I have a 55" Samsung smart tv and would like to know how to play my sonos play 3 as like a sound bar . Thanks!

These tracks cannot be saved to Sonos playlists" Sad to say we`ll probably have to return our recently bought Sonos Play 3 (wanted to upgrade it to Play 5 to get "more sound" in the livingroom, if the system was user friendly), due to not beeing allowed to create our own playlists with our own music, old or new, from our mobile devices. Irritating non-control over what goes where an how, is impossible to accept as a consumer. Also: The feeling i get is that you might get "pressured" into a situation where you HAVE to have a Premium account to get an okay experience with this system (in our case we have Tidal Basic through our cablecompany..and Basic does not work with Sonos). We want to own our music (you know, like in the olden days), not rent it for a monthly fee for a indefinite amount of time (i know that is preferred by the music industry..of course). We buy the system with the speakers, let us use it easily.. Don`t crip

Hi there, We're setting up a new living room and have a query about distance of play 1s connected to a playbar. Based on our layout people sitting on the sofa will be 2.6m away from the playbar. The problem is with speakers on the opposite side of the room the play 1s will be 5 meters away. Is that too far? Want to avoid adding more speakers in the ceiling but worried they will be too far away. Thanks!! David

Hi all, I'm quite new to the audio world and I'm looking for some advice. I have the Sonos Connect Amp with a pair of Bose 151SE outdoor speakers. I've been trying to research an outdoor subwoofer to connect up to the system but I'm having trouble finding one that would work well with the Bose and/or be supported by the Amp. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm not sure about the power requires and overloading. I know from the specs that the Connect Amp has 55watts per channel. Does this include the RCA sub output? I have found this Sonance HS10SUB but I'm not sure of its outputs/power requirements. Any help and recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hi there. I have just set up a wireless internet connection in my house. In order to connect to wifi (through an access point) each device needs to log in with a unique PIN number. I set up Sonos play:3 using the standard setup option, but the speaker does not work because it's basically not connected to the internet, unless I login with the unique PIN. How can I insert this PIN in my speaker so it can connect on my network? Maybe I could connect on the speaker from my laptop using an Ethernet and then insert the login details? Thank you:)

I recently requested info regarding amp RMS power ratings for each of your speakers, which should include ALL technical specs pertaining to sound. I was told SONOS does not disclose this information!!! I'm nearly beside myself not to mention highly pissed off that a manufacturer chooses NOT to disclose to their customers or potential customers this imperative information!!! Technical specs speaks volume (pun intended) of the quality of material used and sound. I'm preparing to outfit my new 3500+ sq ft home with a new sound system and was considering SONOS but apparently you just lost out on a new customer and probably $3k +/- of business, sorry for you...I'm a Klipsch fan and owner and will go with a manufacturer that has NO problem disclosing this info to the public, good luck.... I have two Playone speakers connected over Wifi. Sonos cuts out when I play podcasts stored on my iPad, when I use Spotify, when I stream radio, pretty much anything I try to use Sonos for ... I have been reporting this to Sonos for a month now, although it has been going on for the last six months. Keep getting the same answers, which I try, but it keeps happening. I did not know I needed a course in IT to use these speakers, but here I am ... Got myself a new router with two-point-four and five Ghz channels, two-point.four now dedicated to channel one (I have also tried six and eleven). No other wifi enabled devices in the vicinity of my two speakers (although it is passing strange that the device I have to use to control the speaker cannot be close to the speaker ...). Took my iPhone off Wifi entirely and no longer use it for Sonos, I only use the iPad to control Sonos. I live in a small apartment. My Sub has a cloth cover that does a decent job of keeping out dust but not bass; but inevitably after three years, there is some dust accumulation on the driver cones and rubber surrounds. Are these robust enough to take a brush or a blow to remove the dust? Or should I let sleeping dogs lie? An earlier question on the same line is lost in moderation...

My Play 1's are not working for surround when paired with the playbar. This only occurs when watching TV, when listening to music they sound great - stereo works fine. Does anyone have any advice? I saw that others have had the same issue and have been asked by Sonos to submit a diagnostic so I have also done this. diagnostic is 7727647

I am about to move back to college to finish off my final year of schooling and I have noticed that I am missing some rubber feet for the bottom and sides of my Play 3. I've tried looking around to see if there's a retailer that sells them but I've been out of luck. Are there any recommendations on where to buy them or even where to find them? I've a CD-player (analog line out). How do I connect this to my Sonos speakers play 1 and 5?

Hello, I currently have two stereo paired Play:3's on a screened in 3-season room (with roof). We only listen to music in the space. The sound is great but I'd like to improve it even more. I currently have the Play:3's installed in the upper corners of the room diagonal from each other. Not sure if this is the recommended way to have them installed, but it sounds great with the stereo paring. I'm wondering if adding 2 more Play:3's in the other corners would result in noticeably fuller sound. Or is there a different route? Perhaps put the 3's opposite each other on the same wall then add two Play:1's on the opposite wall corners for a sort of home theater style surround sound. I'm willing to spend some money to optimize even though it may be overkill. 🙂 My goal is to optimally fill the room with sound. The room size is 12'x20'. The height of the speakers is 8'6" off the ground. Again it's a screened in porch on 3 sides so the sound isolation is poor.

When will Sonos come out with rechargeable portable wireless weatherproof/outdoor speakers? Want to easily bring them outside when I'm working on my car or in the pool, this would be a long overdue addition to the product line.

After growing so fond of my play 1's for many years, it was hard to do a side by side comparisons against my second gen play 5's. The articulate sounds out of the play 1 in the mid and tweeter (in my opinion) are far superior to that of the play 5's more set back and less bright sound. Then you add the bass, which I love, but even further dampens the uppers of the play 5. This can't be adjusted properly with just the Treble option or by reducing the bass. It needs to be adjusted by Sonos via software update. If I'm not mistaken, they did the same thing to the play 1 a couple years after introduction. The play 1 vocal clarity and instrument clarity is just superior in all aspects IMO. This is especially noticeable with Jazz and acoustic songs.

I have just bought a LG OLED55B7V and I cannot get the remote to work with my Playbar. I have read the guide on SONOS support page but I must be an idiot, because I cannot find the "Device Connecter menu" from the launcher. Do anyone knows where to find this? Is it in the LG TV menu or the SONOS app and where to I find it? I have searched anywhere. I know there is no line in on the Play:3 to plug it in the Dot but other than that I am not too tech savvy. Are my choices either stick with my Play3 or buy a new bluetooth speaker to pair with the Dot? Is there any way for them to work together? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, we have bought four Play 1 speakers for our office. We were told that users could mute the speakers if they needed to answer the phone for instance. Unfortunately this doesn't appear to be entirely true. When a user PAUSES their speaker, it pauses the whole group. So it isn't a mute function at all. We have the speakers grouped, because obviously in an open plan office we wouldn't want four different music streams, and playing the same stream on four ungrouped speakers would sound terrible as they wouldn't be synced. Is there a way around this limitation?
