I have noticed these products being advertised (some new, some used) but having different box designs as shown on the attached. I am wondering if these are both genuine or if the white one is a counterfeit. Anyone know the answer to this please?
Hi all, I have a sonos one stereo pair and I would like to add a subwoofer ...but as you probably all know the Sonos subwoofers are mega money. So my idea was to buy a Sonos connect amp and add an active Subwoofer which I already own ...using the amp’s subwoofer output But the question is ...will this work with the Sonos one Stereo pair? Thx
Low end and mid range distortions
i have two play ones, playbase and sub. All but the playbase is showing up on the app/controller. There is no issue with the sound. I tried everything - restarting the router, playbase and app many times. In the beginning there would be no sound, but after replugging the playbase the sounds came back but still not connecting on the app. All other devices are working fine and no issue with the volume. Help!
A customer shared an idea with us to be able to adjust the left / right balance of the surround speakers using the equalizer function in the Sonos app. What do you think?
Hi, I've just spent the last 3 hours trying to configure my new Play:5 speaker. Unboxed it in the kitchen and started the app to configure it. Sporadically managed to detect it from my Android phone, but never managed to complete the config. Tried again with my girlfriend's iphone, which always managed to detect it but never complete wifi config. So I moved it to the living room and connected it with the cable. It finally worked. So I moved it back to the kitchen, but again nothing. (Everything else works on the wifi there, with max signal strength.) Moved it back to cable in the living room, and reconfigured wifi. Unplugged the cable and it worked on wifi!!! So I moved it across the living room to the table, but again it didn't work. :( So once more I moved it back right next to the router, without the cable. Now it worked fine. So while playing a song I moved it about 2 meter away. The song kept playing, but I lost control from my phone and was unable to pause, and then the
I had the sub upright (vertical) at first and found that the bass was barely audible (imo). So I decided to place the felt pads in place and lie it down horizontally. Are there some people out there who prefer this horizontal position for the sub? (I seem to like the SQ in the horizontal). Are there downsides to it? I was thinking it might be more prone to dust in the inners. Thanks for responses.
It would be great to use play 1 as computer speaker. i dont want to buy other third party speakers, i just want to add to my sonos system! buy 2 and pair them. and if I need them elsewhere i can just move them and use them as normal. maybe an added feature on the mac app that would allow it to be mirrored the same way you can play music from you ipad now.
Hi .. I have connected a pro ject III turntable through a project preamp and into my play5 .. all working fine except for a really audible buzzing sound ... any ideas please ? Thank you
I have a Play one in my kitchen, but it is getting some covering of "kitchen residue" ie sticky feeling from being near my cooker. I have covers for the top, but can anyone suggest a covering for the speaker mesh which goes 360 degrees around the speaker unit. Hope I described my question in an understandable way. Thanks.
Hello. While playing music from Spotify in the Sonos app, I frequently get interruptions, due to “connection to Spotify lost”. Seems like many others have the same problem, and I’ve tried several of the remedies mentioned in this forum (restarting the boost, removing Spotify from the music services and then adding it again, etc). This has made the problem less frequent, but it still occurs unacceptably often. Play music from Yousee Music in Sonos app, is almost ok. Diagnostic number 8435344. Please advice!
Just bought the Sonos Play One and I'm looking to purchase a Playbar to hook all 3 speakers (the Playbar and 2 ones) with my TV. I want to make sure that this combination is supported. The only ones I see available for TV sound mention the older Play 1s paired with a Playbar AND subwoofer. My desired configuration are the pair of Sonos Play Ones with the Playbar (no subwoofer as I have sound constraints from neighbors).
Apologies if this has already been covered. I've just paired a new Sub with a pair of Play 5s (perhaps overkill, but loving it). Can someone please give me an overview of the difference between increasing the bass in the Play 5 EQ setting and boosting the Sub's bass directly? Does the former action only affect the Play 5, or does it boost the Sub's bass as well? Is there a crossover setting I am not seeing? Should I use the two levers in conjunction with each other? I understand the "musical taste" theory, so I'm just looking for some technical help and maybe everyone's experiences with adjusting the two levers. Thanks.
both on TV and music its constantly cutting in and out. My diagnostics # is: 8335003
Hi Folks, Is there any announcements or indications on whether/when there'll be a new 3?
I have found someone selling two Play 5's (generation 1) for 400 total. How would that compare with my two Ones that I have in my living room currently? Is it worth the money to change them out and move my Ones to other rooms, or is the sound quality better out of the Ones since they are newer? Any suggestions welcome.
Please can someone help ! I've had my sonos system for 7 months and love it however a couple of nights ago the speaker in my hall started making really weird sounds, like a door opening, then half an hour later a baby started to cry from the speaker randomly for the rest of the evening. Last night I was going to bed then I heard my speaker in my bedroom produce a sound like a plate or glass breaking followed by the crying baby sound - it was really loud! It's starting to freak me out and I don't know how to stop it. It seems to only happen at night and is totally random ! None of my friends are doing this using my wifi by the way. I've read that www.fastcompany.com has managed to hack into the Sonos App which might explain what's happening however I'm not sure what I need to do to stop what's happening now. Can anyone help? Should I delete the App from my iPhone and reinstall ?
Hi peeps. I have 2 new Sonos Ones as a left and right stereo pair. I am thinking of buying a Playbar, which I know will connect to my tv through the audio out through it, but can I connect all speakers together and play Spotify / Deezer through Playbar and Ones as a whole?? Thanks!!
It would appear that this will be the last year of Sonos. Between the cancer of their lousy 5.0 app their anti-customer policy of outright refusing to fix it, their market lead will almost certainly be gone by X-mas. Look at the list of companies currently selling directly competitive products and note that nearly every one of them has vastly greater name recognition and audio experience than Sonos: Bose Soundtouch Wren V5 Definitive W Series Polk Omni Samsung Shape Gramofon Monster Soundstage And note that DTS, the audio granddaddy of them all has gone all-in, along with Qualcomm, the true granddaddy of wireless audio. The audio giants have released the open standards Allplay and Play-Fi, allowing consumers to mix/match their WiFi audio brands/products as easily as we do with other WiFi devices. Today Sonos has a significant edge over every one of these offerings, but will they still have it 3 months from now? There will surely be a half-dozen more brands announced wi
Hi, I have a Sonos 5.1 surrond sound setup with: 1x Playbar 1x Sub 2x Sonos One The surround sound is great when I am playing Dolby Digital 5.1 content. However when I am not playing 5.1 content, only the Playbar will have sound. Is there a way for the system to utilise the Sonos Ones as well as the Playbar to play stereo content when it detects the content is not 5.1?
It would be really great if the play 3 or a play 5 had a optical output so i could use it for my tv in my bedroom. Im not going to buy a playbar for a bedroom when they are 700 bucks. A smaller speaker for tv’s in bedrooms would be a great add to the sonos family
Has anyone actually been in a position to compare floor stands for Sonos One Speakers, in terms of build quality, functionality and aesthetic appearance. I have seen products advertised from four different manufacturers, but haven’t actually seen any of them ‘in the flesh’. The images that accompany the advertisements online are not that informative really and its therefore difficult to compare. I have a pair of Sonos One’s and am looking to invest in stands, but would like to get some informed opinions from those 'in the know' so to speak, before buying.
Two speakers for two kind of music? (do not want to start a war between the pro-Sonos & the pro-Denon, if any here...) Hello, I currently have the Play:1 and the Heos 1 on my desk for listening comparison. I first received the Sonos speaker 'cause I read a lot of good about this little guy and the whole system. Firt I have been impressed with the strengh of this small speaker: sound is precise, the bass are hammering very neatly.... but but but i quickly found that the vocals/trebles were kind of muffled... I have been listening old rock from the 70's or 80 french pop. I was bothered because for the rest, the speaker is really nice. To get the end of it, I ordered a Heos 1 side by side comparison (thks to Spotify app that allows to switch from one speaker to another instantly 🙂 ). Immediately, with the Heos, i found that the trebles/vocals had more room, broader experience. On the contrary, the bass are les punchy. After a little tweking in the app to enhance the bass,
I received a Playbar for Christmas and was told my 2006 model Sony Bravia is not compatible with the Player. May I use the Playbar for music only connected to my other Sonos speakers?
Hello, I am a long time user of Sonos and have loved your product since it it came out. I am running a Sonos Bridge with 2 Sonos Play5 speakers. I recently tried to play music and noticed no status light on my Bridge. The networks lights on the back of the bridge are ON but the light on the top of the bridge isnt. Instead it's a faded white blinking light. I physically connected my speakers to my router and was able to connect with no issues. However, I cant connect the Bridge. I've tried rebooting the router and modem but no luck. I just sent over my support diagnostics, confirmation number 8419155. Please let me know what I can try to get my system back up and running. Thank you, -Isaac
