I can access my favourite songs, albums and stations easily via the mobile app, but only seem to access them via the PC app as a single mixed up section called Favourites, which is awful. I can however see a Playlists section in both apps. Seems the PC app has no concept of My Sonos like the mobile app.

Tagging @Corry P for visibility. There are countless, well-documented threads all over these and other forums outlining issues with the LPCM implementation on both of Sonos’ eARC capable devices (Beam Gen 2 and Arc). The heavy hitters continue to be the incredibly low-volume, as well as popping and crackling when sound starts and stops. These are issues for a significant market share of folks (Apple TV users, PS5 users, Xbox users, etc.), and even more importantly, this is a feature that was released over 1.5 years ago. It would be really encouraging to know that these things are actually being considered/investigated.Generally, we all really love Sonos and want to stick with it, but it’s becoming harder to do that when core issues (sound quality and performance) seem to take a back seat to more superfluous things (i.e. a voice assistant). From my vantage point, folks have a bad taste in their mouth when it comes to the recent dropout issue, and how the acknowledgment/ownership of that
Sonos Arc Height effects…After 4 months of intense movie watching on my Sonos Arc, table mounted, 2.5m flat roof, sat 6feet away, here are the movie scenes I found to be most impressive. Please add yours in the comments so I can watch them too 😀These are in order of ‘best to worst’ in my opinion (based on height, not overall atmos’1. At the beginning of May I purchased two SANUS speaker stands for my SL One’s. One of the speaker stands has a faulty part as in the base does not screw into the upright - it’s poorly manufactured.Since receiving the item and trying to set it up I’ve been back and forth with SONOS to have a replacement sent. It’s now been 4 weeks! and I’ve still not had a replacement sent or the correct returns procedure given to me.Is SONOS service always this poor?????
Maybe I'm the only one who feels this way (I’m not), but the way I'm marketed to in the Sonos S2 app feels thirsty and crass. Most companies allow their users to opt out of marketing communications because that decision should really be up to the users. And before anyone suggests App Preferences > Allow Pop-up Messages, it's more than just disabling pop-up ads. The little blue badge that appears over the Inbox icon and also over the My Sonos tab icon in the app tray preys on the learned behaviour that notification badges are calls-to-action and get many users to try to figure out how to make them go away. Users are forced to view these ads in order to clear the badge. It's manipulative and encourages the notification anxiety/addiction problems that most ethical app developers are finally starting to move away from. It's especially crass because I have literally paid for your products already, so putting self-promoting ads in an app that only works if I/someone gave you money for somet
I would like to know if this is a good solution to play hi res files (24bit 192khz) on a sonos five stereo system. As far as I know and read in div. threads in this forum it is not possible to stream Apple Hi-Res lossless via the Sonos app (only AAC 256). Amazon Music Ultra HD or Quobuz/ Tidal is limited to 24bit 48khz.Streaming from Apple Devices via Airplay is also limited to lossless (16bit 44khz).That's why I thought about the following:Usage of my Apple Devices (Mac or iPad) via DAC (e.g Topping DS 50 or FIIO) connect via USB and then use line in to Sonos five. I can see (via a borrowed RME ADI2 ) that I receive 24bit 192khz from my Apple devices. My question now is: is the SONOS five directly using this stream without any further conversions, or does it convert the stream, when it is played locally via the wired connection described above (Mac-USB-DAC-jack plug -Line in Sonos five)?Anyone using this solution already? How does it sound? Thanks a lot, regards tomyc
I’m putting a gym in my new townhouse. The room is large with tall ceilings - 13’ ceilings & about 22’x23’ dimensions. I want a killer Sonos system in there to blast high quality music (alternative, rock, hip-hop). I’m willing to spend up to $4K.I’m considering the following and would love any input, advice.-2 Sonos Five’s and 1 Sonos Sub-Sonos Amp with 2 floor standing or 4 bookshelf speakers-Sonos Port (I have an extra one) with a 3rd party power amplifier and 2 floor standing or 4 bookshelf. If you suggest one of the latter couple options, I’d love to know any ideas for Speakers & Power Amplifier. I’m not super familiar with brands. I’ve been reading a lot of good stuff about Kef and Klipsch lately. Any specific combos of amp & speakers for this use case would be great. Thanks
I knew this was bound to happen…My 25+ y.o. Marantz died a year and a half ago. I was using it for both TV and music.I could just buy another ampli to replace it, since the speakers were (are) still good, but I wanted something “smart”, streaming capable, more compact (speakers are 50x30x20cm approx), lighter, and I’m no audiophile. I usually “hear” the music while I do something else, don’t just sit in my sweet spot listening to it, or just do it briefly. In the end I decided to try something different, and got the Beam, knowing it was a compromise. Nice, but a bit lacking for music, bit shallow, no depth. So I added a Sub:The set up is pleasant indeed, and satisfying for some kind of music (…whenever bass is heavily involved). But recently I got myself a decent couple of earbuds, and realized I’m missing separation, definition and details. What to do?Add a couple Ones. In the front, right and left side of the Beam, to be used only for music, or back to also serve as sorround, but losin
So today I recieved an email saying that Sonos Radio was now available on the web, the email linked me to a website where I could sample stations for 45 minutes tops. Is this the planned extent for this web radio feature?
First of I want to say that I have been using Sonos products since 2009. Besides Sonos, I had a lot of gear but none of it could match Sonos's ease of use and sound quality (for the price). I have to come clean and say that I am used to using Sonos everywhere and I love it. As an audiophile, I was looking to replace my aging Sonos Connect with Port and realized from all the reviews that it does not have a better digital output. This was a show stopper for me and it is a show stopper for all audiophiles out there. You are missing a very important niche of the market. It is taken by Raspberry Pie implementations and Bluesound and Aurelia, not because they have better software or support for services, but because they have a better digital output. That is it. Nothing else. Everyone I have talked to said they like Sonos but the digital output is jittery. I have tried a lot of solutions and even they sound better than Connect over coax they are all not easy to use, do not have support for t
It does not work with Google home. I don’t understand why I need to login into Spotify when I didn’t with the Bose 900, I can’t even play the radio without having to sign up for yet another service. Cannot control the audio through the Google home app, pretty sure it is possible seems purposeful. Cannot connect my laptop to the arc without purchasing additional hardware.Don’t really care about your law suite with Google. A good product and a good community cannot be copied so good luck with law suite but I am not Google so why are you punishing me?
Hello team, Any plan for such a new feature in the S2 app ?
Does anyone know any website apart from eBay and other marketplaces to buy old discontinued Sonos Play-1. I already have a Play-1 and recently bought a Beam 2. I would like to pair the existing Play-1 with the Beam to setup surround speakers. Since the old Play-1 and One SL can’t be paired I’m looking to buy the old Play-1. Upgrading to two One SLs would be expensive for me. Any leads on this is much appreciated. Even if someone is willing to sell, happy to make an offer.
Hi there,I have an amp that is connected to 3 pairs of Sonos Sonance ceiling speakers in my living room. Can I connect a Sonos turntable to that same amp? I’d like to be able to play records over the living room speakers. Thanks,Derrek
I thought I posted this, but it disappeared. If it is double posted, my apologies.I just started getting where I lose audio out of my Sub linked to the Arc. I noticed that if I toggle the Sub from "On" to "Off" in the Sonos app, I get the audio back. Recovering the Arc and Sub fix the issue, but eventually it returns. Is anyone else experiencing this or am I doing something. I know this sounds odd, but it is definitely happening is it has occurred a few times in the past few days. Thanks for the help Diagnostic Report #1207564481
I have been listening to music on my Sonos system for a few ours and then the sound just stopped. The app still shows music playing.I closed app and restarted. I unplugged speakers and restarted. I unplugged modem and router and restarted. Still no sound coming from either speaker.Does anyone have a solution?
Organic growth - with your existing customers - is often considered preferable in business. So why did Sonos choose to abandon S1 users (besides keeping S1 wheezing along)? Yes, fanbros, I understand that Sonos’s adding additional features like Alexa compatibility required additional memory and, so, change, but why not communicate with, and try to incorporate, your existing customer base into the process?
I have two Sonos Architectural speakers that are powered by the Sonos amp. If like to buy one more, but I only see options to buy in pairs. Is there a resource for only purchasing one to add to my existing system?
I have a bedroom that is 15’ x17’ with a peaked ceiling 12’ high.Only audio will be utilized in this room. Should I just put one Sonos 5 on a stand at one wall of this room or would I be better served by a different set-up?
Hi everyone,I’m planning on setting up a home theater using an UST projector (LG HU85LS).The projector does have HDMI-ARC, so I was thinking on getting the Arc for LCR and bonding a couple of Ones for the rear sorround.I have a couple of questions though:1 - An ultra short-throw projector looks great and nite in a cedenza, so I struggle to undetstand where I’d place a soundbar. In front of it? I sure didn’t want to mount it on the wall. Anybody with sound system connected to a UST projector? Where do you place your soundbar? Is there an alternative to it?2 - I’d place the One’s on the back of the couch, which is in front of the dining table. Will I listen the news from the there as well? Or will basic cable channel stereo audio be output through the soundbar only? Thanks,
So I have read a lot. I just recently got screwed with Insteon so I am looking at changing everything (yes expensive). This will be getting leak sensors and also switching to Lutron Casseta and switch to home kit and get a HomePod miniWhere it gets a bit muddy i have all older sonos products including the play one with Alexa. I could just keep my music separate with the use of Alexa, spotify and make my home automation on HomeKit. This is still not ideal as I would like to be able to use one interface if I can. Can I use my sonos with Alexa and still use my old speakers and have it work with HomeKit and HomePod mini?I have read various things where you can do it through airplay, if I was to get one of the new Sonos speakers but this is yet another rather large purchase. Can I add all my old sonos speaker into HomeKit and then ask siri to play music for example or just go into spotify and chose my music and have it play on my old speakers while still being able to ask Siri to turn
I recently upgraded to S2 at last and was disappointed to find that the S2 Controller for the Mac is still not remotely accessible. There was a discussion about this on S1 years ago and I think that thread is Locke now. Most of the buttons aren’t labelled, so when you use it you just hear “button, button, button, button” as you move through items. Then it seems impossible to give all the import bits focus. I can’t navigate to the choose rooms button (although the dialog that appears does work with VO if I can somehow get lucky with the mouse), and neither the queue or browse panes seem to be usable at all.I’m really disappointed how little Sonos seem to regard the Mac app. By way of contrast, the iPhone app is really great. But if it worked, it would be much faster and more convenient for me to use the Mac in most cases. Is there any way of this ever getting any attention? I feel that a lot of the issues are very likely to be trivial to fix.
Hi everyone, I'm planning on setting up a sonos-based 5.1 home theater on my new home, but first of all it's like to understand if the projector I want to get does properly support Dolby Atmos, TrueHD, etc.The projector in question is the LG HU85LS (I think it's an Europe-branded version of the HU85LA).LG's website seems unclear on whether eARC is supported or not. Could someone help me decipher this table from the manual? Is eARC supported or not? What are the constraints? All I want to understand is if I can simply connect it to a Sonos Arc and have the best audio from streaming services and such. Thanks a bunch guys!
