Does anybody know when the Play 5 will be back in stock and if Covid 19 has impacted production and the supply chain?
I already have a record deck connected to my connect amp. Can I also connect a CD player and still choose between devices via the software?
My TV currently has a Playbar connected via Optical Cable and the sound has been wonderful. However, we have two rear speakers that we have not been utilizing and now it’s time for a slight upgrade. I’m looking to add a Sonos AMP (new version) to the mix. Question for the community: Will Sonos AMP be connected wirelessly to Playbar? Or do I need to physically connect it to HDMI ARC from the TV as well?
Hi, I have had dropouts when I stream content to my Playbar since the end of October. I have my Playbar setup as a home theatre with a sub and two Sonos One. I also have 4 more Sonos One speakers in different rooms. The dropouts only happen on the home theatre. I have never had a dropouts with the other speakers. I spent 3 hours on the phone with Sonos Support trying different options: Playbar wired to the routeur, changing channel of the SonosNet, changing the output format of my TV, etc. Nothing work. They asked to move the Playbar in another room because the support agent thought it was cause by interference. It worked but for me it doesn’t make sense that it was cause by interference. When I moved the Playbar in another room, I unplugged the optical cable. I figured out that the problem is when the optical cable from the TV is plugged to the Playbar. I put back the Playbar where it was (below the TV) without plugging the optical cable and then, no dropouts. The problem is r
Hi, I have a Sonos One set up on a standard Comcast XFinity wifi connection. I am unable to see the Sonos One as an option via AirPlay. Sonos One was purchased fall of 2019 new from Best Buy. I have a 2013 and a 2017 MacBook Pro, both of which I would like to use to connect to Sonos One via Airplay. The software on all devices is up to date (Sonos firmware, Sonos software and operating system software). My first thought was that my devices weren’t compatible but I just bought the Sonos One and it’s listed as a compatible devices on your site. When I go into the Music app and click the AirPlay icon only my computer shows up. Many thanks!!
Hi there, I would like to know if Sonos move gives a mono sound or a stereo sound on its own? Tanks
Everytime I open the sonos app on my iphone, it asks me to turn on bluetooth. I don’t use bluetooth and won’t turn it on, how do I turn off this prompt when I open the app? The app works through wireless not bluetooth.
I am getting a “network problem” error message when I try to do a Trueplay tune on any of the Sonos devices on my system. I’ve submitted a diagnostic - the number is: 961276926 Here is the error messge: Any ideas what the problem is? Thanks.
Hello: I am purchasing a new construction home that has an extensive amount of wiring for smart home capabilities without any existing equipment. There are 48 in-ceiling speaker holes with audio wire ran to the tech room. I have purchased all Sonos products for my previous homes, and love the product, but I haven’t had a need for this many speakers in a home. 1). I have read you can have 32 Sonos products in one system. Will there be any performance issues for connecting 48 speakers to 24 amps on 1 system in a 10k square foot home? The speakers will all be wired to one place, and all of the AMPs will be located in the tech room. I also planned on using Playbars for 4 TVs, which would put me at 29 connected products. 2). Is it possible to connect more than 2 speakers to 1 amp? The living room, for example, has 4 in-ceiling speakers. Thank you!
Just would like to know if I can enjoy sound from my SONOS system with a Bluetooth headphones by connecting a Bluetooth transmitter like Sennheiser BT-T100 (with digital input) with SONOS Port’s digital out?
I have the new Sonos Amp with Oberon 5 speakers as a replacement for my PlayBar. I am disappointed by 1. the implementation of the phantom center channel on this, 2. the DSP settings available for the surround speakers and 3. overall brightness, especially when adding the Sub. Although the Amp is an improvement for Music alone, the Playbar is better for Movies (together with Trueplay, Sub and Surrounds). It seems like a half finished product to me and hopefully they will make improvements over time. 1. Phantom center: I already noticed that voices are very low in volume compared to movie sound effects on my Playbar, but this is even more noticeable on the AMP. Due to complaints Sonos has partly solved this in the past by adding a button which artificially increases the “voice frequencies”. This option is far from ideal as it does not cover all voices (especially low ones) and it also brightens the rest of sound image. A much better option would be in my opinion if Sonos let you choose
I have just purchased the beam, two sonos ones as surround sound and it makes a massive difference to my TV experience so far BUT My TV is a samsung smart tv and when I insert media, movie or via USB. I have two options of sound mode PCM and DOLBY DIGITAL Which is best to get the best surround sound for my system
Hi there, I may be way off base here, so apologies in advance, but I couldn’t find a clear answer anywhere. I have an older Play:3 (and some other stuff, but the rest doesn’t really matter for now) that does not work with Airplay 2. I also have a record player. As such, I was considering getting a Port to connect my record player to my audio system., but have a few assumptions/questions: I understand that the Port supports Airplay 2. I understand the Port will connect my record player to my existing system. I assume the Port will work with the Play:3, and therefore my record player will work with the Play:3. If my understandings and assumption above are correct, then will I be able to use Airplay 2 from my iPhone (let’s assume in Spotify), play via Port, and then choose the Play:3 to play music through, effectively giving the Play:3 Airplay 2 support? Again, apologies if I’m missing something. I hope I’m right, but reckon I’m probably wrong here :)
Hi guys, wondering if anyone else has experienced this: My Move’s red battery light is flashing. The unit is playing music without issues and the battery level is shown at 89% on the App. The unit is on WiFi. What could this mean? The FAQs mention faulty condition, but how come the unit is running normally. Diagnostic sent: 158561526
I have see some very old threads talking about the exact same issue that I am facing. I have a Sonos Beam with Sub and two Sonos SLs I have the beam connected to TCL6 series via HDMI arc and TV audio is set to output Dolby Digital. I am using native roku apps to stream. When I play YouTube, I get good dialogue volume, Level 20 is good enough and the music and dialog levels seem balanced. When I play netflix, the sound effects are way too loud in comparison and dialogues are barely audible. To make sense of the dialogues I have to turn up volume to 40 or even higher however that makes the effects too loud. I have to constantly keep adjusting the volume. This is so frustrating. It almost feels like the center channel is not loud enough in either 3.1 or 5.1 setup. I have tried the Speech Enhancement too, it helps a little but not enough. I have also tried True Play tuning many times. Any more ideas?

Many thanks in advance for any help offered and hopefully I’ve explained my self well enough SET UP TV running into a Sony amp with a sonos connect connected to allow sonos to play through the 5.1 speakers Patio two Bose speakers running through a sonos connect amp Outdoor Kitchen two more Bose speakers running through another sonos connect amp (I also have a play bar on the tv in the kids playroom but
I am trying to replace my Connect Gen1 with a Gen2. (I do not want the Connect amp, just the Connect) Looking through the used offers on a auction site, none of them say Gen1 or Gen2. How can I tell its a Gen2 ? Would the serial number help ?
I have a pair of One SLs wall mounted in a smallish sIzed bedroom configured in stereo for use with Apple Music and Airplaying from phones. They sound great but I feel like a Sub might help give a fuller sound. Would the Sub be overkill? Can the sub be configured to work with the two SLs in a 2.1 setup? Cheers.
With the new Sonos radio source, can anyone note the quality of the streams? Granted much of this is source dependent (the radio stations that encode their streams), but was wondering if, in relative terms to TuneIn, this would be better quality? Or is the intention that it’s just better integrated than TuneIn and more stable streams? Otherwise, the curation alone is a tough way to distinguish from other services.
Hi everyone, Quick question. I have a Play 5 Gen 2 that I was looking to stereo pair with another Play 5. When I looked online, I can see now there is a Play 5 Gen 3, that looks very similar to the one I have. Digging a little deeper I saw you can’t pair a Gen 1 with a Gen 2, but I can’t find anything on pairing the Gen 2 and a Gen 3 play 5. Are they considered more or less the same as they look identical? Or should I just opt for the cheaper Gen 2 Play 5? Any help would be most appreciated!
So from last night to tonight I open my app to change the music in my bedroom...I go to ROOMS and I see the below screen shot...I click on bedroom and it gives me an option of “Let’s do this” or later...so I pick later but it takes me to the same screen shot below and I cannot access my music. I don’t want to upgrade...I’m happy where my system is...I use it for sound in my house coming from my music collection and nothing more...no alexa, no google, no pandora, nothing but a wireless speaker system..now sonos is forcing me to upgrade and I have no idea if after my upgrade my system will work or not since some of my equipment is 15 years or so. I shouldn’t have to be forced to upgrade. What the hell gives?
I have version 11.0 installed for macOS. It forces me to update it in order to use it. When I give it to look for update it tells me "Updating the driver and then failed to update the driver." Thank you
For years i have enjoyed access to radio all over the world and yet recently I am advised that my access is restricted and I now need to log onto Radio Denon.com to access the radio stations. On so doing, I am requested to pay a fee. Anybody know why this is the case?
Hi - I recently purchased a SONOS One SL to use as a computer monitor. The problem is that my iMac (2019 model, macOS Catalina 10.15.4) keeps reverting to the internal speaker and I have to reacquire the SONOS. It is annoying. Has anyone found a way to permanently keep the SONOS speaker connected? I have tried setting it to the SONOS in Settings, and it keeps changing back when there is no sound. I asked support, and they told me that it is the operating system, which they did not write, which I pretty much knew already.
Sonos only offers one radio service in the UK, it is called Tune In. Tens of thousands of UK Sonos customers access the Tune In radio service daily via Alexa. BBC has now terminated Tune In/Alexa access to their services. Tune In/Sonos app selection of BBC radio stations is ok, but less convenient than Alexa voice control. Tune In/Alexa on Amazon Echo still works, but we invested in Sonos to enjoy the sound quality. Surely lack of a solution will quickly and directly impact UK Sonos sales? There are several active user threads discussing the issue but no real solutions. What is Sonos doing to restore access to BBC radio services in UK via Alexa?
