I have read 10 threads on issues switching the Move to Bluetooth connection. I've clicked the BT side, I've clicked middle, I've clicked it quickly, I've held it down for over a minute, and at no point in any combination of where I pressed and how long I pressed has the light turned blue and the speaker chimed to indicate it switched to Bluetooth connection. Has anyone else gotten to this point? Did I just get a lemon? I'd like to make 100% sure I haven’t gone dumb sitting at home at year before I go to the hassle of returning it.
Hi, I just bought a used Sonos One Gen 2 speaker. I have read in the Sonos documentation that the warranty is transferable, but only if BOTH the previous and new owner register the transfer of ownership with Sonos. But unfortunately, no additional information is provided by Sonos on how to do this and the Sonos website offers absolutely no help on this. Thank you!
Hi - looking for some guidance…Set-up my Play bar yesterday, all good on that front. Have the optical cable going from the play-bar to the tv, and the tv connected to my Sky q (2tb) box via hdmi. Is this correct? Looking through my skyq audio settings, the ‘Digital Audio output HDMI’ is set as normal, if I choose Dolby Digital there is no sound.Should i connect the skyq box to the playbar direct?*Update* So when I connect playbar directly to the skyq box via optical I automatically get the sky sound through the playbar even when the tv is not switched on* #confused
Sonos, what the heck? Why can’t I set night mode to come on at night? It’s called Night Mode. It has a picture of the moon. It’s been a feature request on here for *years*.Why can I still not schedule night mode to come on at night?
Hi there! This is my first post here as I just got my first Sonos speaker ever, a One Gen. 2. I've always been into tech and I always do extensive research before buying something, which I've done in this case as well. Everyone is ranting about how great the sound quality of the One is, but I must say I am deeply dissapointed in how almost any song sounds over 50% volume. I feel like the speaker has all the ingredients to be amazing, great bass for it's size, good sound separation and crisp highs and mids, except when I go over 50-60%. It just sounds muddy, harsh, simply not enjoyable and has a weird echoey feel to it over 50-60% volume. Why would they even make it go to 100% if it's just impossible to listen to at even half that? Just to make it clear, I'm not some crazy audiophile, but as a simple example, I bought my dad a JBL Charge 4 for Christmas, which I thought sounded absolutely fantastic even at high volumes, so I'm honestly very confused that a 100$(on offer) bluetooth speak
Hi, I have a new Sonos Arc that will not play any sound from my Apple TV unless I restart the Apple TV. Also with my XBox One I can only get sound to the Arc if I turn off my TV and turn it back on. I notice that when I finally see the light flash green on the Arc then the sound (and remote) works again. Never had these issues with the Playbar. TV: Sony XBR-75X900E Setup: Device → HDMI in on TV → HDMI ARC out to Sonos Arc Suggestions to fix? Rebooting devices and TV to make the sound work is really annoying.
Question #1: The bottom of my LG CX 55” set’s screen is only 1 and 5/8 inches from the surface, so obviously I need to raise it to place the ARC in front of it. In trying to figure out how much to raise it, how much distance should there be between the top of the ARC and the bottom of the TV screen? Question #2: What is the maximum distance recommended between the bottom of the TV screen and the top of the ARC to maintain a sense that the sound is coming from the mouths of the characters speaking on the TV? Thanks,Brian
I have a Sonos Arc + Sub + p1 surrounds connected to my TV via ARC. When playing TrueHD 7.1 (HDMI passthrough → transcoded to EAC3) movies, “About my System” in the S2 app shows “Dolby Digital Plus 7.1” (Question) From what I have read, it seems clear Sonos does not have 7.1, I was wondering if “something is being lost” as the Sonos system seems to be trying to play 7.1 when it “can’t”. Or maybe the scenario above is perfectly fine. Thanks!
As this is my first time on here, I have no idea if this question is in the right place, but here goes. I have seen some of the other posts about the legacy product issues which I knew was happening, but this morning, for me, it went a step further. We currently have 6 zones of old products, all working fine. We gave our daughter a Sonos 1 for her birthday today. When I went to add it to the system I found I couldn’t. Operating system no longer supported. So I tried another controller, and another, and another. We have 3 phones, an ipad, an ipod touch, a Samsung Tablet A, a Z200 and a computer running windows 10. NONE of these devices will allow me to add a new component into the system. Are Sonos now bricking all the rest of my devices as well? They all work fine for everything we need to do; except now none work properly with Sonos. I was about to go and buy a cheap phone just so my daughter is not devastated that her birthday present is an absolute dud, but now the android phones ha
Why cant I switch user in Sonos like switching between spotify accounts so other familymember can play in Sonos and other be listening on spotify on mobile. Always problem when I am on my mobile and my wife has to use my sonos account and my spotify so therefore music stops and it is frustrating. Is any workaround on this matter
How can I connect our Epson Powerlite 2550U projector to our Sonos without a wire? What do I need to buy as far as adaptors or os this not even possible? I really don't want to hardwire. Thanks!
I press the Bluetooth button but nothing happens and the light doesn’t turn blue . It is already set up with WiFi , but don’t know why I can’t switch to Bluetooth
As I wait for my Sonos Arc to arrive, I’m thinking about all of this way too much. I think I’ve been cooped up at home too long and putting together my first Sonos system is giving me a new project to obsess over. ;-) Question: For those Sonos veterans who have put together 5.1 systems for their Beam / Playbar, has the lack of DTS support been an issue for you? And, if so, how have you gotten around it? Have you ever run into a situation where you simply weren’t able to get any audio because of lack of DTS support? Thanks in advance for any input!
Hi community,I've had the Arc pretty much from day one, wall mounted and hooked to a LG B6 65" OLED and an Apple TV 4k. I used to be able to hear a very notable difference when toggling Speech Enhancement On or Off. Now there's literally no difference.I tried reseting the Arc with no success. Yes, I made sure content is 5.1.What else can I try? Thanks!
HiI have seen a lot of posts about audio issues with apple tv 4k box, and thought I would have similar, I was reading to get atmos and then 5.1 audio you had to manually switch settings on the apple tv box.I just played an movie in atmos and another movie in Dolby Digital 5.1 without having to change settings. Just curious why It seems fine here, is it because I have full eARC chain? I do have one issue though I exited an atmos movie and I got stuttering audio, I also get that zip noise that people have mentioned.
I have a problems with TuneIn Pro and american radio station KDRADIO.com As of today I get a regional restriction error. Any idea why? Thanks Geoff
Hello everyone, I have been eyeing the Sonos Arc for a few weeks now, and after much research, I have come to the conclusion that my TV (an LG B8) should work, and I am close to pulling the trigger. There is however one thing holding me back. I have read that in order to get the best performance from the Arc, you should ideally have a relatively square small living room, and I have…not quite that. So I was hoping to get a sense of, how well the Sonos Arc would work in my living room which is on these pictures below. Can I expect the surround effect to work reasonably well, or will the height of the ceiling and size of the room swallow the sound?I have two spare Play:1’s, which I plan to use as rear speakers, but due to the price-tag, I plan to hold off on the Sub for now. Thank you so much in advance for your input - I really appreciate it/Rasmus
I am thinking of getting an arc. I also want a sub but need to parse my purchases, plus I live in a small apartment and need to be conscious of bass.I have two ones. will I have surround sound with this setup? How would this work with an Apple TV and a projector? Currently the Apple TV feeds to my projector via hdmi. keeping it short, I can give more details if needed. Thanks!
I have a 2013 Samsung 55” FH6003 LED TV that does not support CEC nor have an optical port. I want to integrate the Sonos Beam with the TV and build a surround sound. I have a Roku Ultra as the service provider. I have added a KanexPro HDMI Audio Extractor between the Rodu Ultra and the TV. Video out of KanexPro to TV is great via HDMI. But I do not seem to be getting the audio from the KanexPro to the Sonos Beam via optical cable. When I try to connect the beam to the TV (which is actually direct to the Roku Ultra through the Kanex Pro) the app does not read the signal. Any help, ideas or comments would be greatly appreciated.
HardwareNew Sony Bravia XBR 75 X900H (1 Week Old) with latest system updatesNew Sonos Arc (1 Week Old) with latest system updatesSonos Arc plugged into HDMI ARC (Port 3) on Sony TV. DetailsEverything was working great the first day of playing sound through the Sono Arc.The second day, whenever I listened to YouTube Videos, Sling, or Spotify the sound would be perfect but as soon as I switch to a movie being played in Dolby Atmos the sound will continuously stutter over and over forever as if the video is skipping but the video its self plays smooth with no stutters (it’s only the sound).Sony TV Audio Output Settings:Audio System Prioritization - ON A/V Sync - ON Digital Audio Out - Auto 1 Dolby Digital Plus Output - Dolby Digital Plus Pass Through Mode - AutoTwo things will temporarily solve the problem for me and cause Dolby Atmos audio to play perfectly afterwards. If I power off the Sonos Arc for a minute and turn it back on the issue completely goes away (Dolby Atmos back to soundin
Hello... I hope someone can help. I have a playbar and woofer connected to my tv and it works fine. I have several play 1 speakers in my room also. I had the playbar and all 4 speakers all controlled on the app, then one day the playbar disappeared from the app and now I can't connect the TV sound to my other speakers... or my playbar to music playing on the other speakers. This happened before, sonos did an update and they all came back... after a few days, the playbar disappeared again. Help! Thanks.
I’m mostly new to Sonos (I have the Move) and I’m looking to replace my existing living room setup with something that’s compatible for a multiroom setup in the future. Right now I have my xbox, chromecast, etc hooked up to my receiver and the TV’s ARC HDMI going into the receiver as well so I can play the smart apps through it. From the digging I’ve done I see I need either a Five, Play:5, Amp, or Port for the turntable. I’ve ruled out the Five/Play:5 for a variety of reasons and I think the right move for my room is Amp/Port, Arc/Beam, and either two Symfonisk bookshelf speakers or One SLs. Can someone help me understand how the Port would work in conjunction with the Arc/Beam here? I’d connect the Port output to the turntable and then the input to the receiver via RCA again. I see the setup instructions for the soundbars are to plug it into the TV’s ARC HDMI port and this is where I get kinda lost. Would that still be necessary with the Sonos Port? If so then I assume that means I n
