I was outside over the weekend listening to music on the Move. It was a warm day - in the high 80’s. But anyways, the move was playing four about 2 hours, but then the sound started to break up. So I brought the Move back closer to where I was sitting - and I noticed that the battery LED is blinking red, and then sound would not play at all. The support page mentioned that a flashing red battery light is indicative of a "fault condition" so I just want to be sure this isn't a sign of more issues down the road. I'd like to make sure the battery is still good to go. As I've used the Move from day to day since January it's been interesting to see how fast the battery loses a full charge, on occasion. I’ve figured the drainage may be due to the Smart nature of the speaker, always being "on". So, I've taken the initiative to shut it fully (long press and power down robot noise) off at night most nights, or when I want to be sure it’s not actively using battery. As most Move owners have
Im trying to research which tv to buy. Any TV recommendations for a smooth bluetooth connection to a Move? Im partial to Samsung Smart TV currently but i want to make sure my Move connects to my new TV. Thanks so much.
Hi I’m looking to run a digital out from the Port to a pair of KEF LS50 wireless. The digital out on the Port is coax and the in on the KEF is Toslink. Will this fit the Port? https://www.crutchfield.com/S-Dk539jeGo4X/p_703TOSADPT/AudioQuest-Toslink-Mini-Optical-Adapter.html Thank you.
I want to power an oudoor subwoofer as well as four outdoor "rock speakers." I have an older Sonos Connect and Sonos Connect Amp. I also have an amplifier. The equipment I have is listed below. Can you help me figure out how to set this up? Should I get a new AMP? can that power all four rock speakers and the sub as well? Thoughts about how to set this up and whether I should acquire any new equipment. The equipment I have is: this passive subwoofer https://www.osdaudio.com/products/speakers/outdoor/outdoor-subwoofers/in-ground-8-500w-outdoor-underground-burial-rated-subwoofer-gls8-green.htmland these outdoor speakers https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002KEKPC2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1this amplifier. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XDRZD3D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1thoughts about how i can best drive this?
Hello, I’m new to Sonos, I own none of the products yet. I would like to get a set up in our open concept living space. I’ve attached a drawing. It’s approximately 800 sq ft with 8 foot ceilings. I don’t know if it makes sense to try and set up any stereo pairs of speakers with the way the layout is. It’s basically a living room with a dining area and kitchen at the end of it. We would sit on the couch listening to music sometimes, but tend to be busy doing things throughout the space. I’m not interested in anything for the television, it would be just for listening to music. I’m open to options of any number of combinations, all fives, all ones, mix of fives and ones, a sub thrown into any combination of those. Whatever you think might be the best option. I’ve put green stars at 7 potential spots for sonos devices to sit. I’m interested in hearing from others that have experimented with music set ups in an open living space. Let me know what other information I may need to provide. Th
I spent an hour on the phone with sonos tech support. Wow are they bad.. the person clearly didn’t know the product. And was putting me on hold to speak with someone else. 55 minutes later and the Rep. still had no clue what I was asking. Help! what I am trying to do is setup a First Generation Sonos Connect 2004-2014 model. Last time this happened I had to call and support asked me for serial number and MAC address. They sent it an update remotely to get it working. Last time during setup tho it gave me an error code. this time the S1 app adds the Connect. And under rooms it says Product (unused) needs update. If you click update→ it says your system is up to date. It also is stuck in a loop asking me to sign in to my account. please help! This only took 15 minutes last time this happened to get the update manually sent to the device to get it working. The person I spoke with was clueless.
System: a number of Sonos devices including some older devices plus One and One SL - both of which should be capable of receiving AirPlay2 streams.I also have wide range of Apple devices capable of sending streams - 2x iPhones, iPad, iMac, MacBook etc.NONE of the devices will communicate so that I can stream audio to the One/OneSL for more than a couple of seconds - and that only if I’m lucky. Randomly the One will occasionally ‘blurt’ out some music for a few seconds after a short period of time - but not so you could actually listen via the Sonos units. All the while, I can control the stream via Sonos’ iOS app or desktop software - so the Sonos software can control pause/play etc. I just can’t listen to the stream. In fact in the app I can see the music ‘representation’ bouncing away as it it’s actually doing something! Right now I’m listening to a stream absolutely fine via AirPlay2 off one of the iPhones and a Marantz hi-fi amp and my floorstanders. Stream works 100% of the tim
Hi all I just got a Gen 3 sub. I was really excited about it (as you would be if you spent £700 on a product that is almost unanimously considered to be life-changing). However, I found the sound underwhelming, and after a couple of days testing and tweaking I think I’ve identified the issue: the Sub takes too much away from the Beam, leaving the mix sounding tinny and lacking in punch. Given that I hadn’t discovered this as an issue before I bought the Sub, I’m open to suggestions that I’m doing it wrong. This is where I need your help, Sonos Community! My set up: TV on a desk (IKEA Bekant). Beam in front of TV. Sub upright on floor, Sonos logo facing forwards, under the desk and centrally under the beam. The desk itself is in the corner of a square-shaped room, but the Sub has about 15 inches of clearance from the side wall. 2x One SL wall-mounted either side of the bed. TruePlay is on, otherwise everything sounds unbearably muddy and boomy. What I mean by lacking in pu
Hi All, I purchased my Sonos Arc along with a used gen 2 sub around 4 weeks ago, Really impressed by the gen 2 sub, really kicked it some deep bass. A like a lot of heavy bass music and even at +2 the sub 2 did a good job. Now 4 days ago I sold my gen 2 and purchased a gen 3 sub. Im finding the gen 3 is a bit lacking in the bass department compared to the gen 2, I have to put it on +6+7 really to get the same, even tho its a different kind of bass, less room shaking. Bit disappointed in it as I had heard they sound exactly the same but I upgraded just for longevity of the product etc etc. Has anyone else found this? keen to see other people opionions. thank you
I just got a Sonos Move and love it, however, I’m having difficulty connecting it to my TV. I have a Samsung UN65MU8000 which allows Bluetooth speaker connections. When I try to pair it, it just gives me an error. I’ve had no issues pairing the Move to my phone. But it just doesn’t want to pair to my TV. Any thoughts? I’ve verified both softwares are up to date. Thanks.
We really enjoy our current Sonos home theater set up (Playbar, Sub, two 1’s) connected to a 75” Samsung Q9 TV (which has ARC but not eARC capability). I have pre-ordered the new Sonos ARC sound bar to replace the Playbar of course. That said, I am getting different answers and information from the Sonos community site and also when chatting and then escalating to speak with the Sonos techs. Still no clarity and consistent information. So can anyone give me a definitive answer as to what I can expect by way of full or limited or no Dolby Atmos sound if I go through with it and install the new ARC with my: Samsung Q9 (late 2018) TV with ARC but not eARC Apple 4K TV? Are there any work arounds if the answer is limited / no to get full Dolby Atmos with my set up? Thank you in advance.
HiI just noticed a solid green light on my sub gen 3, it maybe where I knocked a button on it or something when I cleaned it, I turned it off at the mains and back on and no lights are on and it’s working as normal. Just curious what a solid green light signifies? Thank you
Hi. For anyone with an Arc could I ask if someone would not mind measuring what the distance is between the feet on the base of arc if it was to be placed on a unit? Tia Our tv overhangs the unit and just wondered if the arc feet would be too far apart
I can only get Atmos out of Prime Video and Disney+ using the native LG WebOS apps. Netflix only gives me DD+ using the LG WebOS app. How is this possible?? I can’t get any Atmos from the ATV 4k but the image is so much better than the WebOS apps that don’t give me Dolby Vision. Is there something I can do to get Atmos from the WebOS app? Also is there any way to get Dolby Vision through the WebOS app? I think I understand that ATV4k can’t send Atmos over ARC until there is some sort of patch. It’s all pretty confusing for me hopefully someone can help!
I’ve noticed when watching a few films on Disney Plus and Netflix (Star Wars, Hamilton, Da 5 Bloods) that the sounds seems far more localised (for lack of better word) to the left side of the ARC. With the occasion sounds from right noticeable. Listening to it close up it does seem to me that it is louder on the left than the right. Has anyone else noticed this?
I’ve just added a Beam to my system, and I want to be able to use Speech Enhancement. I’ve got a Samsung TV, connected to the Beam via HDMI ARC, and everything seems to be working correctly. But . . . I know that Speech Enhancement is supposed to be available in the Now Playing tab. But when I go into the app, what shows up in Now Playing is whatever music I played most recently on the system, and not what’s playing currently on the TV and the Beam. So I can’t get to the Speech Enhancement button. Any idea how to fix this?
Hi does anyone know what kind of coupon is include in the Costco sonos beam shadow edition? in the description it says "Coupon for Sonos.com included".
Just got the Arc and sub woofer for my TV. I love it but the neightbour does not. I live in a townhouse The neighbour claims the sound reverberates in their bedroom (one floor up and one over). I only have the volume level at 11-13. Is it the base sounds? Maybe the subwoofer? Is there a way to reduce the impact to my neighbours?
I have my Sonos Beam connected via ARC to my Vizio smart TV. I noticed recently the Beam audio will cut out few a few seconds before resuming. This only occurs for TV audio (streaming or cable). Playing music from the Sonos app or through Google Assistant is great and without interruption. I’ve swapped the ARC HDMI cable but have the same results. I changed some audio output settings on the TV (currently Dolby 5.1) and still the same issue. Sometimes the audio cut out happens more frequently, but usually it’s 1-2 times per hour. I tried rebooting the Sonos by unplugging it. Rebooting the router (its attached via Ethernet cable with WiFi turned off), and rebooting the TV. All the devices software is up to date. Nothing has stopped the audio from occasionally cutting out. Any suggestions as to what might be happening! -Peter
Hi I may be missing something simple but I have just received delivery of my new ARC. All set up fine very impressed with it. However I have Sky Q, I have changed the sound settings to Dolby Digital Plus, If I watch programs/films in SD HD and NON atmos UHD I have no issues. If I play a movie that is recorded in Dolby Atmos I have no sound. This is despite the SKY info box saying that ATMOS is supported through Dolby Digital Plus and being told by Samsung that my TV supports pass through for Dolby Digital Plus. Any ideas/solutions would be appreciated
Hello,I’m thinking about to buy a sonos arc for my living room, but my ceiling isn't straight. So im wondering if dolby atmos will work properly. My ceiling is something like this: Do you thing that dolby atmos will work?
Hi thereOther posts have sort of looked at this but grateful for comment. For the last five years I have had two Play:1s set up in stereo. Because of the way I listen to music now it would be helpful to also have Airplay with these so am looking to upgrade to two Sonos One in stereo.I do not particularly wish to have a Beam/Arc as well (the room does not warrant this and I do not want surround) but I am interested in whether I would be able to use the Sonos Ones in for the audio from my AppleTV?Does anyone have a similar set up? Can volume be controlled from the AppleTV remote (previous posts have perhaps suggested that this cannot be done because the AppleTV remote in effect links in with any home theatre speaker rather than the AppleTV being able to push the command to the Airplay speaker)? Would the sound be in stereo (and not just mono from each)? Would this allow for Airplay from mac/iPhone to AppleTV and then Airplay of the audio to Sonos pair?I suspect I will be shot down and tol
I have an Amazon Fire TV stick connected to a projector (no TV), and a Sonos amp. Is it possible to connect the Fire TV stick audio to the amp, play on the speaker?
I see Amazon Music added podcasts.https://www.theverge.com/2020/9/16/21439531/amazon-music-podcasts-prime-titlesAny idea when these will be playable on my Sonos speakers?
I can’t find any made for the gen 1 play 5. Does anyone know of a generic stand that works well for the play 5 gen 1?
