Hi all - recently set up my Sonos Arc Ultra and have set up Amazon Alexa as my voice control. However, I can't seem to get voice controls for my TV to work. For example, when I say "Alexa, turn off my TV" it says that there is no device or group named TV. Any ideas on how to resolve this? Thank you
Play 3 device. Both myself and husband linked. Both have Amazon music, mine is unlimited. Husband system owner.whilst Amazon music shows on content and can select, it won’t play choice (plays other random choices instead). I don’t know if it’s my unlimited account or not. Sonos radio works but other than that cannot chose any music. can I log in using system owner (husband) to add content? Is there an additional unlimited function. If so will I be able to use it if log in as system owner who isn’t me? Not sure if linked to email or just can use from device if logged in.
What I want to do is (or should be) very simple. I want to be able to browse my local library, choose a folder, and play the music in that folder and it's sub folders or add the music in that folder and it's sub folders to the queue. It’s very simple. It's something that some very basic audio playing apps can do. Yet 7 months after the disastrous app update it's still something I cannot do with the Sonos app. PLEASE FIX IT 😡
I just bought the Ultimate Immersive Set with the Arc Ultra, pair of Era 300s and the Sub 4. When I toggle the sub on/off through the app, the bass actually sounds better and fuller with it off. I’ve confirmed the sub is actually turning on/off when I toggle from the app. I've seen some review videos where they talk about not really needing the sub with the Arc Ultra and others saying two subs make a nice improvement, but does Sonos really expect me to pay another $800 for a 2nd sub? It doesn't make any sense to me. Anyone else have a similar experience?
Hi everyone,I’ve recently set up a Sonos system in my living room, which is quite large, and I’m trying to get the best sound quality possible. I have a Sonos One as the primary speaker, but I’m wondering if adding additional speakers or making some adjustments could improve the overall experience. Here’s my setup so far:Sonos One (main speaker) No subwoofer yet I use the system mostly for music, streaming services like Spotify, and occasional movies.I’ve tried adjusting the sound settings in the app, but I feel like I’m still not getting the full potential, especially when I crank up the volume. The sound can sometimes feel a little muddled, and the bass doesn’t seem to be as impactful as I’d expect, especially for a system that's supposed to fill a larger space.I’m wondering if I should invest in a Sonos Sub to help with the bass, or if there are specific settings within the Sonos app or any other tweaks I might be overlooking. Also, would adding another Sonos One as a surround speake
I can’t see line in under sources, using a Sonos line in adapter plugged into Samsung earphone socket on phone?
I have 5 amps, two Sonos beams, multiple arcs and probably $10k invested across two homes. The system literally never works. I’ve had the systems professionally installed and I’m pretty tech savvy. I’m literally right now looking at the app again showing that it’s playing on five systems and I have sound out of one. This is a new problem, it all worked fine yesterday. It’s not a Wi-Fi problem, all the speakers are showing live on the system. But the bigger issue is it’s like this ALL the time. The system is unstable, not well supported and super fragile. If you’re thinking of buying Sonos, don’t. It’s not even the money, it’s the constant frustration.
Hi, I have a question: when I play a (shuffled) playlist in the new (dreaded!) app and open the queue to see where I am and what the next couple of songs will be, I never see the actual playing song but always have to start from the top of the list and then have to scroll down to find the playing number. So very annoying! Is this a known error of the new app (in the ‘old’ app I always directly saw the playing song in the que)?I hope I made sense with my English… :-)
Hi Sonos team, I am using a Sonos Beam (gen2) and am not happy with the result of Trueplay. I would much prefer to do the tuning myself, based on acoustic measurements with a measuring microphone and REW software. This would require the PEQs becoming available to be manually adjusted by the user through the Sonos app. Is this functionality planned, e.g. by enabling an “expert setup mode”? When can we expect this functionality being deployed?
Hi.the issue im having here right now is that I can’t change the wake word on arc as someone in the house has a similar name. The only way to change (as I have researched) is to get a dot, place near the arc, disable the arc voice control.then group the arc and dot in Alexa app in the same room (living room in this instance). And set preferred speaker as the arc.now, here’s where it gets messy. I have change the wake word to echo on the dot. When I call out echo on the dot, it responded on the dot. I thought it was suppose to respond through the arc? When I call echo on the dot to play music, it somehow says…playing Spotify on Sonos and the arc plays music.i tried bringing this dot to another room, group it with a full fledge echo speaker, set preferred speaker to full fledge echo. When I speak to the dot, it responded through the echo speaker. When I speak to the dot to play music, it DID not play on the echo but on the dot. Wtf..? I don’t really care about the echo and dot scenario.
For the last few days when i ask Alexa to play BBC sounds or Apple Music on my sonos devices it says “I’m having trouble” Things I have already tried:factory reset of sonos devices disconnect and reconnect alexa integration in sonos app disconnect and reconnect apple music and bbc sounds service in sonos app enable disable apple music / bbc sounds / sonos skills in alexaNothing works The services work fine when played from alex advecis any ideas? thanks a lot!
I see there have been several users with the same problems as me on this. The option to use Atmos is Greyed out on the Sound options of my LG C1 TV,Does the C1 not support Atmos ?? My output is set to HDMI ARC and the DTV settings sets to Auto.
Would it be possible to add a feature in a future update of the Sonos app that allows users to easily switch between surround mode and full use of the surround speakers without having to reconfigure them? For example, a toggle switch to enable or disable surround mode?
On my echo speaker, I have alexa enabled with two accounts, each with it’s own spotify. I can use voice commands to play from the appropraite person’s spotify - for example, “play artist on xxx’s spotify”. I can also ask it to switch accounts. I have my alexa voice controller activate on my Sonos One. However it won’t switch accounts, nor will it play from any spotify other than the one assocaited with the alexa account which was used for the voice controller. Is there a way to replicae the funcionality of my echo speaker on my Sonos One?
Since this still has not been enabled I assume sonos will not be doing this ? Not a great look from Sonos, it works on other Google enabled speakers. What's causing the issue ? Will Sonos update this or do I have to change to Spotify which is a shame as apple music is far better and has Atmos
It’s been months and I still don’t see where I can create a playlist or add to one that I had made with the old app. Am I missing it - because it used to be very easy to create a playlist from the music library for party’s?
I have our built in Sonos speakers and Sonos arc as a pair on our LG tv and paired in the Sonos app. However, when I adjust the volume with the remote, it only adjusts one of the components (not only one or the other, it fluctuates which one it controls based on which one I maybe last touched in the pair). Mind you they are paired together. How can I fix this?
Ive just bought a new LG c4 tv and connected my sonos beam. what is the best cable to use, optical or HDMI? Im currently using optical, but the LG controller wont adjustbthe volume and i feel like the sound quality should be better.
I can't get Sonos to play radio stations from Sonos Radio using voice control. The stations are in my Sonos Favourites. “Sorry, I can’t find that on Sonos Radio. Please try again with another music service.”I’ve tried playing the stations via the app, asking “What’s playing” and pronouncing my SVC commands similarly, but no joy. example: RTÉ Lyric FMAny ideas? Is there a way to rename a favourite station in the iOS or desktop app that might get this to work? I’m not using Alexa and don’t plan to.
I have a simple system with my music on an external drive, S1 on my PC, Sonos Bridge 100, and Sonos Player connected to my integrated amp. If I were starting out right now with the same external drive, PC, and integrated amp, but without the Bridge and without the Player, what current Sonos products would I need?
I have a new projector that uses the Google TV Stick and it’s Google Home services. Is it possible to connect my Sonos devices to the projector? I know I can connect one through Bluetooth, but I would like to connect the Google Home/TV Stick to the Sonos App so I can use my Sonos system. Does anyone know how to do this?
Noticing that an Echo device was unable to play a station on Sonos Play:1 Ive found multiple issues -The Android Sonos app isnt showing favourites (tried usual remedies like clearing app data) - but the Windows Sonos app still shows them OKTried unlinking the Alexa Sonos skill but I cant now reconnect the skill - at first the linking page gave a message about needing to register the Sonos to an account (which it already was) and now just says it can’t connect to SonosAbsolute Radio stations aren’t playing - tried adding the Rayo service instead on mobile but wouldn’t link - although could link using the Windows Sonos app - but actual stations still wont playI’ve already wasted over an hour trying to resolve all this - as with any time there are problems there are no useful diagnostics or announcements.
I’m trying to update my SONOS 1 with a new wifi, but both the ‘check for updates’ and ‘preferences’ settings are grayed out, so how do I redirect the app to the new wifi settings?I’ve also hard wired it with an Ethernet cable, but I’m still getting the error message that it can’t find the server - when it doesn’t require a server as it isn’t using wifi.. smh** RESOLVED (iPhone update glitch) Thanks
When asked to turn on the 'reading light' (a smart bulb) Alexa from the Sonos Beam responds with "what setting?" If given a setting the Sonos Beam then changes it's volume to that setting. If this command is given to any other Alexa device the light works normally. This also used to work fine.I've tried a factory reset and reconnected Alexa several times to no avail.
I installed a system in an airport hangar with 2 sonos ports. I have had 2 power losses and after the ports boot back up anyone without a sonos account has not been able to access the system via wifi until someone with an account connects to it. Is this standard?
