I am looking for a Brennan type machine that can rip CD’s to its own HD that I can then use in my SONOS system?
I’m stuck in a loop here. I have a group of 3 rooms. I want to adjust the volume in one of the rooms on the app, but I can’t. That group has “3 issues” meaning, 3 speakers that “need” to be updated. So when I click on the group it just takes me to the update screen. I try to run the update, it fails (code 30), now I’m stuck and can’t change the volume of the speaker. My only solution is to go into the room and manually adjust the speaker using buttons. It requires a ladder to reach this speaker. Am I to fetch the ladder each time I want to adjust the volume a few clicks? Seriously, this is very stupid for the price I paid for the product. I have 13+ products, not all in reachable places, and they are always complaining about being out of date. People say they’re not “forced” updates, but they are in the context that 80% of their features don’t work until you update them. The speaker is still usable if it’s hardwired to your TV and you use the buttons, but that entirely negate
Would like to ask if any suggestion on where to get a 90 Degree Up Angle Fiber Optic 2.1 HDMI Cable for new generation Beam as the maximum space allowed for the plug is only around 2 cm if flush mounted onto the wall.
Is there a way to connect a Sonos Roam to 2 different WiFi systems? I have one WiFi at home and one at my cabin. I would like to be able to just take my roams up to the cabin and have them work there.
Was looking to incorporate in wall subwoofers throughout my home. I will have several rooms with ARC playbar and sonos amp powering the in ceiling speakers. It’s my understanding that if amp is not front speakers then you can not use third party sub? You have to use sonos sub?
I see that this has been requested many times before but I hope this feature is added soon. My son keeps enabling night mode at night while playing video games and the next day it stays activated without any of us noticing it still on. It is hard to believe that this would be difficult to implement. At least notify the user that the mode is on flashing the light after a set amount of time.
hi,just want to share my finding in case anyone meet the same issue. My setup:i have a PC and sonos on the same network, firewall disabled from both PC and router.I also added sonos app to allowed app and what not on my pc.I’m able to access my shared music folder from my phone on the same network. background:I’m a senior java developer :)i tried to add 2 network folder as music folders, got a bit inpatient and try to add both folder at the same time without giving time for the sonos desktop app to index finish the first. discovery:i found that i hit an error and wasnt able to add both folder at all.i tried reinstall app but still wont work. solution:i found that if i try to add another folder, i was able to.Hence, i begin to suspect that the folder path was saved somewhere and wasnt deleted and resulted in duplicate of path. I went ahead to change my music folder name from music to music1 and suddenly it works. i did the same to my other music folder and it works perfectly.in case you

Announcement: https://www.apple.com/ca/newsroom/2021/05/apple-music-announces-spatial-audio-and-lossless-audio/ Now that Apple Music has joined the “lossless club”, can we please hear from Sonos as to whether this will be supported, and, if it will be, approximately when that may occur? Thanks.
Hey everyone,Every patch / update I always consider posting some thoughts on what I'd love to see in follow-on updates, so posting this time around. This first set is really what I would consider 'quality-of-life' improvements based on my usage (in no priority order): Separate volume controls for the different audio 'channels' (e.g. the assistant voice, the alarm, the audio streaming, etc.). Why: I frequently find the Alexa voice is not as loud as I'd like, so want to increase her volume while not increasing the music volume Allowing mixing of sound (and volume) between the streaming audio and external input on the Beam / Arc / Fives Why: I have a Beam and Arc hooked up to Xboxes and sometimes my family and I would like music to continue to play while playing a game on the Xbox (easily mix in-game sounds and your streaming music) Setting Assistant microphone sensitivity Why: I have a Roam in the bathroom and Ones in the bedroom and when I call 'Alexa' while in the bedroom
Having just spent another hour and a half trying to find a solution as to why my Sonos speaker randomly stopped working, then downloading app updates, rebooting, unplugging, replugging, resetting forgotten passwords and still not being able to play music like I was at the start of the day….I am wondeing if anyone can recommend a good wireless speaker to use instead of the ridiculously expensive good for nothing Sonos speaker I have?
I am playing music through Spotify to a few devices: Speakers attached to an airport express, Denon Receiver, Computer, and Sonos Move. After 20 minutes or so you can here a click on Sonos Move and then the music gets out of sync, like an echo. If I turn the spotify connection off for Sonos Move and back on it will run for another 20 minutes or so. My connection to Sonos: Spotify on a Mini Mac, Orbi Router to Orbi Satellite to SonosI noticed that I’m getting RX Packets dropped (see below):br0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 48:A6:B8:EE:92:66 inet addr:192.168.1.22 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 inet6 addr: fe80::4aa6:b8ff:feee:9266%702539728/64 Scope:Link UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:9703223 errors:0 dropped:67071 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:571522 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:4471608129 (4.1 GiB) TX bytes:208990338 (199.3
So now my 3 speakers are only good for the bin after the latest iOS update, I rang the helpline who worked my through various things, all listed in previous ( now closed for further comments) page and after failed attempts was to he would ask for more advice and send me an email . all the email said was I can upgrade with a 30% reduction in price. They must think Im a moron if I'm going to invest in a system that does work anymore.
Patrick Spence mentioned early in the year either in an earnings call or interview that they were going to release two new products this year. So I guess I am just looking for clarification as to what those new products officially are and if we can expect anything else. By my count we had this year:Roam Ikea Picture Frame Speakers?? Beam-Gen 2?? Ikea Lamp Speakers-Gen 2 (not officially released yet I believe)??Do we know what is the second product? Or is their something else, that “one more thing...” I personally am of the camp that wants a set high end over the ear headphones.
I actually did not know that neither Roam or Move connects to the Sonosnet (but to the router’s WIFI directly), when I bought my Roam. Which is a bit sad, because I do have wired speakers scattered around the house, but only one router. Do you guys think they will ever enable this through a software update? Update: I totally see I forgot to mention sonosnet in the title, and it seems like I cannot edit that, or delete this post to redo it..
Can someone please let the customer base know when Sonos plans to get their supply chain issues resolved. Common sense should have hit someone in the front office knowing the simple fact that when everyone is stuck in their houses, miserable, they are probably going to look to products that are going to improve their mental state. Number 1 on that list is music and TV! Perhaps it is time to begin manufacturing products on this side of the globe? You moved your manufacturing from China to Malaysia however China is still controlling that supply market. Actually China is controlling our entire country as well. I own a custom AV installation company and we currently have 15 jobs waiting on your products to get completed. Without them we can’t get paid- How about ramping up production before you lose your loyal following!
I just bought the Arc and two SL1 surrounds. I’m happy with the TV audio but music lacks both the high and low definition that you hear with a wired system and amp. If I replace the two surrounds with a single Five speaker might that help? Also, can I adjust volume on the Five independent of Arc while listening to music? My living room is 18x 20 with 20’ ceilings.
https://www.engadget.com/roku-os-10-5-update-voice-speakers-130013021.html their sound bar as center channel with wireless speakers on front left and right and rear not sure how well it is going to work though...
I recently purchased a Beam Gen 1 while being unaware that Gen 2 was right around the corner (still in the return window.) I like the sound of the Gen 1 for both cinema and music listening. Given my setup, I actually don’t care as much about the performance for cinema as I use the system primarily for music. So, I’m thinking that features such as DTS and eARC are not as relevant for me. I also use my Beam on it’s own when watching movies and don’t activate any of my other speakers. That said, I want to make sure I’m getting the best product that I can. Is it worth returning my Beam Gen 1 and getting the Gen 2 if I primarily care about music performance? Will the Gen 2 be better or worse for music performance? The same? I’m having trouble distinguishing the difference, if there are a different amount of speakers, different size speakers, etc.
I finally got my hands on a Sonos Amp as I cannot get a Sonos Port for the life of me. I have a customer who I am installing a large outdoor 70V system for and I want to use the Sonos Amp as a line out source and not an amp. I know this isn't "recommended", but Sonos really can't blame integrators for looking at alternate solutions given their serious shortage of products (and they also just canceled my large order through Anixter as with all their orders so I have no choice). The customer wants to use the Sonos app so I need to make this work. Please assist with solutions. Thank you!
Hi all,I was looking for some time for a new setup in my living room: have a simple system for music (streaming), TV watching, very occasionally movie (typically I watch movies with headphones not to disturb family and neighbours) and later add turntable. My primary choice was KEF LS50 Wireless II, but due to costs and usage simplicity I’ve chosen Sonos Arc to try (I have no other Sonos products, neither planning to get any, at the moment)And while Arc seems to be good for TV, and obviously movies sound much better, I am bit disappointed in its music performance. I am not audiophile by no means (just know good sound a bit), but to me music sounds very “uninspiring”, especially on low volumes. So the choices I am looking at the moment:Add Sub to Arc - I’ve read that music performance improves, specifically on low volumes, but I presume it will not do miracles (i.e. proper stereo). Also, in order to connect turntable, I would need to buy Port, which would increase the price closer to KEF
Hi everyone, First time Sonos purchaser here! I recently purchased my very first condo and am hoping to have a Sonos setup in order to bring the music I love to life. I’d really appreciate this community’s help coming up with the ideal Sonos setup + which speakers I should buy. Details on my music preferences, condo size, and pictures are below: MusicSpend most of my day listening to music so it’s a big part of my life and would want crystal clear and undistorted sound even at high volumes Would love to have bass included Genres: dance/electronic/deep house, hip-hop, r&b, neo soulCondoSize: 627 Sq.ft, 1-bed Pictures and floor plans attachedBudgetBudget is roughly $2,500 CAD Ideally I’d like sound throughout the Condo (living area, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, balcony) but if this blows my budget, then I’m happy just focusing on the Living/Dinning/Kitchen areaThanks for your help in advance! Any idea why when I open my favourites play list in sonos its does not match the order I saved them in deezer.. bit of a pain as I have to manually scan my sonos play list to see where my last most up to date favourite song has saved.. it would be great if both lists where synced which each list matching in most recently added decending order..
Just had an aha moment today listening. I have a set of Play 1s (Blue Note Editions but same as other versions just a unique color) in my 12’ x 15’ Office. While normally I have these as background music as I am taking phone calls, working, etc. I had an opportunity to let the dogs out today as I was doing a bunch of cleaning in the office, no work. WOW, I just realized how incredible they sound when paired up with Sonos Radio HD (listening to Guitar Gods) station and turned up (maybe 25%). While one of them would be good enough in a room this size I just need the stereo channeling for my tastes and I was just blown away. The interplay, detail and the fine tuning that they have done with these in conjunction with it is just awesome. If you are ever in doubt between 1 or 2-get 2 you will never be sorry.
Bonjour est ce sonos compte revoir le Sub ? En sortir un plus gros avec au moins des hauts parleurs de 10 pouces, peut importe l encombrement plus le haut parleur est gros mieux c est. Bonne soirée à tous le monde
