Talk about Sonos Voice Control

Hi All,My sonos beam (in 5.1 configuration) suddenly stopped responding to voice commands- neither Alexa nor hey sonos work. I tried rebooting, forgetting sonos skill and re-enabling in Alexa app, also de registering and re registering- no avail. Voice commands are working well in all other devices- Move etc. I wonder if something is wrong with Beam hardware and it’s not able to listen to my commands anymore? it’s really annoying- and any help and guidance would be much appreciated. Many thanks
It appears the “hey Sonos” command only pulls music or station from the sonos radio service, even if you have another service set to default. hey Sonos always defaults to their Sonos service. Ive tried every verbal command possible. I'm trying to play specific station from audacy and iheartradio. I give the command “hey Sonos, please today’s 101.9” or “….. from audacy”…..neither one does a thing. it doesn't respond and just turns off. if I say “hey Sonos play 101.9” it will play another 101.9 station that is in the Sonos service. how you do you make “hey Sonos” work with the other services? I hate having to do it from within the app. I just want to talk to it. I dont use Alexa or google. I use Siri and HomeKit. Siri completely understand and will play through my phone to my Sonos speakers...I dont want that as it uses my phone to play. I want to use hey Sonos and have it stream directly to through the sonos speaker, not through my phone to the speakers. if sonos doesn't fix
The Sonus won`t play the channels I want through voice control, it selects Welsh of it`s own volition, I have to play the channel I want through Android.
Hello, am I able to control my Sonos Five with a voice command if it is paired with Sonos voice-enabled speakers such as a set of Eros 100s?
I know LTE routers are not supported and I have read all the related articles but, so far, I have managed to create a system with a 2nd gen One (second one due to arrive in the next couple of days) and a Sub Mini, update each product and connect to Spotify and BBC Sounds without any real trouble. I managed to get Alexa working once I found out that you have to delete the Amazon Shopping app to make the connection work. I also tried adding Google Assistant before realising that you can't have both that and Alexa on the same speaker. The only thing I can't get to work is Sonos Voice Control. I have tried using 5GHz WiFi, 2.4GHz WiFi and even a hotspot but no dice. The "update" (don't ask me why SVC should be an update and not part of the basic firmware) crawls round to the full circle, hangs there fire a minute or two and then fails. I have tried wiping the app but to no avail. N. B. I am using Three's 5G broadband on a ZTE Mc801A and have a good stable 5G signal. Can anybody (@Corry P)
I can use voice control to listen to music on Spotify. When I ask for Radio 4 i am told there is an issue with my music provider. I have reauthorised etc. I can connect to Radio 4 via the app but not with voice control.
I’ve tried resetting and rebooting, but no luck. Is anyone else having this problem? It was working fine until a few weeks ago.
Why doesn't “Hey Sonos” voice control recognize the Sonos radio station “SILK JAZZ”**********Request: “Hey Sonos, play SILK JAZZ “Response: “I can't find that content should I play something by silk instead?”*********I'VE TRIED SAYING IT EVERY WAY I CAN THINK OF. It still doesn't recognize it I have successfully been using Hey Sonos to play other Sonos radio stations but it just can't seem to recognize this one.
Hi. I’m using the Apple Music Service on a Sonos Era 100 stereo pair. When I ask Sonos Voice to play “Golden Ticket” by “Highasakite” it fails to do anything. When I use the Sonos app to play the song, and then ask Sonos Voice to name the song, it says “Golden Ticket” by “Higasakite” (Hig, not High). So, I then try asking Sonos Voice for Golden Ticket by Higasakite - and it tells me it can’t find it!Note : Alexa Voice control manages to find the song.
Hi I have a sonos One and a sonos Beam. I am trying to install voice control from the Sonos Android App but when I click on Add voice assistant nothing happens - I have the last version of the App. Can you please let me know what I should do? Thanks
Since the new app my microphone on my sonos one paired as surrounds with Playbar stopped working (Light doesn’t go on either)Is this a bug of new app or has Sonos stopped supporting this feature with the Playbar?
When I say play, I just want it to play. Same as stop. Tv on/off. I don't want to hear 2 sentence in an accent that hurts my ears. Are there absolutely no configuration options for voice control and voices? Like talkback volume? Will there be?
Please add YouTube Music to Sonos Voice Control.
Since the new app update - all of my products that are connected to my boost (about 75% of my system) show as “Network Unavailable” and therefore cannot have Voice Control set up. They are definitely connected devices and in the System Info page they all show “WM:SONOSNET” (BTW - this appears to be new to me but assuming it just means they are connected to the Boost). Does anyone know how to get your speakers on Voice control when connected to the boost?
I would like more control over the voice feedback. I love Giancarlo as much as the next guy, but he often sounds way louder than my music. Also, I’d like the option to have Sonos just follow my commands and skip telling me what it’s doing. I feel like people have been asking for these things for as long as Sonos has taken voice commands.
I am unable to contact support. I have spent hours trying to get Voice Assistant to work. It tells me I must first put my country in my profile, which I have done, but it still won’t let me. The microphone is not working.
Does sonos voice pout? I feel like it is a petulant brat. As long as it is able to comply with my command, it remains eager to serve. As soon as it cannot, it just ignores me. These are not complex demands. They are things like “Hey sonos, play Jazz.” I know it is still listening because I can see the little green light winking on the speaker (Beam). After it pouts for awhile, sometimes overnight, it will cheerfully begin responding to my requests again. Restarting the app and even deleting and reloading voice does not solve the problem.
Pre-update of the iOS app (80.00.04) my Arc correctly showed up under Sonos Voice Control speakers. After the 80.00.08 update, Arc is missing as a SVC enabled speaker (App says "one or more speakers are offline" when I try to add it). The Arc shows up online normally in my list of connected speakers to control, play music on, etc My Beam, Era 100, Move, and Sonos One still correctly displayed on 80.00.04 and 80.00.08.This is on iPad and iPhone.
Hey Sonos!I love the new Sonos Voice Control feature! I'm so excited that you got Giancarlo Esposito; the man has the best voice on the planet! The voice control does everything I want it to, EXCEPT have a wake word chime, like Alexa does. I want one to make it clearer when the voice control system is listening. Currently I'm just listening for a subtle drop in the music volume, which isn't as satisfying as a nice affirming chime like Alexa's. Am I missing an option somewhere? If not, I would love it if a chime could be added. Thanks Spotify!
I am still searching for a possibility to change the volume of all Spoken messages like response on Alexa or a response on “Hey Sonos”. When I listen with silent volume to music, all spoken messages are as well not loud enough I would like to have a setting that a chest the volume of all spoken messages in relation to the music volume. In addition to that I want to set a minimum volume for all spoken messages. For instance if I have silent music, I want to have a minimum volume that needs to be kept for all announcements. Otherwise, I cannot hear or anything like that. How can I achieve this?
I’ve just bought my first Sonos product - Era 100 - and it sounds great.I’m using the Sonos voice control to play radio stations. ie. “Hey Sonos - play BBC radio 6”.All works fine but the voice feedback - “Awesome, “Great choice” etc is so irritating.I checked the app but couldn’t find a way to disable this. Am i missing something?
I want to stop using Amazon Alexa and Sonos Voice Control approach should work perfectly for me… except I’m a Spanish speaker and I have to awkwardly speak English to my speakers. Is Spanish being considered as a new language for Sonos Voice Control?
Whenever I say “Hey Sonos, play Miss Honey by Eats Everything” it completely blanks me like nah gurrrl, not today. The only song it ever behaves like this when I ask for 😂
Hi I have a stereo pair of Era 100s setup in a room. I have activated Sonos Voice Control on the right speaker. When I issue an alarm command “Hey Sonos set alarm for 5 minutes”, the right speaker responds confirming the command, however when the alarm chime sounds after 5 minutes it only plays in the left speaker and I can only turn it off at the left speaker.Any suggestion on how to get the alarm to play in both speakers? And so I don’t have to walk over to the left speaker to turn it off and can do it on the right speaker.
Recently started using Sonos Voice Control and tried using the command to level out the volume for all speakers. Sonos voice assistant shot back with a confirmation, even going so far as to say, “Setting the volume for all speakers to 20%,” but when I checked the app for confirmation I was getting different volume levels across the board. Anyone else having a similar experience? Tried doing a quick search but the only solution I found was the one I previously employed which required me to go into the app, slide the group volume down all the way, let go for half a second, and drag the slider back up.Any insights would be appreciated.
