Get help with your Sonos Roam, and Sonos Move

I’ve got a home wireless network, and another Starlink-powered wifi network in my Sprinter van.I want to be able to, well, move two Sonos Move 2s between those two networks -- use it at home when I’m at home, and use it on the road when I’m in the Sprinter. This has proven really, really vexing. It’s not immediately clear if this is even possible to do this. After a bunch of research I learned that I can register more than one wifi network as “trusted” in the app. When I registered a second network as trusted, my Move disappeared from the primary network. I got a “system not found” error in the app.I then tried to re-register the Move 2 on the original network. The app found one of the Moves but not the other one.I had to do a factory reset on the Moves to get them to work on the original network again.Am I missing something? Is there an easier way to use the Move on more than one network?
I’ve already contacted SONOS and Denon tech support on this one. It’s odd to say the least.History: I bought a single SONOS Roam 2 to test via bluetooth with my Denon AVR 760H. It worked after I got help from Denon (Did a POWER RESET, and a NETWORK RESET). Bluetooth connected just fine and it sounded nice. It even worked nice with my iPhone. During the setup of the SONOS Roam 2, I was never prompted for a number on the bottom of the speaker.Based on the aforementioned test results, I ordered a second SONOS Roam 2. When I received it, I plugged it in to set it up. During the setup, I was prompted for the number on the bottom of the speaker. This was new to me because the first one didn’t ask. Also during the setup, the speaker did a firmware update. I tested it alone via my iPhone, and it worked perfectly.I plugged the first Roam 2 I bought back in, and it did a firmware update. It also asked me for the number on the bottom of the speaker this time. I found this odd. I reprogrammed the
We often use our move as a bluetooth speaker. When we want to pair it, it is often not detected by the device we want to pair it with.If it is on, it randomly wants to connect/ pair, and if something else is playing on another bluetooth speaker, it switches to the move without us wanting to.What is the issue here? What can I do to fix the issue? Thanks a lot!
Hi there,I cannot believe I have to ask this but here goes.I have a Roam 2 sitting in Taipei awaiting customs clearance, DHL have emailed me and asked for detailed technical information about the Roam 2, specifically the Wi-Fi operating range and the Bluetooth strength. Is there a technical specifications document I can quote from so that I can get my speaker? Thanks very much in advance.
I have connected my move 2 to my WiFi and it says it will appear on the app once I turn it off and on again but then it never does. Please help.
I currently have one Roam 2 that I am able to connect via bluetooth to my Denon AVR 760H and use without any major issues (minor issue in the process of reconnecting when the receiver is powered off).I was wondering how would I pair two Roam 2 speakers and get my Denon to see and use them as a pair (single bluetooth connection)? And when they are paired, is each volume control on top of the speaker itself (not using the receiver volume control since it is not supported per Denon) independent, or does reducing the volume on one reduce the volume on the other when they are paired? Again, volume controls on top of the speakers only.Thank you!
Can Sonos Roam 2 be connected to any of Sonos subwoofer?
Speaker works with Bluetooth fine. Set up process works and connect to network. Then app cannot locate device. Try again, same thing. It can detect device to set up initially but after that never can connect. Frustrating. Ready to return. So disappointed.
My Sonos Roam was unplugged from power source for 3 weeks while away. Now it won't turn on even though it's plugged in and orange charging light is on. Will not connect at all. Is the battery permanently dead
My Roam product clearly is not working even with all the reset suggestions and power adapters etc the support is a complete run around and I am not happy at all with the amount of money and lack of performance when it did work. In its second year went completely dead. Why can’t this company realize it is loosing customers with this issue and take care of me. I’m feeling very disappointed and ripped off!
Our entire home is filled with Gen 1 speakers that we run on the Sonos 1 app on our phones, as well as on my laptop. My husband bought a Roam, not realizing it’s not compatible with the rest of our system. What’s the easiest way to initialize the Roam and use it simply as a bluetooth speaker that we can pair with other audio from our phones, independently of requiring the Sonos 2 app? Hoping I make sense and thanks in advance!
Hi all - I know there has been terrible reports of the Sonos App and streaming issues.I’ve just purchased a pair of Sonos Roam 2 and paired for stereo.Randomly, I’ve experienced where the streaming just stops.I have to power cycle the units for them to show up and be able to stream music again.Just now, I had it happen - the left unit is slowly flashing amber LED, where the Right unit was still showing. In the sonos web app for streaming - the “cluster” of Roam speakers I was using to stream was gone.I checked via my Sonos App on my iPhone, and only the Right unit is connected - and the Left shows “not connected”.Is this part of the ongoing grief by Sonos? I’m debating about packaging these up and returning them.I will try a full reset on these and see if it occurs again.
Tijdens het afspelen geeft de SONOS app aan dat de move 2 wel meedoet in de groep, maar speelt geen geluid af. Moderator Note - Translation by Google:During playback, the SONOS app indicates that the move 2 is participating in the group, but does not play any sound.
Hi,I'm trying to connect two new Move 2 speakers to my existing system to no avail. I've previously connected 4 other speakers to the WiFi (One & SL types) with no issues whatsoever. The amps and other products have all been installed professionally. The issue is when it comes to sharing the WiFi from my phone to the speaker. It simply fails every time and asks for the password once before it gives up and says there is an issue. I called the helpline and they said it's because of the WiFi web I use all over the house. She said it will not connect to such a network. I explained that the other 4 speakers I installed all connected fine. The operator didn't know what to suggest other than. Changing my whole WiFi system! Ridiculous. I've tried connecting them via a wired connection but they don't acknowledge being plugged in and constantly go through the same circle above. I've tried turning them off and back on (they don't turn back on u less put back on the dock) to see if they then r
Hi- anyone know if there’s a fix for Sonos Roam not charging. It was working perfectly then all of a sudden stopped charging. Nothing I do will let it get any charge or even get enough power to do a reset. I have two Roams and I’m using the right power adapter and sonos cord. One Roam is charging fine and the other just has a flashing orange light of death. I have had it on charge for 2 days and can’t get it to respond at all except with the orange light after pushing the button. I’ve called support but just end up on hold for a long time. I’m on hold now as I write this.
I get it, you can’t use Roam and Move as surround speakers. But it would be nice if you could. I want to use roam in the bedroom on the nightstand because of the small footprint and the small room. so what would happen if you had a charging base that was part of the Sonos surround to connect with your main channel (arc, beam, etc.) then when the roam is on the charging base, the system treats it as a surround. When you remove it, the base says ‘there is nothing here’. This would allow me to snag one to take to the pool during the day and watch a movie at night. just think about it. Plus it’s another way for you to suck about $200 out of my pocket.
Sonos 2 keeps turning off weather it on the charger or not
When I turn off the loudness it turns itself back on. What’s up?
My Sonos Move failed charging dock replacement It charges Ok via USB-C, using the same mains socket outlet, so I know it’s the docking base. I also measured the voltage across the dock pins and it is zero. I bought it new from John Lewis in May 2023 but they no longer stock this older model and so under their warranty I can only get a refund or a same-price alternative or pay the extra £140 for the newer Move 2; non of which are appealing to me. Do Sonos provide replacement charging docks?
I have about 20 Sonos devices. Suddenly I cannot control volume on my Move 2 from the app (works fine via physical buttons on the move). Additionally, when I try and group my Move2 with a port, not only does it not group, but my move goes into "sleep mode" until I turn it off and turn it back on again. I only use the move with the line in adapter. This used to work great, what is going on? I need this fixed by football season, else my back yard projection system is useless. This is why I bought the move, 3 ports, 6 speakers, and a huge emotiva amp... and now none of it works any more
Hi. My sonos move (original model) won't activate microphone. Led stays off, touch button does not respond. Have tried with and without all the other vouce control options. Have reset and rejoined several times. Maybe a problem with the capacitive button?
Connection keeps dropping out on Bluetooth when using move 2
Hello. My Roam suddenly made the full volume hammering noise and now it had disappeared from the app. I have held down the volume and play button and tried to turn it off and on again as advised in previous threads about this subject but still nothing. Most of the threads seem to be about two years old and have been closed. Did this ever get sorted please? Just been onto customer support UK but there is a 75 minute wait which I can't do right now. The white light at the top is on but the speaker light won't come on and of course it's gone from my app do cant do a diagnostic. Thanks for any help.
I want to keep it always charging Won't that damage the battery?Thank you
How can I play an audio file stored on my phone through Move 2?
