Hi everyone. I bought 1x Ray and 2x Era 100. I put the Ray in the center and the Era 100 on the sides. Can you please tell me if the Sonos app realized that the Era is used for the front right and left channel? I have an assumption that the Sonos app thinks the Era is used for the rear left and right channels. Is there any way I can check this and reconfigure it? Thanks.
My beam will play music from my iPhone and it’s connected onto my system which is the same system as my Google TV. However, I cannot get it to play audio for the TV. The TV recognizes the beam because it switches automatically to it and when I disconnected the TV automatically switches back to TV audio. I have changed cables, and that did not help. Anyone have suggestions
Hello,I recently (4-5 months back) purchased a Sonos Arc and Sub (Gen 3) to add to my existing system of Play 1’s and Sub (Gen 2). Prior to buying these 2 new sonos products, I never had the below issues, but since connecting the Arc to my Living Room config (TV + 2 Play 1s + 2 Sub), there have been several instances when Sonos has started playing music on its own in the middle of the night, or sometimes early morning. And atleast 2 times now, while watching Netflix on TV via the connected playstation, the system randomly connected to Youtube (disconnecting from Netflix), and started playing a youtube video. The first time was a couple weeks ago, but the second time just happened a couple hours back, and I then went ahead and generated the Sonos diagnostics.I had to do it twice since the 1st time I may not have been connected to the home wifi. # 1279716390# 654016055 I briefly researched this on google the last time it happened, and saw some posts about spotify etc being the culprit for
HiI have a Beam with two one speakers added to create surround sound. This works fine.Today I bought a 3rd one speaker and added it as a separate speaker. I grouped it with the current living room surround set up. However, I have run into a few issues. The new one speaker does play sound but it keeps breaking up/cutting out. In addition, when I press mute on the sky remote it only mutes the existing surround set up. This is how I discovered the new speaker was cutting out as it plays the TV sound by itself. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi. About to move to an apartment with the following layout. the only place the TV can go is circled red and where the couch can go is in blue. I'm concerned about losing one of the surrounds from the era 300s due to one side having no wall at all and extending to the other side of the apartment. Any tips on how to mitigate this when I move? My thought was to place a bookshelf in that area, next to that era 300, so as to create something that sound can bounce off of.
Playing atmos movies from streaming services like netflix works fine even when loud. But when i play atmos dvds from my samsung dvd player there is an audible crackling sound thats associated to more bass heavy scenes no matter what volume it is set to. Primarily the transfomers age of darkness blu ray is one of the worst. It only occurs during atmos. If i change the dvd players ouput to regular 5.1 it no longer occurs. Any ideas whats wrong? Ive got the most up to date firmwares and highest hdmi versions needed.
Hi allI’m having issues connecting my remote to the Sonos Ray. Setup:TV : Medion (https://aldi.medion.com/md31196/be_nl/?refPage=aldi)Ray is connected via Optical cable, but works fineTV setting are set to activate CECRemote : When holding my hand in front of the remote it does not work (on my tv etc) as such it should be an IR remote. What’s happening:When I go through the setup procedure and I click the plus button on my remote the light blinks on the Sonos Ray, as such it is my impression that it does receive or see the remote. However it keeps saying it’s unable to recognize the remote. Any tips I can try?
I thank that something is not ok with my setup. so when im using native Netflix app from my tv everything is perfect (i got dolby dogital 2.0 oraz 5.1 ) When there is stereo (dolby digital 2.0 oraz stereo pcm) i can hear some sounds from satelites (symfonisks) but when im watching same movie (that is not 5.1 but stereo only) VIA netlix (Firestik) at the app is always (dolby digital 5.1) and i cant hear any sound from satelites everything is perfect with movies that have 5.1 (working fine via both Netflix apps) btw. At Fire stick settings im using dolby dogital (not best ) couse with best firestick is using dd+ that my panasonic cant use via hdmi arc and i was Geting only stereo pcm (with i could hear some sound via satelites) just wondering if my setup is ok…
I installed 6 One SL speakers in different rooms two days ago. Everything worked perfect until yesterday evening, when all of a sudden I could not play music in different rooms at the same time anymore.I can adress every single box seperately, so they all work. The app shows soundbars behind the selected rooms when I play multiroom, but in reality only one room has sound… How to fix this?
Got the sonos arc and sun about a month ago. I’ve been thrilled but just noticed that the arc favors the right side a lot more than the left. Did and individual speaker test and the left speakers are having trouble playing treble and highs. Turned off true play and even reset and re paired the bar and still the same thing. Is this a setting issue or is it faulty product?
So I’ve had my Sonos home theater setup for over 10 months using an ARC, 2 Play 5 Gen 2, Sub Gen 2, and Sub Gen 3. I am using a Sonos Boost for my Sonia Network and had been perfect for 10 months but last week got disconnected for no reason, and when tying to reconnect the Play 5 gen 2 pair the setup wizard connecting them to the ARC and subs will time out saying it didn’t connect. When I go to look at my system it will no longer show the Play 5s and it will indicate I have surround speakers hooked to the ARC yet they don’t play any sound and the room with the ARC will show (ARC+Subx2+??) so I remove the surround speakers from the ARC and try to connect again. I have reset all speakers and started from scratch but still cannot get my Play 5s to connect to my ARC as the surrounds. I have had Sonia for over 8 years with no problems and even upgraded my speakers. I have 4 Play 1, 2 Play 5 Gen 2, 1 playbar, 1 ARC, and 2 Subs Gen2. if anyone knows how to get this fixed and hooked up
Hi all,After selling off all of my Sonos speakers (Four 5’s, a bunch of 1’s, and a few IKEA bookshelf speakers) several years ago Ive decided to jump back on into the fold with a new Home theatre setup. Just recently purchased an Arc, Sub, and Move and have been very happy with the sound quality. I’ve been having a far better experience this go around than I did several years ago. I am having one issue though that I can’t figure out… l have an Apple TV 4K (Latest Model) connected to a 2022 Samsung Frame TV of which I have the Arc connected to with paired Sub. All are connected correctly. Arc is connected to the earc port while Apple TV to another HDMI and with high bandwidth cables etc…. Also, I do have Input signal plus turned on for all inputs on the TV. The issue I’ve been having is that when watching video content the picture freezes intermittently for a very brief period. Probably a half a second or so. Maybe even less. Audio is fine and sounds great stays in sync and keep
Hello everyone,First of all, please forgive my English !I would like some help on my problem ; I bough a Beam, my first Sonos product but I am quite disappointed…I connected the Beam to my TV via HDMI and works fine, connected to the wifi works fine too.I setup my router to shutdown the wifi during the night and then to run it at 8.00 am (router is still up, only wifi is shutdown). On the morning when wifi is back, every thing working good except I can’t connect to the Beam (unable to connect to sonos). It’s strange because in the wifi devices list I can see “Sonos ZP” connected, but on the app I can’t connect to it. If I want it to work I have to reboot my router, and then Sonos is back. I try this : put a fix IP address, separate the 2.4 and 5Ghz networks but still same thing ; in the morning when wifi is back, everything is working except the Sonos. Thanks for your help !
My SONOS was playing sound just fine but when a friend tried pairing with a SONY speaker I had, she inadvertently tried pairing it to my Sony TV which has my SONOS hooked to it. As soon as I canceled the attempt, my SONOS quit playing sound thru my TV. I have not been able to get it to work again. I’ve tried resetting the TV speakers to internal & then back to external. I’ve tried pushing the button on the back of the SONOS arc. I’ve tried unplugging the HDMI cable to the SONOS, waiting 30 seconds & plugging it back in. I’ve tried unplugging the HDMI cable to the SONOS, waiting for my TV to switch automatically to internal speakers, plugging it back in & waiting for my TV to switch automatically back to my external speakers, which it does but still no sound. I’ve tried unplugging the power to the SONOS, TV & DISH Joey, waiting 30 seconds & plugging it back in. I’ve tried resetting the Joey & the network connection. I have a SONOS Boost, but I didn’t try unpluggi
My Sonos sub sound is slightly delayed (lags behind the other speaker sound)… maybe less than half a second, but noticeably detracts from the listening quality. My 4 wall speakers and sub are all hard wired into the same Sonos Amp.I have tried to retune using Trueplay, reconnected, and tried the wireless setup, but all without success. Any ideas?
I have ten Sonos products in my house and have never had any issues with my setup until this week and I’m about to lose it.My Master Bedroom has a Sonos Beam with two Sonos Ones set up as Surround speakers. My Family Room has a Sonos Arc with a connected Sub.Both have worked flawlessly for YEARS in this setup on my Nest Wifi mesh, never a problem -- until this week. I noticed for both of those two setups, my surround and sub on both rooms are showing up as ? on my system in the S2 App and are not playing music. Here’s how it looks:Family Room TV (+?)ArcMaster Bedroom (+?+?)BeamTwo days ago I went through a few hours of self troubleshooting based on some posts. Factory resetting my speakers and trying to set them back up was giving me errors -- the speakers would connect individually but when I tried to add them as surrounds it would fail and give me an error message. I was finally successful by factory resetting my surrounds and sub, rebooting my main router and google wifi router/end
Hello ,Still trying to resolve set up with my New Beam. Its an older Samsung Model TV. HDMI ports don’t support ARC. I had issues getting my older Playbar to work, but was able to finally get the optical port to work on the TV. Now, I have moved the older TV downstairs and trying to hook up a BEAM with it (smaller space) and can’t get the optical adapter to work. Makes me think the optical port on the TV was bad. Any ideas how I can bypass this? Could the Optical port on my Sumsung TV be a different size that the adapter sent by Sonos? Airgetlam, hoping you might weigh in. Thank you, Mark
I don’t know if this question has been asked yet, so here goes. I am using 2 Era 300s as surrounds in a 7.2.4 system used exclusively for home theatre. The 300s are behind the couch, mounted right-side up, 26 inches from an acoustical tile ceiling. The question is, since the acoustical ceiling is absorbing much of the upward-firing sound, would it not be better to raise the 300s a bit and mount them upside down?
I was very excited to get my Sub Mini and try it out. It showed up on my app to add. I added it as was instructed but it will not show up in the app. I have chatted with Sonos and spoke to a live person. Completed multiple factory re-sets of my playbar and sub mini. Tried starting whole new system. Factory reset my whole Wi-Fi mesh system. Tried Ethernet to connect as well. The sub mini is showing on my network as connected to the same network as my play bar. The app says it is connected but it just does not show up to be added to my play bar. I really love Sonos but this has really been frustrating and making me rethink adding to the system. Any help would be great.
