If you want to use the One SLs as surrounds with the Beam be sure they are separated as a stereo pair and follow the instructions in this article:

https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/add-surround-speakers-to-a-sonos-home-theater?

Then test the speakers with a 5.1 audio source. You can see what audio format you are playing on the Now Playing screen in the Sonos app.

Thanks. Speakers are connected to beam under one product..living room. When music is played, surround works.  When tv on one sl speakers mute.

Set your TV to these settings (if available):

eARC: Auto

Digital Audio Out: Auto 1

Dolby Digital Plus Output: Dolby Digital

Pass Through Mode: Auto

Set the Surround Sound setting on the Fire TV Stick to Best Available.

Then test the speakers using a 5.1 audio source.

Thanks.  Always difficult as tv settings/ surround sound setting on fire stick do not match what you are referencing.  There is no Surround Sound…Best Available on settings tab of Fire stick.

What specific Fire TV Stick model and TV model do you have? What streaming services do you use? What audio format are you currently seeing displayed on the Now Playing screen in the Sonos app?

You can also post photos of your current TV and Fire TV Stick settings.

Sony Bravia 2014 Smart TV. Don’t know if this helps.

On the Fire TV Stick, go to Display and Sounds > Audio and post a photo of what audio setting options you can choose from.

What specific model number is your TV? There is a possibility that your TV might be too old to pass through 5.1 audio from the Fire TV Stick.

In the TV settings, go to Sound > Digital Audio Out and select Auto.

Choose the “Dolby Digital over HDMI” setting on the Fire TV Stick.

Then test a 5.1 film from Netflix and see what audio format is displayed on the Now Playing screen in the Sonos app. Ideally it should say “Dolby Digital 5.1”:

You’ve been great.  Have set to DD over HDMI.  Will have to wait end fball game to test Netflix. So YouTube tv would not allow sound on one sl speakers?

YouTube TV supports 5.1 audio but not from all channels or programs. But even if the program is only in stereo, you should still be hearing some ambient audio from the surround speakers.

Have you adjusted the TV Level slider higher under the Surround Audio settings in the Sonos app?

What audio format is displayed in the Sonos app when streaming the football game from YouTube TV?
