I had a 4 year old sub that died. I sent it back for 30% off a new one. So to replace it will cost me (with tax) $600 for a 4 year old $800 sub. $150 a year to rent a sub seams unrealistic to me. Now that Sonos has become a big company they just don’t give a crap!I asked for help… fix it, replace with referb or larger discount. NOPE...not even SORRY. Just tough S___!I have a house full of Sonos & have recommended to several friends.NO more…
My Setup: Sonos Arc, Sub Gen.3, 2x Era 300 as rear surrounds; Media Player: Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 (playback through Plex)I recently added the 2 Era 300 as rear surrounds and when I now play a Dolby Atmos TrueHD file the height channels don‘t work anymore (when I turn off the surrounds in the sonos app the height channel from the sonos arc is suddenly working again, so I can be sure that the problem is coming from the era 300s). I use the following 7.1.4 and the 5.1.2 files to test the height channel output (both remain silent on all height channels): https://download.dolby.com/us/en/test-tones/dolby-test-tones_7_1_4.mp4https://download.dolby.com/us/en/test-tones/dolby-test-tones_5_1_2.mp4I configured Trueplay and turning it on or off doesn't change the behavior of this issue as well as any other setting in the sonos app. When playing the testfile the app is showing that Dolby Atmos is playing.I bought the era 300 that I have better atmos and not that it doesn't work at all…Edit: My TV
I have a strange issue: I cannot update my Arc to version 15.3, from version 15.2, I have 2 Era 300 speakers, and a Sub 3rd gen. I have even tried manually but the update fails with error code 6. I have my Arc wired to the router. What should I do? I even tried restarting the Arc but to no avail
Looking at this possible set up. So, from what I understand:HDMI 1 (2.0) - Bell Satellite PVRHDMI 2 (2.0) - Samsung 4K DVDHDMI 3 (eARC) - Sonos ArcHDMI 4 (ARC) - Apple TVI would connect the PVR/DVD/APPLE TV first, followed by the Sonos Arc… is this the right way to do it or is there a better way to set this up?Other questions related to the television:1- will I be able to control the PVR with the TV remote?2- will I be able to control the Apple TV with the TV remote?3- will I be able to control the DVD player with the TV remote?
Hi, I have a Beam 2 soundbar with two Sonos One connected to a LG C2 tv and the tv connected to my PC. My problem is that every couple of minutes (sometimes more sometimes less) the sound stops working for a few seconds.Has anyone had a similar problem?I have tried various things like using the pc in 5.1, 7.1, dolby atmos mode. But the problem continues. The PC has a RTX 3080 and I'm using a HDMI 2.1 cable. The Beam 2 is connected to the HDMI eARC and the TV is in pass through mode. Thanks for help
My Sonos Beam (Gen 2) frequently makes a loud pop sound and then loses audio and restarts when playing Atmos content. My connected equipment is an AppleTV 4K (2022) and an LG OLED C2. All equipment has the latest firmware updates. Disabling Atmos does not seam like a reasonable fix since Atmos sounds is an advertised purpose of the Beam (Gen 2) and why I upgraded. Are there any things to try to resolve the issue?
Hi All, I've updated my Sonos app to latest firmware and updated by ARC and beam gen 2. I can get atmos to play via sonos app but when using Apple Music app atmos does not appear. I only ever use the Apple Music app to stream music to my speakers, bit disappointing this doesn't work. Am I doing something wrong?
My Arc is connected to my TV (Sony XBR65X950H) while my Beam is not. The TV and Arc was purchased in January, while the Beam dates back to about 2 years. About 3 weeks ago, I could no longer group Arc and Beam to play music or sounds from TV on Beam. When I group them to play music, it works for maybe 15 to 30 minutes and then the speakers stop playing. When this happens, Sonos App still indicates music is playing, yet no sound. If I select “stop” on Sonos App, I received a message that the App can’t be found. Also, when I group Arc and Beam together for TV sound, the sound on the Beam goes in and out. If I play music as a stand alone (without grouping them), both seems to work fine independently and TV sound using Arc as speakers has no issue. The problem occurs in grouping them. I also have Sonos One - when I group all of them, sound stop on Arc and Beam with music (No sound on Beam for TV). There is no Wifi issue when this happens. I reset the Arc and the Beam numerous times and
I just received my Sub, and as many other people I got disconnects between the Sub and Playbase. Before calling Sonos Tech, I want to try some things myself, and the first option that I want to dive into my own 5Ghz network. As fas as I know, the Sub and Playbase communicate via an ad-hoc 5ghz channel, and I want to be sure that that ad-hoc channel does not interfere with my own 5ghz network. Maybe its a useless thing to try, but at least I want to do it.How can I see or set the Frequency the PlayBase and Sub are using for talking to each other?
Hey guys, I have the issue that after turning the tv off via remote control the screen goes black but the status light of the tv still indicates it’s on. After some time the screen is grey and ON. This started happening after connecting the Sonos Arc to the tv. I’ve tried a couple of settings in the App such as TV Autoplay on/off and carious combinations of remote control settings. No luck so far with this issue. Can anyone help?
I have a Beam (GEN 2) hooked up to my Toshiba Fire TV through the HDMI ARC port. Hooked up the beam and everything works fine, tv sound, spotify, etc. However, whenever the TV goes to sleep/turns off for awhile and then is turned back on- the arc connection no longer works, plays no tv sound, and my tv says that my tv remote cannot control the volume.I try to re-pair the sonos with the tv via the app and it states there is no ARC Audio output even though it was working before...The only way for me to fix the issue is to fully restart the system via unplugging tv from the wall or going into tv settings and doing a full restart. Anyone seen this problem before or have any ideas on how to fix?
Hi, I have an issue with my Sonos Beam + SYMFONISK and AirPlay 2. If I’m playing music through AirPlay 2 from either my iPhone, HomePod mini or iPad both Sonos speakers stop for one second and then continues playing music, this is very irregular. Sometimes it works flawless for an hour, sometimes it skips the music for 1 second every 3 minutesI have tried multiple things. Connected the Beam to ethernet, changed Sonos channels, changed WiFi channels. Restarted and reset all Sonos speakers and router as well. Anything else I can do?
I ordered a Beam and 2 Ones for a home theater setup mainly for music streaming, along with watching some movies in surround. The Beam got lost in the mail so I received the 2 One’s first. Easy to setup. I set them up as stereo speakers and they sounded great. Finally, a few days later, my Beam arrived. I found to add the speaker, I had to break the stereo setup (in Sonos app) and then I could add them to the Beam as surround speakers. Here’s the issue. I don’t think it sounds as good. With just the two One’s the sound seemed to be coming from everywhere and was crystal clear. Now they are configured as rears, seems that most of the sound comes from the Beam and the One’s are really low. The sound seems to mainly be coming from the Beam and not traveling the room anymore. Am I doing something wrong? Do the One’s just have better fidelity? Thanks for your help.
I’m looking to by a new TV and want to make sure it is compatible with the ARC (current LG isn’t and had to install HDFury to resolve lip-synch issues). Am considering…. Samsung S95B OLED Model QN65S95BAFXZA LG Class B2 Series OLED Model OLED65B2PUA Sony BRAVIA XR A80K OLED Model XR65A80KAny feedback on if any of these models should be avoided because of compatibility issues?
Hi I would like to get to 4.1 or best sound I can get and am just setting up in a new space. Here is what I currently gave Lg c2 tv connected to Sonos amp through HDMI arc and running in-wall rear speakers. I have existing speakers, linn nexus, in front by tv. These are currently connected to a non Sonos amp, Naim audio. I want to use these in front. How do I use the existing equipment (plus additional Sonos amp or port) to get to surround with the Sonos amp running the rear speakers?Cheers Joe
I have a Beam soundbar I use for TV, and a pair of Ones in the same room for music. I’m aware I could put the Ones in the back of the room and pair them to the Beam as surrounds, but I really like where they are towards the front of the room for music. Music sounds great when the Ones and Beam are grouped. However, I’m having a bit of a frustrating experience switching back and forth between music and TV. I can’t leave the speakers grouped, because for whatever reason there is a minimum delay between the Beam and Ones of 75ms (I think) that causes an echo effect. So I set the beam to “ungroup on autoplay” for when the TV comes on. This works fine if the TV comes on when music is already playing: The Beam and Ones are ungrouped, the Beam starts playing TV and the Ones are paused. However, if the TV comes on when the speakers are grouped with music already paused things get weird: The Beam and Ones are ungrouped, the Beam starts playing TV and music is unpaused on the Ones. This creates q
Hi. Yesterday I bought a Sonos Arc sound bar and I am very happy with the sound quality. It is the best sound that I have heard on a sound bar to date.I have a Panasonic TV that supports eARC and sometimes the audio is muted when I change TV channels and I have to go into my TV settings and change the HDMI Audio Format settings. Does anyone know the best setting for my TV out of:Auto (default)PCMPass ThroughDolby Audio (this is the setting I use most of the time) I also have the Dolby Atmos setting switched on in the TV settings. Can anyone please advise? Thanks.
Hi EveryoneI have come from a 7.1 Denon Surround sound system onto the Sonos set-up.Previous set-up was over kill for me and the amount of cables drove the wife insane. So I now have a BEAM, which I love, and recently purchased x2 Sonos Ones for the surrounds. I have a couple of small issues that maybe the community can help me with. First off, I can turn the TV off with ALEXA , but when I turn it back on it defaults to DVB and not the HDMI, even if DVB is disabled in Hotel mode on the TV. I have to use the TV remote to switch to HDMITV model : Panasonic TC-55CX800Anyone have any ideas on this?Second issue, If I ask Alexa to play my music, it mutes or stops the TV audio. (Which is good)but then if I ask Alexa to “play TV sound” nothing happens. I have to use the TV remote to raise the volume again. Basically I can’t get the beam to switch back to TV audio. Anyone have any ideas on this? (I have a feeling its linked to the first issue)Third and final issue…70% of the time I watch TV thro
Hello,I have a Sonos Beam hooked up to my TV. I also like to play music on it using Alexa or Airplay from my iPhone. But lately, I’ve had a strange issue where the Sonos randomly stops showing up in the AirPlay menu, and the Sonos app on my phone can’t find the system either. However, the system is still completely working and connected to the Internet, as I can play music with Alexa just fine. So it’s not a matter of the system losing its internet connection; it’s just that my phone can’t seem to find it anymore.Last time this happened, completely restarting all my devices and my router solved the issue. (Restarting the phone, on its own, doesn’t help.) However, it’s happened a couple more times since then and I really don’t want to have to go through the hassle of restarting everything every few days, so I’d like to get to the bottom of what’s actually causing this. I assume it’s something to do with my router, but I haven’t actually changed any settings on my router in months, so I’
Hello Everyone, Even though i would have loved it I cannot install an Arc or Beam on my wall at the moment. So i am looking to get a Sonos Amp connected to my Samsung One Box. would it work so i get TV sound from the Sonos Speaker Latency ? SalutiFrancesco
