Hey Everyone,I’ve got a Sonos Arc with a sub and Sonos AMP connected to ceiling speakers. The AMP and Sub are very close by to the Sonos Arc. Is there any benefit in putting an ethernet cable in between the Sonos ARC and AMP? Neither are connected directly to a router as I have another speaker wired to the router in another room to create SonosNet.I’d assume putting a cable in between the Sonos ARC and Amp would make it more reliable as the home theatre setup doesn’t need to communicate over Wifi.
I recently had a beam soundbar, with 2 surround sound (SL) speakers that worked just fine. I then upgraded my soundbar to an ARC (and connected to TV with HDMI). However, now I cannot re-add my surround sound speakers. They are nowhere to be found in my profile, and when I do add product/search product it searches for a long time and cannot locate (the speakers are connected to the same wifi as the soundbar). I’ve tried unplugging the soundbar and speakers and re-plugging but that hasn’t helped either…
I bought a Sonos Arc soundbar yesterday. I just got off a call with the support team member and even after one hour of troubleshooting unable to get past the Sonos setup. I am using the S2 Sonos app. This is what was done: First time connected to Wi-fi, setup failed with “Error 30” (tried this 4 times 2 times from an android phone, 1 time from an iphone and 1 time from an ipad) Tried with direct ethernet cable going to the router, got the error “Couldn’t connect to your Sonos” Did Factory reset at least 17 times, trying all possible options. Tried again Wi-fi, now after typing in the password the light on the Sonos Arc speaker would turn off, setup failed The support tech asked me for diagnostic info, and he said he could not determine anything from that, why even have such a useless feature in the first place?Overall: I just don’t know what to do other then be forced to return the product (honestly was so looking forward to use it) after 3 hours of wasting my time to setup the prod
I have the Amp with Sonos ceiling speakers and the Beam G2. When I try and play music from Spotify, it up mixes to some faux 2.1 signal and plays out the center channel using the surrounds rather than just playing music out the L & R channels from the Amp. I am finding that once you add a center channel, it turns your amp and ceiling speakers into nothing more than an expensive rear surround speakers. Is there a way to NOT use the center channel for music without having to reconfigure the entire system every time (remove surrounds)….like every normal AV receiver?
I know that dialogue issues with Arc have been discussed a lot, but I am still at an impasse. The latest updates did help a lot with dialogue on my Arc + Sub (3), but when using Atmos through my Apple TV 4K, dialogue levels are still very low. I have Speech Enhancement engaged, and typically have “Reduce Loud Sounds” engaged on the Apple TV. When I turn off Atmos in Apple TV, and revert to 5.1, the issue resolves itself. Does anyone have suggestions on what to try to resolve this using Atmos? I feel like I’ve tried every combination to make this usable. I have performed Trueplay after the latest update.
Got the sonos arc and sun about a month ago. I’ve been thrilled but just noticed that the arc favors the right side a lot more than the left. Did and individual speaker test and the left speakers are having trouble playing treble and highs. Turned off true play and even reset and re paired the bar and still the same thing. Is this a setting issue or is it faulty product?
Hello,I would like to wall mount my pair of SonoS 300 as surround. The couch is attached to the wall. The distance from listeners ears are 170cm on the side and “ear hight”.Please suggest me the best “facing “positioning:-parallel to the TV wallor-lightly inclined towards the listener (in this case the inner drivers will make the sound bounce to the wall before reaching the listeners ears). thank you
My 2 week old Sonos Arc died yesterday. Used it during the afternoon without issues and at night, when I connected the TV again, it not longer registered. Followed all the instructions ( rebooting the router, reconnecting the power cable, etc.. ) and nothing worked. The Sonos Arc is completely dead - touching the buttons doesn’t do anything. Sub + Sonos One SL are still powered on and register when I touch the buttons - no power issues at all. All my home theater devices are connected to power surge protected extension cords. The TV is connected to the same extension as the Arc - so is the sub. All are working just fine. My Sonos Arc was a refurbished model - maybe it was a dud? Tried to reach the support team with no success - Live chat says no representatives are available and phone number for Portugal is disconnected. How can I get help? I can’t seem to even find an e-mail contact. I’d like to active my warranty as soon as possible so I can get a replacement. Thank you.
I am having trouble with the hdmi input on the back of my Beam. It’s so loose it loses connection from vibration and then I lose my surround sound. This is the second Beam I’ve had that has this issue. It seems to be a factory defect.Has anyone else experienced a loose hdmi input? How do I resolve?
Well, I’ve done all the troubleshooting I can find online. I’m going to call Sonos tomorrow. 2 play one’s, playbar and a sub. Works altogether once a month, if I’m lucky. I spend an hour trying to configure the system, for it to drop a single component or all of them except the playbar. Between my phone and my wife’s, we both use the Sonos app, so I assume there is a handshake trust for encryption that is partially to blame. I take them individually and plug them into the router. i gotta say I’m sick and tired of this system. Such a PIA.I feel like I’ve been bamboozled by the initial quality of the system and software, only to have the patched updates to the software completely ruin the system. Plus I miss playing my music from my playlist on my phone. Blah
I have just bouight a Sonos Ray and set up surround sound ith my exisiting pair of Play 1s.I would like to tweak the volume of the speaker indiviually, in particular make the Play 1s a tad louder in than what they are now in the Surround set up, is that possible?
Hi you Good People out there….Well,i got some questions to ask so i can get a better understanding of this. Anyway, here it goes:I have basicly tree rooms with Sonos-items. My livingroom down stairs,a livingroom upstairs and my bedroom. All these rooms got a Panasonic 10yo+ plastma-tv each. And with their 2022 Apple TV 4k( 3xPansonic tv&3xApple TV in total)Livingroom upstairs got the Cinema-setup with the Beam G2, ERA 100 and 2xSub G3….and a Arcana HDfury(the only one i got)Bedroom got ERA 100’s in stereo, and the livingroom downstairs got two pairs of Ikea BS speaker.Everything have been working ok. And i got the same issues as others when it comes to how to use the side-menu on Apple TV to dissble TV speakers, and hook off for either ERA or BS. Well you follow me so far right?Ok,the Ikea BS’es i have one pair under my tv(places where a future Ray/Beam/Ark would be located) and the other Ikea BS i bought the org stands and did a foot/base delite. And placed them in the corner like the
I have had an Apple TV+ subscription for about a year and have recently purchased a Sonos-based home theater setup (Arc, Era 300 and Sub Mini) and wish to experience Dolby Atmos content via my Apple TV+ subscription on my new system. Can anybody point me to information about this? So far, most posts point me toward Apple Music, or the Apple TV physical component, which are not of current interest to me. TIA
Can we please get separate Height controls for the Sonos Arc and the Era 300s? On my setup I would like to keep the Arc height volume at 10 and era 300s at around 5, for me to have the Arc with a noticiable height effect the 300s are overwhelmingly high….they are superior to the Arc in height effects imo so they should have separate controls
I have a speaker system that includes the Arc, Sub (Gen 3) and two Sonos One SLs.When I am watching television, it randomly turns itself down.I am not touching the remote or the app, and there is nothing/nobody else in my house that would be turning it down. Frustrating.Anyone have any ideas on how to make this stop?
I just got an arc and a sub and upgraded my system to S2. The Arc works great, but I don’t get any sound from the Sub. I have tried to disconnect it and connect it again (even did a factory reset) but no change. The sub is visible on my network and everything looks correct in the software, it is just that the Sub does not give any sound. The Arc however changes a lot when the sub is connected, it is like it opens up a lot more sound on the upper frequencies, but without the Sub too much of the lower spectrum is missing. Any idea? Did I get a broken Sub?
Hi, I’m lucky enough to have both new consoles and wasn’t really messing around too much with sound when I first got them, but I’ve just upgraded my 2014 LCD to an LG CX and need setup advice. I have a Playbar and 2 gen1 Play surround speakers. I know I can’t get Dolby Atmos with this setup but what are the best settings for sound for the consoles? On Series X I have HDMI audio set to 5.1 uncompressedOn PS5 I had it originally set to Linear PCM but I’ve found Bitstream (Dolby) and Bitstream (DTS) do produce sound... Very little audio experience and would really appreciate any help!
Hello, I’ve recently purchased an ARC and I’m curios what settings to use on my TV in regards to audio output format. On my Samsung TV, I have the ARC connected to the HDMI ARC output. In the settings I have two areas I can adjust. 1 is called “HDMI Audio format”. Two options are PCM OR Bitstream 2 is called “Audio format”, three options are PCM, Dolby Digital and DTS Neo 2:5.. I have the ARC paired with a Gen 3 sub. ARC is wall mountedWhat are the best settings should I use?
