i have a problem that my acr ultra is turning the mic on and off by it self when i play music and i can’t turn it on or off again i the app but i can do it on the arc. i have try to reboot it but it didn’t stop the problem. what to do????

I have a question about backsound because playing anything pass hdmi arc in beam 2 on tv direct or spotify app on tv (by wifi works ok 5.1 music) on spain only works in one channel that transmit in DOLBY atmos  it is TVE HD in my 2 sonos one sl back its on. I think a stereo signal must be converted by every channel to be audible in back in every case. it is possible?

I have a Playbar that my family had for years - always in the horizontal position. For some reason, all of a sudden after using the same playbar for years, today it has decided to disable the front IR receiver and enable the rear IR receiver, and none of our Volume control works anymore unless we point our remote at a 30-40 degree angle down towards the soundbar.  The Playbar is in its horizontal location as it always had been. How do I switch this back? I cannot find a setting to update on the Sonos App.

Hey,I have the following hardware configuration: Sony A95L, Sonos Arc Ultra + 2x Era300 + Sub 3 Gen. I have the following problem. For some time now, I have noticed that clicking on night mode or dialogue enhancement in the app does nothing. This happens both when playing content from Apple TV and in the Bravia Core TV app. Moreover, I have the impression that when I turn on night mode while watching something on ATV, e.g., in Dolby Atmos, but also in 5.1, instead of lowering the volume, it increases. The best part is that when I play a movie on YouTube (TV app), night mode works correctly. I have Arc +  HDFury Arcana + UHD player and it worked well for a long time.But with recent firmware upgrade (since March upgrade I guess), I found Dolby TrudHD can no longer being decoded. (no sound at all, and in Sonos APP no audio codec)I have reset Arc and HDFury and there was no help.After some trial I found Dolby Digital Plus and DTS5.1 still works so that it should be no issue with my setup. The issue only happens with TrueHD audio, even for TrueHD 5.1.Could anyone also check if there is same issue?PS. issue is still present with April upgrade (version 16.7 build : 84163251)

I told a salesman that I wanted to set up a 5.1 surround sound for my TV. He sold me 4 Era 100's, a Ray and a Sub. What's the best way to set these up? I seem to only be able to get 2 of the Era’s going and the TV remote only affects the volume for the Ray.

Hi!I am getting my Arc Ultra replaced due to some issues.RMA process was created and I got the email to proceed with the replacement process.Yet, for the last week it’s been impossible to proceed with the advance replacement as there is an issue with the Sonos website, that makes it impossible to fill in the CC data.Both the CC number and CVV number fields are inactive, no matter how I try to select them to fill in the information, they cannot be deleted.Already contacted Sonos, that abkownledges the problem, but the only update is that they are trying to solve it.In the meantime, the whole replacement process is halted. Anyone having the same issue?

I have a Sonos beam and a Samsung Smart TV that’s a few years old. I spent probably ten hours and came minutes away from buying a new TV before I resolved this issue but I fixed it. Issue was that the HDMI ARC port said it was not recognised and TV would default to TV Speakers. Would work sometimes then not. I FINALLY looked into the cable box I was using (in my case Telus TV) and there is a common issue with the HDMI ARC when you have a cable box and other devices connected to the same TV and the sound bar is on HDMI ARC. There is a CEC prong in the HDMI cable to the cable box (or perhaps game console, whatever)  (I forget which pin but google it) that causes ALL these issues. You can either 1) try and remove or block this pin or 2) what I did is I bought a $20 CEC Less HDMI adapter and connected it between my cable box and regular HDMI port. Boom problem solved. Excuse my ignorance as I’m a complete newbie to Sonos!! I have recently purchased the following components for my living room system:Arc Ultra 2 x Era 300 Sub 4I currently have the Arc Ultra in the centre, with both Era 300s beside it as my living room isn’t really set up to have rear speakers (photo below for reference).When setting up in the Sonos app, it doesn’t seem to let me add the Era 300s to the same “room” as the Arc Ultra unless I add the Era 300s as surround speakers. I currently have the Arc Ultra in “Living Room”, and the Era 300s (as a stereo pair) with the Sub 4 in “Living Room 2”.This is proving problematic because as a default, when I use my TV remote to adjust the volume it only controls the Arc Ultra, and I then have to use the app to adjust the volume of the Era 300s.What is the best way to set up my system? I have an Arc Ultra 2, 2 ERA300s and the new Sub4. i have the arc connected to my TV (Arc port) I connected the Sub and the ERA300s to my Arc as surround/sub.The sub drops out every 20-30 seconds, and the era 300’s randomly disconnect.  Sometimes one, sometimes the other, sometimes both, sometimes the surrounds and the sub all together. The only consistent product is the Arc Ultra 2. It’s not a duplicate IP issue (This response is ludicrous)I don’t get drops in streaming services in any other device on my network. My network works very well.   I see so many posts about this issue and no one seems to have resolved it. This is extremely frustrating. 

Hello,I have an L9 C9 tv connected via eARC HDMI to a Sonos Beam, which is paired with two Play:3s.The sound keeps cutting out randomly for several seconds. I’ve disconnected the tv and Beam from power for several minutes, removed all other HDMI cables, tried different HDMI cables (all are 2.1), changed settings on the TV and connected devices (PS5, FireStick, and Virgin Media 360). Please help! Hello everyone,I have this problem. I have an Arc, Sub 3 and 2 Era 300. sometimes it happens that when I turn off the TV in the evening, in the morning on both the ARC and Era 300 the green gray light is on and the system is on mute. This happens irregularly, so I don't know what the cause is. Sonos Arc is connected to the TV via HDMI, in addition, I have a TV set-top box, Apple TV and a Blu-ray player connected via HDMI. Hi,I've got a question about my Sonos Arc Ultra. I've noticed that when I turn off my TV at 11:00 pm, for example, my Arc Ultra is warm in the marked area in the morning. Is this normal? I ask because I understand that when I use my soundbar, it can be warm too. But when my TV is off and I don't play any music, should it stay cool? Thanks in advance for your help.   

Hi, following a broadband problem, I have reconnected my Sony soundbar to my Samsung TV. However, my remote control will only turn the volume up, not down. I can only turn it down from my Sonos App. Any suggestions as to how I can restore the sound control please?

Hi there,I’ve got a Sonos Amp connected to a computer. I use it more like a line-in and less like a TV. Ok, it’s almost completely unlike a TV, in fact. :)It’d be nice to treat this more like a line-in:Specify an auto-play volume level. Allow playback to other speakers while using the Amp to play something different. (naturally, some added delay is expected here, similar to the “Group Delay” which exists today.) Rename the input to something other than “TV” (this has been brought up a handful of times over the years) This one seems like it’d be an easy addition and would make the whole experience a lot less confusing.Naturally, I would not like the analog line-in feature of added latency***. 😉 I understand this is an atypical use-case for Sonos speakers, but wanted to bring it up anyway to see what others thought. (***) On the topic of latency, what’s the expected added latency for HDMI aud

I have read a lot of threads on here, but I have yet to see anyone with the Sonos in-wall fronts with In-ceiling 8 inch speakers. How would one compare the sound stage and depth between the two set ups. I really want to use the two in wall speakers as fronts due to aesthetics as well as the fact that I have a mental block telling me the in-walls will last much longer than a soundbar. However, everywhere I read, says the arc ultra is incredible. My question I guess is how much of a compromise is it to go with in-walls in front vs arc ultra? The system would be mixed use, as my living room is open floorplan and is really the only space in my house to entertain aside from the backyard. I want a great cinematic experience but even better music experience. I don’t want to invest in the wrong speakers and deal with headaches. Please help. 

Hi all, for several weeks now, when I attempt to group some Sonos speakers located in other rooms with the Beam soundbar that is playing TV audio, the group does not remain fixed, and the speakers are immediately separated. It always worked but now it does not. (Ungroup on auto play is turned off).Anybody has any clue? Thank you
