I have connected Beam to the HDMI provided and then to the HDMI e-arc on my Cinemax D2 projector when I go to app it is saying no arc detected why is this? Checked all connections and fine is beam not compatible?

How can I connect two play1’s and play at to get surround sound 

 Hi all - To anyone who can help - As Sonos Customer Service was very confused by my question… I have:Apple TV 4KSONOS ARC + SubPlaystation 5Optoma True 4K Projector(Sony STR_AN1000 Receiver that may or may not be useful)I ripped out my Bose System … My Projector doesn’t support eARC.  How can I connect all the devices for maximum Video and Audio output to the projector with volume control? (Not through the Sonos App only)It seems like I need an eARC connector like the Arcana Fire or similar, though Sonos said those devices are not supported by their software. Any help is very very much appreciated!!! I connected both Era 100 speakers to the Arc sound bar and the sub as a home theater system but there is no sound coming from the Era 100 speakers. Can someone please tell me how to fix this?

Given myself and tons of other people have issues with Samsung Tv’s and the Beam Gen 2, why in the world is there no reboot option on the sonos app?  It just blows my mind that Sonos makes us contact them and go through the same song and dance just to reboot the system so that the Beam reconnects to the Samsung tv.  My sonos and tv are mounted above my fireplace so a plug pull is not an option.  I mean there is no power on/off on the top of the sonos beam for crying out loud!  Please give us this option in the app!

Hi, I am looking to setup a new game room that will have 2 TVs and a single audio system.  I will primarily be using YouTube TV on the TVs but will also have gaming consoles.I would like to switch either gaming console to either TV.  I would like to switch the audio from either TV.My thinking is to use the eARC outputs from each TV and use them to control which source is active to that Sonos Arc. Then use a matrix (I think...) to drive which console targets which TV.Ideally everything allows for Atmos.I am still designing and would love any help validating the idea and recommandations.I think if I gave up having the gaming consoles able to display on either TV and just hook the XBOX up to TV1, etc, I could simplify and just do an HDMI switch between the to TV eARCs.  Any recommendations on compatible switches?Thank you!!   Moderator edit: combined posts

"I have a playbar and need to interface optical to hdmi to take advantage of the arc hdmi port. The new tv remote does not support volume control over a direct optical connection to the soundbar. Any recommendation on what optical to hdmi converter to use? We are talking audio only here. Thank you for your advice. 

Has anyone had any luck using the Ray with a TCL TV remote?  I have a TCL android TV which uses a RC901V FAR1 remote, I’m pretty sure it uses IR as I can see the light using a mobile camera and if I cover the end, the TV does not respond.  I can’t get the remote set up with the Ray however, running through the wizard it does not detect.  I have tried many times, sometimes close, others farther away and on the odd occasion it seems to detect something as it asks to press volume up three times (I presume to train).  It never completes and most of the time does not detect anything at all.  I have looked through TV settings and Ray settings but can’t find anything that might help.  Have also changed batteries and made sure light levels are low but nothing.  Anyone had same or similar experience?

I have owned my system (Arc, Sub(Gen 3) and One SLs) for just over a year. Up until a few weeks ago, everything was awesome, but now the sound coming from my Samsung QN85 keeps cutting our for a few seconds. The frequency at which it happens depends on the settings I’ve made in the “Sound” menu on the TV, i.e. enabling/disabling Atmos, etc. I’ve tried unplugging, made config changes recommended in similar threads, etc. but nothing seems to be helping. What changed to make this start occurring? Is there anything I can do to get it to work the way it did for the first 11 months?

Have a small ‘mancave’ with a gen 1 beam, sub mini and ones as rear surrounds. Is it worth upgrading to Era 100’s for the surrounds?  Would they make a noticeable difference? Thanks

Last night my Sub + One SL’s (x2) suddenly stopped working with my Arc. My system has been up and running without incident for 2+ years. No changes to my network or environment.Support articles I have tried and did nothing:Unable to connect to Sonos Reset your Sonos product Connect to a new router or WiFi network Changing SonosNet channels (all 3)Things I have tried that achieved mix results:Connecting the Arc via Ethernet disconnects the entire system and no device can connect to the internet (tried disabling WiFi in app with similar results) Reconnected Arc successfully to WiFi after enabling WiFi and disconnecting Ethernet Sonos app cannot “find” Sub or One SL’s, but Arc is available and connected to WiFi Connecting Sub via Ethernet reconnects entire system (including SL’s) with no input from me in the app (this is not ideal as I have to run a very long Ethernet cable) Disabled/Enabled Sub WiFi via app, disconnected Ethernet with same negative results when trying to connect to WiF

Hi! I recently bought a pair of Era 300’s to have Dolby Atmos compatible home theater. I added them to the system but I’m not sure if everything is okay.I have:-Beam (Gen 2)-Sub Mini-2x Era 300 I’m using an Apple TV 4K with LG OLED55CX3LA. The Apple TV is connected via HDMI to the LG TV, then the LG is connected to the Beam via HDMI as well with the eARC slot. The Beam and the Sub mini are using the SonosNet, the Eras are on the Wi-Fi.On the LG the HDMI input sound format is Bitstream, the output is set to passthrough, eARC is enabled, Digital TV sound is set to Auto. The Apple TV is set to Atmos. When I’m using the AppleMusic, I can get Dolby Atmos with the suitable tracks, but when I’m using a streaming service like Disney+, Netflix, SkyShowtime I only get Dolby Multichannel 5.1. I have the biggest subscription on Netflix. When I’m using the streaming services the Eras barely make some sound, when I turned the the lvl up in the Sonos App, the dialogues were barely understandable and

Projector is located at the rear of the room, Roku and connection to Sonos Arc at the front of the room with an Arcana switch in between but also at the front of the room. Would like to locate the gear elsewhere other than the front of the room next to the screen but need a cable longer than the one provided by Sonos - probably less than 15’. The folks at HD Fury recommend the Zeskit Maya for the video cable but don’t make Sonos audio cable recommendations. Thoughts from the Sonos Community?

Hi GuysI have an LG TV 55 inch with 3 HDMI connections plus a further HDMI ARC/eARC.The Sonos Beam Gen2 is connected eARC.For the moment everything is working as expected.[Netflix / Amazon / Disney+ are running from APPS on the TV] They each provided a version of surround sound✓I also have a Set Top Box for streaming channels. This box needs to be replaced as it's old now.I'm hoping to replace it with a FireStick 4K that accommodates a version of Dolby Atmos.I also want to connect a Blu-Ray player that takes advantage of the Sonos Dolby Atmos Sound.Can you advise me as to the best way to firstly connect the FireStick?Secondly can you also advise on collecting a Blu-Ray Player?I'm not a very technical guy!Kind RegardsPadraig 

I have a Gen 1 Beam + Gen 1 subwoofer connected to an older Vizio tv through the Toslink adapter to HDMI. It has worked fine for some years, but lately audio has some intermittent stuttering when we watch tv (via a Roku streaming stick). Unsure of the cause but wondering if somehow we had jerked the Toslink cable, I replaced the adapter, but I’m still seeing the same issue. The tv’s digital audio output is Stereo PCM. I’m worried that there’s damage to the tv’s Toslink port, but I can’t prove that. I hope you can help I have beam2 and two rear Era 100 all connected via WiFi.  Playing music is perfect but when watching tv through sky the sound on the system has a distortion to it, almost like a squelch to it.im really desperate and am thinking could it be my WiFi or is there something else I am missing?  Please help!

for some reason, my remote that controlled the volume on my Playbar and sub stop working. 

In the past few weeks the vocal track of Dolby Digital 5.1 sound has been only coming out (loudly) of the left rear surround speaker of a Sonos Arc System.  No voices come from the Sonos Arc, but it sounds like surround speaker sounds are coming from the Arc.  So shows in DD 5.1 are basically unlistenable.My system: 1) Sonos Arc/Sub/2 Sonos One surrounds, 2) LG CX  77 TV, 3) Apple TV 4K 3rd genI stumbled upon a fix, which is to toggle eARC off and back on again on the LG CX.  After than sound comes from the Arc, but eventually this has be redone (see below). Why is this happening and is there a better fix? This is a new problem that started a few weeks ago.Further details:To play DD 5.1, I have to explicitly set Apple TV’s audio format to DD 5.1 because when you set it to “Auto, Atmos Available” you get Multichannel PCM 5.1 which sounds bad.  This is a known limitation of Apple TV (https://en.community.sonos.com/home-theater-228993/apple-tv-unable-to-switch-dolby-formatting-with-arc-68

Hi, I have the Beam Gen 2. I’ve found that TV dialogue is easier to understand than without it. However, movie dialogue can be difficult to understand depending on the streaming service (Amazon, Netflix, etc) and the movie itself. I'm using the Speech Enhancement option. Not sure if it is helping.  I’m wondering what Sonos product I should add to enhance dialogue as this is my primary goal. My room is around 12 x 12. And the TV is the LG 55” OLED C2. Would love some suggestions on this, thanks! 

Hey, First post, so please be gentle…..So please let me paint the picture…We just moved into a house with a connect amp and 2 sonance ceiling speakers which i wanted to use as surrounds to the Playbar we mounted under the Samsung Frame TVCurrently, this is wired as follows:Ethernet to Connect Amp from RouterEthernet from Connect Amp to PlaybarFibre optic from Frame TV control box to Playbar.Current situation is the following:Playbar works with both TV and streaming music all ok.Surrounds work but only when streaming music, nothing when watching TV. I would really appreciate some help with this please. Thanks, Martin 

When I installed my new Sonos Beam gen 2 it ended up in a separate group (vardagsrum2) from my two existing Play3 speakers that are in the group "vardagsrum". I can activate both groups at the same tme when I want to listen to music in the Sonos app, but I have not found a way to activate all the speakers in the two groups at the same time when  I use the TV. How can  I fix this annoying problem? I seem to be getting the same problem with arplay2 (works only with the beam).

My current Sonos theater set up is - ArcEra 300 surroundsSub Gen 1 My question is this- is there any real need/reason to upgrade to Sub Gen 3?   

Ok I am having a weird issue here.  I have a sonos arc, sub, and amp. Sonos arc and sub are connected via wifi.  I have an amp located the media closet that is hard wired to my network and it’s connected to in ceiling speakers When I try to use the amp as surround, it doesn’t not work.  I tried changing music to full and increasing the volume but no luck. If I remove the amp as surrounds, I can easily connect to it and play music, no issue. I have tried to swap the amp, swap the arc, and even restart the network multiple times but no luck  Any idea whats going on and how to fix this?

So sound is cutting in and out constanly while streaming music or watching tv. The system has been in place for years with no changes.The internet is strong and stable. Sonos support was contacted months ago when the problem first started, they ran diagnostics and found no issues, but suggested a new device nearby could be causing interferance with the net work.There are no new devices nearby, i live on a rural propery with no other houses within 150m. A factory reset of all compents fixed the problem last time, but a few months later its back! Would anyone have an idea of what the issue could be?Or am i destined to factory reset every now and again!
