I was excited to see integration with Google assistant, however when I try to add sonos, the following happens: 1) I go to voice services and add Google Assistant 2) this takes me to the Google screen where it authenticates me using the same email address that's on my sonos account 3) this then redirects me to the sonos authentication 4) after authenticating on sonos, it says I need to register my speakers to my account, so I click Go to Sonos App, and the process starts all over again.
Sonos's integration of Google Assistant is very very poor. I'm currently having the following problems, all of which are very basic. Can't shuffle music Can't voice match (e.g. to put phone on Do Not Disturb) Can't do basic things until you turn off Voice Activity Can't turn down Assistant's very loud voice Can't set alarms (they just disappear) And no Chromecast! This is a shameful stain on Sonos's reputation.
How do I get my beam to play music that I own and is saved on my phone with a voice command? When I ask it to pay anything, it says I don't have a subscription so Google Play Music. GPM is my default music service since all my music is uploaded into that library. I can cast it to the Beam, but it wont play anything I ask it to.
I recently switched my Sonos One from Alexa to Google Assistant, and it seems to mostly work for everything but the one thing I need a Sonos speaker for: playing music. Whenever I ask the assistant to play an album, all I get in reply is "Sorry, it looks like the requested content isn't currently available on Google Play Music". I'm able to play radio stations on GPM just fine; it seems to only be an issue playing albums or songs. I'm able to play my albums via GPM from the So os app as well, just not using voice control. I also can't play albums to my Sonos speaker from the Google Assistant on my phone; same error message. I have a Google Play Music premium account, and I've checked that Sonos and Google Assistant are using the same Google account. I'm not sure what else to try, so any help would be appreciated.
I was previously using Alexa, but have switched to Google Assistant now I've got an Android. The sensitivity of waking Google with "Ok Google" is much lower than when using Alexa - when can this be fixed? Also, in my case I have two sonos ones as rear speakers, with amp as front two with sub, when using Alexa both rear ones would listen, now only the rear left?????
Current setup is a Google Home Mini with a Sonos Play 1 in the same room, all set up and working so far. There are two issues though:

Whenever giving a command to the Mini, there is no ducking happening on the Sonos if it is playing music at the time. So if the music is a bit louder, the Mini has a really hard time understanding me or even triggering.
The voice feedback to commands (e.g. "How is the weather going to be tomorrow?") is always output on the Mini itself instead of the Sonos. It would be much more convenient to be able to use the better speaker instead of the built-in one.
I tried exactly the same with a Echo 2nd gen. and at least the ducking is working fine there. The voice responses come back through the Echo too sadly - same as with the Home Mini as described above. Questions are - obviously - : Is there any way to achieve the same ducking functionality when issuing commands to the Google device as with the Echo? Is there a way to route the voi
Play music from the Sonos App to GH speakers Hello! Yesterday i completed the integration with Google Home and it works well but i can't find a way to use to Sonos app to play music to the Google Home speakers i have(GH Max and mini). Did I miss something in the setup process or is the feature to play music to GH speakers from the Sonos app not there? Sorry for the headline in swedish, thought it would be posted in the swedish form and it seems I cant edit it
Hi, As a NUB SONOS (SYMFONISK by IKEA) owner i was wondering why we don't have Google Assistant support in Denmark yet. In the SONOS APP you advertise, how to setup Google Assistant and Alexa (Danish Language) but when I enter it says the Country is not yet supported. Stange to advertise in a local language for a service that is not supported. Simple question what is ETA for Google Assistant in Denmark?

Plenty of help on the web to connect to Apple Music but i dont want to do that, i am playing music from my Mac via Sonos Controller but i cant work out how to set Assistant to use that music library, it wants a "service" but music library on a computer doesn't seem to be a "service". For "music services" within assistant i have "no default" set since its not you tube or google play, have i missed some settings or is this just not possible? Thanks
Starting to get annoyed... Purchased 2 google minis and a Sonos One to go with my 4 play ones, play bar and bass. Two of the play ones are set up surround sound with the bar.

I have found it is better to start music with the Sonos app. When I ask google to play pandora, it plays music, but I can't say play pandora thumprint. Funny thing is, I can say hey google, stop music, even though I have started it through sonos app. You can also say hey google, skip song.
Someone suggested we upload our saved music to Google PLay. My songs on my computer won't upload. Did some searching, said to use the Music Manager in google, see why they won't upload. Can't get Music Manager to work. Some DLL error. Googled that. Found I should download something from Microsoft from 2013. I could not do that.
If I do say Hey Google, play music from Pandora, how do I see what station is playing? How can I easily change the station?
Casting - when I want to cast, I click t
Hello. I am trying to sync my wife's voice with sonos so she can play sonos via voice control on Google assistant. I can do this on my device but she cannot. The Sonos app on her phone is logging into my Sonos account and therefore picks up my voice control not hers. Is there a way to make this work, so she can control Sonos with her voice? Thanks
I had purchased my Sonos set up from 2018 onwards when it was advertised as speakers that would come with Google Assistant. After a long wait, Sonos became GA-capable. Does anyone know when Sonos will become GA-capable in Asia. Looking at the list of countries for Alexa, I am dismayed that there does not seem to be any further development for Alexa in Asia. Would the same happen to GA in Asia too?
I have 5 Google home mini. One for every room I have a Sonos connect amp speaker (speakers in the sealing, and the amp's in my AV room). So. In my bathroom for example, i tell Google "Hi Google. Play some music from my playlist in the bathroom". Then the music starts playing from the mini... My sonos speaker is called "bathroom" and the mini is called "mini 2". And yes. I have done the setup both in home and sonos app. I
I've been using Sonos with Google Assistant since it first became available, but over the last several days there's a new problem: Google Assistant frequently forgets what room my Sonos One stereo pair is in, so when I say "Hey Google, turn on the light" I get the surprising and annoying response "Ok, turning on 8 lights" (that's a stupid bug on Google's part - there's no way that "the light" should ever be interpreted as "all lights" if it doesn't know what room it's in, but leaving that aside as a Google bug...) When I check the Google Home app, I see my Sonos speaker pair in the correct room. A couple of times the problem fixed itself spontaneously after a while. A couple of times I was able to fix it manually by removing the Sonos speaker pair from the room and re-adding it. And a couple of times, like today, that didn't work because Google Home stubbornly says "There was a problem communicating with Google" whenever I try to touch the Sonos speaker room assignment (and it only af
Is it possible to disable the Google Assistant Voice control and keep the linked status in google home? I want to continue to control the Sonos Beams but use my Google Nest Hubs for voice commands. My wife misses having her own personal assistant settings and assistant voice. Right now I have the mics turned off as a work around. I am also using airplay more and more 2 group my Sonos system for music since that feature is not available yet from google. On a side note just having the flexibility to use both Google and Apple are why I use and enjoy my Sonos system every day. Thanks
Hi I’ve bought a Sonos Connect:amp and some B&W loudspeakers (ceiling) for my new kitchen. I read somewhere that I had to use a Chromecast Audio unit to play music through voicecommands (Google mini) I can play music through the Sonos amp by choosing "Kitchen-cast" but not through chromecast audio. No sound. How do I solve this? Is there any setting I must do in the Sonos app? Has anyone got this to work? Thanks.
Hey guys, I love the Google assistant integration with my Sonos! But i have 9 Sonos speakers of which only 1 Sonos One speaker. Voice control works perfect, but i was wondering, is there a way to push the playback of Google assistant to all or to more than only my 1 Sonos ONE speaker? It would be cool if I can push Google's Assistant voice to all my Sonos speakers in my dining room but I have clue if that's possible? thnx !
