I had long ago set up two Sonos households with the same email, and they have the same account number. (They are located on different physical networks). This used to be allowed, but causes problems these days (eg Alexa).Today, it is causing me problems, as I moved my Roam and Move to one of these households (from another household) and now they refuse to Register (due to the upnpovertls quarantine problem). Additionally, the Privacy & Security settings show wrong, and do not let me change Authorization, UPNP and Guest options.I tried changing the email address from my phone, thinking this might “split” my account, but it has made zero difference to the app, and the devices still refuse to register. Can anyone here help me? I’m not confident that regular support will even understand if I call in, this is hardly a mainline scenario. I need a “fresh” Sonos account created and associated with my existing devices/household on a fresh email. I do not want to factory reset them all and st
Hi All, Last week I received a Refurbished Sub Mini from Sonos (ordered directly from Sonos). This was added to my current Sonos Beam 2 + 2x Sonos Era 100s setup.Within minutes of getting it all configured, I noticed a deep popping noise coming from the Sub. This occurs randomly (I have got a couple of videos), but I’d say on average once every 5 minutes. It doesn’t seem to correlate to any particular music or sound and occurs via TV connection, AirPlay and even when the Sub is not playing any sound (but still connected and on). I have done all the usual troubleshooting attempts, such as;Changing Network ChannelDisabling 5GHZ on the router (using only 2.4GHZ)Hard wired the Sonos Beam 2 via ethernet to ensure the Beam and Sub are connected via SonosNet (WM0)Turned off multiple times via plugRemoved from Sonos app and reinstalledChanged Sub placementReset all EQ setting etc Despite trying all of the above, the annoying popping noise continues. Before I return the Sub Mini, are there any f
I picked up a Play:1 at Goodwill for the low price of $20 (kind of a steal noting how much they go for online), but if the speaker is above 45% volume on most songs, it loses bass and goes completely flat. I'm guessing that the speaker is worn out from age, so what's some recommended speakers to take it's place, or repair options?
Hi all,Sorry if this topic has been covered already but I’m getting so many conflicting instructions and advice and nothing has worked or been clear. I recently bought a Samsung S90F and wanted to connect it up to my existing Sonos Playbar via Optical cable - sound comes through on all devices but I can’t change the volume or mute. I’ve tried setting the Sonos up on the TV as a Home Theatre and assigning it as the output, with the TV sound also as Optical - still no success. I’ve gone through the Sonos App to add my remote control using their instructions but it never recognises the remote (its that one that uses solar to charge). I’ve read multiple conflicting articles on the remote being RF and Bluetooth to it being IR and RF and with the Playbar being IR only, perhaps this could be the issue. I appreciate any suggestions on whether this connection is possible and if so, how? Am I doing something wrong, missing a step or need an addition “thing” to make it work. Thanks in advance
How can I connect Spotify to my Sonos speaker? Moderator Edit: Corrected Sonus to Sonos
Airfoil on my Mac still connects to my Move 2, but the latter does not play any sound. Is this a known issue? (Firmware?) Can I do anything about it? Other sources get played normally.
I have an issue with my Move 2 when listening to audio from my Apple TV 4K. The issue is a loud pop or click sound that occurs randomly and inconsistently. I was originally told by Sonos technical support to restart my Move 2 which helps for awhile. This issue is getting worse requiring more Move 2 restarts. I was later told by Sonos Technical support that playing audio from Apple TV is not supported on Move 2. Is this indeed the case?
Windows app can’t access Spotify or Amazon music - problem connecting. Any attempt to manage music services gives an error saying there is no internet connection and then the app just hangs. It has to be killed with windows task manager.FYI Mobile Sonos app on the same system works fine and both music services are ok from there - only the desktop app is failing.
Hi all - I have a current 5.1 set up in the family room (sorta)Denon 5.2 Ch Receiver PSB bookshelf speakers x2 In ceiling speakers x2 No sub (need to drill through cabinetry) No centre channel speaker In my equipment cabinet I have a Sonos AMP which is currently being used to power my outdoor deck speakers I also have 9 other Sonos powered zones through my house via AMP or Connect:AMPSo, I really need to add a centre channel and sub to this set up. iPhone 16pro. IOS and Sonos app updates and reset. App crashes on phone and iPad when I try to set location
Changed WiFi router and although it converses with Alexa and BBC Sounds, the request never gets passed through to the server.
92.0-70280In this update:Bug fixes and improved performance. 91.0-70011In this update:Bug fixes and improved performance. I hate this type of release notes. You can return to meaningful release notes?
I have posted before that I have a Gen 1 Play 5 on S1 and an Arc on S2. Each used a separate account and network. Once I have done resets, S1 will play for a few days it then the "Sonos fond Connect" message comes up and my Play 5 does not get to play music. This is so frustrating and should be fixed by a line of code. If S1 is connected to Play 5 Hen1, then do not try to connect to S2. Surely someone at Sonos can ome up with a solution to this recurring problem. Yes, I know they would prefer me to buy something new, but based on this fiasco, it wouldn't be Sonos. The Play 5 is a great speaker. The support is rubbish.
Sorry of if I am going over something previously asked but can’t find the answer I am looking for.i am looking to link up a turntable to my Sonos Arc Ultra.ideally a Pro-Ject Debut, T1 or T2 I am a general listener not looking for perfection but I have read several reviews saying the port is unstable, disconnects and the sound is really flat?I also read a lot about a bad delay? should I buy a turntable with inbuilt phono ?Should I buy Sonos AMP or Port ?
As my new SONOS Port won't play M4a or 24bit wav files I(I want play my Chesky hires music files), what alternatives do I have? Other brands?I’ve tried converting them to 16bit wav files, but still won’t play on SONOS. Audacity won’t open them, but $500 laptop plays them fine with Foobar natively! Tried converting them to WAV16bit in Foobar, but they still won’t play. Only way I can get then to play is converting to mp3.
My left surround is 2 feet away and my right is more than 10 feet away. After doing Trueplay, both surrounds show more than 10 feet away. Any idea why the surround distance isn’t accurate when doing Trueplay tuning on iPhone?
The alarms were fixed after the app upgrade debacle in 2024, until the latest upstage this week when they've been removed again! (May 2025).The alarm option is still shown in the app but all previously saved alarms have disappeared and you can't save any new alarms you try to create.Even worse, the existing alarms are still in the system somewhere as they still play but there's no way to see, edit, or stop them!!Sonos, please re-fix the alarms! Phantom alarms that still play but we can't edit are a disaster!
Well the Sonos saga continues. I lost Alexa connectivity a week ago. Since then I've changed broadband provider and router. The usual Sonos nightmare began. Difficulty connecting Sonos One to the new router, 1 still won't connect.Alexa connects, but with no functionality. Won't play radio or music and showing off-line in Alexa app.Why is Sonos such a nightmare to do anything with. I may give up and by a few Alexas and save the hassle.Any ideas????
Play 3 and Play 1 distorted sound is there anything that can be done
Overall, I'm happy with this portable speaker. It's mainly kept in my bedroom, though I also take it to the kitchen or to another room when I'm working. It's also come with me to several parties, where we've enjoyed it until the battery ran out, which, as you can imagine, is nowhere near the advertised 24 hours. However, I have to say it performed admirably. At maximum volume almost constantly, it died after 7 hours. It's true that I had TruePlay enabled; perhaps without it, it would have lasted a bit longer. With occasional daily use, it lasts more than a week. It's much better with the "battery saver" setting enabled; this way, it only activates when you press the power button. Otherwise, many times when I used the Sonos app with the Arc in the living room, the speaker would turn on and stay on. Although some people might prefer this behavior, or others might keep it plugged into the charger all the time. I usually keep mine unplugged. From the first time I used it, I was pleasantly su
Bravia A95L Sonos Arc Ultra (plugged in to eArc port) 2x Sonos Era 300s as rear left and right Sonos Sub AppleTV 4k & PS5 For the past year I’ve been having this weird issue after waking my TV and playing content. The only audio I'd hear would be coming from the Arc, but it's just the rear channels (as if they're replacing the center and front channels normally outputting from the soundbar). If I switch the audio output to TV Speakers on the A95L, the screen goes black for a couple seconds, comes back, weirdly is still set to Audio System for output (or possibly switched back to it automatically), and the issue is gone. This happens every time I wake up my TV and also happens with my PS5, so it’s clearly an issue between Sonos and Sony.I've tried power cycling TV, ATV, and all Sonos products, but that didn't help. I’ve tried different cables as well as resetting the HDMI handshake by plugging things in one at a time.
Do we know when the Alexa Voice Control Playback failure ticket will be resolved? 9 days and counting.
I'm choosing rear speakers for my Beam (Gen 2). I have two questions:1. Can I adjust the bass and treble levels (equalizer function) on the Era 100 or One SL while they're paired with the Beam?2. I know the differences between the One SL and Era 100 are Alexa smart speaker functionality and size. Are there other differences? Do you know about any differences in sound quality? Thanks.
After building a queue , I would like to save it for future use as playlist - this is still possible in the desktop app - but it’s not possible in the mobile app - seems like a bad product decision - generally speaking mobile app is still lacking many features - and the volume management is still terrible also the basic stability and connectivity are lacking - but here I want to focus on Queue to Playlist functionality which is so basic I would appreciate to know when you expect to add it back
From yestwrday my S1 system refuses to play soundcloud songs and say that all are encoded inccorrctly. Anyone else experiencing this? Last time I had trouble with Soundcloud service it was a failure with the plugin.. and was fixed centrally. All other services are working fine! Thanks in advance! Are
