Hi everyone,

I can’t find the way to have two different systems on my house. I’ve read some posts, buy they are not exactly what i Want to do.

I want a System A with a Play 1 and a Play 5 with a turntable, they are streaming from a NAS A.

I want a System B with several Connect and Amp, they are streaming from a NAS B.

Today, everything is in the App, but I want to isolate the system A to it’s own phone App et system B too.

What is the correct way to do it ? Create a second account with another email ? Using another wifi network ?

I’m lost.

Thanks in adavnce

Jerome

No, no, i’m not overthinking for that, maybe for other things…

I would like to separate two systems so that users of system A cannot see the speakers and library of system B, and vice versa, but on the same wifi ssid…

Move one system to a new VLAN, and isolate it from the default VLAN. You’ll need to also move the device running the app to the same VLAN as well.

The easier way would be to have two subnets, each with their own SSID, but for some reason you want a single SSID.

Reading a bit more, it might be less aggravation to put each Sonos Household on a different LAN and SSID.

Sonos doesn't communicate across different LANs so that would give you the isolation you want but would require the controller(s) to connect to the proper LAN / SSID to control either system.

You seem to be over thinking this. Why two systems? A single sonos system can access up to 14? external shares eg NAS.
