Has anyone else noticed that the headphones sound bad when you turn off ANC? The EQ changes. I sometimes turn it off to make the battery last longer, but the sound eventually becomes unbearable.
Sonos Amp + REL T/9x – two standby issuesI’m using the current Sonos Amp (125 W/channel) with a REL T/9x.I’m experiencing two separate problems that seem to be related to the Sonos Amp going into standby / the way the subwoofer signal is handled.1. LFE / RCA connectionWhen using the RCA SUB OUT from the Sonos Amp to the REL LFE input: With music, the REL wakes up normally even at relatively low volume. With TV, the REL often stays in standby at the same listening volume. I have to increase the volume considerably before the REL wakes up. Once it wakes up, it works normally. This makes me wonder whether the Sonos Amp's subwoofer output level is different during TV playback or is simply too low at low listening levels to reliably trigger the REL's auto-wake threshold.2. High-level connectionThere is another issue when using the REL high-level connection: after the Sonos Amp has been idle/in standby for around 2 minutes, the REL produces a fairly loud thump/pop when the system chang
New Sonos ERA 100 units. Linksys mesh network and 450Mb internet. Sonos units via 5gHz to either main node or child node.Absolute Radio played either by Alexa (worse results somehow) or Sonos assistants. Service starts and then will randomly drop for 5-10 seconds, or give up entirely. Using the Sonos VA, an advert will be inserted into the dropped stream.Sonos support say that there is no issue with my network and that it must be Rayo dropping the stream - but if so, how come others haven’t mentioned it.Any suggestions gratefully received!
Pretend I don’t know what “bi-directional” or any other IT term means. How do I use my Sonos soundbar which only has an HDMI with my projector that only has an Audio 3.5 jack? Prefer brevity, exact product names or links. Explaining anything IT related isn’t helpful.
Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can clarify the connectivity/usage of the Era 100s for my specific setup before I buy them.I currently have a Sonos Beam Gen 2 and I’m considering buying 2 × Era 100s as surrounds. My main question is about what happens when I want to use the system for music rather than TV.My ideal setup/use case is:TV: Beam Gen 2 + 2 × Era 100s working together as a normal surround setup. iPhone: I’d like to play music from my iPhone and have the Beam + both Era 100s play together. Turntable: I have an Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT, and I’d like to connect it via Bluetooth and have the Beam + both Era 100s play the turntable audio together. Ideally, I don’t want to repeatedly remove/unpair the Era 100s as surrounds just to listen to music. So, specifically:If the 2 × Era 100s are permanently configured as surrounds with the Beam, can I still use an Era 100’s Bluetooth input and have the Bluetooth audio play through all three speakers? Can the same setup work with my AT-LP60X
It was first reportet 9 (nine!) years ago, and I found another topic that was about a year old.NOTHING has happend. It seems to me to be a rather simple thing to correct; ORDER BY <something> - there must be some kind of ordering since the order of the artists is the data/time they were put on the list. Else the order would be random each time you open the list in Sonos, and it’s not.WHEN wil this issue be solved? It’s soooo annoying.Just do it!
The RP content service works but does not show playing track artwork. Just the generic logo for the main mix, for example. However, if I remove the service while still listening the artwork will show up and stay working until such time as I quit to listen to something else.Obviously I can’t then return to RP because the service isn’t installed. So, reinstall the service and the problem returns. It doesn’t matter whether I login (authorise) the RP service anonymously or use my RP login. This feels like a bug. Any tips? I raised a case with Sonos and sent diagnostics but no responses. Thanks all. I’m bored of this view…
I see someone posted on this group that WPFW 89.3 Pacifica Jazz & Justice does not play over Sonos speakers. I continue to have this problem despite trying the usual suspect- deleting as favorite, searching the radio services, etc. hitting to arrow play just brings up an error message almost instantly. Trying to play from AirPlay Apple device but not working yet. This started about a year ago when a mouse somehow destroyed the station transmitter causing emergency repairs, but doesn’t make sense to think this would cut the stream. I have contacted the station, but no response. Thinking of maybe adding something like a Trivoli table radio to connect to a speaker, but this sounds a little expensive for just one station.
I have a 2015 legacy system that was stored for 10 years while I travelled overseas for work. I have subsequently returned and tried to set up my Playbar, I have anew network as you would expect. The Playbar has been factory reset and connected to the power and router, the router is connected via cat6 Ethernet cable. I can see the unit on my network however not on my phone or via the S1 or S2 app. Any suggestions how I can resolve this as I have a number of Play 1 and Sub to connect too. I already have a Move (1) connected
Anything I've tried so but let amazon music work on my sonos app. I've reset wifi, router, removed amazon and added, reauthorized, cleared cache on sonos and amazon, forced stop and opened break up and so days Amazon Music connection lost. I can use any other services just fine. This is either strictly an amazon issue ir sonos app connecting to it. This just started a few days ago.
Bonjour,Je ne parviens pas a reconnecter mes 2 player 5 gen1 derrière une Freebox ultra.J'ai réussi à connecter le bridge, les 2 player sont détectés mais la procédure se termine avant la fin!!!Que faire?
I have a Rega P1 Plus turntable output through a switch (also connected to a CD player) into my Sonos Five. The turntable has a preamp built in (no real idea what that means) so I have connected everything instructions say I should connect. The output does not seem to be particularly crisp (making all my LPs sounding slightly muffled). I thought it was may be the quality of LPs these days but all new vinyl has the same sound quality so it can’t be the LPs. I’ve tried reviewing the compression settings in the Sonos app and replaced the line in cable from the switch to the speaker as this had some damage. Still the same sense that the sound quality still isn’t there. Any help from others who have had similar problems and solved them would be great.
Is it possible to play audio from my phone on the Sonos system?
Loving the new ‘tabbed navigation’ interface beta -- but the app constantly automatically selecting first room in my house in alphabetical order driving me crazy… really don’t want to have to change a room name to ‘zBasement’ : PAnyone else experiencing this?
I have a Sony Bravia 6 with arc hdmi connection and a Sonos ultra soundbar with sub and era 300. When I launch a film from Apple TV i am in audio stereo pcm and not 5.1Is there any solution ?
why are there multiple system capabilities? How do you remove devices off a system
When listing to a station like 90’s Radio i get German voice over for some announcements. Is this fixed or can the region be changed to receive the English version.
My Sirius XM live channels are not appearing in the APP, only channel 1-31, I tried re-authorizing and logging in and out, all system updates complete.
Hi guys, Ive got a beam gen 2 with mini sub. Ive also got a era 300 and a move two. Also Sony bravia 5 Up till yesterday ive been able to watch and listen to YouTube music rich and seamless through all speakers just like I can with Spotify or sonos music. I should note that when watching Netflix or streaming sports through sky(nz) the era 300 and move will often drop out, hugely annoying- i was told the move wasn't setup for that kind of listening so I should buy the era 300. New speaker no improvement. I think a fix for this is get another era 300 and setup sonos home audio through both 300s, but the space isnt that big and the speaker cost nearly $900. But I digress Right now i can only watch and listen to YouTube through the beam and connected sub. When I check the era 300 and/or move box the sound coming through is atrocious. The 300 and move sound great on Spotify etc I know it can be done because I was doing it last week. So frustrating But not as frustrating as walking round
Why are my surround speakers not connected to Bluetooth?
I can’t get the S1 app to work at all. It either fails at every screen, like trying to update my Sonos Play 5 or just shows a blank screen when I go to the browse or my Sonos screens. It’s really frustrating paying so much money for these and now not being able to use them because they’ve aged out. Maybe it’s just me but this app is junk.
Hi all, I’m trying to set up a sonos roam sl but nothing seems to work. It doesn’t respond at all (even when pressing the power button for 15+ seconds) at all after disconnecting from the charger after charging for an hour (with the correct charger). When plugging in, the battery light quickly flashes red then the status light flickers white and then stays solid white. When opening the sonos app, to finalize the setup it says to update the speaker but whenever I try, I get a 1016 error. When clicking on how to fix, it says to disconnect the speaker and factory reset but then the previous problem comes up as nothing happens when I disconnect the charger. Also no noise comes out of the speaker at all when I press any buttons. What do I do?
I’ve just changed from a 2015 Macbook Pro to a Macbook Neo and can’t for the life of me get my Music Library added. My Sonos products 2 x Play1 are old. I’ve made sure the library file is shared and SMB file sharing is on (is this correct for older Sonos kit?). The library shows as a shared file in Finder.I get two errors depending on what I try; one saying file is no longer available (most commonly) and the other access denied, check userid and password. The file name I’m pointing to is //computer name/Music where computer name is my one.I’ve tried the desktop and an iphone to add the library. When entering userid I’ve used the apple login userid and password of the laptop. Also I’ve been selecting ‘Networked Device’ which I believe is correct. If this isn’t due to a technology divide due to a new laptop and old Sonos kit, it’s probably a very simple fix….let’s hope it’s the latter.
I’ve had my Arc Ultra for a couple months and it’s been great. I have a Panasonic DP-UB820-K Blu-Ray player and an LG OLED65CXPUA TV.Recently, we watched a Hunger Games Blu-Ray and the only audio soundtrack in English was 7.1 DTS HD. I assumed the Arc would appropriately downmix or convert this and was surprised to see that the Sonos app showed we were getting “Stereo PCM” instead. I attempted to Google around to find a solution, but I found all sorts of mixed messages ranging from “the Arc doesn’t support DTS” to “the Panasonic is the problem, try a Sony”. All the TV and Panasonic settings that were suggested to change were either already set as suggested, or had no effect (including trying my old Sony 4K player). Hoping someone can give me some better answers here. Thanks!
After a long time with no particular issues, I changed access point (a router in AP mode to which an Era 100 and Pixel phone both connect) to a newer tri-band model. The speaker remained on 5GHz but the phone is WIFI 6E capable which can offer 2x speed - although it isn’t great at detecting the 6GHz network SSID.There are two configs - my usual which is separate SSIDs for each band or a more common router setup of a single SSID for multiple bands.I switched to the 2nd scheme as it’s possible for a device to connect quickly on 5GHz and then switch over to 6GHz. But each time it switched the Sonos mobile app would no longer see the speaker for some reason. These are just WiFi bands - the router and network remain common.Getting back on to 5GHz with single SSID instantly resolved it until the phone switched to 6GHz again, and having separate SSIDs with the Sonos on one and the phone on the other also works fine - so that’s what I’ve gone back to.Possibilities include the router, android /
