After a long time with no particular issues, I changed access point (a router in AP mode to which an Era 100 and Pixel phone both connect) to a newer tri-band model. The speaker remained on 5GHz but the phone is WIFI 6E capable which can offer 2x speed - although it isn’t great at detecting the 6GHz network SSID.There are two configs - my usual which is separate SSIDs for each band or a more common router setup of a single SSID for multiple bands.I switched to the 2nd scheme as it’s possible for a device to connect quickly on 5GHz and then switch over to 6GHz. But each time it switched the Sonos mobile app would no longer see the speaker for some reason. These are just WiFi bands - the router and network remain common.Getting back on to 5GHz with single SSID instantly resolved it until the phone switched to 6GHz again, and having separate SSIDs with the Sonos on one and the phone on the other also works fine - so that’s what I’ve gone back to.Possibilities include the router, android /
Hi I have S1 products and since changing my WiFi I have not been able to connect to my S1 Play 5. When I try to use the S1 app to find it I get stuck in the loop where it tells me the app must be updated but then updates to the S2 app which is not compatible with my products.i have tried the solution of deleting and re-downloading the s1 app - this has not solved the problem. what else can I do as I can’t use my main speaker? thanks
Why can I not set up Alexa on my era 100, it won't let me add the voice assistant ...works fine on Sonos one
Before I take the plunge with Sonos tech support, can anyone offer advice re. why my Sonos app for the iPhone 16 will no longer allow input to play music from the Music Library stored on my PC? It appears I can select and play music from my library through the Sonos web app but not from my phone. I can stream content from the app through my Sonos speakers but the library won't play from the app even though it sees all content on my phone.I realise that the adoption of SMBv3 might be responsible for this issue. I have a huge library of music on iTunes and the ability to play that directly, vs. streaming, through Sonos speakers was the main reason I invested in Sonos hardware in the first place, several years ago. I suspect Sonos does not care about this failure; there’s no money for them in direct network sharing. A Wifi expert has often urged me to get Apple Music, which can reproduce my library for streaming but I’d then have to cancel Spotify, on which I have built many playlists
Hi, I’m using a Sonos Beam Gen 2 connected to the HDMI 1 eARC port on an Alienware AW3225QF monitor. My PC is connected via DisplayPort and my PS5 Pro via HDMI 2.The Beam works correctly once connected and audio passes through fine, but since enabling HDMI CEC/eARC, I’ve had a recurring issue where the monitor fails to wake after being left in standby. The monitor power LED stays on, but the screen is completely black and even the monitor’s own OSD/joystick menu won’t appear. The only way to recover it is to disconnect the monitor from power and all cables, fully discharge it, then reconnect everything.I’ve updated the AW3225QF from M2B106 to M2B110, factory reset it, enabled DDC/CI and HDMI CEC, and I’m using the HDMI cable supplied with the Beam. Before adding the Beam/eARC setup, I used the monitor for around a year without this issue. With the Beam and PS5 disconnected and the PC running over DisplayPort only, the monitor enters standby and wakes normally.Has anyone used a Beam Gen 2
I’m having an ongoing HDMI/eARC issue with my TCL C655, Apple TV 4K and Sonos Beam (Gen 2).The setup is:● TCL C655/Q651G TV● Apple TV 4K connected directly to the TV● Sonos Beam 2 connected to the TV’s eARC port● HDMI-CEC and eARC enabledThe main problem is that the Apple TV does not consistently negotiate the correct audio format with the TV/Sonos.With Pass Through, Dolby Atmos sometimes disappears completely from the Apple TV audio settings. After restarting or changing settings, Atmos may come back. With Auto, Atmos is detected, but regular 5.1 content from apps such as Disney+ can sometimes be sent to the Sonos as Stereo PCM instead of Dolby Digital 5.1.I also occasionally get audio interference/static noises when navigating the Apple TV menus, which makes me suspect an HDMI/eARC handshake or compatibility issue.Everything works correctly at times, but the behavior is inconsistent and seems to be related to the TCL rather than the Apple TV or Sonos.Has anyone experienced the same is
My playbase lost connectivity. It is connected via ethernet. Initially I thought the problem was a loose ethernet cable, but after swapping the cable and verifying that the cable was connected to our network properly, I still could not get it to connect. I then performed a factory reset, but the playbase did not appear in my sonos ap as waiting to be connected. I reset again, and still everytime I went through the ‘add speaker or component’ process in the ap, no new speaker was found. I’ve tried it with the ethernet cable connected and un-connected. What further steps could I try before concluding that the playbase is broken? Thanks.
My Boost no longer appears in the speaker list or room list, which looks like the norm from other comments. It shows in the About list. I tried changing the Sonos channel, but it still doesn’t show. How do I connect it so it works if it doesn’t show up as a room?
Helloreaching out for help with issue with connecting my two ERA300’s to a new 5G router from THREE. I have sent off as a last resort for an adapter to connect my router with and ethernet cable to my speaker one at a time do you think this will resolve the issue ?
Hello. I have a pair of Play1 speakers set up as a stereo pair in our kitchen and the speakers keep on disconnecting. I have to unplug the speakers, wait about 10 seconds, and plug the speakers back in. The NEEDS ATTENTION and NOT CONNECTED disappear after a few moments and the sound returns until the speakers disconnect again. I also have a pair of Era100 speakers and they don’t have this issue. I have tried everything as recommended in the troubleshooting articles but nothing seems to work. We have an ARC SL in the family room which is next to the kitchen.I also have a Netgear extender in our home. The extender is at least 30 feet away from the Play1s. I have read in the articles that an extender could cause the connection issues. Could this be the case?I hope all the foregoing makes sense. Thank you very much for your assistance! I have been a Sonos customer for a long time and I am very satisfied with the products in our home for a long time.
I bit the bullet and did the Sonos update after probably two years. System seems fine . I did notice that one of my subs shows version 17.2.6 and all my other 13 speakers show version 18.6. Normal or does it need to be matched up and if so, how? Thanks
I have a Sonos Roam 2, and for the past two days I haven’t been able to connect it to my Apple devices via AirPlay. The issue occurs both at my office and at home. I have already tried everything I can think of, but the speaker does not appear in the AirPlay device list. The Roam 2 is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as my Apple devices.Bluetooth works perfectly, and the Sonos app also works without any issues. The only problem is connecting the speaker via AirPlay. At home, I have other devices connected through AirPlay, and they work without any problems, so the issue seems to be specifically with the Roam 2.Could you please help me troubleshoot and resolve this issue
I am long time Sonos user of 25+ year, when Sonos first came out with their products, including the CR-100 remote control. I use my Sonos system largely through a Crestron back end and a Josh front end for voice control. I was having some problems and had to access the Sonos app on my iPhone (for the first time in over a years, when I installed the V4 subs) and was appalled at how absolutely impossible it is to navigate and use the new supposedly improved iOS app. The CR-100 of 25 years ago was light years better than this!In the hope that my macOS and Windows versions of the app would offer some relief, I re-installed old versions that I had only to discover that they are no go with the S2 platform. More progress! While I understand that technology moves on and hardware / software evolve wth it, it is mind numbing that access, capability, control, enjoyment and usability to name but a few have regressed to this extent. We have less functionality than the CR-100 and CR-200 of 25+ yea
Hey Community, when I click “Manage > Services” in the menu, the app closes immediately without any message. I've made a short video, the Windows Reliability History report, and the error log.I won't include it here (I don't think that's even possible—only photos). If necessary, I can send it to you.I've already tried the usual fix—uninstalling and reinstalling the app—but it didn't help.I use Windows 11 + Sonos V2 Desktop App.Thank youRené
Sonos Play 1 and Soundbar were connected and working. Play 1 stopped working intermittently. Went through reset steps. Sonos wifi connects soundbar but not Play 1s. Devices then seem to connect to home wifi but then drop off and cannot be located on the App. Help please!

Does anyone have this issue when connected to the headphones you don’t hear your my music even though it’s turned all the way up, until I turn the left head phone sideways on my ear then I hear out of that ear only but not loud?
Dear Sonance community,I recently purchased and installed a Sonance MAG 6.1 speaker/subwoofer system in my backyard and pool area, as shown in the attached image. The installation was completed following the recommended guidelines to provide even audio coverage throughout the outdoor space. As part of the setup, the amplifier is currently located under the gazebo. Once I finalize the installation, I plan to relocate the amplifier into a temperature-controlled enclosure for added protection. The speaker layout is configured in a L-R-L-Sub-R-L-R arrangement, with the approximate distances between each speaker and the subwoofer reflected in the diagram. The entire system is connected using approximately GearIT 250 ft 14/4 gauge speaker cable to maximize sound coverage around the pool area.Following the installation guidance provided in several Sonance installation videos, I wired the system as follows:Left speakers: Green (-) / White (+) Right speakers: Red (+) / Black (-) Subwoofer: Conne
With a free YouTube Music account in Italy, using an Android phone, can I add YouTube Music to the Sonos app and play music directly through a Sonos speaker without keeping the YouTube Music app open on my phone? I am using a free YouTube Music account (not YouTube Music Premium) in Italy on an Android phone. If I add YouTube Music as a music service in the Sonos app, will I be able to browse my library, search for artists and songs, and play music directly on a Sonos speaker over Wi-Fi, without leaving the YouTube Music app running in the background on my phone?"
CBC Music now longer working for me. Any other fans having the same problem?
I have a system with 2 Sonos Play:3 and 1 Ikea symfonisk and the last one drops the sound to 0 around every 10 minutes. I have tried so restart and reset all the settings but it still keep on doing it. What can I do about it?
I have an issue with my Sonos Roam where the volume will drop from high to low when streaming Spotify. I've tried factory resetting the Sonos Roam. I've tried moving it closer to the router and it only happens on my Sonos Roam and not on my Sonos Move which is on the same network. It even happens when the two speakers are paired together and it only happens on the Roam. Submitted diagnostics Moderator Edit - Recorded and removed diagnostics.
Someone please explain to me how a system that is working perfectly for months suddenly starts cutting in and out when I add a port (which I have removed).I have three business grade wifi 7 tri-band wired access points. It is not possible it’s my wifi.I have taking just about every other thing on the wifi off to check for that. It streams sonos radio just fine. I shifted my music from my NAS to my local machine to stream from there.I switched from my FLAC library to MP3s.I am at a loss at what else to do.I see this happening to tons of people on a regular basis on the forums. WTF?
For many months now I’ve not really been able to use Tidal with Sonos. Within the Sonos app on iOS I could only play one track at a time. I was never able to get it play a list without choosing the next song manually. I then switched to the Tidal app to cast to the Sonos system. It was fine until a few weeks ago. Now I can’t cast. The Tidal app seems to quickly try about 5 songs before it stops trying. Nothing will play. Then I went back to the Sonos app and found that I can’t play anything that I’ve saved. If it’s in my playlist I can’t play it at all. this is laughable. Yes I’ve done the basics. Reauthorized tidal. Rebooted network. Deleted tidal and Sonos apps from iOS. No changes. this is a large, expensive, collection of useless junk.
Our previous LG soundbar has broken, and with already having lots of Sonos speakers around the ground floor, I want to get a Sonos soundbar to replace it.The budget isn’t high at all, as we’re not looking for anything crazy - it’s my parents house - and they just want a replacement for their previous mid-tier LG soundbar (LG LAS455H). All I want is the Sonos quality.I’ve found some good deals online, particularly looking at CEX - as they offer a 5 year warranty for free which would give a bit of peace of mind. A playbar and gen2 sub would come to £380 total which is a crazy good deal in my opinion. I’ve heard this system and I know its great, but I want your opinions - is this system still worth it and reliable to buy refurbished in 2026? Bear in mind we are replacing a mid-tier system (would have cost abut £350 when the playbar/sub setup in question would have cost £1200) so any better sound is an upgrade.
