Hi,I’m building a new house and am planning on using an arc ultra, sub 4 and 2 era 300s in my media room. The media room is 4m x 4m. Ceiling height is 3m. The tv will be mounted on one wall with the arc ultra below it. My question relates to the era 300s. The sofa will be up against the opposite wall from the TV. The room isn’t big enough for this to be spaced away from the wall.At what height and how far from the side walls would you mount the era 300s? They can’t be at the recommended 80-100cm as it would be too close to ears (or you’d hit your head on them). Many thanks.
Sonos5.1 is not recognized in the WLAN
I accidentally downloaded the new app when my phone updated. As it had been many months since I previously tried it I thought i would given it a go, thinking it must be sorted by now. What a disaster. I've six speakers in 3 rooms. They would play faint background radio even though not on. They were Slow to respond aand I'd have to power down and on again. The Beam stopped playing the TV even though hdmi connected Too many issues. So I've reverted back to the old app again.Sonos need to get this sorted
I am interested in purchasing a Pro-Ject turntable.I have two Sonos Era 100, 1 Sub Mini and 1 Sonos Beam.I know that it is possible to connect the turntable to an Era 100 via Jack-USB-C.My first question is: if I do this, will the music come out of the other devices (the other era and the Beam)? Is it the same if I connect the BT turntable via Bluetooth to one of the ERAs. Will the sound come out from everywhere or only on the Era via Bluetooth. Finally, do you know if there is a difference between the Project E1 and the T1 (both in BT).Thank you for your answers.
I’m pretty good with computers however, it took about 7 hours over a 3 day period to get my system updated and back up and running. This just isn’t right…Along with an hour and 10 minutes on the phone with Sonos support who were unable to help…Very disappointed…
Hey all,I recently upgraded to the Sonos Arc Ultra in my living room, hooked up to an LG C1 OLED via eARC, and with an Apple TV 4k (newest model) as my main source for streaming and Apple Music. I’ve recently noticed that when I group my Sonos Ones that are in other rooms with the TV audio, it’s VERY choppy, to the point where I find it unlistenable. This problem does not happen when I stream music from the Sonos app or Airplay via my phone, so I think it has something to do with sound coming into the sonos via the Apple TV. I had my previous Sonos Arc hooked up via ethernet to create a SonosNet connection around the house and never had this problem, so I’m wondering if that’s part of the issue (I know the Ultra does *not* support SonosNet). As for if it’s a network issue, I have a relatively small house (about 1200 square feet) with AT&T Fiber and have a few internet range extenders so coverage should not be an issue. Is anybody else experiencing this issue? I haven’t reached out
So, I purchased a new home which had a Sonos set up - three wall speakers in three rooms hooked up to my router. I downloaded the Sonos app and it worked fine - until today. When I opened it, there was a message that an update was available and I had no options but to download an update. It would not allow me to do anything else or continue until I did the update. Until now everything worked just fine. All I ever wanted to do was play some music (usually a radio station) and nothing more. I know my TV’s will connect but the audio through Sonos is terrible compared to the basic TV audio so, just a radio in the background for the day. I do not use my cell phone for anything but making and getting calls and texting, even that rarely. My cellular data is not connected and I only use an internet connection rarely. Since I am the only one in the household that is even semi computer literate, having the software simply shut down because of a software update when I am not here is not acceptabl
Initally set up in one home and took many hours of work arounds to finally get it to play. A few years later resurrected in a different state and simply does not work.I would not recommend Sonos to anyone. Will not recognise my Port and basically feel like I need to be an IT technician just to get it to play a record.I heard Sonos are going broke and that they are trying to discount all their products as a last gasp measure to get some market share back, but basically, the software is too hard for the average person to operate.
Hi!I’ve had the combination of Ubiquiti and Sonos for several years. Since 2018.It’s been working very well. Until the ‘new app’ beginning of the year. Lets start with the Ubiquiti Setup:UDM Router with Wifi Enabled 16 port POE switch 2 AP’s directly on the POE switch And the Sonos Setup:2x Play 3 1x Beam 1x Roam 1x OneWhat is currently happening; the app is very slow to connect to the devices. However, at the same time both Home Assistant and direct playback from Spotify work instantly. And even if the Sonos app is working; it seems to be forgetting that it’s playing something. Which at that point results in not being able to control anything.Stopping playback, skipping song, changing volume is impossible at those times. I did change a lot of the Ubiquti settings (which never were an issue!), like snooping, Spanning tree etc. But that doesn’t solve it. Spent in total a whole working day calling Sonos, but we’re not getting anywhere. Has anyone got any clue what i can try out to improv
So some files that I have on my PC won’t play. Sonos scans them for a few seconds then moves on to the next file. It will then skip the entire album track by track. Thought it was file format but happens on MP3s as well as lossless. It’s consistent, ie certain albums just won’t play. VLC plays them fine. The Sonos device was connected to router via Ethernet in case of Wi-Fi issues. I stress, most albums play fine. I also have a NAIM streamer on Ethernet into a router and this has no such problems. It’s getting more common as time goes on with latest albums. Is it likely to be because these are higher res mp3? The devices in question are play one and three, about 10 years old.
Alguien sabe si mi sonos beam es compatible con pantalla Sony?? No reconoce el cable HDMI y el cable de fibra óptica
I’d like to connect a turntable and a CD player to my Sonos Amp. Is there a way to do this using coaxial or optical outputs converted to the HDMI input on the Sonos Amp, or is an RCA switcher the best option? Thanks!
HiMy current setup is an Era 100 in my bedroom and a Beam 2 in my living room with my LG tv.I live in an apartment building, so my couch is flush against the wall in my 230 sq ft living room.I was planning on upgrading my living room setup during this Black Friday / holiday season for an improves sound..Would you guys say that having a Beam 2 paired with 2xEra 100 speakers as surrounds with wall mounts would significantly improve the listening experience, as opposed to buying an Arc Ultra (after selling the Beam 2)?I am not too fond of the idea of installing wall mounts next to my couch due to aesthetic reasons. I'm also aware that the ideal surround speakers placement would be behind the couch, which is not applicable in my case. I will however prioritize an option that will yield a better listening experience over aesthetics. I know the Arc Ultra is a significant improvement over the Beam 2, I am just not sure how well it can mimic a surround sound experience.Adding a Sub Mini to my
I recently purchased ERA 300 speakers for home and a full set of ERA 100 speakers for my medical clinic. Worst mistake of my life. The infrastructure is terrible. We can’t seem to get the speakers in the office to sync and have been forced to only use one speaker in the waiting room that we connect to via bluetooth. This morning at home my app forgot I owned our 300 speaker and keeps showing "Sign in as the System Owner" on the front page. When I sign in, it quickly reverts to saying the same thing over and over. When I login online, it allows me to login but doesn’t list my speaker. I just want things to work. I shouldn’t have to call tech support 3 times per week. I shouldn’t have to search online articles or dig through manuals. I’ve equipped my clinic with multiple forms of EHR, wireless scanners, imaging devices (ultrasound, x-ray, body scanner), etc. Equipment that is infinitely more complex and it all works. I regret buying into this ecosystem. If anyone lives nea
Not bothered about album art or anything fancy just wanted my own music library to work 66 thousand songs just to play all over the house when I want it's not good enough to pay out thousands not to be able to do this
After connecting my era 300 to my new Sonos arc ultra and updating firmware and app I have now noticed that surround formats aren’t being rendered properly through the era 300 speakers. During 5.1 content the surround effects are coming from the top speakers only and in 7.1 the surround rear effect speakers do not make sound only side surrounds and top make any sound. Is anyone else noticing this?
I reset Apple Music as I wanted to turn off the library setting of ‘Add Playlist Songs’ and ‘Add Favourite Songs’ because it was dumping partial albums in my library once I had added a single song to a playlist. So I deleted everything in Apple Music and recovered with a function on TuneMyMusic backup/restore.Anyway, what I have are items in my Apple Music Library in Sonos (Desktop and App) which do not exist in Apple Music. I have tried removing and adding the service from Sonos. I have reset the IOS App and reinstalled the desktop App. Nothing seems to update the Albums and the grey items still exist and won’t play. Any suggestions on how to resolve this? Sonos App Sonos DesktopApple Desktop (Windows)
My ongoing disappointment with Sonos continues. The system is virtually unusable - literally every time I switch on my Playbar, Sub, Play:1 Surrounds, I have issues introduced since the previous use. Software ‘updates’ that do nothing but create issues. Not least of which that the Play:1 speakers need to be plugged in to the router to update, because while they work perfectly fine when up and running, software updates invariably fail to recognise them to connect and update wirelessly. Thousands of pounds worth of kit that I cannot be bothered to use any more, because of the hassles experienced at every turn. Such a shame, as the sound quality, when working, is now good. When are Sonos going to sort their software, so that the (fundamentally good) hardware, is not being constantly let-down?
Is the Sonos Arc + Gen 3 Subwoofer + Amp & architectural series speakers all combined not a true Dolby Atmos experience? The architectural series add on is not Atmos, yes/no? If not why?? It’s supposed to be the high end combo package

I have a Sonos Ray soundbar that I have recently purchased, and it is not connecting to my Xfinity cable box remote control. I have set up the speaker on the Sonos App. I could not connect the speaker to the remote control using App prompts. I called customer service, sent photos of remote control, supplied identification numbers from remote control battery compartment and the cable box console, and was told that Sonos is unable verify compatibility. The Xfinity remote operates the TV and cable box without line of sight, so I believe It works using radio frequency signals. A quick Google search shows that most Xfinity remotes operate using RF signaling. The Sonos Ray does not come with it’s own remote, and is apparently intended to operate through the customer’s remote or TV. Another quick Google search shows that Comcast Xfinity supplies more than 40% of the United States with broadband and cable, so I suspect that an extremely large population of the U.S. has the same remote control
After I updated the Windows desktop app on December 12 - when prompted - I stopped being able to play anything from Spotify on any of my Sonos speakers. I have some old Play 1, but also some ERA 100s as well. None can queue up any songs from Spotify. If I switch over to my YouTube Music service, it queues up songs without any issue. If I use my cell phone Sonos app, that will queue up songs from Spotify. They will play, but when I look at the queue, it does not display a list, but says “Queue: Started from Spotify”. This problems - at least for me - is only happening on the Windows app. I have uninstalled the Windows app, but it is the same thing. I have of course rebooted my machines. Since everything is working fine when I use the cell phone app, it cannot be a problem with my network. Also, since other services (YouTube Music) works, that means communication is fine. As a further test, I started the Spotify app on my desktop - same Windows desktop as the Sonos desktop app - and I wa
After installing the update to the Sonos app on 12/12/2024, all of the PCs in our office lost the ability to manage Spotify via the PC app. The support bot suggested restarting our router, but we have no network instability here and the controls work fine on mobile. There are also no issues with other services such as Sonos Radio. Are there any known issues with the new Sonos app version and Spotify? Thanks in advance.
Does anyone know if the auto EQ adjust that lowers the bass output on the Arc Ultra when it’s mounted in the Arc Ultra wall mount can be defeated? I have the Arc Ultra mount and there does not appear to be any magnets under the adhesive cushion strips. It seems like the entire mount is magnetized. This does matter from an SQ perspective in my mind. If you suppress a frequency and then boost it with EQ the boosted frequency will not be as clean in comparison to the unsuppressed source frequency.
