Is it possible to add a Wiim mini to the line-in on ERA 100 stereo pair? Looking for an alternative method to get Tidal connect working through my system. Any advice welcomed.
I have a Beam + Amp + Sub home theatre setup. I also have a mixture of other speakers throughout the rest of the house - another Amp, a couple of Era 100s, a couple of Play 1s and a One. They’re all running on wireless on the same network via multiple Unifi WIFI APs.Generally speaking, everything is working ok after several months of chaos, but there a few remaining niggles. The most problematic is that I can’t Airplay to the Beam. It immediately fails with the error ’Unable to connect to “Living Room”’. The behaviour is consistent and exactly the same from a wide variety of different Apple devices. I can successfully Airplay to all the other speakers/Amp in the system that support Airplay, including some on the same WIFI AP as the Beam. The other day I finally got round to trying to sort this out, and I factory reset the Beam and re-added it. I was happy to see that after doing so Airplay now worked, and I thought that was the end of the matter.Sadly, a day later, it’s back to doing
I have a small vacation home. When I go between the vacation home and the main house I have to update the network and add the speakers to the app everytime since Sonos released their new app. With the old app I never had to do this. The app still sucks and is not getting any better. Does anyone know how (if possible) to not have to go through this process everytime I switch homes?
Hi, I have Sonos AMP hard wired to celling speakers in living room. I have sub min connected to power outlet. Also have Samsung Tv connected to SONOS Arc via HDMI cable. question : when I play YouTube music on SONOS app it works, it plays the sound in celling speakers and my Arc. But when I play tv the sound only comes from Arc.. I tried creating a group and playing it didn’t work.
Edit
In my Sonos system I have a Playbar, Sub and 2 Play 1 speakers, all in the same room and all on the latest firmware. On a Synology NAS drive I have my own music library. The NAS is running the latest version of DSM.If I remove the Sub from the system or room, then I can access the music library from my Android app and play songs from it through the Sonos system. When I connect the Sub back to the other speakers, I get the unhelpful message “Something went wrong” as soon as I try to open the music library in the Android app. However I can open and select songs from the music library using the Windows application.I contacted Sonos support about this problem today and they told me it’s a known issue affecting multiple users. I asked when it would be fixed and was told there is no estimated fix date.I did not have this issue before the May update. However I first became aware the Sub was the cause of the problem at the start of October. Until then I thought accessing the music library
Is there a fix for the Plat 5 S1 which doenst come up.The power supply is ok, the 12 and 24 Volt is there.Any idea what can cause the problem?
I have two BBC Sounds accounts that I use mostly for testing, but I get very different results on four different apps. If I go into it then Discover Podcasts (or Music You’ll Love):iOS: works 100%Android: works 100% but dates are missing from podcasts (just shows length in mins)Windows Desktop: “Unable to browse music” for both list types (all others work)play.sonos.com: BBC Sounds not even listed as a service. Of course I tried my own apps and I get similar results to the official Windows app (due to empty xml being returned). Can someone located in the UK try these and compare results?
I use Sonos MOVE. If you turn off auto trueplay from the app, you cannot turn it on from the top panel. The button is not active. Previously, I could turn auto trueplay on or off from the top panel and from the app. It was convenient..
Small cross post from the Dutch language community.Yesterday I connected my new Arc Ultra. First I separated the Sub (gen 2), the One and One SL that form the surrounds from the Beam (gen 1), then I renamed the Beam and disconnected it. Connected the Arc Ultra and put it on wifi (other devices are connected to a Boost). Sub and One (SL) reconnected. Did the advanced Trueplay. Connected the Ace, added Google Assistant - that appears to work on the One that serves as a surround. That's a gift - it used to work that way with a Playbar, but I hadn't read anywhere that it would work with the Arc Ultra. The Nest Mini that I already purchased can therefore be returned. The set up went smoothly.First experiences. Wow. Sound is clearer. Tried a bit of Dune 2 (see https://www.whathifi.com/features/the-best-dolby-atmos-movie-scenes) for Atmos. Had to go back into the settings of the Samsung TV, but it works. Atmos sounds good, even with my non-Atmos rear speakers. Music from Blu Ray sounds great
I use Apple Music and the app only allows 1 song to be played at a time. This was never a problem before. I can’t be expected to hit play after every song. What’s the problem?
I have completed all of the proper network sharing options on my laptop for my "music library" to be accessible. I can see it on my work laptop, my MacBook Air, and PC media center. I can access the whole library, play individual songs, playlists or what ever I want with no problem. Now for the "phone apps" - For some reason when I touch the "music library" on any of my phones, as soon as I tap on any selections (songs, artists, playlist, composers, genres, etc.) I get an exclamation point in a circle and the message is ALWAYS "something went wrong." I would really like an answer to why this is always happening on the phone apps and litterally NEVER happening on the PCs or Macs. Don't try and blame my network settings. I am very network savvy and I've additionally already troubleshot everything with a network professional that is on the top of their game. If you want to just admit that the phone apps are still garbage or that all the bugs are not worked out and that you are still w
before Sonos updated the app in May, the stability and functionality was great. Since this update there has been lots of issues and some of them have been fixed and some have not and we’ve also talked about them on here. What is annoying is that all my album art that is stored on my local drive, is not showing from my NAS library and it used to work fine? It actailly works through Plex, but I prefer to use my own library, as I’ve got my own playlists that I’ve created over the years….Do we know when this will be fixed please?

Hey there. since about 2 months ago, which is also around when iOS 18 came out (though im not sure they are related), ive been having issues airplaying from my iPhone (or iPad) to my sonos speakers. Either 1 of 2 things happens: there is a 5-10 second delay and then the music or podcast starts playing, or other times, it is never able to play. there is no error message, and my speakers appear in the airplay list just fine. I have power cycled multiple times my: device, both sonos speakers, and my router. i don't see a major difference when i do. software is up to date. this happens when using a variety of apps to airplay, but does not occur when playing directly from the sonos app (which i don't use). Any suggestions or insights would be appreciated. Thanks! Edit: i should follow up by saying ive spoken to support and submitted a diagnostic but they haven't found anything wrong. I have a sonos one and a sonos beam. Moderator Edit - Combined posts
So I have a manual turntable with Sonos dongle into Era100 used only for this gateway purpose. When I pair the Era100 and my ARC HT, or any other Sonos devices I have, I loose the pairing once I switch from side A to B every single time. I guess since no more input is sensed with the ERA100 it must default to not be paired anymore, but this is super annoying and frustrating. Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing? Just to be clear the 100 is not being used as surrounds in HT setup, it was purchased specifically to be a gateway.
Hello, I have a Playbar+Sub+InCeiling+Amp setup for my TV and love it. I have an open floor plan (8x8 meters) which includes the kitchen and dining/living room. I purchased two more InCeiling speakers with separate Amp as I want to be able to play music in kitchen/dining alone or combined with the TV setup. I am wondering if the setup proposed below would work well in mono. Idea is to hear music when cooking (loud ventilation) and also while sitting at the table. If not, what else would you propose? Thanks, Jessy
Merci d avance. Moderator Edit - Translation by Google:Hello, recently I no longer have a choice! I can no longer use the old Sonos app (which was great!) on my Android phone. And now, each time I launch the new app, I have a black page for 1 minute (timed) before I can use my system (2 sonos one without bluetooth). I checked the wifi: strong signal on both. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
First, it requires now your precise physical location (?!) Even then, it can not find any existing product on the network. I highly recommend not to update. Or get rid of sonos before it gets too late
Hi all - recently set up my Sonos Arc Ultra and have set up Amazon Alexa as my voice control. However, I can't seem to get voice controls for my TV to work. For example, when I say "Alexa, turn off my TV" it says that there is no device or group named TV. Any ideas on how to resolve this? Thank you
So I often listen to music on my system when I am not watching TV - its sub optimal obviously. The fact that the ERA 300’s are set as surround means that their main front firing Driver is disabled for music.Would it not be a simple software fix to engage the front firing drivers if the user/owner has selected to listen to music from known music only sources - eg Sonos and Tidal etc.
Since the last update 80.02.05 which happened 6/24 I can no longer update nor create or save any old or new alarms. I thought everything was fixed until they messed everything up again with the latest update. Does anybody else have this problem? This is extremely frustrating seeing how Sonos could be so incompetent...these updates.
Hi all,I noticed something odd that might be worth sharing. I never had issues with the new sonos app. My app loads in about a second (at least with recent updates). That said yesterday I started having issues when trying yo stream from tidal. And I also noticed that opening the sonos app took now 10 seconds or more. The problem continued this morning. At that point I realised that the sonos app had a “playlist” in my history, probably because I started a song from there few days ago. So I tried to delete the playlist, so that now my history says “Your recent history will show here once you've played some content”. And bam, now the app is back to start in s second or so, and the problems streaming from tidal are gone.Is it possible that the people running into issues with the sonos app are using it more for streaming music, as opposed to stream from external apps? If you have issues, I wonder if clearing history is something worth trying: it made a massive difference in my case (even tho
The bass setting between 0 and +10 results in very little change in intensity. Can this be fixed without buying more Sono equipment.
Hi All,I've installed my new Arc Ultra but I was receiving only stereo PCM.Reading on the internet I found to disable Dolby Atmos on my LG tv etc and use passthrough on my HDMI Arc interface but nothing seemed to work.Contacted Sonos and investigated the issue for quite some time also got higher support involved. End conclusion was to contact LG as it seems that the HDMI Arc interface only seem to support Stereo PCM.As I only have HDMI Arc and not eArc I thought that could have been the problem? To fix this I thought I buy a hdmi to optical connector so I could at least try the optical connection dolby digitial and not dolby atmos. Finally I found the problem: It was the setting on the ZIGGO Media box next, it was set to stereo.I should have tried my chromecast or ip connection on the tv that would have also turned out the issue was not the tv but the Media box. Maybe a bit stupid after all but just wanted to share this, in case someone else is also struggling
