First, it requires now your precise physical location (?!) Even then, it can not find any existing product on the network. I highly recommend not to update. Or get rid of sonos before it gets too late 

There was another paranoid post recently on this topic, with a reply from a Sonos staff member explaining why they need location details for legal reasons, and the limited use they make of the data. 


In fact, I now note that you’ve seen that thread and added your paranoid comments on that thread too, despite Sonos’ comments on their use of the data. 


i would not call myself paranoid, more like a privacy conscious citizen. glad someone reads my posts.
