It should be possibility to turn on all speakers on era 300 when it’s Playing a music , it’s a shame that Sonos could not manage to fix this issue in more than one year. Please fix that !! I am so Disappointed that I am wondering to return era 300 back and put my old Sonos one SL back where they were. I just don’t feel any difference when playing the music.
this is now turning into a repeat offender, and I feel it needs to be resolved. My Roam speakers stop connecting to any other playing speaker when it requires an update, but the app does not notify me of the requirement. Even worse I have automatic update enabled but no update is suggested/pushed to the Roam speakers. it is frustrating that you have seriously crippled your apps capability finding music. Moving options so they’re harder to find (impossible even). Offering settings that aren’t honored.the least you could do is to pop up update required if that’s the case - instead, you break your promise to the customer to provide a seamless audio experience. now for the discussion: Hoping this post will Mitigate some frustration But I’d like to know who else is having the same issue.
I have several Sonos devices and this one has recently just stopped working, I have checked the power lead, have tried another working lead, fuse socket etc. nothing gets it to work. there are literally hundreds of such events posted, with these being so expensive you would expect them to last. Is there an underlying issue with Sonos longevity?
Well, I thought we were over the worst of it. Christmas coming and I have friends round. Sonos playing away happily- fourth track plays and bam - nothing. No products found. Thanks Sonos. This is so far beyond a joke, it’s shameful. Edit, No items showing on ipad, android or web. I wondered if my TV would still play sound through the ARC. I went and turned the tv on and yes the ARC plays. At this same point the system reappeared in all places…..kids had been watching TV, I don’t know if them turning the TV off coincided with the music outside stopping. I sent in a diagnostic **********Moderator edit: diagnostic number recorded and removed
My Sonos system consists of an Arc Ultra and Era 300’s in my TV room, a Beam in bedroom, as well as a Sonos Port connected to living room speakers.I had quite a bit of problems after updating to the latest system (16.5) through the mobile app. When complete, only my Arc appeared as part of system. I had messages through the app that the Beam and Era 3000’s had to be connected- one after another. That worked fine for the Beam. Then, when trying to re-connect first Era 300, it ended up giving me an error message repeatedly. Rebooting did not help. After rebooting the second Era 300, it appeared as available, and I was able to re-connect it. The other Era 300- the first one I tried to connect, did not appear. I re-booted it again, and then at some point the two ERA 300’s appeared, as did their surround designation, and everything worked.Since this type of component disconnection and difficulty in re-connecting had not occured for me prior to this, I am bringing this to your attention.
It has been 8 months now and I still can’t connect my iOS devices to my QNAP music Library or rather it can’t find music.SONOS suggests this path - \\SERVER-NAME\Multimedia\iTunes\iTunes Media but it just spins and then never connects. How can you break the connection to your physical equipment so badly that barely anyone can get to their music from iOS?I had this working for 3 plus years on the old app. The new app is supposed to bring about great changes, but then turns out to be *****. Perhaps SONOS is just getting paid money by these streaming companies to make your local library unusable! I really think that is a possibility at this point. SONOS just seems to close down any topic they don’t like as well. I’m so glad I spent thousands of dollars on a system that only streams music, what a joke. I am experiencing issues with my counts in the queues. After indexing, the counts of songs are accurate. However, if you do not index or re-add songs to the queue, they are consistently off by a lot. This prevents you from adding songs to the queue to Play Next. Has anyone noticed this? It is not a huge issue but more of a pain. Any thoughts why the counts are so skewed. This started after last update Build 82259204.
Why on earth is this such a problem for Sonos. I see a ton of SONOS employees on the support line who keep saying “So sorry, I don’t have access to a Mac”. As if that is PAINFULLY obvious.I have Sonos installed on the same freak’n machine as Apple Music and all of my Music. There is absolutely no reason SONOS can’t read the Apple Music file, access my files, and import my playlists . . . zero reason. SONOS …. FIX. THIS.I’ve got my music accessible, but only via a FIle share and SMB. Really? You’re installed on the same F’n disk. Why do I need to pretend to access it from a network. Idiotic. That said, I still can’t get the playlists to load properly. I’ve exported everything via XML and RENAMED the default Libary.xml file to itunes Library.xml (I mean, this is the absolute hight of lazy coding . . . I have to name the file a specific name??? And it does’t provide a prompt that it can’t find what it’s looking for???). Lazy. But even after doing this, I still get file not fo
Y’all, I gotta vent. I am a professional IT person (that has Sonos throughout his entire home and most of his client’s businesses). Today, I spent FOUR HOURS attempting to move two Play 1s to the internal network so we can control them via the PC app. This is simply impossible. Removing and reinstalling apps. Fooling around with a dozen different specs on the 2.6 gig wifi (and even some 5 gig). Fooling with Multicasting. Changing networks. Dumbing down just about every security setting I can think of on our network. Resetting speakers (over, and over, and over again). After three hours, I gave up. Let’s put it back on the guest network where it was before. Nope. Again, impossible. Can’t revert the speakers to S1. S2 can’t find them. Created a completely new Sonos account. Let’s start over. Nope. The app can’t detect the speakers, and that’s THE ONLY OPTION YOU GET. I can’t add “new” speakers. Can’t find any cheat codes on the Internet. I won’t even bother to reach out to Sonos tech sup
I know there a many complaints about the inadequacies of the new app. Everyday I discover a new nuance that makes my experience frustrating. Is there a place where Sonos is actually taking customer feedback or willingness to talk through our UX? It seems just nuts that for a system that is fully dependent on an app so little thought has gone into its “updates” on the consumer end. For instance today’s latest update defaulted my services to 5 of my least used services. I could only access my most used services by deleting some other services. I can no longer sort the services by preference , only “primary”. This sucks for the music enthusiast.
Since a couple of weeks switching radio stations on sonos radio does not work properly. Sometimes the new station will play, but most of the time the old station starts to play, under the name of the newly selected station.Very annoying if you select an easy listening station for Sunday morning but the metal station from last night starts to play 😵Please fix!
Help! I am about to return these Sonos Era 100s as *nothing* should be this difficult to set up and use!Purchased 2x Sonos Era 100 sets (4 speakers total) after installing, uninstalling, rebooting, restarting for 2 days without so much as getting to be able to play a single song (much less pair them for home atereo) I am thoroughly annoyed; and rather than smashing them to bits in a rage and throwing them into the trash; I'm gonna try to return them. Utter garbage.
how to add a 2nd user to my Sonos so they can use the system when the primary user isn't home?
Does someone else sonos Sub Mini not connect properly to the internet wifi? And only works by ethernet??? Ive had the Sub for a week and i cannot connect it to the wifi. It inly works when connected physically… yes the wifi option is on, pls help.
Hi all, Just got an era100 for line in to PC. I cant find on the App where the setting is to use line in.I’ve done everything the website says and youtubes etc.Any ideas? Thanks,
Hi all, I know there are hundreds of posts on here about Sonos on Unifi. One thing that I can't see full clarification on is for full WiFi setup, do you still need set STP up on the network side or is that only for a wired/mixed setup? If the above is true, I've got an AP wired into a dream machine which from other posts appears not to support STP, does this mean I would need to migrate this AP to a switch for it to work reliably? ThanksSpence
How am i supposed to connect my move 2 to the updated app ??
I have repaired a broken Vault 2 (dead power unit). Now I am having trouble re-connecting it to Sonos. After much online searching, I have added the Vault to the network, and added a shared music library via the Sonos (new) App as a shared folder by adding //IP address of the Vault/shared. So I can see the music and play it. BUT it used to be pretty; I could see album artwork and select a specific album. Now all if see is a list of ~ 9000 tracks from the FLAC music subfolder or the same as MP3 in the MP3 folder. Is the Sonos integration stuffed or is there a way to fix it so it will work like it used to? Or should I just be asking Sonos to fix it?
I have a deep collection and scrolling through albums is a tedious task as currently constructed. I have fast internet and it still takes awhile. iTunes (Apple Music) when you go to albums has larger pictures and starts with most recent purchases. I wish it was more like digging in actual crates for lps or similar to apple music
Hi there, Ive had sonos play 1 for years and Spotify connect have worked fine until some few days ago. I can play other music services but not Spotify. It's just loading in Sonos when choosing a song and after some few seconds It jumps to next song in line and does the same. In the Spotify app it just trys to connect but with no success. I have rebooted the wifi, deleted the apps, cleared cache, have revoked and made new authuratzion for Sonos in Spotify web, Ive had taking the spotify service from Sonos also serveral times.Ive had also tried to connect through my windows pc and apple mac, but doesnt work either. Thanks for any help
In ideal conditions (connection to internet) the app works ok at best. The alarm function to play a radio station fails most days. It will play from 2 minutes to 1 hour when set to play for 3 hours on alarm. Volume management works well about 50% of the time. This week we had an internet outage for about 6 hours. Sonos would do nothing. I should be able to play local files, but I could not even log in.I know you are working on the issue, at the end of the day if all commands have to go through the cloud the system is only as good as the internet service of the customer. Much less the local network environment which is why you have your own back channel that makes the system more reliable. Many customers have high latency service. My Ubiquity system monitors my threshold, and it rarely goes over 32ms. I owned a fairly large healthcare company that connected to medical devices. Even under contracted services we could not rely on quality to be high enough 7/24/365 and had to have
Here’s a weird one.I have a variety of Sonos speakers and other Airplay 2 devices. I generally play to my speakers via Airplay 2 using iPhones, iPad, Macs, or AppleTVs. All is well, even with the vilified new Sonos app.Except…Airplay playback from Apple Music or Radio Paradise to my Sonos Move stuttered. Unlistenable, and only to the Move. Curiously, Sonos Music via the Sonos app was fine. This perhaps because of the Sonos wireless backchannel? So, in a fit of system-beating pique, I added Apple Music and Radio Paradise as connected services within the Sonos app. They both play fine if used from within the Sonos app. Hmm. Gets better. After playing Apple Music thru Sonos app, I can return to the Apple Music app and play directly and flawlessly from there. The playback remains fine until the speaker turns itself off. After restart, the stuttering returns, but a quick play thru the Sonos app restores things. Any ideas what’s happening?
Certainly on my Samsung Galaxy Tab-A Tablet. Response is horrible 20 seconds to have Sirius stream playing. Typically the app puts up a set up screen, “no Sonos devices found’, then maybe it finds the network, then maybe it puts up the devices, maybe it responds to may touch.Noticed now a behavior when I had two devices in a group, I tried to remove BOTH from the group - yes, stop playing in both locations - I get an endless loop of “nothing will be playing” Cancel or “GOT IT”. It does NOTHING. I can remove one of the devices, but trying to remove both (a scenaio that has worked in the past), is now a FAIL.In they’ve made improvements in the app since October, totally transparent to me, specially on the Galaxy.
When will a functional S2 app be launched, I just updated my system, an there is nothing but problems. it very frustrating when the whole house is setup with Sonos
