Just purchased the arc ultra, long story short. The sound via the tv is as you’d expected. Sounds really good and an upgrade from the beam. When I try and play music via the Sonos app the sound is nowhere near as loud or as powerful. anyone any ideas? thanks
I have a question about backsound because playing anything pass hdmi arc in beam 2 on tv direct or spotify app on tv (by wifi works ok 5.1 music) on spain only works in one channel that transmit in DOLBY atmos it is TVE HD in my 2 sonos one sl back its on. I think a stereo signal must be converted by every channel to be audible in back in every case. it is possible?
Hey,I have the following hardware configuration: Sony A95L, Sonos Arc Ultra + 2x Era300 + Sub 3 Gen. I have the following problem. For some time now, I have noticed that clicking on night mode or dialogue enhancement in the app does nothing. This happens both when playing content from Apple TV and in the Bravia Core TV app. Moreover, I have the impression that when I turn on night mode while watching something on ATV, e.g., in Dolby Atmos, but also in 5.1, instead of lowering the volume, it increases. The best part is that when I play a movie on YouTube (TV app), night mode works correctly. Do you know what might be the cause?Diagnostic code is ***********Thank you in advance for your response. Sonos should make an HD radio that picks up AM/FM signals and it should work with their speakers obviously. The AM/FM home receivers that they have on the HD website are nowhere near as good as Sonos. It won’t let me paste a link into here but the website of the current receivers is HDRadio.com and then click get a radio and then home radio. Sonos can easily make this.
Hi all -- I received the Sonos Era 300 wall mounts and because of where I will be placing the speakers I want to mount them inverted (upside down). I was following the instructions in the guide if you scroll down the “mount inverted” section. At step 3 it says to “Remove the screw from the mount assembly. Rotate the mount 180 degrees so the screw holes are facing up, then reattach the screw to the mount assembly.” I can’t seem to get the screw out to flip it. I have tried with screwdriver and drill and neither has worked. The screw doesn’t move at all. I called Sonos support who thought the 2 mounts I received might have an issue so they sent me 2 new ones but the 2 new ones have the same problem. Multiple calls into the support # and they can’t seem to figure it out. Has anyone else had this issue and if so any advice on how to fix? Anyone else here able to mount in an invert fashion without any issues? Appreciate the help
Hello,The link (https://www.sonos.com/en-us/guides/era300) mentions that Sonos Era 300 should be mounted upside down if placed less than 60cm from ceiling. I’m thinking of mounting these about 20-30cm from ceiling. Just wondering that instead of inverted mounting, is it ok if I mount them upright but then tilt the mount to make the speakers face downwards (they can tilt upto 32deg)?Any potential issues with this setup? Thanks
I have had my Sonos Five for a few years and mostly has been working without any issues, however a few nights ago it just stopped working for no apparent reason (no network changes on my side etc). I’ve hard reset it many times and it gets to a point where it tries to do an update but fails with always the same error code 1101. I’ve tried this both Wireless and with ethernet connected directly to my router. I’ve contacted support and we have gone through everything, but they have no idea. I’ve asked this to be escalated, otherwise this is an expensive brick. Anybody else have a solution?

I have a Pair of One SL Surround Speakers. For some reason one of the speakers will not connect to my WiFi. Even tried connecting with an ethernet cable..still no joy. Sonos Support couldn't help either? Wondered if anyone else had had the same problem?
I have been having problems with Apple Music dropping out randomly across various speakers in my 9 speaker system. I followed the Sonos support process…first the chat bot who referred to an online chat with a person, who referred me to calling the tech support to actually speak to a person. Still no resolution other than to say I need to eliminate interference from networks in my house by moving my network to bridge mode. Sounded odd as the Sonos devices are pointed at a specific network, but Sonos were not accepting any other approach. 3 hours of my life I’ll never get back! $300 of network consulting to re-configure the network and guess what……no improvement. Another call to Sonos tech support and the next consultant advises (with some coaxing) that there’s a known bug with Apple Music and numerous customers have the issue. Very guarded on the detail. Suffice to say, I am extremely annoyed and angry with Sonos (not to mention being $300) out of pocket. The lack of transparency is a
Morning!!I have and ARC not ultra and looking to add a sub. I have a very large room and just curious where it should go in the room?? Thanks
Hi!I am getting my Arc Ultra replaced due to some issues.RMA process was created and I got the email to proceed with the replacement process.Yet, for the last week it’s been impossible to proceed with the advance replacement as there is an issue with the Sonos website, that makes it impossible to fill in the CC data. Both the CC number and CVV number fields are inactive, no matter how I try to select them to fill in the information, they cannot be deleted.Already contacted Sonos, that abkownledges the problem, but the only update is that they are trying to solve it.In the meantime, the whole replacement process is halted. Anyone having the same issue?
I don’t have wired Internet to the flat only a wireless router can I still use voice assistant or does the Sonos system bar from connecting
With recent discount on Ray, and extra 15% ‘upgrade’ discount, I thought I would finally get a Sonos speaker hooked up directly to PC. I also got a SPDIF/USB converter:https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B2DBGKL3A nice upgrade in sound from my previous Creative USB sound bar.I had previously tried a Roam via Bluetooth, but couldn’t live with the latency causing minor lip sync issues on youtube etcNo noticeable lip sync issues with the Ray and USB SPDIF adapter.
Increase the bass of my new subwoofer 3
I have a Sonos beam and a Samsung Smart TV that’s a few years old. I spent probably ten hours and came minutes away from buying a new TV before I resolved this issue but I fixed it. Issue was that the HDMI ARC port said it was not recognised and TV would default to TV Speakers. Would work sometimes then not. I FINALLY looked into the cable box I was using (in my case Telus TV) and there is a common issue with the HDMI ARC when you have a cable box and other devices connected to the same TV and the sound bar is on HDMI ARC. There is a CEC prong in the HDMI cable to the cable box (or perhaps game console, whatever) (I forget which pin but google it) that causes ALL these issues. You can either 1) try and remove or block this pin or 2) what I did is I bought a $20 CEC Less HDMI adapter and connected it between my cable box and regular HDMI port. Boom problem solved. I have never posted in a community before but I spent HOURS & HOURS on this issue and almost bought a new TV so I hope
I know this subject has been posted before, I’ve gone through and read many posts about it already, which is frustrating cause so many users agree and have already voiced their own frustrations. Yet after so many updates to the app it’s honestly bewildering why the Sonos team has not provided an easier way to access the Sub speaker controls on the homepage or control panel. Every audio system I’ve ever had dating back 30 years has always had a separate button to turn on and off the subwoofer and it’s usually right on the head unit and not buried through a menu of options. And it’s not as if the function doesn’t exist in the app, there just needs to be a shortcut that doesn’t take 6+ clicks to get to. And on a sidenote, I’m not sure why you didn’t think of this already but shouldn’t ‘night sound’ in the control panel turn off the subwoofer? The whole point is to make it less loud at night time and doesn’t it seem like it would be smart to turn off the sub at night? The button is right
Hi, at the end of my tether with Sonos! Went to open my Sonos app on my laptop earlier, but it started by asking me to connect, despite working fine yesterday and it won’t connect… However, works fine on my iPhone app… any ideas people?
Hello everyone,I have this problem. I have an Arc, Sub 3 and 2 Era 300. sometimes it happens that when I turn off the TV in the evening, in the morning on both the ARC and Era 300 the green gray light is on and the system is on mute. This happens irregularly, so I don't know what the cause is. Sonos Arc is connected to the TV via HDMI, in addition, I have a TV set-top box, Apple TV and a Blu-ray player connected via HDMI. Thank you in advance for your replyThanks in advance
Here's the scenario: I select a Spotify playlist, it will be added to the Sonos queue immediately. Then I select several other Spotify playlist and add them to the queue. After some time I switch to listening tot the radio and then want to switch to the queue again. If I understand correctly, I have to select a Spotify playlist again before being able to access the queue. But then this playlist is (again) added tot the queue. I don't want that. Am I doing something wrong? In the old app it was really easy to do this.
The position in the playing queue is no longer being maintained if I temporarily do anything else within the app (search, browse, etc.). When I return I see the first song in the queue, not the song I am currently hearing. This is very annoying, especially if there are several hundred songs in the queue. I’ve been using SONOS for years, and I do not think this was ever a problem before.
I spent 2 hrs on the phone with Sonos Customer service as since the new app, I still have not been able to play my turntable (Project Debut & Project Amp) through my Gen 2 Connect and hence to My Sonos Speakers. Always worked before the advent of the new app. I never have needed an ethernet cord to my router ( always has worked great). And my router is on another floor. What to do? I see it in my list but Connect won’t connect. Solid white light is on. All the cords are connected ( that was confirmed on my 2 hr call) All works fine (Pandora, etc) except for the Connect. I also have always had a firewall to my wifi. Help, I would prefer to not have to look for a new system.
My set up is really old. Play 1 and Play 3. I also have unlimited prime music. It has driven me mad, why the music would drop on playing random songs on amazon music. I am a bit techo dense, but finally found out the songs were streaming in ultra hd. But with the sonos app, the trouble songs just said HD. Hence the confusion. I know my speakers aren't compatible with Ultra HD. I went into the amazon app and set my quality there to SD, but it's made no difference.Has anyone manage to limit the streaming quality or is time for new speakers?.
Which one of these options should I go for? A single Era 300 or a pair of Era 100 and connect them as stereo pair?I have a small room. I will connect these speakers with my iPhone, MacBook and Sony Bravia 3 TV. My primary aim of having these speakers is listening to music, watching movies live streaming channel and play games using latest PS game controller.
