Hi, I recently bought the Pro Ject turntable and connected it to the Sonos Amp and paired it with a nice pair of Martin Logan speakers and I’m using the Sonos Sub Gen 3 as subwoofer and it works flawlessly. Although I’m nostalgic with vinyl records, my kids are nostalgic with CD’s so I went to my storage and pulled out all my CDs and bought a CD player. I connected the Amp to a Duac Audio input switch and VU meter and the turntable works flawlessly, however, the CD player had a slight delay when playing the first song. We miss the first few seconds of the first song making me have to go back and restart it. I have the delay feature to minimum (75ms). Is there something else I can do to make it start from the get go? I’m thinking it’s the sub. Everything, the Amp and the sub are hardwired to my router. Thanks in advance.
Hello It appears that the Sonos App is no longer able to find my local music library on my MacBook, even using the NAS workaround? I know that this was a huge problem after Sonos “upgraded” their app. I also know that the eventually deployed a fix whereby you used the NAS settings to log into your Mac/PC to access your local library. The fix allowed me to play my locally stored music, even if it didn’t support my local Apple Music playlists. This fix worked for me from around August ‘24 until just recently, but now, once again, Sonos is not finding my local library and even the NAS workaround isn’t working. After I enter my username and passwork it appears to connect and my music library starts indexing, but eventually it stops and I get the dreaded error that my library must have moved. Is this just me or are others having this problem again as well? thanks
It seems that everyone I use my Sonos system there's a problem and doesn't work! It's appalling how bad it is. I have over£1,500 of kit and I feel like throwing it all away and buying stunting else. The sound is create but everything else is awful. Sonos need to get its act together. I am surprised the people responsive haven't been replaced and appropriately skilled people employed to get the rest of the environment as good as the sound. For example tonight the help is overlaid and flickers when in use. It's awful. Totally amateurish.I can't believe I'm saying this in 2025.
Sonos just keeps closing these threads regarding the broken app. So I’m opening a new one.The question remains. Is Sonos ever going to fix it? Are they really going to a subscription model as suggested here: https://www.wired.com/story/sonos-redesigned-its-app-and-made-a-subscription-model-possible/I really want to love this product again, but it’s virtually unusable without a working app.
I have paired and connected by Sonos Era 100 speakers to my Sonos app on my mobile devices (Ipaid Air 2, Pixel 8). I paired the speaker to my Dell desktop XPS 8930, but it will connect for only a second and then unconnect. I have tried rebooting the speaker as well as the PC. Nothing works. My primary use of the Sonos Era is to connect via Bluetooth audio files in my library on my PC. I have tried googling answers or related information but cannot find anything. Any suggestions?
When browsing BBC material the broadcast dates are displayed in US format even though everything else on my PCs are set to UK. I see this was raised with Sonos over two years ago… and still not fixed. Is that right?
I have the Sonos app on my iPhone and iPads. I play on my iPad but then I can’t control the Sonos system on my iPhone?
Just bought the play 5 and T1 turntable but can’t get sound
I finally after THREE HOURS got a used Play3 downgraded from S2 to S1 and successfully adopted.Initially using the S2 app (now just called SONOS app) I went to Settings Gear - Visit Help Center - Legacy S1 App - Downgrade Product to S1 and it said it successfully downgraded the speaker, but it didn’t really. I could never adopt it using the S1 app. I'd go back to the S2 app and it would find the Play3 eligible to downgrade again.I rebooted my Samsung Galaxy S25 phone, factory reset the Play3 many times, tried setting up a 2.4G WiFi network (as some said that helped) and even connected the speaker with Ethernet, all to no avail. I was about to give up and return the speaker, but finally got it working with the following tricks:I left the Play3 plugged in with Ethernet. Using the S2 app I adopted the Play3 to a "New" Sonos system config, separate than my existing S1 devices. It found the Play3 and adopted and then I UPDATED THE S2 FIRMWARE on the speaker. It failed the first attempt, an
When connecting headphones via usb-c to my iPhone with usb-c I notice that the volume is a little lower than usual, even at the same levels as I usually use via bluetooth. When I open the Sonos app, and see the status of the headphones, I notice that the volume level of the headphones in the Sonos app is 2, and when I even try to raise it by sliding manually, the volume goes up to too high levels just by going up only one or two volume levels. The volume control of the device, ie with the iPhone buttons I understand that it is an independent control and therefore does not affect the volume displayed in the Sonos app. How would I go about listening through the usb-c cable to enjoy lossless audio without dying in the attempt or going deaf. It is super dangerous that the sound volume makes such drastic jumps and that the control is not consistent between the app and the volume of the device.
The new iOS App update today, and yesterdays system update, seems to have vastly improved the App loading on my iPhone, in fact Sonos App home page is now loading quicker than Apple Music App, both from a previous force close. Previously Sonos App home page would take 1-2 seconds to load from force close, now its less than a second. I assume others are seeing same?
Well on the plus side the new app and firmware are a lot better than they were when first released. On the negative reliability is still an issue and full queue management is among the features still missing. Here's hoping we don't have to wait another year for a reliable full featured app and firmware.
I'll do a measurement soon and post the ts parameters. I bought another pair on aliexpress. Will also measure those and see if they're legit.
Hi all!So, my 8 year old Sony is giving up. Based on your experience, what brand pairs well with Arc Ultra?Thank youNeven
I purchased/downloaded SonoPhone just to see what all the hype is about. It’s one of the blandest app’s I’ve ever seen. It reminds me of something from the 1990’s. As far as functionality goes….IMO it’s the old Sonos S1 app.Appearances...well once again a picture speaks volumes…..On the left is the SonoPhone showing “Music Services” and on the right is the Sonos App that shows “Your Services”. Oh..wait...the SonoPhone doesn’t show anything. I guess it couldn’t find them. 😂 Oh well...moving on….On the left is the SonoPhone “Playing Now” screen and on the right is the Sonos App “Playing Now” screen. Let’s not talk about which screen is more intuitive. The yellow circles on the Sonos App show what’s missing from the SonoPhone screen. The “volume level indicator” is only circled to show it’s readable at a glance; without having to touch the “volume slider” as is required on the SonoPhone screen. Let’s not forget the SonoPhone limitations. Haven’t people complained about not being able t
I know that I can connect my Sonos app to my media library on my NAS, and I know that I can connect it to a Plex server- but I don’t use or like Plex - but why can’t the app writers allow me to link to my existing non-Plex servers? My media servers on my NAS automatically update the content if there are changes and I’ve only just found that the Sonos app has be updated manually (and then it has to scan through thousands of tracks). So why go through all that when my media servers have updated already??
Hello,I am a loyal Sonos user and I love the audio quality of your products. However, I find it unfortunate that it is not possible to fully enjoy two subwoofers (subs) at the same time. The app automatically limits the power of the subwoofers when they are used together, which defeats the purpose: more powerful, deeper, and more immersive bass.I therefore ask you to consider the following improvements:Add an option to disable automatic attenuation with two subs.Allow independent adjustment of the level of each sub.Offer a "Full Bass" or "Cinema" mode for those who want an intense experience. Many of us would like this freedom in settings. Thank you for developing the app in this way!Sincerely,
I believe the Sonos Arc Ultra is broken. I have owned my full setup Arc Ultra/Sub4/Era300’s for a few days now and noticed almost immediately that the dialogue or centre channel was sounding a fair bit shrilling or harsh, so I messed with settings & re did Trueplay and nothing could make it sound right so I got hold of a Dolby Atmos test tone file 7.1.4 along with a DB meter & noticed straight away that the Centre channel is at least +6db higher than the FL & FR channels, this is beyond infuriating if you have any experience with AV and it appears there is no fix either. How on earth Sonos or reviewers do not even notice this is beyond me as any Dolby mix sounds awful because of it. I would not have bought the setup knowing this. It’s still in return window but it’s a big pain sending it all back. Has anyone got a fix or workaround for this problem?
Hi, I'm looking into buying the S.M.S.L PL200 MQA-CD Player. It has optical and coaxial outputs. will I be able top connect it to one of my Play 5 (Gen 1) speakers?
Hello everyone.A question about Sonos Era 300.The "Sonos voice Control" voice commands work well (I have those of ehco dot of Alexa but it doesn't understand anything and does what it wants) also on Tidal the voice commands work.Do I have any constraints if I don't have an Apple smartphone? As for bass performance, is the Five model or Era 300 better? (I can always add a Sub Gen3).Thank you very much for the answers.
FIX!!! (Ish). I have this exact problem and just fixed it! One month ago my playbar stopped recognizing volume controls from both my apple remote and my Samsung tv remote. I spoke to Sonos and was told that the IR receiver was likely toast and it can't be replaced. By complete coincidence the Spanish power outage fried my legacy google Chromecast device so I upgraded to a Chromecast 4k. Just for giggles I thought I would try to set it up with Sonos as my new remote. It worked in a second and is flawless!! The IR receiver is fine! I'm still convinced that a software update impacted these remotes. If you are having this issue, try a Chromecast remote!
I feel that the volume steps when using the Beam 2 connected to an LG Oled TV using eARC is a bit too large when the volume is low. The volume control resolution in the app is better, but for some reason each press on the remote control for the TV adjust the volume 2 steps up/down. Has anyone else noticed the same? Any chance this could be fixed in a coming update? If number of volume steps on eARC is not possible to change, then maybe by having a non-linear volume scale (in dB) could be an option, i.e. having smaller steps in dB when volume is low and then increasing to current step size as volume goes up?
When clicking on the button to show my Queue, it should bring up the current song being played. Instead, it brings up the start of the queue, forcing me to scroll and visibly “search” for the current song playing within my queue.
Buenas tardes, estoy intentando activar el asistente de voz y me da continuamente un error. Revisando mi cuenta he detectado que me aparece una ID distinta a la que me aparece en la app. Cómo se puede cambiar? Puede ser ese el error? Ruego me ayuden, gracias saludos
