Hi,I just purchased a new Arc Ultra and LG G5 OLED 65”. I have connected the Ultra to the eARC HDMI (2) of the TV using the supplied cable. On setup using the app, I received the message, “A device is interfering with the HDMI connection. Disconnect any other home theater products, then try again.” I have 2 other devices attached by HDMI, a Virgin cable box and an Xbox One. I removed all other HDMI devices and tried again but still received an error on setup telling me it can’t find eARC this time. The Ultra is, however, playing sound from all of the sources that I ask it to despite the TV setup failing every time. I’ve tried power cycling, ensuring Simplink is on, etc. but just can’t get it to complete setup. It’s incredibly frustrating. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
System:Living Room: Playbase (wired to router) with 2 x One in surroundBedroom: Sonos OneBedroom: Sonos OneMancave: Sonos ConnectKitchen: ERA300 I recently replaced the Kitchen speaker to the ERA300 from a Sonos One and in order to get the ERA working, I had to connect via wifi to 5ghz. Problem is, that I use a Universal Remote with a hub (Harmony) which needs the Sonos to be on 2.4ghz in order to control volume in the Living Room, so currently I have no control of Sonos volume via this remote. Before installing the ERA300, all worked just fine. Any idea how I can set this up please? There might be a setting to allow traffic between the two wifi networks maybe? I use Ubiquiti and there’s only 1 AP in the house.
This app is terrible . And there’s barely a work around even the AirPlay doesn’t work for the speakers . After playing one song on AirPlay my phone tells me it can’t connect to the server . So when I use the app I have to deal with this terrible user interface . Why can’t I just go to my songs on Apple Music and play all of my songs on shuffle ? The search function is terrible as well and not organized . I don’t understand how all of the users have been having the same issues and Sonos has done nothing . I saw a post saying the same thing from 3 years ago ?? What company doesn’t listen to its customers and still has the nerve to charge a thousand dollars for a sound bar . I guess that’s why they’re all on Facebook market .
I just spent a little over an hour with the sonos support team. I can get every single band to work using the Relisten service through my sonos app. But it will not play any Widespread Panic. The help desk told me to contact Relisten. That it was a Relisten and Widespread Panic only issue. I found this to be, once again, Sonos not taking responsibility for its actions. Before the new Sonos App came out a year ago, I never once had an issue. I just read the latest announcement from sonos management. I guess that applies to everybody except Panic fans. I'm very disappointed in being dismissed like that. Its a damn sonos problem and has been for a year now.
I have an arc ultra with era 300 and dual subs. Can there be an update in the future for us to have up to 4 subs connected to arc ultra and era 300 in home theater setup. Thanks
Play five gen 2 wifi card is bad. Only solution is get a 30% discount for a new speaker that can’t be paired with my current system. So basically my very expensive Sonos “wireless” speaker is now junk. Guess I’ll be selling the rest of my equipment and buying a system that actually works. Thanks for the trash product, Sonos.
Whenever I ask voice control to play a song it plays a different one. I tried rebooting it but it still doesn’t work. If anyone knows how to fix it please share it with me!🤔🙏
Has anyone else noticed that the new Playlist Editing feature isn’t working correctly? Here is the sequence I followed;Using latest Android App Version 80.20.33 OS version 85.0.64200I added a sonos playlist to the queue, (quite large 150 tracks).Since you can no longer edit the queue in situ and then save the results as a new playlist (or overwrite the original) I resorted to opening the playlist into Edit mode whilst the music was playing from the queue.I then tried to edit the playlist and what I noticed was that several of the tracks were not showing up in the Edit Playlist view even though they were playing in the queue so I know that the playlist originally contained the tracks. I closed the playlist edit function and tried again - the playlist definitely has the tracks yet when I try to edit the playlist some of them don’t appear. I repeated this multiple times and the problem was inconsistent with different tracks disappearing during the edit process. There was nothing special
I’ve been away from this community for a while due to the slow Sonos updates. After some time you just give up and hope down the road something is done to address the issues you care about. I am once again going to state the most important issue I would like to see addressed. Please fix the not so perfect gapless playback when playing ATMOS music that requires a seamless transition when changing tracks. A clicking noise or very short silent portion is unacceptable. The best test of this is any Atmos version of Stravinsky: The Rite of Spring. The transition between track 2 & 3 is obvious.
Airplaying from macOS to an Era 100 does not work. The speaker is discovered, but when I try to select it, I get a generic error saying “Could not connect to “<Speaker name>””.This is highly specific to macOS (laptops in my case, 3 of them) and the Era 100.Using Airplay on macOS to my other Sonos products (Port, Beam, Play:1) works without issue. Direct play from Spotify on macOS to the Era 100 works as well.Likewise using Airplay from an iPhone to the Era 100 works.Sonos chat support was unfortunately unable to help after extensive troubleshooting, will have to call in, but judging by other posts, this seems to be a Sonos issue considering its specific to one speaker model. If anyone has had any luck getting an answer from their phone support it would be appreciated to post the solution here. Otherwise I fear that there is nothing to do but wait for Sonos engineers to prioritize this.
Why in the new app when you open the queue doesn’t the song that’s playing automatically populate to the middle of the screen like it used to? When I open the queue now it always starts at the top so if I have a long playlist I have to scroll through to figure out where I’m at. And it’s not overly obvious which song is playing.
I don’t understand quite how none of these three things manage to truly work together or deliver on their promise. I tell myself it’s great that these things work together at all. But more often than not:Airplaying to multiple speakers in Mac Music doesn’t work reliably. Even when they do connect to 3+ simultaneous sources, they often cut out. Meanwhile, in the Sonos app it is far more reliable connecting to speakers, even after playback has started somewhere else. But then I can’t see all my playlists — some are missing even after reauthorizing. So I’m forced to do things like start music in Mac Music, then switch over to Sonos to make sure that it’s playing where I want. Because I can’t reliably use airplay there to start playback on multiple speakers. Usually it taps out after two sources. Is that because the Sonos App isn’t leveraging airplay at all, instead its own internal 2.4GHz network? Why wouldn’t Sonos be able to see all my playlists?
I recently purchased a Sonos Arc. Connected to LG Model TV. Problem I’m having is sometimes the sound switches back to TV internal speaker. The workaround is to then go into the tv settings and switch back to HDMI as the audio output. Anyone else having this issue? Not the worst issue, but considering the premium price tag of the ARC I would expect better compatibility.
I have one account for my S1 and another account for my S2. Both have their own network, players and of course the sonos system/speakers.How is it possible that if I play music from another system and I start to play music from the other as well, it cuts off the first one? It happends both ways.
I have a Humax set top box, and the volume controls appears as a bar along the bottom of the screen. Since installing a Sonos Arc Ultra the bar has dissapeared and the volume is just a + and - on the main screen. Does anyone know how the get the bar along the bottom back. Thanks.
Quisiera saber que sub es suficiente para un espacio cerrado de 16m^2?El sub mini, hasta que área es bueno?El sub 4 a partir de que área se recomienda?Que tanta diferencia presencial se siente entre ambos? Gracias por su ayuda Moderator Note: Google Translate- I'd like to know which sub is sufficient for a 16m^2 enclosed space?Up to what area is the mini sub good? From what area is the sub 4 recommended? How much of a difference in presence is there between the two?Thank you for your help.
We have been very patient with Sonos to fix the app that controls the Sonos system. The app frequently disconnects and cannot find the speakers. When it is connected trying to change the volume is either very very slow or will not work. Same goes for trying to change the channel. Will Sonos ever do a proper job and have a working full functional app for their system, or should we give up with Sonos.?
Hello currently building a custom sauna, and I wanted to install Sonos speakers in the sauna. it’s been impossible to get a direct answer from Sonos whether or not they make speakers that can withstand the humidity and heat of a sauna. Does anyone know if you can use Sonos speakers in a sauna? When I did a chat with customer support, they said they don’t have any products they recommend, but I’ve seen lots of people have Sonos products in their sauna
I have a personal playlist on Amazon Music Unlimited of approx 300 songs. Whilst it can be loaded into Sonos via the Sonos App if shuffle is selected only 200 tracks are queued (recent additions to the playlist are not included in the shuffle). Is this a known issue that will be fixed in future?
Love the new conversation starter. Another innovative feature from Sonos.
Currently building a house and am setting up my 41’ x 18’ L/R, D/R, Kitchen with Sonos. I have an Arc Ultra going over the FP, base next to it.. Thinking (2) 6” in ceiling speakers for rears but debating kitchen/dining room area.. 2 diagrams attached.. was going to go with number 2 but now considering number 1 in Mono mode.. thoughts? not putting over the dining room table, chandelier.. Thanks!
If you are missing the Alarms tab in the iPhone iOS app normally found in Settings, here is one possible reason and solution:Location permissions is off therefore the Date & Time time zone is not set. This will result in the Alarms tab disappearing from your system settings. You can either set location permissions to either “while using the app” or “always on” in your iPhone settings OR manually set your time zone, within the Sonos app, in the Date & Time tab found under Settings/General Settings/Date & Time. It took me hours using Chat support and Phone technical support (including uninstalling and reinstalling the app, restarting my iPhone, trying to set up Alarms on my laptop Sonos app (which did not work), sending diagnostics, amongst the many other failed attempts to resolve this issue) before I discovered the solution myself. Hopefully this will save someone else hours of grief.
Home Theater finally complete , was looking forward to my new SONOS immersive sound experience, hung my new Sony Bravia 8 (which sat unboxed, purchased on sale in February during sales event) and the TV had a white line down the left side of screen. Sony tried to fix remotely and ultimately the TV wouldn't turn on at all. Sony said the panel was damaged and would not cover it under warranty, $2600.00 down the toilet. Needless to say I will not buy another Sony. Looking for your recommendations for a 77” OLED (very dark theater room in basement). I know Sony’s 2023 A95L was rated the best for past 2 years, but I’m not going there. TV use will be mostly Sports/Movies/Regular Use (no gaming). Now looking at LG’s or Samsung’s. I have read just about every review on 2025 TV’s but as you all know one can drive themselves bonkers. Appreciate the Sonos communities help/recommendations!
Hi All,Sonos Desktop - v17.0Sonos - S2 Build 85064200Windows 10, Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045For a while now the desktop app has been duplicating playlists. All duplicates have the same content and are playable. I have tried previously to remove and re-add the playlists in Apple Music. I have deleted the service from Sonos and reconnected it also. This only happens with playlists, Apple Music albums are not duplicated. Also, the Apple own playlists do not duplcate, on the user created playlists. I have reset the controller as well as uninstalling it and reinstalling it.Has anyone else seen this and found a fix? Thanks Moderator edit: Diagnostic number recorded and removed
