Hi, I have a Sonos Beam soundbar right now and want to buy Sonos speakers for the rest of my apartment. I plan to therefore buy two Sonos Era 100 speakers. But will I be able to sync the sound with these speakers with the Sonos beam?
I have 3 amps. When I move them downstairs beside the wifi the app fails to see them. When they are in the living room the app sees them. When they are in the basement the eventually have a solid white led. Any ideas?
Our house music system is a combination of Play 1 and 3 (generation that works with current app I think 2).We’d like to add a turntable as cheaply as possible without sacrificing music quality, probably secondhand from eBay. What would you suggest? My partner has bidding on Play 5 Gen 2 but these get quite expensive even used. Will other Sonos components connect to a turntable? The other aspect is I’m finding fewer apps are connecting directly to the Sonos system, I have to play via the Sonos app. Which is the cheapest/oldest speaker/component that connects to Airplay?
Imagine if you could EVEN order your playlists? I mean, it's gotten to the point, where what IS the point of having great sounding speakers through out the house...when the controller of the music you can play is awful. Remember using the alphabet? Imagine if you could organize your music like cd’s or records of yore. Or, at least, imagine if it was more compatible with the dynamic players who on the flip side don’t have speakers. Like Soundcloud, or Spotify or Tidal. It’s like, hit play, and guess what will come out, guess which speakers will connect on any given day...because there is no control. Why oh why won’t Sonos build interface that is respectful of music and music listeners? Please????
Arc won’t unmute after Apple TV remote mutes the volume
I rename it over and over, yet it always reverts. I rename it in the system settings for that speaker under the old name to the new name. Looks OK for awhile.Then...THE HORROR! It’s back! Again and again and again and again and again.God have mercy on my soul.
Grazie mille
My speaker groups drop out and come back whenever I start music or skip a track (Apple Music and Spotify). And sometimes just randomly. Based on what I’ve read here, it seemes like a Wi-Fi interface issue, and I have followed every suggestion, to no avail. But today I realized that the problem is nonexistent when playing records via the analog-in on one of the two Fives. I’m praying that this info, in the right hands, might help me finally sort out the dropout issues when streaming.
I bought my Play:3 in early 2015. It was a good experience for a while, but that began to change years ago, as it did for many users, and I’m now on the verge of tossing the device in e-waste.Some mornings, when I try to connect, my Play:3 functions properly. Most mornings, it doesn't. I wish I could say I enjoy the surprise. When I try to connect, the connection error says: "Not Connected. No products found on [name of my network]." Sonos support typically says it's a network problem -- it isn't. When I can't connect, I run speedtest and it's always fine. No other device on my network is erratic. The next step is to click System settings. The following page repeats the Not Connected message. "Your system not found on [network]. Make sure your device is connected to the same network that Sonos is connected to." (It is.) "If you have made any changes to your router, update the network settings on your product." And there's an Update Network button.Clicking that brings mt to "Update the ne
Right, need some advice please. Current setup in a large conservatory I have stereo pair of fives at one end and stereo pair of ones at the other end, currently group together when playing music. I have just ordered a beam gen 2 and a sub gen 4. What would be the best setup, music would be the priority over TV. Do I pair the sub to the 5s then group the ones and the beam to play music, or pair the sub to the beam and then group the 5s and the 1s to play all together. Or setup with beam as 5.1 and put 5s as the rears and set to full playback for music. Any advice would be appreciated
puis je dans un premier temps combiner, mon arc ultra mon mini caisson, a une seule era300 pour un effet virtuel (je sais qu’il n’y aira pas de stéréo, attendant la deuxième financièrement parlant merci
How can I raise the volume on my era 100's while not raising the volume on my arc ultra?
Hi @Everyone - looking for advice to add a turntable to my setup: I do not own one yet, so pretty open minded; having said that I like the Pro-Ject turnables, and I understand that the T2 W has a pre-amp and WIFI connectivity which seems perfect to stream to Sonos speakers.I cannot find the T2 W on the Sonos UK site, but found it here: https://www.richersounds.com/pro-ject-t2-w-black/My current Sonos setup with 2x Era300, 2x Era100, Sub4, and soundbar ultra across my lounge, dinning and open plan kitchen. All speakers are wall mounted (except from the sub obviously), so not an “easy” job if I was to put a cable to connect a turnable to one of them.Questions:Is there an option to connect a turntable wirelessly to Sonos to avoid having to add another Era100 to wire it in? Is the T2 W not available via Sonos, and is there not a “cheaper” option to buy a T2 and connect it to a Sonos compatible streamer instead? Beyond Pro-Ject, any other suggestions?BR, Lio
So it was dead. But though a bit of googleing i got it to show charging... but now it never seems to charge and will not turn on even if plugged in. Any suggestions!?
I have bought a Sonos Ray, Cant connect it to the WIFI apparently Sonos Ray doesn’t work with WIFI 7 does anyone know a work round
Hi there, just gotten my first Sonos product, a soundbar. I am testing the app right now and listen to a few songs.I am wondering how to scrobble the music I am listening to to last.fm though. Somehow I cannot find an integration. This is a huge surprise to be honest since every audio device or software I used in the past 20 years supported scrobbling. Not having scrobbling on the soundbar is annoying but it will mainly play movies. But when there is no scrobbling I cannot take Sonos serious as a music player and won’t get any other speakers which I will use for music listening. So any help for scrobbling is appreciated, and if its not possible take this post as a feature request.Cheers!
I’ve just ordered an AWOL Aetherion max projector, and I’m planning on an Arc ultra and Era 300 set up. I’ve just got off the phone with Sonos and they told me that their products are designed for use with TV’s not projectors and that there could be a syncing issue if I try and connect this set up to a UST projector. The projector does have an HDMI eArc connector. Before I spend a lot of money can anyone advise me if there may be some truth in what Sonos are saying or would I expect no problems at all? Thanks
First issue you don't have a category for Beam 2 on you user group signup!Second issue, I have my TV mounted on an arm so that I can move it, and I can't find a speaker mount that fits the Beam 2, and ideas?Beginning to regret buying Beam 2 - I have purchased and returned SANUS and other brands, they claim to to have a universal bracket but it doesn't fit. a and SANUS support is appalling' nah sorry non-existent.
What does the exclamation sign in the battery signal mean?Sometimes when my Roam2 is loading the batterie at the batterie sign appears an exclamation sign instead the flash which indicates the batterie is loading, on both cases (the flash & the exclamation sign) the percentage of batterie appears on aside. Thanks for your help.
I almost only play Applemusic on my Sonos. I prefer to use AirPlay because to me it seems that if I play directly from the Sonos app, my plays are not registered in Apple Replay. Recently played songs are not listed in Apple Musics recently played list. Neither can I see my songs played in stats.fm Does anybody know if there is a way to register that? I would like to play from the Sonos app but I will not lose my “history” by doing that. K.R. John
I’ve read some of the threads on here about Airplay 1 support being broken with a firmware, which, if I’m reading correctly, have been resolve? I’m not sure if my issue is related but I’ll try to describe it as best I can.I have an Era 100 that I purchased several years back, and which I use pretty exclusively by Airplaying from Lyrion Music Server with the Airplay Bridge plugin (which uses ROAP protocol). I just purchased a second Era 100, and opened up my Sonos app for the first time in years so that I could set it up. While I was at it I updated the software on my older Era 100, and now both speakers are running version 93.1-74010. This was the first time I updated the software on the older speaker since I bought it, and maybe that’s why I never ran into the issue where an update broke Airplay 1 support for over a year or so.But now I find that the older speaker works with Airplay 1 just fine, but the newer one does not. Both speakers can be used as a device from the Spotify app on
A couple weeks ago after a firmware update, my Arc stopped communicating with the ERA100 surrounds. After a few days of hoping the problem would correct itself, no such luck. The error was “not connected’ for the surrounds. After trying several simple fixes (reboot, etc.) I ended up resetting the surrounds to factory. The Arc was working normally so I didn’t do anything to it.After a number of failures with the same result, I called tech (non)support. Their analysis of the diagnostics was that the surrounds weren’t getting an ip address. We have a commercial grade infrastructure with a central dhcp server and multiple Aruba access points. The subnet is 255.255.0.0. The Arc is 10.11.190.x and the surrounds are 10.11.187.x, which are in the same subnet. The next step they want is a “complete network layout or network map. Including the make and the model of router.” For security, I hesitate to give such total information to anybody. So next, I took the surround additions step by step. Af
Is anyone in Sonos support aware of the following intermittent AirPlay bug that has been introduced as of iOS 26.2? There appear to be quite a few people experiencing it, including me on two independent, physically disjoint Sonos systems. While it is likely to be a bug introduced on the Apple side of the connection, with networking you never know for sure, so perhaps Sonos support should reach out to Apple about it.AirPlay Bug Report on RedditDave Ings
Google Assistant no longer controls the volume on my Sonos One. Typical dialog:Q: OK Google. What’s the volume?A: The volume is set at 75%Q: OK Google, set volume 50%A: Got it(no change)Q: OK Google. What’s the volume?A: The volume is set at 75%Q: OK Google. Lower the volume.A: OKQ: OK Google. What’s the volume?A: The volume is set at 75%
Sigh. Apologies for being a wet blanket, but after I got the Android lock screen controls, I thought it would be somewhat useful. But,after a few days, I find I don’t make use of it, and it takes a great deal of space in the notification pane. Also, it seems to come and go; it is not consistently there when I play something. Worse, I see now that there’s a musical note icon on my Pixel watch that brings up a mini Sonos controller. This might be useful; however, it is located in the same place as the notification dot, and with my fat finger I am constantly bringing up the controller when I want the notification. I can’t find a way to disable having this on my watch. So, I’d like to disable the lock screen on the app, but I see no way of doing that. Perhaps it is a phone setting, but I haven’t been able to find that either. Any help would be appreciated. I’m on a Pixel 10 and a Pixel 3 watch BTW.
