I have two problems when setting alarms. The first is a recent one. When choosing a music source, I used to be able to choose from my whole set of services as an option. For instance I could pick a Spotify playlist or artist radio. Now, I’m given a very narrow list of options with no detail ( like “playlist 1” for instance). Secondarily if I choose a Sirius Xm station, the alarm will revert back to Sonos chime. I understand the problem you got yourself Into with the botched rearchitecture, but why do you keep breaking simple tertiary features every time you make a change.
New Era100 owner. I want to use voice control for BBC Radio stations (BBC Sounds).I do not want to use Alexa.Have I bought the wrong product?
I noticed that sometimes the content key changes the volume by 1 and other times it changes the volume by 4. Why does it do this?
How to lower down volume of 1 era speaker from stereo pair.
I have a stand alone turntable/ receiver combo whose speakers are no longer functional. I have a separate receiver with Sonos connect in another room that can play through a 5.1 surround system or Room 2 stereo speakers. Since the turntable is in the far end of the house and needs to stay there, I’d like to connect it wirelessly to the Sonos Connect. The Brennan VB1 looks to be the top choice...any others devices or approach suggestions would be appreciated.
What do I need to hard wire my eras 100 to my Mac mini and achieve stereo. Thanks in advance.
Pro-ject carbon turntable to am/fm tuner to 5? I’m trying to figure out this setup. i have two 5s, currently with a line in from the turntable. I’m worried adding a tuner into the mix will bring issues with turntable audio quality without an amplifier. I purchased an ADCOM GTP 400, and it needs an antenna to work getting local broadcast l, but when I tried to play a record, it sounded awful.I want to stream local baseball games from time to time, so I want to keep the budget reasonable, but absolutely open to investing in quality equipment and can return the Adcom if I need something different. Any advice from the community?
Hi,I bought a Move 2 recently and it's a great speaker. However, I noticed when switched off (long press on the back button until it chimes and disappears from app) it loses 2% charge a day. I contacted support who initially decided to replace the unit. The second unit arrived but it's behaving the same way. They're now saying it's expected. Weird.Considering 3 hours of playtime at volume 40 uses about 10% of the battery that means, when it should be off, it's losing about 35mins of play time...a day.I intend to use the speaker when outside gardening or away from the house. I don't want it sitting on a charger all the time, nor do I want the battery totally drained, neither of which are healthy for batteries. I assume the official line will be something like "even when powered off is still doing some stuff" but why? That's what sleep mode is for. Its a portable speaker. If I turn it off it should be off and and drain levels should match what you would normally expect with a rechargeabl
I have a Sonos One and a Roam speaker. Both have voice, and I use Sonos Voice control. My main source is BBC iPlayer (also use Deezer) but will not use Big Tech products - one reason I bought the Sonos was that the Voice facility is local not cloud/BigTech based. The speaker won’t recognise a request to turn on BBC iPlayer, so I have to do that through the app (half a billion users of BBC haven’t got through to Sonos..!) but previously, if I ask it to turn on, it would have turned on whatever was previously playing. Now, it just says “this speaker is not a home movie product”…Obviously, something has changed from the Sonos end...does anybody know what?
As of a couple days ago I can no longer connect to PLEX. I get“Something went wrong. Try Again” when click on artists from my favoritesand“No content items available” when clicking on Plex iconI can cast to my sonos speakers from the Plex app (not plexamp) on my computer. If gone through all the suggested steps I could find from the internet. I guess my question is to see if anyone else is experiencing it or if it's just me (and for how long). If its everyone, then hopefully its (another) screw up and they’ll get around to fixing it eventually. super frustrating that something that has worked for years just stopped working especially when its the reason I went with Sonos.
Watched an old Marx Brothers movie DVD last night. The DVD box stated it was Dolby Digital 1.0. So I expected that to get sound out of my Beam Gen 1 I would have to change the sound output from my Bluray player from Bitstream to PCM. But it worked on Bitstream! The Sonos App was showing the sound as Doby Digital 1.0I had reported this as a problem with support, as had other people. Now it appears to have been quietly fixed. Don’t know when but must be fairly recently. Previously reported here
My Sonos beam 2nd gen. DOES NOT pair with my samsung android phone!
Is anyone having problems with the BBC Sounds and Sonos One SL speakers just keep stop playing. I have two older Sonos Play 1 and they are fine. I have had to reset the One SL speakers twice this week to even be able to see them on the App. But still won't keep playing.
I’m installing a brand new entertainment center that will be very nice with stone and white oak. I do NOT want a sound-bar mounted on the stone below the TV. Therefore, I’m looking at in-ceiling speakers. This is for a 5.1 setup (which I believe means I need two Sonos amps). Everything I have read is that a center channel speaker in the ceiling isn’t ideal. However, my guess is that most of those opinions are from serious audiophiles. For a family room setup is it really that big of a deal? If not, which speaker should I use for the center channel?
I’m having issues whereby nothing in the Sonos Pocketcast plugin is syncing too or from my Pocketcast app / account. I see this was a problem previously but threads have been closed for comment, but a quick search of the internet shows this is still a problem for other users also. Is there a solution?
My cafe relies on Google Calendar alerts for its daily tasks. How can I make the alarms sound off on my speakers?
Hi Guys.I have about 8 Sonos speakers in various locations around the house. Of current concern is a Play1 in the Master bedroom. I set an alarm on this speaker with the S1 app before it was called the S1 app - probably about 10 years ago if not more. 6 days a week (I have Saturdays off) it streams a local radio station from 6:30 am for two and a half hours - so it shuts off at 9 when everyone has either gone to work, or should be up in the office if they are working from home that day. If I hear it stop, I know I’m late into my home office. For more than a decade it has worked like clockwork.2 or 3 months ago it started shutting off randomly. Its supposed to run for 150 minutes, but might go for 45, might go for 10, this morning it only went for about 2 minutes before cutting off. Sometimes it substitutes the stream for the chime when the radio cuts out (like this morning) but usually it doesn’t - just stops. The one thing it hasn’t done in the last three month is just run for the ful
I have an existing Sonos system with a play base and play:1s as rears in the living room and several play:1s throughout the house in different rooms.I am considering upgrading to the arc ultra, era300 rears and a sub 4 for the living room. Are there any issues using “one” sonos app to control the new arc ultra, era300 & sub 4 with the old play:1 speakers throughout the house? I understand they will work separately for movies, but will music work in all speakers for the entire house with one app?
I currently have two Sonance outdoor speakers connected in parallel to a single channel of a Sonos Amp. I’d like to add a third speaker for a patio space. I see that the Amp is approved to connect three Sonance speakers but I’m wondering if I can connect a third 8-ohm non-Sonance speaker in parallel to the system? I’d consider adding a third Sonance outdoor speaker but it appears they’re only available in pairs.
I’ve used the system in my workdays for some years now, and love it, but notice that when I played playlists controlled from my streamdecks I would have intermittent drop outs and cuts, like the left/right/sub would independently drop and then come back after a few seconds.I had searched a lot, dont many updates, restarting my router and all the satellites in the mesh, nothing worked. At this point, if you’re hoping theres a silver bullet, sorry, BUT. I recently got a mate who had been playing with music generation online, and I really liked the stuff he made so got a copy of it onto my main pc, and added the folder as a music library in the sonos app. Other than having some of the worst playlist management options I’ve ever seen, like having to remove and re-add a library source to update it…. it HAS NEVER CUT OUT. I only just realised it this morning as yesterday I’d hit a different playlist and had the cut out but didnt make the connection. So I figure its either the sonos linkage w
All 7 speakers were working fine on my Eero system. Then my internet went out and the technician said it was because of a programming glitch (Internet service providers recently changed hands). But he fixed it and now internet works and my Eero network is also working and even shows that the Sonos speakers are connected. However, the sonos app will not recognize ANY of them. I have 1 hardwired direct to the Eero hub and it still is not seen. In the sonos app, i am logged in, i have deleted and reinstalled the app, and Content Services in Sonos remains grayed out. When i go to spotify (which also is up to date) and tap the icon to connect to sonos, there is nothing. How do i get content services showing? how do i get this damned nightmare of a system to recognize speakers (and yes i did a factory reset)
Trying sonos play 1
How will the two Sonos Play speakers behave in stereo mode, but connected by a USB-C/AUX adapter to TV?
One of the things that I really about Mac is being able to seamlessly select a Sonos speaker from Control Center to enjoy better audio than my MacBook Pro provides. That has worked well until yesterday. Now when I select a Sonos speaker (in this case an Era 100), audio works for 1-2 seconds and then it stops. The speaker still appears in Control Center and I can adjust the volume slider, but there’s no audio.I think I’ve narrowed down the issue. Yesterday I installed a Sonnet 10GbE Thunderbolt adapter. When that’s plugged in, I run into the issue with audio to the Sonos cutting off. If I unplug the adapter, the audio works as expected. What’s the solution?
My Sonos app is not working, it’s appears to load during too much time. I’ve to reset my symfonysk but isn’t working
