Now you can only enable or disable status light for the speaker that played the right/left sound when doing the stereo setup.

If you want to turn both steps light on or off you have to disable the stereo pair.

Set each speaker status light on or off and then do the stereo pairing again.

Still you can only control the speaker played the right/left sound.

That suggests an issue with your speaker communicating commands back to the router. The first thing I’d try is a network refresh. Unplug all of your Sonos devices, then reboot the router. Wait two minutes, then plug back in your Sonos devices. Wait another two minutes, then test. That normally should fix the issue.

If it doesn’t, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. Don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.
