Not sure I understand the question. Sonos works by making the ‘player’ of the source in the speaker, not in the controller, so the controller is merely a remote to see what is going on on the system that runs at the speaker level.

That being said, if I’m interpreting your question properly, most devices that generate a Bluetooth signal generate one, and not multiples. Which means it can either be connected to your in car stereo, or the Sonos, but not both.

While the new Play claims to connect to other Plays when using Bluetooth, there is no indication that it will connect to other Bluetooth receivers, so you would still not be able to connect both to a Sonos Play and a car stereo at the same time.

Since Sonos isn’t a ‘player’, but a remote control to the system on your speakers, it’s hard to ‘integrate’ a player in Bluetooth. You’d probably need to have the car makers integrate a Sonos connection, which would require a WiFi connection of some type. Probably incredibly challenging to implement, but the individual car manufacturers would need to contact Sonos to start. I wouldn’t hold my breath, but anything is possible, if not really financially feasible.

For safety reasons I would not want an object in my car that is not secured to anything. In case of an accident this can have serious consequences. And radio manufactures would not sell extra speakers giving you this option, while opening themselves up to lawsuits. I would not hold my breath for this feature.
