I've recently set my Sonos One Gen 2 as default speaker to my Google Nest 2nd Gen, without any issues and playing music though Spotify is fine but I can't stop it by voice command, can anyones help?
What should the behavior of the status light be on the Sonos Ace headphones? My understanding is that when you aren’t wearing them you should see the status light illuminated. If so, that is not what I am currently observing. The only time I see the status light is when I turn on or off the headphones. It will turn blue for a second. Or when I have it plugged in to charge it shows a solid orange light (only when device is turned off). I have tried leaving the headphones on and forgetting the bluetooth connection to my phone. Should this not show a solid white light? Again, this is not what I am experiencing.
It keeps telling me to log in as the owner and I do it but it don’t change
Hi. I bought three Sonos speakers about 6 months ago. And, was loving it. But, the new app is more demanding than the past. It asks me to open my Bluetooth each time I open it. The old one didn’t do that. I got a Roam for outside and it has a hard time finding it to a point where I’m hardly using it. I also haven’t figured out how to have one station in one room and a different station in another. The old app was very easy. Any suggestions?
Hi there,It’s pretty clear after the last shockingly untested software release that rendered my 12 Sonos speakers useless from one day to the next that I need to look for alternatives to replace what used to be a somewhat cool, yet always slightly buggy system.Any brand recommendations for wireless home speakers that actually work from a brand that actually cares for its customer base? Has anyone tried anything from Bose? Thanks in advance.
I have a Sonos setup with two Play3 and three Play1 and also one Roam. When my wife has started a playlist and I connect through the app, I can't see what's playing. No music. The queue is empty. So I can't stop the music or change it.We have Sonos on two floors and our WiFi consist of an Orbi router and two satellites. The Orbi app shows excellent connection and upload/download is also good.So why isn't it working for me? And everything started after the latest update...
We bought a Beam last year to improve the sound on our telly. We bought an old smartphone so we could download the app as neither of us owns a smartphone. Sadly we now can’t update the app (after only a few months) so we can’t change the settings on thr Beam (e.g. turning off night mode). So my question: how can I change the settings on my Beam when I don’t have a smartphone? Surely it is not a requirement? If so, that needs to be made MUCH clearer when buying Sonos products.
Hi,Apologies if I am being an idiot but this has now driven me a little madI have had Sonos for some years now and over that time have added to it.I have a Play 3, 5 1 and a playbar.Historically I have changed my internet providers and had no issues.Due to having issues with unwonted connections I decided to rename my network and change password, reconnect everything and al would be well and it pretty much went like that for everything except Sonos.I was expecting it to say no system blah blah, have a change network, sign it in and be away but no, it refuses to locate any of my speakers. If I plug one in to the network its fine, finds all the speakers and works as it did, then I go into the manage networks, I deleted old networks and was expecting it top locate my new network and then just connect to it but when it searches it is searching for a speaker and failing to find one even though it is on and playing music from its wired connection, I was expecting the search to locate my WiFi
I often have trouble with the new app connecting to our system. The app also randomly adjusts the volume of our speakers and sometimes removes speakers from groups. I’ve tried using the system update option in the app but that has not corrected the problems.
Have a spotiy premium family account with 5 users. How do I add each user to sonos app so they can listen to their own playlists?
The + and - volume buttons are not working on my move speaker.I think all icons on top no longer work.My speaker item is #616MOVEBK…4 years old.Any help is appreciated.
Hello, For some time i have issues while updating my home setup. I have two Era 300, Arc, and Sub (v3) setup. All equipment are in same room as my router but one speaker of Era 300 and Sub is not updating. (With new app i got error 1000, but same issues i had and with old app). One way to get workaround on this is to remove surround, hard reset non updating equipment and then re-add to my system. In this case on initial setup it ask for update and updates completes. Then i can add it back to surround. But this is frustraiting as i have to do this every time plus trueplay setup is lost. Please advise on this.
Hanged my wifi network and a Play 1 will not show the flashing orange light required to find and add to my systemmy Play5 and another Play1 reset fine
Roam 2 flashing green and white holding holding play/pause button and it is not detected
Why does volume level greatly vary by cable channel?
I don't appear to be able to update my Music Library using the new App. Any ideas?
We have our ensuite and bedroom speakers set up on the same amp, the smaller speaker in the bedroom sounds great, the one in the bedroom sounds like the base has been lost, sounds awful and quiet…help.
I bought a Sonos arc and just want to add it to my Sonos app, when I follow all the steps until I can select my location (after connecting to the network) then I get the 1.101 error. And the device is not showing in the app. when I then download the Sonos s1 app it recognizes the arc soundbar but an error shows ‘not compatible’. I don’t understand why it shows on the s1 app, but I can’t do anything with it, and on my normal Sonos app it doesn’t show… already tried factory resetting, restarting router, deleting app,…. anyone the same issue and has a solution??
I just purchased a sonos ray soundbar, i have tried to connect it to my samsung tv (oled) and it is saying it is “unable to update” i have tried numerous times to connect it and am still struggling
Are there any plans to correct the hideous app update? CRAZY for sonos to alienate its customers. maybe their pants have gotten to big and they just don’t give a crap. where to start, hum, volume controller is not responsive and jumps all over the place and with 10 speakers tied into the system it is a cluster. why were the volume indicating numbers removed from the volume controller? how am i supposed to tell if the 10 speakers are set at the same volume level without them with with the non-responsive volume controller? why was the timer removed? SONOS wake, your user in revolt. SONOS post whether you are listening or not. if it is time for me to look for a new sound system i would like to know now so that i can stop cursing you a thousand times day... love the company write-up on the update..the new app will be easier and better...liars...did they ask seasoned users to take part their little market research...no...some AH checked a box and got a raise...
Ich hatte Diverse Sender abgespeichert, jetzt sind sie zwar noch hier aber ich kann keinen einzigen abspielen! Kann ich wieder auf das alte System zurück? Moderator Note: Added translation by Google Translate- I had saved various stations, now they are still here but I can't play a single one! Can I go back to the old system?
I just installed a Sonos Amp connected to a pair of Sonos Architectural Ceiling Speakers (8”). The setup seems to work fine and plays correctly. However when I try to detect the Architectural Speakers, I get an error that they cannot be found. “Make sure you’re connected to the same wireless network as Sonos, and give it another try.”My Sonos Amp is hardwired to my router via the network port but on the same home network. My phone running the Sonos app is obviously wireless. Is the error message literal? Does my amp really need to be wirelss? If so, does it get even crazier and do they both need to be on either 2.4 or 5 band?
hi, i’ve recently bought an echo dot and am only just now starting to use alexa.i’ve got a group in my living room containing of 2 sonos 100, a sonos arc and a sub 3. for some reason, when telling alexa to lower the volume, she only reacts by lowering the volume on one of the speakers. even if i tell her to lower volume in the living room. i believe she might only be lowering the sound of the one she recognizes my voice on. so maybe she hasn’t really registered the living room speakers as a group even though it is a group in sonos app.greatful for any kind of help.
Hi, Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. I am a huge music listener but, on the whole, consider myself fairly tech illiterate. I just got married and our first gift to ourselves was a Sony 65” Bravia 4K OLED XR A80L. My dad wanted to buy a soundbar for us, and he planned to gift us the JBL Bar 700, which he currently owns and I’ve listened to before. After chatting with the salesman at Best Buy, I decided to go with the Sonos Arc instead. He mentioned that I would not necessarily need a sub woofer, but I knew it’s something I would eventually get. After setting it up, I’m honestly pretty disappointed with the overall sound quality. Even with the volume in the 80s listening to music, I expected it to sound…more full? The bass seems to be lacking and overall it just sounds kind of hollow and again, nowhere near as loud as I would expect for how high I turned it up. I’ve read lots of Reddit threads and the answers to this topic seem to be all over the place, ranging from ot
