I find the new Sonos app hard to use & I don’t like it. How do I update my music library and can I go back to the S1 app which wasn’t broke & worked well for me?
I have a bluetooth transmitter tied to my stereo amp. it’s an Avantree Oasis long range similar to this one: https://avantree.com/products/oasis-plus-bluetooth-transmitter-for-tv it pairs flawlessly with my Bose headphones and Bose mini speaker. (I use this mostly with my Cocktail Audio music streamer that now houses all my CDs, Casettes, 8-tracks, Reel to Reel, and vinyl!). When i pair with my Move, i get an acknowledgement tone from both devices but then nothing comes out of the Move. Very disappointed in this. I’ve placed the Move and the transmitter within two feet of each other, confirmed it is functioning with my Bose bluetooth devices, etc etc… Move Bluetooth works fine with my iPhone. Might there be some incompatibility between Bluetooth formats between the Move and the transmitter? I’m stumped.
I can no longer edit Playlists within the app. There used to be many options available by clicking the three dots now most of that functionality is gone.
I have all parts of system on same wifi - when listiening to TV Roam 2 sound kinda crackles drops every 2 secs or so
As I understand it, XM only supports one device at a time connected to one of its logins. I have multiple Sonos devices and multiple XM accounts. How do I permanently assign each Sonos device to use its specific XM login ID?Thanks,Bob
I am trying to connect a Sonos Arc wirelessly to a network with an Asus XD5 Router with mesh hotspots. I tried turning off Airtime fairness on both 2.4 & 5.0 GHz bands. I tried creating separate networks for both bands. I even tried to disable 802.11ax. I ran through all other troubleshoots on the community board. None of these options ended up working. I connected a Sonos Amp with Architectural Speakers seamlessly, although the Amp had a hardwired ethernet connection. Is the only option to connect to this network via a hardwired ethernet connection?
My Sonos one will not connect to account when finalizing set-up it chimes turns the green and white light on top then states cannot connect to account, anybody else had this issue?
When my Sonos Roam battery runs off and I connect it to power I can’t play music. I vitally I can’t turn it on at all for a while like 10 or 15 min. Is this a design flaw or my roam is malfunctioning?Thank you.
I get this when starting the Windows app now: Of course I still have a perfectly running system, so is the Desktop app now officially deprecated? Pretty sure it was working a few days ago. When this message first appeared there was a More Options button, and using that I did Reset this app. Which was clearly a mistake.
I have my turntable playing through my Connect, but I find the sound tends to cut in and out periodically, for typically very brief periods. I find this happens more frequently with my newer 180 gram vinyl than when I play my really old records. What could cause this? Is it the quality of my RCA cables? Very frustrating.
Random chirps like a connection issue but music and tv still plays fine. Does it more while listening to Amazon music
besides hating the new app, I cannot see where the line-in function is. It is still clearly visible on the Windows desktop app, but I don’t see it anywhere on the mobile apps!!
Recently bought a Sonos Move and Ray, trying to connect them to the app, the app recognizes the devices, asks for the WiFi password, but when the sync is done the app show the error 1101 (couldn’t find any updates) and after that the app lets the devices begin configured in the home place, but when it finishes the “place configuration” it doesn’t appear in the app. I have tried all the steps in the Sonos guides, rebooted both devices and also the router but the problem is not solved, please help
It seems that the ability to play from a local library or a NAS server has been removed in the new app. This has major consequences for us who play music in an Odd Fellow lodge that we ourselves have recorded and own. This means that sonos is now completely useless to us.It is a significant deterioration and means that we can no longer can use sonos at all, and must find a new alternative.
I push the Recently Play 'Hide' link on my Sonos and so it disappeared from the main screen. how do I get it back?
Moderator Edit: Google Translate- It is increasingly common that the Sonos does not respond well when changing the HDMI signal. (TV, chrome cabinet, Blu-ray, switch, etc.) Have to turn the power off/on more and more often to get sound. Sometimes I have sound from the TV again and it seems to have lost the Sonos system completely. In the Sonos app you can press Your sources: TV but nothing works.
I have a Sonos Roam SL, a Sonos One and a Sonos One SL. I have them all running through the app. I have the Sonos Roam SL bluetooth paired to a record player. I want to then push the audio to the One speakers that I have. Everything is updated software wise. So when I play the record, it plays in my Sonos Roam SL speaker. But when you look at my groups, you will see, it’s actually playing through the Roam, but the app shows it’s not selected, and the two One speakers are selected. However, only the Roam is playing music, and the Ones are not. So when I select the radio dial for the Roam, it cuts off all the music to the Roam and then nothing plays. I have to reset my whole entire system for it to work. I don’t know why this is happening, but it completely makes me want to have nothing to do with this system, toss it all, and go to a different company. Which is sad, as I actually love my speakers, but they do nothing for me half the time I want to to use them. So any advice would be app
I have 3 sonos amps (wired) and 1 sonos roam (wifi) in my system. Everything works together when streaming from online sources. However, when I connect the roam to bluetooth the roam works fine until I try to add in the other amps. At this point the bluetooth source stops and no further playback occurs. This used to work very well and now it is not working. Is this a result of the app upgrade that took place or something else? How can I get my roam working as a bluetooth source again?
I've encountered an odd issue. Using Google assistant I've set up a routine where by when I say goodnight my lights and tv power off. The odd part is that when the earc connected tv turns off the Sonos status light turns on. (yes I have it toggled off in the app) to turn it off I have to touch either volume up or down. It's not a big deal I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced it.
How is it possible that a complete new version was allowed to be released unless Sonos thinks, the easiest way to fix this mess is to release it and let our loyal customers tell us what’s wrong! This update is an absolute shambles, almost every time I use the app it says there is no system, then after another try, it’s “oh, yes, there you are” but then, there’s only half the icons working, unbelievably slow volume change lag, none of which was ever an issue with the orange S2 version so sorry Sonos, you simply can’t keep blaming customer’s wi-fi connections. In no way is this app easier to navigate, it has less features and being a long standing Sonos customer with 8 units, you really feel trapped and fully at their mercy. If you still have the orange S2 app, DON’T UPGRADE, change your settings to manual update. I would like to know why it is not possible to downgrade back to the old App whilst this utter nonsense is sorted out. Remember what happened when you discontinued the S1 app a
I would like to know whether my rega rp1 turntable, which has a hard wired rca red and white output, will connect to either an era 100 or 300? can I just buy an rca to 3.5mm jack adapter and also the jack to usb c adapter? also, I do have a pre amp and also amp, could they be connected as well or is that pointless? Very much in the dark as you might guess! any help appreciated!
Can someone explain why I get pcm 7.1 not Dolby digital 7.1
Pairing and label speakers separately
Any recommendation for Dolby Atmos extractor to Sony XBR 900F series and Sonos ARC?
