We can no longer connect and group our Play:1, Play:3 and Play:5 systems. It seems really odd that it coincided with me buying the Sonos Roam, which I have to say has been massively difficult to set up and we are also encountering continuing problems with that so I’m likely to send it back. The main problem however, is the fact that my original systems no longer working and nor can I connect to them despite downloading the suggested apps from Sonos. Meaning that I’ve an expensive set up that I can no longer use. Any ideas? Thank you very much.
Evening all. Have a largish Sonos system of long standing ….. all wired & all driving in ceiling B&W’s except one Port connected to a Pioneer VSA-AX10ai.The last few weeks tracks have just stopped playing …. randomly and for no obvious reason I can fathom. It’s not room specific. It does not appear to be service specific.Tracks come from NAS, Amazon, Spotify and the last week or so, Tidal Hifi. Although have not used NAS last few weeks so consider that a red herring.System is up to date on S2. Although (and could be rough coincidence) I have only seen the track stop since going full S2. That maybe unfair logic as that was approximately 3 months back and I have no precise analysis to link the two events.I added a Roam a week back but the track stop was occurring before then.More than a little confused. As I say system is a long standing one and faultless in the main. Appreciate any suggestions.
We use our sonos for our patio area. Has always worked great until this year. Sonos shows the sound playing but there is no output. I factory reset the system multiple times, updated the Sonos S1 app, installed the Sonos 2 app (says it’s not compatible), and tried a few other things. Any help is appreciated !
Hope you guys can help, I’m trying to get my roam to play simultaneously with my Five. I see the roam in the group but no sound is coming out of it. I reinstalled the entire thing, did a factory reset, rebooted my router, nothing seems to work. I can swap from one device to another but both wont play at once. Any ideas?
Hi,Have had a Sonos Beam, Sub (Gen 2) and Play:1s as surrounds for a couple of years. A couple of weeks ago I bought a Sonos Arc to replace the Beam.I have a 2016 Samsung UN65KS800DFXZA, with the following set up:HDMI1: Connected to DirecTV HDMI2: Commented to a Bluray player but honestly, its really not used HDMI3: Connected to Apple TV 4K HDMI4 (ARC): Connected to the Sonos Arc.On my DirecTV box I have the following set:Settings → Audio Settings → Dolby Audio → ON On the Samsung UN65KS800DFXZA I have the following set:Sound → Select Speaker → Receiver (HDMI) Sound → Expert Settings → HDMI Audio Format → BITSTREAM Sound → Expert Settings → Audio Format → Dolby DigitalThe DirecTV sound works fine..it’s awesome. Now on the Apple TV 4K I have the audio format set to:Change Format: OFF, so this sends LPCM to Sonos. I have also tried turning this to ON and then selecting Dolby 5.1.For certain Apps like Apple TV+, iTunes, Disney+ I don't have any issues….the Tv settings still reflect Bitstre
Why have half my speakers suddenly stopped working
So, as they say, here’s the thing: I invested a lot of hard earned cash in a complete Sonos system in 2014-16 (8 x Play 1s, 1 x Play 3 and 1 x Soundbar). It all worked really well then the problems started not long after we moved house in 2016; essentially, most of the speakers regularly disappear from the app/system and this has been the case with both Sonos apps. I have tried pretty much everything suggested by Sonos but the problem remains.Having spent all that money, I am reluctant to follow Sonos’ advice and upgrade my speakers so I am at a loss as to what to do next. Any advice gratefully received!
Trying to point the Android Spotify app at my Sonos speakers. The speakers show up but are grayed out. (See screenshot.)I was told some time ago that having a mesh WiFi system was the problem so I switched back to Sonosnet. Availability is still inconsistent.Diagnostics are 487564716. Thanks!
Heading should say 2 x Sonos One speakers not (play)I have 3 x Sonos One speakers (gen 1). One set up in dining room and 2 paired as sterio in lounge. I have successfully connected the Sonos roam to a Bluetooth turntable and I inturn grouped in to the rest of the system however the audio while it comes out of the roam and the dinning room speaker it only comes out of one of the stereo paired speakers in the lounge. If not using Bluetooth and just connecting Roam to my whole system all music comes out all speakers as normal. Does the roam not support Sterio on already paired speakers in the system when in Bluetooth mode?
Dear support, I have LG OLED 55CXLRA, having a problem changing output from tv to anything other than Stereo PCM 2.0. My tv supports arc and hdmi is plugged into the correct socket. I’ve tried changing output type to Dolby digital, by default after initial setup it Dolby digital plus, however in the app it only shows PCM Stereo 2.0, after closing and reopenning the app or even re-connecting my tv. Please help!
I’ve had Sonos for 6 years. The first 5 years it worked perfectly, then it started having major dropouts, skipping, and had a 30-60 second delay when I hit play to start a new song.I assumed it was my 1st gen speakers so I upgraded everything (5 rooms, one Gen. 2 Fives, the rest One SL) - and the problem got worse! I can get through maybe 2 songs max before it skips and drops.I have spent tons of time with Sonos customer service, hired an IT firm to rework my wireless system. I even bought an extra One SL so plug into my router. That helped for maybe a week, then my system went back to problems.A quick google search tells you this is a very common problem - and that Sonos ignores it, does nothing to fix it.What’s it going to take - maybe a class action lawsuit for all the people who’ve spent good money on their speakers and had a bad experience?
Been there done that with everything I have read with other people submitting the same issue. Newer top of the line router, speakers are 5 to 20 feet from Mesh router. Still same, cutting in and out randomly. Have power cycled, removed the sub and added back in, have reset router (Power Cycle), always seems to come back. Sometimes will go weeks or days with out the cut in/out. But of course it always happens when you have friends over..lolI’ve read others with direct wiring with Ethernet cable and shutting off wifi to each speaker, and the issue is still there. Anyone else in UK/Europe having a nightmare with Alexa on Sonos Roam?
The last.fm scrobbling has stopped functioning via Sonos, the last recorded instance was 18 April. I have tried the last.fm support site but they say there is no issue from their end. It has often stopped and restarted since round November 2020 but usually it has been no longer than 3 or 4 days. I listen to Spotify, Bandcamp, Mixcloud, files on my NAS, and several other streaming services and none of them are registering. Just wondered if there was a known issue.
I have a Philips Tv connected via hdmi to the sonos arc. Works fine until the TV goes into standby then when it’s switched back on they forget to talk to each other. I have to turn off the TV and back on again to establish connection again. I’ve been through every setting on the TV and Sonos, however I’ve not found a fix.
I’ve had this issue for over a year with my One SL.I recently added a Sonos Roam to my Sonos system and would like to try one more time for a solution.I started with a One SL (for the airplay 2 support, mainly) in hopes to send audio from my Apple TV to my Sonos and Vizio soundbar (connected directly to tv via optical audio) as a group. Along with reports from the rest of the sonos community using airplay, the sound is never synced.Maybe 1/50 times, the sound somehow syncs but that is extremely rare.I gave up on this months ago, but have just added a Sonos Roam to my setup and was hoping this issue had been fixed through some kind of software update, but it has not.I read that disabling the wifi on the One SL and using Ethernet, pairing the 2 Sonos speakers together via the sonos app rather than adding these speakers separately via airplay on the Apple TV, and changing with the audio output on my tv might resolve the sync issues. But, it. Did. Not.It would be nice to have some kind of
I just received my new Sonos Roam Lunar White and I tried 4 times to set it up with my existing setup on Sonos app (S2) but the configuration didn't go throughThe WiFi temporary connection won’t work (error message) I decided to switch off the 5 GHz WiFi (WiFi 6) Tried to turn off Roam with the Power button to reboot it Reboot my iPhone 12 Pro Since then, Roam is kept with a Solid Orange button for 4 seconds, and won't start again with any command (I tried the Factory Reset but no impact) When I plug the Roam to a 10W iPad charger, the Orange lights is on and then goes off.I will call back Sonos Customer Care tomorrow...
Here is one problem I noticed with my Arc + Sub + One system. The Arc connects with my LG C8 via HDMI cable to ARC. Every time I power on the TV, the sound switch back to “internal speaker + optical” audio option. I have to manually switch it back to ARC . However, after I am done this, the Netflix won’t show Atoms instead of showing 5.1 (the sonos app shows DDP 5.1). Then I will need to switch between internal speaker and ARC couple time, switch on and off for Dolby Atomos setting for internal speaker, reload Netflix couple time to get the Atomos sign back for Netflix and sonos app. Can I get some help with this issue?
I have seen several posts of BEAM using HDMI ARC (in my case with a Samsung TV).Sound works for little bit and then cuts off.Fixes I usually see are unplug TV and Sonos and replug and try again. That does not fix it for me. I did see something about and update...but my BEAM is updated. I love Sonos...but this is killing me. I wonder if I am still within my return period.
My Roam charges fine with a cable but when I put it on my charging dock it [edit: The Roam] just shows a red light and won't charge. Charging pad details in image below. Is there a compatibility issue?

I have a setup of one Sonos One grouped with two older Play:1s to form an AirPlay group.Until recently when I used this AirPlay group on my Apple TV, iPhone, … I could adjust the volume on the iOS side and the volume of the group changed. With a recent change (Sonos Update, iOS 14.5?, not sure) now only the volume of the Sonos One is changing leaving the other devices to be always out of sync / no longer controllable via Apple TV remote or Homekit automations.Has anyone else noticed this?
Every time I launch the Sonos app, some of my speakers are missing. It is not a constant speaker, it seems its always a different one. Should I reset the entire app? And for a missing speaker, do all I have to do is click the pairing button? This is beyond frustrating as my entire system is never listed in full. There is always at least one speaker missing.
