I have been using the SONOS play 5; SUB; Connect/amp and BOOST for DJing:

DJ equipment is a DENON DJ MC7000

 laptop

network equipment is a wireless router with available ethernet ports

SONOS APP installed on the laptop

SETUP:

laptop connects to the Denon DJ MC7000 via usb

an ethernet cable connects from the laptop’s ethernet port to a ethernet port on the wireless router

audio master out from the Denon DJ MC7000 connects to the SONOS Connect/amp audio RCA in

SONOS BOOST connects to an available port on the wireless router

with the ethernet cable connected between the laptop and the SONOS connect/amp

you have to configure a local network on the laptop that will create a local network that will include

the laptop;the SONOS connect/amp ;SONOS BOOST;the play 5 and the SONOS SUB

when you launch the sonos app on the laptop you will create the zone that will include the play 5 and the Sub

you have to select line in on the sonos app

selecting the line in will allow the output from the DJ controller to be sent to the SONOS connect/amp

with the local network setup on the laptop

the SONOS connect/amp will now transmit audio wireless to the PLAY 5 and the SUB

Hi @DJsmitty, thanks for sharing this with the community!

I was under the impression that the 75ms delay on line-in sources would make Sonos less than ideal for DJing - have you found that this is not an issue?

In any case, glad to hear it’s working for you, and thank you for sharing your method!
