Hi all. First time poster. I have setup a stereo pair of One Gen 2’s and a sub mini in the Living Room and identified the group as ‘Living Room - Sonos’. While Spotify on my android phone identifies the group as ‘Living Room - Sonos’ and plays music through both speakers, the app I am using (Hi-Fi Cast) only sees the group as separate devices. If I select the right speaker, sound comes out of it, and only it. Select the left speaker and the song won’t play. I have recreated the group a couple of times but still end up with the same issue. Weirdly, if I use the Spotify app on my phone, the music plays through both speakers, and if I close it and then use Hi-Fi app, while it sees the devices still as separate entities, it will play music from both speakers. As I said, Weird. The problem returns if I select the other Sonos device. A pic of the Hi-Fi devices tab is attached. I am sure there is something fundamental I am getting wrong with the setup. Appreciate advice on how this might be
Reporting a bug here. Amazon stations can be played from the station lists, but not from favorites. When playing from favorites, it generates a “unable to play content” error, followed by a “something went wrong” error. This happens on android and windows. Again, the stations play when played direction from the station list.
Hello,I used to be able to listen to the last two weeks of archived music from KCSM on Spinitron using the “Stream What You Hear” app on Windows 10 via TuneIn.But now, for reasons I cannot divine, I can no longer do so.I have re-installed the app. No luck. I have checked the KCSM streaming URL and it is unchanged from what I originally had.I can listen to the Spinitron archive on my computer speakers. But I cannot now find a way to have that same signal route to the Sonos TuneIn--which I used to be able to do for years!I am baffled and out of ideas.Any thoughts/suggestions would be much appreciated.Thank you.Matteo
When I load a user created Apple Music playlist the order of the tracks in the playlist shown in Apple Music does not match the order of the tracks in the Sonos queue. Not by a long shot. The playlist was sorted by Artist in Apple Music.
How do you power on the sub? Just plug it in?
if you’ve had your Sonos and like to curate hundreds of songs that you’ve probably running to this problem, no matter what, eventually your playlist is invalidated. some songs will work some songs won’t, no rhyme to reason. Only that here you again having the curate yet another playlist of hundreds of songs. I’ve seen this question raised in the community of 1000 times with 1000 solutions from customer support none of Which would’ve ever worked for any individual out there. If this is happening to you, my guess is you are curated your playlist through the Sonos app itself. And that’s where the problem always has been. Providers like SoundCloud Spotify they often move the backend Details where music is streaming from Cyber space. Sonos is only able to take a static picture that will not remain for very long as these are moved randomly By all these music providers. To correct this issue so that you don’t have to continuously create new playlist create your playlist through the app its
I have a surround set up using Arc and two 300’s as rears. One of them makes this plinking noise when I'm not using and the noise seems random (not every 30 seconds or minute). Any ideas?
Con la nueva actualización mi sub 4 deja de sonar mientras reproduzco música el bajo baja y despjes se vuelve a sentir, no puedo solucionar
Currently have an Era 100 on its own and looking to upgrade to a home cinema setup. I’m looking to buy a Sonos Ray and then a Sonos Era 100 SL. Can I use my current Era 100 and the soon to be bought Era 100 SL and pair them together as rears?
Here is the tick tock of what happened.I was gifted a Move 2 a couple of years ago; it worked like a charm. I got ambitous and purchased a second Move 2 and successfully made a stereo pair with the gifted Move 2. Again it worked like a charm. Lately, meaning with the last two weeks, a “phantom” signleton Move 2 has appeared. The Stereo remains in the list of speaker. The prorgam playing on the stereo pair show it playing on the stereo pair and this ‘ghost’ speaker. I did not add or alter my setup; I have the voice assistant turned off.Why is this happening? What is the permanent fix to this problem? Thanks.I have added screen grabs to support and illustrate what is going on. I hope they are not too large.
there’s no power showing on one of my Sonos connect boxes. How can I tell if the unit is in need of replacement, I unplugged it and plugged it back in in the white light on the front is still not showing up
Sonos Arc Ultra – Unable to Check for UpdatesI’m looking for help with a Sonos Arc Ultra that was working normally but now cannot complete a required update.BackgroundArc Ultra and Sub Mini were previously working correctly via HDMI eARC. TV detected the Arc Ultra properly. Dolby Atmos/Dolby Digital status was visible in the Sonos app. The system sat unused for several months.Current IssueThe Sonos app immediately prompts:“Update Required”When I try to update, I always get:“There was a problem checking for updates. I’ve just replaced my Arc with the Arc Ultra in my home theatre set up (Arc Ultra, 2 x Era 300’s 1 x Sub mini) I just unplugged the Arc and plugged the Ultra into the same leads. Added the Ultra in the app, all ok. Now I can’t add the Era 300’s or the Mini. I have removed them from the original Arc set up, powered them off and rebooted the router and my phone, but still showing as not connected so I can’t addd them to the Ultra.
Trueplay works on individual components of my system. But when I create the home theater set up, I cannot get Trueplay to initiate. I am able to do the first balancing step but the final Trueplay walk around the room step does not begin. Error says unable to perform Trueplay at this time. Try again later.
I’m leaving this note for anyone like me that is looking to share thier Arc wth a TV and projector. I bought a OREI eARC/ARC HDMI 2x1 Audio Switch (EARC-102). Working great with my Awol projector and Sumsung Frame TV.
Hi everyone. Just changing my sub mini to a sub 4, sorry to sound dumb but do I just change them over, the sub mini is going in to another room. Many thanks for your help
I tried every fix posted online for this issue and after suffering from it for ~2 years, I finally spent a few hours and achieved this fix. Registered to the forums just to share this in case it helps someone else. The fix (probably)What finally got my Sonos macOS app back online after the "Your computer's firewall setting has changed. Your Sonos controller can no longer connect to your Sonos system" error: in-app Uninstall (NOT drag-to-trash) followed by a fresh download from sonos.com.Important caveat: I tried a lot of other cleanup steps before this worked. I can't say for sure whether the in-app Uninstall alone would have fixed it on a "clean" system, or whether the prior cleanup was a prerequisite. If you're hitting the same error, I'd suggest trying the simple fix first — if it doesn't work on its own, here's everything else I did, in case some of it matters in combination.Step 1 — Try this first (the simple fix)This is the step that immediately preceded my Sonos app working agai
Hi all/anyoneI have a Roam 2 with a Sonos wireless charger and plug.Unfortunately the lead is too short so I added a 1 metre usb extension lead. All worked well but on one occasion the battery discharged overnight, so I replaced the extension lead with another and all was fine but yesterday the wireless base started flashing red so I took the usb extension out and all it all works, but I cannot put the speaker where it needs to go.I’ve found out from the Sonos bot that I need a cable capable of delivering 5v/2a (10w) of power. Has anyone had any luck with this? Thanks for any help.
Hi everyone,I’m looking for advice on the optimal placement of a Sonos Arc Ultra. The current offer is ending soon, so I’d really appreciate any quick guidance.I’ve attached photos of my full TV cabinet. The Arc Ultra would be placed on the second shelf, which currently measures 147 × 13.5 × 6.3 cm. We’re planning to remove the wooden panels from the top and bottom, which would increase the height clearance to around 9.5 cm.For additional context, the distance from the bottom of the TV to the start of the soundbar shelf is 14 cm, so I believe the recommended TV clearance requirement is covered.I’ve seen mixed opinions online, so I thought I’d ask here. We can also remove all four wooden sections if needed, as they appear to be glued in. I’d prefer to avoid wall mounting, as this alcove cabinet was built specifically with a soundbar in mind.Given these dimensions, would it be safe to go ahead with the Arc Ultra and still get the best performance from it? My main concern is whether the a
Any recent changes to the S1 app? Or are there issues with the new Pixel Pro 10 phone? For nearly 2 years now, I've used the S1 app with older Play:5, Gen 1 speakers in my shop. I've had two of those speakers set up as a stereo pair and it's worked great. Last week, I upgraded my phone from a Samsung Galaxy S21 to a Google Pixel Pro 10. The transfer process pulled/installed the apps that I had on the older phone onto the new phone. Not sure if they are the same version of the app software or not.The S2 system works just fine (once I logged back in) and all the units in the house are working as before. But the Play:5s on the S1 are not. I've uninstalled & reinstalled, factory reset the speakers and re-added them, both in the shop and also tried it inside the house. I've successfully gotten 1 of them to work when plugged into my router, but it'll die a few minutes after removing the Ethernet cable. And when I try to add the 2nd speaker, the first one dies. I've rebooted compon
I like that the dialog is very easy to hear without having to turn on any dialog adjustments. The problem is I barely hear the left and right channel audio. Background music is barely audible. I’ve tried it with both Trueplay turned on and off and there isn’t much improvement. I know the left/right channels are working because I hear music. Anyone else have this problem?

This concerns a problem I have using S1 on my Imac desktop only.; no problem when using it on my Iphone or Ipad. On the Imac I am unable to perform the basic function of searching within Amazon Music (searching within any specific field: Artist, Album, etc.) in order to then “drill down” further “.o specific searched-for items and add them to my queue. Having chosen Amazon Music under “Select a Music Source” I end up with the screen in the attached photo. The “Search” functions within this screen seem to point only to Artists, Songs, Albums etc. that I have previously accessed (on previous S1 outings), but to come up empty for my current search “argument”. Any advice much appreciated!
Hi everyone,I’m running into a recurring issue with my Sonos Amp in a UniFi network and wanted to check if anyone has seen something similar or has a working setup with current UniFi firmware.Setup: Sonos Amp Ubiquiti UniFi network system (UDM Pro + switches) Amp connected via Ethernet (also tested via WiFi) Flat network during testing (no VLAN separation) Problem:After a reboot, the Amp works fine. But after some time (hours to days, even when idle), it becomes completely unreachable: disappears from the Sonos app cannot be pinged does not respond to ARP requests In UniFi, the behavior varies slightly: sometimes the device is still shown as connected but greyed out other times it disappears entirely as a client however, the physical link LED on the switch port remains on Only a full power cycle brings it back. Replugging Ethernet alone does not help. What I already tried: Ethernet and WiFi (same behavior on both) Disabled WiFi when wired IGMP Snooping + Querier enable
I am streaming with a hardwired (1Gb/s) Nvidia Shield Pro passthrough to a TCL 65QM851G TV. My new Sonos Arc Ultra is plugged into the eARC port of the TV and the TV is set to passthrough to the Arc Ultra. I also have a pair of ERA100’s for surrounds. The Sonos gear is connected to a 5G wifi network. The system plays/streams PCM stereo content with no issue but when I stream any type of Dolby content (Dolby Atmos or Dolby Plus 5.1) it plays awesome for about 5 minutes then the sound starts to drop out very briefly about every 1-2 seconds. If I pause the stream for a couple seconds and restart it, the cycle repeats, 5 minutes of awesome sound then the dropouts restart. What can I do to rectify this issue?
