I was following the guide on building a control integration, up until https://devdocs.sonos.com/reference/playbacksession-loadcloudqueue-sessionid i have a audio playback focused webapp that wants to stream its content to sonos. i can successfully authenticate, discover and create a session. when i try to attach a playlist to the session using loadStreamUrl by specifying a queueBaseUrl to the groupId parameter i get a 501 error.i implemented a set of endpoints on https://example.com/sonos/cloudQueue but i never see any requests hitting it.interestingly, LoadAudioClip is working, but this is far from ideal.sorry if this is not the ideal forum, i was not able to locate a “developers forum” otherwise.
We have to get our Internet from a cell tower via a T-Mobile Home Internet. We just replaced our router and the router uses a SIM card. Now we can’t connect our Amps via wifi like we use to. Called tech support and they said you havre to buy a bridge. Anyone have this problem and or solutions?
I currently control my Sonos features through voice commands to Alexa, which then sends triggers to IFTTT, which then controls Sonos. Looks like Alexa is dropping IFTTT at the end of Oct 2023. Does anyone have any good suggestions for a good fix for this?
Sonos worked fine for us for years but, for some reason our Sonos system pooped the bed several months ago and is, unfortunately, unfixable. Why Sonos tanked we cannot say. Sonos seems no longer to be able to maintain their own, simple tech. It’s slipped away from them. There is no way we have the time to be on the phone with Sonos each time there is a problem, and there is no way Sonos will help figure out the big picture. They can address why our speakers disconnect each time it happens (which is each time we try to use Sonos), but they can’t tell us why it happens every day, nor fix all the other problems we have with the app every day (play button doesn’t work, everything grayed out, spinning wheel, music continues to play after Sonos quits and many more)So, it’s clearly time to cut our losses, sell the system on eBay and try something else. What is a good alternative to Sonos? Being able to use Spotify is critical.
Hi,does anybody know how to connect an DUAL Recordplayer to a SONOS One SL?I appreciate any help. Thanks a lot. Frank
I have an outdoor TV with and HDMI cable run through brick to my current receiver. Trying to connect a Sonos Amp Gen 2 with this cable. I am looking for a converter to connect to the opposite end of the HDMI cable and plug into the Sonos Amp Gen 2 Analog Audio cables. It will be next to impossible to just feed audio cables through this brick. Can you recommend a splitter/converter in order to make this happen?
I moved into a house with a media room with two pair of in-ceiling speakers. I know I can connect one pair to a Sonos Amp and use as surround but how can I incorporate the 2nd pair? I don’t think you can use the 2nd pair as front speakers since those are built into the Arc but can I use all 4 as surround??? if so, do I need two amps or can I connect all four speakers to a single amp and use a 4 speaker surround? thanks in advance.
I have several Sonos playlist with up yo 700 songs each. Is it possible to copy an entire playlist from Sonos to Spotify? I understand I can copy individual songs but with large playlists this would be very difficult. Thank you for your help.
I have an Sonos One SL that I mainly use with AirPlay on an iPhone 13 but my issue is that when I AirPlay things I cannot control the volume on my phone, I can have the volume at 0 or 100 it will still be the same, I’m forced to use the touch controls or the app, how can I fix that ?
I have recently changed Internet provider and swapped everything over. However, I have playbar, various play 1's all work OK. I have 2 play ones that when I connect them I lose everything else, any ideas please?
My neighbours sound engineer has just told me that Sonos is updating the system to prevent use of home music library on a computer and you will have to use a music streaming system and pay. He said to be aware that updating the Sonos system will soon remove access to your library!
I recently bought a gen 1 sonos connect amp and after using it for a few weeks with 2 ceiling speakers I decided I needed a subwoofer. So I bought a Samsung wireless subwoofer and took it apart down to the speaker wire ports under the cover I then connected this to an rca adapter and plugged it into the sub output on my amp. I waited for a wile for it to show up and I also rebooted my system but no sub appeared on the app and the sub did not make any sound when playing music. Please help me make my sub work
Hi, I’m thinking of connecting my turntable with Sonos loudspeakers . I could buy two ERA100 or one ERA300. What are the differences? The room is fairly large (Height 3.2metres) with large windows? And what about one Five? Is it overkilling? I’m mainly listening vocal rock and classical music (Turntable and Airplay).
I have a setup at home with multiple Sonos One speakers and another Roam in a separate system/location. Bot systems are mainly used with Deezer. At home with a solid internet connection everything works perfectly. My Roam is in a location with solid wifi but a relatively slow internet connection (<5 MBit/s). Using Sonos Radio or TuneIn works flawlessly. However, Deezer tries to stream uncompressed Hifi audio and due to the slow connection constantly aborts play. When I use Deezer on my phone in that location and stream to Sonos Roam via Bluetooth, the Deezer app on the phone automatically moves down to compressed audio at a lower bitrate, but Deezer on Sonos does not do that. Is there a reliable way to manually force Deezer on the Roam to play compressed audio?
I have the Sonos S2 app on both my iPhone and iPad and fully updated and same login. My phone will only show 1 SL1(set up as bedroom) while my iPad shows all 5 of my speakers (living room surround arc, sub, x2 SL1). deleted app on phone and reloaded and logged in and no change. Crazy thing is I loaded all hardware using my phone and got the iPad later and loaded the S2 app on there and it seemingly “transferred” all info over but the phone lost the surround sound. anyone else have that with the same acct on 2 different Apple devices?
Kit - Samsung Neo QLED QE65QN85AATXXU and Sonos Arc I’m hoping someone can help please. I’ve had this set up for 12 months and it’s been working faultlessly apart from once or twice needing to power down the sound bar to address lag. Weirdly Netflix is no longer displaying any content in atmos just 5.1. Disney plus is working absolutely fine. Within the sonos app I get the following audio confirmationterrestrial - Dolby multichannel PCM 2.0netflix content I know is atmos - Dolby multichannel PCM 5.1disney + - Dolby Atmos I’ve spent hours on the phone to Samsung, Sonos and Netflix support and no further forward. I’ve even had samsung support take over my tv and check settings. So far for troubleshooting I’ve powered down both devices, reinstalled Netflix, cleared tv cookies, checked firmware of tv and sonos latest versions, checked advanced sound settings in tv for HDMI e-arc. I’ve also checked my Netflix account which remains Premium ultra HD and updated quality settings from default
I cant conect with alexa on sonos beam gen 1, how can I resolve this problem?
Hi so I am trying to update my connect amp I have tried everything to do it moved my unit next to the router, hardwired, multiple phones, my computer, and reset it reset all my products and just tried to do that one item. even disconnected and tried an entirely new account and nothing at all just keeps giving me a 1013 error and will not do anything. I can't update it at all. Tried calling Sonos and they had no help really.
hello. I am using beam generation 1.I don't have a TV at the moment, so I'm connecting it to my xbox via optical output. As you know, Disney Plus doesn't support 4k on PC. I wanted to use the sonos beam through my computer's optical output for Game, so I bought an optical output selector, but it didn't work properly. I wondered if this was because I was using a sonos optical output adapter, but the retailer said it worked fine with their product. Can anyone recommend a optical output selector that is compatible with the sonos optical output adapter? Thanks in advance .
Hi, I am thinking about purchasing a SONOS sub adding to my only Arc, but it needs to be next to a window which exposes it to direct sunlight some times. Will this be an issue for it to function properly in the long-run? Or what can I do about it? Thanks.
I can't sync my sonos surround sound to the lips.
I have an ArcSL and Sub, connected to a Sony XBR TV via HDMI. Once in a while, my TV will think the Sonos system is unavailable although everything is on, connected to the TV and to WiFi, no apparent issues at all. No red status light. First time it happened, I cut power to everything by turning off the power bar and rest it, TV and all. That took care of it, but the issue then was that I couldn’t get my Sonos system to connect to wifi manually. This time, I just tried unplugging the Arc and Sub. Nothing.anyone have any thoughts?
*sigh* This app is more trouble than it’s worth. It’s search feature only allows you to search by specific group like “by song or by artist” and will not search cross category. Why not just search for anything that matches what I’ve typed in? This makes it hard to find playlists and indy artists on streaming platforms. The Sonos related ads that pop up have no way to close without closing the app altogether. “Add To Calendar” was the only option on an ad wanting me to participate in a Sonos shopping event. I love my Sonos sound system but dread dealing with this app, so much so I would invest in another product if the controller app was more user-friendly. There’s no Lock Screen controls either so adjusting the volume requires you to open the app, wait for it to connect and THEN you can adjust the volume or change the track. There is also a DELAY when doing this as the app has to reconnect to your network each time, so it takes a few seconds for you to control your music. Each
Just be the best speaker company, your core competencies. Forget the streaming services, customers will decide what they want to listen to. what I choose to put through my Sonos speakers is important to me.I am having second thoughts before investing further with Sonos speakers because of the restrictions. I also believe other Sonos customers have these second thoughts.Your not good in the streaming business, stick to the speaker business, you will gain more repeat and more business with your speaker business.Your business pioneered great wireless speakers.Stay focused with what your customers want.thank youAlex
