I've had it with this terrible company I had hopes that maybe updating their app would fix some of their rent issues with their compatibility their connectivity their playability basically everything involved with their product but they just made everything worse as always support is not existent and talks to you in loops and help you do anything and starts to blame their connectivity issues on everything from your device your Wi-Fi and where you live it's ridiculous. I hate having to just throw these away since it's been thousands of dollars on them but I've got numerous Sonos speakers a bunch of play five generation twos couple of beams the amp the subwoofer but I'm done with his trash company Morris mistake of my life buying the stuff Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
Can you imagine spending beaucoup bucks on any other Sonos product, especially headphones after the total and complete disrespect shown to its customers? Sony, Bose B & W, Apple. And you are going to buy a product that may occasionally need software updates from this gang?TOTAL AND COMPLETE DISRESPECT TO ITS CUSTOMER BASE. To get loyalty you must give loyalty. Something for the Sonos gang to think about!
Like many, I am an absolute hater of the new app. My main gripe is the loss of even basic functionality for local music libraries but there are plenty of other reasons. I am starting my own campaign of posting the lowest ratings possible of the new app and of the Sonos system in general until it is fixed. For instance, I just posted a one star rating (which is the lowest possible) in the Apple App Store for the new Sonos App with the review to avoid the app and the Sonos system. Plan on doing the same in other locations. I was also planning on blitzing Sonos support phone and chat lines with complaints. And an easy thing to do is to send multiple emails to ceo@sonos.com with complaints about the new app. I don’t know why Sonos thinks that it is OK to remove so much functionality without input from current users. Disrespectful!
Can you force the download of the new app? It is not appearing in the Google play store.
For some reason the new Sonos App is not showing as available in the Play Store here in the UK? Has anyone else not been able to download it?
Why does the Roam suck so bad? I have it plugged in and it still constantly drops the network and is impossible to get back online. Really thinking about ditching the whole system.
I’ve not been able to connect my system to new app is it me ?
I’m only seeing Spotify and Sonos Radio. Anyone else?I have to say it looks pretty sharp, a good start, but gotta display my services!
I find all this very strange. Three years ago I bought a Sony ubp-x800m2 which I connected to a Sony kd-65xh9005 TV, and further to the Sonos ARC.I was pleasantly surprised when everything worked. DVD Audio, and the SACD discs worked perfectly. But...After six months, an update came from Sony TV and voila...Everything gone.I contacted Sony. They blamed Sonos. Sonos blamed Sony. Now it has been almost three years and no one has been able to fix this. I mean, we live in 2024, we can see other galaxies via Hubble :)How difficult should it be to answer this?Hope one of the parties fixes this.If nothing else, it's a nice collection of SACDs to look at.//Nohrman
My TV is recessed into the wall and it’s eye level when sitting -- about 20 inches off the floor. can I place a Beam below it on a shelf? My other option would be to mount ti above the TV. In either case, the Beam would be above or below ear level.
Where ist the Sonos 80.0 for Android? It is not available in the german Play Store.
Everyone is posting about the new app released May 7. My app store shows no update. Am I the only one. There is only 2.5 hrs left in the day!
Wann ist es möglich die Balance bei einem Stereopaar Era 300 einzustellen, auch gerade in der neuen App ? Moderation Edit: Added translation by Google Translate- When is it possible to adjust the balance on an Era 300 stereo pair, especially in the new app?
Hey guys, as I said in the description.....will this new app enable me to play music off my phone again? Like it used to. Cheers
I was excited about the new controller assuming that of course we’d finally get lock screen and watch controls (iOS).Is it really that impossible? This should be the absolute top priority to add this.
the link to the services Radioplayer, seems to be the wrong one.
I brought my 2 play 1 and play bar to my new house with a new bell sagemcom 5689e router and bought 3 era 100 to complete the set now, every time I loose power ( which happens weekly here ) my system doesn’t reconnect ive wired one play 1 to the router and it reconnects after a reboot the older models but not the Era 100ive spent countless hours on the phone with Sonos and nothing to do contacted Bell and they don’t want to change my router I cannot factory reset my eras every week , it doesn’t make sense ! any advices or tricks ?
Hi I have a streaming box that only outputs stereo. Is there anything I can do to turn it into 5.1 as I have the arc two play ones and a sub. Thanks in advance
My Sonos Arc/2 Era300 system keeps going to PCM 7.1 rather then Dolby Atmos even though the same DVD/Blu Ray/streaming movie showed Dolby Atmos in the past…..using Apple TV 4K and LG C series tv….
I spent 2 hours this morning with Sonos and SiriusXM trying to resolve an issue with how SiriusXM channels are displayed in the Sonos App. After the usual stuff (uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting, etc...) Sonos ran a screen share and could clearly see that the Sirius channels are not being displayed properly. Sirius claims that this issue is on the Sonos end. To their credit, Sonos did temporarily log into their Sirius test account (via screenshare) within my Sonos app and their Sirius stations were displaying.Sirius seems to think this is an issue with how Sonos is handling the channel lineup info being delivered to them from Sirius. Seems right to me although that doesnt fully explain why the Sonos test account worked but my account didnt. Anyway, after numerous call backs I got tired of helping two large companies solve problems that they should be able to do without irritating their customers are wasting our time.Next step is to consider an alternative way to power my music at
Hello,I would like to open discussion and try to find some answers to my issue. It has been few months since I start noticing some issue with the sound coming out of my Sonos Beam, it was mostly noticeable with sounds of traffic or rain where the sound was getting the infamous metallic qualities as if it was being compressed. Especially when having the Sonos in Night Mode the effect was even more exaggerated and noticeable. I started searching what the issue is and whether this is issue of my TV or the soundbar itself.First I tired to play same sound via TV and then via Wifi connection. It was clear that via Wi-Fi the sound was playing without any distortion. I got a new HDMi cable with a Arc support and change the original Sonos one, this did not solve my issue either. I spent hours chatting with the support of both Sonos and Samsung, went through remote reset of both systems, did not help Finally I brought the soundbar to my friend with a different TV (also Samsung, different model) t
I have a rather large Sonos system hooked up in a smaller NYC apartment. The apartment is broken into about 4 smaller bedrooms however there are speakers dispersed throughout the entire setup. Several Sonos ones, 100s, 300s, 3 subs, an arc, bookshelf speakers and a boost. The speakers play subpar using Airplay, often dropping or not connecting at all. I then use the Sonos app to stream Apple Music and while it’s better it still has connectivity problems at times. It’s disappointing because I would like to use my HomePods in tandem with the system taking advantage of Siri and even a more dispersed sound. I’m frustrated because I invested thousands of dollars into the system and it does not play as intended and to make it worst I keep trying alternate options like purchasing extenders, upgrading the router, etc. Switched out most of the existing HomePods to Sonos thinking that would resolve the problem because I felt Sonos didn’t not play well with HomePods. It didn’t. Anyone else havin
Have just spent many thousands of dollars on a full home SONOS setup? Many said it was simpler and easier… however is it better ? Multiple ARCs , AMPs , Subs and 8 pairs of high end 8 inch speakers. I have kept my previous full multi-room, multi-source home audio solution. The best thing i did was not to throw it out.Have managed to setup the two side by side throughout the house, the sound quality of the SONOS when trying to drive the new speakers is noticeably poorer compared to the previous 10 year old solution i was looking to replace/upgrade.So the question begs with a software driven solution. When will you be upgrading and improving? This is after all one of the main advantaged of been software and app driven. Should I continue to invest in the product suite…. your call !
Hello, I have a new single story ranch home that I want to equip with in ceiling Sonos speakers. Looking for some guidance on 6” or 8” and what is the optimal number of speakers + placement in order to cover the living room, kitchen area, sunroom, and all 3 bedrooms. For the living room I already have Sonos Arc, sub, and 2 One SLs (might need to move these to another room for lack of where to place cleanly without cables showing).I appreciate all suggestions!
Hi all,I’ve been banging my head against a brick wall with this forever … I have Sonos speakers distributed through the house, along with various Alexa devices (dots and flex mainly). My Sonos kit uses a variety of models from old to relatively new, and includes a couple with SVC. I have groups for each room, and then an over arching ‘House’ group with all my Sonos speakers in it. This used to work fine … I could call out specific rooms are ask any of my Alexa devices to play music everywhere (House). For the last year or so (possibly since changing to a mesh WiFi system) I’ve had nothing but difficulties. If I ask Alexa to play music, the speaker she choses appears to be completely at random. She will never play from all the speakers in the group. SVC is much better, but once music has been started from Alexa I have to manually go in and deselect then regroup all the speakers. Does anyone have an experience on a similar set up? I did chat to Sonos sometime ago, but they got stuck on
