Hi Here is my setup. In the kitchen I have an Era 300. In the dining room I have an Amp with ceiling speakers. Also in the dining room I have a TV, and I have the TV connected into that same Amp.In reality, the kitchen and dining room are actually the same rooms it’s a long room and we have one half as carpet and one half as hard flooring, so we tend to call them two names. Also downstairs we have the lounge which has a pair of Era 300.Bear with me :)I often listen to music and I have the Amp, Era 300, and the Era 300 pair all in a group, so I can walk around the house listening to the same music. But when I want to watch TV, I watch it whilst cooking dinner. So I’m in the kitchen, watching the TV that’s in the dining room. But I cant’t hear it because the sound only comes out of the Amp. I want it to also come out of the ETA 300 in the kitchen.Yes, I can choose to also include Grouped players, but that means the TV audio is also playing in the lounge, which makes no sense as my wife wi
Have just set up my new Samsung QN90B TV. My Sonos Arc is connected via HDMI eArc. I have opened a Netflix stream with Dolby Atmos through the TV native app. On the Sonos app it is only showing a Dolby Multichannel PCM 5.1. I am not 100% sure but I'm sure that this doesn't have Atmos signal.Any idea how I can tweak settings/etc. to receive Dolby Atmos signal. Cheers
My Sonos roam works completely normal other than the fact the status lights seems completely dead. It's less than a year old and is primarily used in the kitchen/patio. Its super frustrating trying to get it to power on correctly when I'm using it with Bluetooth because I never know it's on or off and just have to guess and go based off the on/off noise. Has anyone else experienced an issue like this with their roam?
Hiya - can I play an app that has podacst music on it Sonos? I can't find anywhere to do it and doesn't show up in any search through SonosTIA
I’ve recently had a new WiFi router. I have connected my Sonos One to the new network and enabled Alexa, Spotify, Amazon music etc. if I ask Alexa to play a radio station, it responds normally ….”playing Planet Rock from Rayo” for example, but then it doesn’t play anything.
I have had very slow response and also missing speakers on the Sonos app on my Iphone. I found a lot of info here on this forum that helped but never fully solved it. Below is a list of things I tried before I was able to solve my issue.Get rid of services that are not used. In my case I had several services and one in particular called TuneIn that once deleted showed improvement. (Thanks to the member that suggested this). Limit your outside playlist to under 500 songs. In my case I had Amazon playlists in excess of 1000 tracks. I split my playlists and made them about 350 tracks so if I want I can add tracks later. I put all my Sonos equipment in a separate SSID with a static IP. Make sure that ONLY Sonos equipment are part of this group. My issue improved greatly by doing this. I noticed if my Iphone was in the Sonos SSID the lag was there. Once I removed my Iphone from the Sonos SSID the lag improved greatly. No more missing speakers! My system has ARC, Subwoofer, and 2 E

My sonos roam keeps cutting out whilst listening to the radio. I listen to virgin radio that cuts out every minute for about 5 seconds. This also happens on the Global App. If you listen to BBC sounds or Spotify, all is fine with no cut outs. I have been in contact with the tech support and sent countless data back to them as well as countless resets. I have also contacted my Internet provider and switched the channels for both 5hz and 2.5hz for ones that have no interference. The firmware of my router was also updated.I personally think that this is an app issue as switching back and forth between the stations shows that there can be stability on certain ones.Any ideas?
HelloI was tempted to add this review/information/update to one of my previous topics on the Move 2. However, I feel that a report on battery life deserves its own piece for several reasons. The given or easily verified factors of the Move 2:Better sound with dual tweeters_No argument here Pass-through charging (tested and proven) Stereo Pairing in Bluetooth mode_Must be on home Wifi (tested and proven) Bluetooth gateway to other Sonos speakers (tested and proven) New optional color_Olive (my choice 😊)Battery life on the other hand is not so easily verified unless one is willing to test it. Sonos boosts a 24 hour battery use between charges starting at 100% for the Move 2 versus 11 hours for the original Move. Companies are notorious for exaggerating battery use between charges. Most often (or should I say always) they never divulge their testing parameters. Therefore, I decided to run my own controlled battery duration test.I’ll give you the test results up-front (borrowing a page fro
Have a beam (gen 2) and a era 100.When I pull up the app to play music in my living or dining rooms, the room itself will disappear from my choices on the app, but can play the last playlist that was playing. You can change the song, volume etc but only on that playlist. After some time the room will reappear and works fine. Every time I have opened the app to change the playlist it does this. Update is not the issue as software is up to date every time. Any advise? Thank you
I have a few Connect Amps. I would like the flexibility to use them simply as Connect modules. Has any done a mod to take line out connects from the unit? TIA
Just added mini sub to my era300. Everything was fine then today I played with adding voice commands. When asking hey sonos to play a specific song it did but mini sub never came on. White status light illuminated but no output
So I got 4 Sonos 1 and one sub since 8 years and recently added an era 100 for my restaurant. While I’m happy with the amazing sound quality, I’m increasingly annoyed with the very lousy performance of the app and also sound disruptions, which is unacceptable. I’ve did EVERYTHING which the so called Sonos technicians (perhaps they are bots) recommend. Got 1Gb fiber and then a latest generation mesh which is guaranteeing at least 600mb up and download in the whole restaurant. Sometimes I even shut down the power of the whole restaurant to reset all the speakers. Doesn’t work. Network is optimized for interference (coz that’s another argument or excuse Sonos uses). Curiously enough, when I play Spotify through the Sonos app I got random disruptions and when I use Spotify directly and connect to the speakers it NEVER disrupts. Starting the app when I want to control the music Takes ages. So this is so upsetting im really starting to look for another brand. I’m tired of all those excuses
Hi - I noticed a small chat on this topic, however I’m not sure what the outcome / solution was? Has anyone successfully connected the EVERSOLO DMP A8 Music Streamer / DAC / Pre-Amp to a SONOS AMP either via HDMI or other outputs from the DMP A8 to the Sonos AMP? Please help…I can’t be the only one wondering about this? Thanks.
Hi all,I recently enabled Alexa on my Sonos Arc and we are having awful problems with the Arc “stealing” the Alexa response. We have a large open plan living space and Echo devices in the dining area, kitchen, snug and hallway, the Sonos is the AV system in the living area. Before adding the Sonos system, the Echos were VERY good at working out which speaker was being addressed, you could be standing exactly between two Echos but if you turned your head towards one it would work out that was the one being addressed. So if you were standing in the kitchen area and said “Alexa play the radio” it would only play in the Kitchen. Amazing.Since adding the Sonos Arc to Alexa system the Arc now ‘steals’ every response no matter where you are standing in the room. Weirdly even if you specifically say the speaker like “Alexa play music in the kitchen” the Arc still steals the response and will start playing. It’s like the two systems don’t talk to each other, if I’m standing in the kitchen a
I have had a bit of a headache regarding my arc, because it’s connected to my tv a the sound starts to go out sometimes so I decided to reconfigure my system but now if I put my ones, sub and arc in pair mode I can config my arc but then I can’t connect the other ones and if I try to configure the Ones first I can connect the sub but not the arc. is there someone that can help me with this problem
I have the Project T1 that I bought with a Five, but now have it connected through the Amp to some Linn Majik 109 speakers. The sound from the turntable is really poor in comparison to listening to streamed music in the sense that it loses all character and volume.I have the input set currently at 9. I have tried all settings up to 10 and 9 is about as much as i can push it before it gets a bit messy.I listen to streamed music on volume 10 when working or 15 if i want it a little louder. On vinyl i have to listen at 45-50.I have had the turntable preamp repaired by Sonos as it was originally delivered damaged, so i am confident the preamp is working and set as it should be.I have another amp, that i have swapped out and it didn’t improve anything, so i am confident the amp isn’t the issue. The speakers sound fine when streaming so i don’t think there is an issue with the speakers or cable.I have come to the conclusion that perhaps the quality i am getting is the quality that i should get
I am well aware the WD100 has been out of support for some time and therefore only works with the firmware of the period.Nonetheless, I would be very interested to add one to my system even if it means downgrading the firmware and/or app. According to the community post below it was still possible in 2018:Has anyone had any success in downgrading the firmware to allow WD100 compatibility and does anyone have links to the required firmware?
I want to register my products
Hi, I have just upgraded my Sonos soundbar from a Beam 2 to a Sonos Arc it seems fine however I cannot for the life of me get the Arc to connect to my Era 300,s I have reset the 300,s and turned the router off/on but the Arc won’t recognise the Era,s can anybody offer any advise as my patience has a hair trigger. Thanks in advanceRichard.
My question is related to Calm content NOT available via Sonos. For example, I can’t seem to locate “Your Favorites”, “Recently Played”. Is this a Sonos or Calm issue? I saw an earlier post that certain types of Music on Calm are not available via Sonos… BUT this is a different topic. Any insight into why these sections do not show up in Sonos?
Hey there! I’ve been doing some and decided on getting Sonos Outdoor speakers + Sonos amps for my backyard because I love Sonos and i’ve read that these speakers w/ Trueplay sound great. What’s been very challenging is trying to figure out how many speakers I need to get based on my backyard space. Here’s what I’m thinking so far: Amp #13 speakers in the BBQ area 3 speakers in the covered patio area. Amp #23 speakers on left side of the pool 3 speakers on right side of pool Does this seem appropriate for the space? Also wondering I’m wondering if it’s best to set these up as left/right channels or mono?
I’ve been playing SiriusXM on my Sonos speakers for many years with no problems. Worked great. Now just over the past weeks it is not connecting. I called support and they said engineers working on it but no bulletin or notice. “Unable to play the selected item.” If I try to browse SiriusXM I am told “Unable to browse music.” I’ve logged out of sonos and disconnected sirius multiple times. S2 app version 16 and iphone 15 pro max.
I have around 11 sonos speakers and 3 Apple HomePods. The HomePods work flawlessly for Airplay. But only certain speakers work on the Sonos side for Airplay and no matter what I do, (unplug all speakers and reboot router and modem and finally hard reset most speakers, nothing seems to work I consistently get “unable to connect to “speaker name””. However they all lseem to work on the Sonos V2 app. Has anyone found a fix to this issue?
Looking for some feedback on my predicament due to the room layout. Looking for surrounds to pair with an ARC and SUB. My options are: 8” in ceiling speakers. Speakers would be mounted approx 10’ apart and 6’ behind the listener (in the ceiling of course) Pair of ERA 300’s but need to be mounted on the ceiling, inverted. Ceiling is approx 8’ feet high and ERA’s would need to be mounted about 5’ away from the listener (upside down on ceiling) Just curious what option would give me the best soundstage.
