My Sonos Desktop Controller 17.2.3 quits after I've clicked 'Beheren’ → ‘Instellingen' (I'm on the Dutch language version). Strangely enough when I change the language to English and press 'Manage’ → 'Settings’ it doesn't quit. Any ideas?
After there was an update, I tried to apply it to the speakers, but the app froze. I uninstalled it and installed it again. Now it no longer recognizes anything from my existing system—it can't find any devices on my network, even though nothing on the network has changed. This is simply ridiculous. I'm expected to use an app when I never know what to expect from it. At the moment, I can't control anything at all.Do you even know what you're doing with these updates? This is the second major failure I've experienced, after the huge app update a few years ago.I no longer want to be your customer. This has gone beyond all reasonable limits.Build 87.00.38-release+20260715.c25fd00
Hello,When setting up ERA300, I receive this message:“Sonos error your Era 300 has been added but may not appear in your system. If so, unplug the power cord and plug back in and proceed with set up in the systems tab.”I have reset the router 5 times, unplugged everything, reset all speakers to reset mode and the Era 300’s will not come up.Any fix for this frustration? Thanks, Brian
I don’t have a pair of Ace’s, but poking around in the 96.0 firmware update it appears that the Amp and Five have added support for it. Can someone check?
Hi All,Yesterday my sound stopped working from the Arc. After following a few suggestions of toggling things off and on, restarting tv and arc (fixed it for about a minute then dropped again), I had to reset it. Only then it appears to be back on although haven’t had it on for longer than 15 mins today to see if its a fix. Been working fine for over 2 years. Why would it do this? Is it likely developing and problem or could it simply be a one off handshake issue?Strangely, when I tried to run the SONOS radio instead of TV, the sound came through the rear surrounds.
I currently have a Sonos Play Bar connected to my 85 inch Samsung TV. Since I am experiencing audio drop off’s I am looking to replace the Play Bar with the Arc. My Play Bar currently sits on the counter, under my wall hung TV, that sits at a slight forward angle. At present, the Play Bar is actually hung on the wall by screws, just with about 1/8” clearance above the counter top. The top of the Play Bar is about 1 ½ to 2 inches below the bottom of the TV but sits a good 12 inches behind the bottom of the TV. Based on what I have read within the community, I do not believe the 4 inch separation from the bottom of the TV to the top of the Arc is an issue. Before purchasing, I thought I would reach out for expert advice on placement of the Arc. Is it better to place the Arc against the back wall just like I have the Play Bar now? Or should I bring the Arc forward, in front of the TV, since I have 7 ½ inches of counter top in front of the TV? Whether the Arc is against the back wall or i
I have continuously experienced major problems with the app for years. I have tried every possible fix I could find online, worked with support staff multiple times, and followed all recommended troubleshooting steps. I have restarted and rebooted everything imaginable—the app, speakers, platforms, hardware, and routers. I have even replaced routers, changed platforms, and upgraded hardware, yet the problems persist.I genuinely love the products and have been a loyal customer for nearly 14 years. In fact, I would like to purchase more products. Unfortunately, the ongoing issues with the app overshadow my enthusiasm for expanding my system. What is especially frustrating is that my system often works more reliably when controlled through Spotify and other third-party apps than through the Sonos app itself. That raises an obvious question: what is the underlying problem with the app?The experience with technical support has also been disappointing. After years of dealing with these issues
Hello,I’m hoping someone can help me ensure I get the settings right on my setup. The reason for this is my Sonos Arc keeps cutting out, this causes my TV to switch to TV Speakers then back to the Sonos Arc and its driving me nuts when trying to enjoy TV. Also sometimes I will start watching TV but the Sonos will not engage and so the TV Speakers are used, I have to turn off the Arc at the plug then turn it back on to get the Sonos to take control of the audio output.I have a Sony XR-55A95K Bravia 4K VH21 and a Apple TV 4K (A2843 + 128GB) running TVOS 26.5. All connected via HDMI Cables (Apple TV --> TV & TV ( HDMI® eARC port)--> Sonos Arc).I have replaced the HDMI cables to remove the possibility of a faulty HDMI cable causing the issue, the Arc is connected to the internet via Wi-Fi and my Apple TV is connected via Cat 6 Ethernet cable.I’ve also factory restored my TV but no difference and even re-set the TV and didn’t connected it to the internet or setup and ‘Smart’ featu
I’ve seen a few discussions about this issue, but I haven’t come across anyone who has found a solution.I have a Sonos Five connected to one of my access points (5GHz, using the same SSID as my router and other APs). When my iPhone is connected to that same AP and the Sonos Five, everything works perfectly. I can start music from the Sonos app and control playback without any problems. However, when I move to another part of the house and my iPhone roams to a different AP, the Sonos app can no longer control the Sonos Five. The speaker still appears in the app, but whenever I try to pause, play, or perform any other action, I get a "Could not connect to server" error.Does anyone know what might be causing this?Roaming on the iPhone appears to work smoothly, but it feels like the Sonos app isn’t refreshing its connection properly. Even if I leave it for a long time, it never seems to recover.Interestingly, if I roam back to the main router’s Wi-Fi, the Sonos app immediately recognises wh
I’ve been invested into the Sonos ecosystem for a while now. I’m waiting for delivery of a stereo pair of Fives to go with a turntable. The question is should I upgrade my aging surround set up, namely my rear Play 1’s and Playbar. My mini sub is fairly new and doesn’t need replacing. The build quality of my Play 1’s and Playbar is such that they still sound good to my ear. Does the new stuff blow it out of the water?
BLUF: Upgrade your HD HomeRun to the latest firmware.Just putting this out there after spending the better part of two days troubleshooting sync/garbled audio issues on my 8-zone S1 setup. System has worked great for over 10 years on the current network, then one day this week started having crazy network problems when playing out from a zoneplayer, especially if I grouped zoneplayers.Wireshark showed massive amounts of IPV4 and IPV6 Multicast DNS (MDNS) frames sourced from my HD Homerun, which didn’t make any sense since HD HomeRun has nothing to do with my music setup. Anyway, after thoroughly investigating switch configs, I had a look at the HD Homerun FW release notes. My FW was from 2024, and as it turns out sometime in 2025 they released an update that fixed “compliance issues for MDNS”. I upgraded the HD Homerun to the latest 2026 FW and problem solved. I would not’ve known to susspect the HD HomeRun without the packet capture.
I’m wanting to understand if I connect a Sonos Port to an AV Receiver that is ‘Works with Sonos’ certified, will the AVR switch on automatically if a connected Sonos Port has an active alarm?I couldn’t find any of this information in the documentation or on this site so wanted to ask here. Hoping someone who has used a Sonos Port in this way can respond.Based on the answer I can decide if I should purchase a Sonos Port.
The Scan For new Content button isn’t working. When I go to Music Library settings and press Scan For New Content and then Scan Now nothing happens. Not sure which app update has caused this. There used to be an indication that the scan was in progress. Not now. Can access my Music Library and I know theirs is new content. Any ideas gratefully received.
I am trying to stream a radio station to all my Sonos speakers via Airtime. But it is only recognising one speaker. How do I get Airtime to capture all my speakers? (I have put them into one group via the Sonos app but only one speaker is picked up by Airtime). Thanks

Recently my Sonos app will stop playing if I use another music app on my phone. I used to be able to have a radio station playing through the Sonos app, and separately have a music app playing out to headphones through the phone. This no longer works, if I start playing say Spotify or BBC Sounds on my phone it stops any existing streaming on the Sonos app. And vice versa, if I attempt to restart the stream within the Sonos app, it cuts off the other music playing out through the phone. This behaviour started recently, is it no longer possible for the Sonos speaker to play independently from the phone?
Has anyone had issues with your Sonos system and wireless Access Points? At my company we have several sites that use Sonos and I’ve noticed that my Sonos app will act as if I do not have anything connected to the system unless I am near the speakers or port. After narrowing down the issue, we discovered that the app was only detecting sonos products that are on the same Access Point or if it is on the main router, even though these AP’s are the same network as the main router. Our network tech confirmed the access points are not blocking any communication between the main router and itself, so I was just wondering if there is anything else I should try or if access points and Sonos are just not going to work. Thanks!
I have 2 older moves that are not compatible with the new system I’m trying to grow with 2x era to start. If I’m in the living room I will use 2 eras, otherwise I’ll use 2 Moves 1st gen and put them wherever I want. This is ok I’ve accepted that. The problem is that if I play something on Spotify in the living room and choose 2 Eras, it will play in the kitchen on Moves instead. If I switch back to Eras it will only play Sonos radio, not Spotify. I have played with the app forever trying to fix it. What gives?
i am mounting my sony bravia k-77xr8b tv above fireplace mantel that is 56" high & 9" deep. viewing distance is 11 feet.i want to add my sonos arc ultra soundbar to the confirguration by attaching it to whatever mount I use. Should i use the sanus tilt mount VLT7 and Sanus soundbar mount for arc OR use the Mantel Mount model MM-MAX1? Viewing distance is approx11 feet from fireplace. No heat issues as we dont use fireplace. Secondly, If i use the MM-MAX1 TV Mantel Mount, will the arc utra attach properly to its included soundbar mount?
I am hoping someone can lead me in the right direction. I have had the Sonos S1 app for about 8 years now. The Sonos S1 app controls 2 Sonos connect amps. One amp controls the speakers in the outdoor seating area and the other amp controls the in ceiling speakers inside of the house. While away in my vacation home where I use the Sonos app to control Era 300, Era 100 and One SL, I accidently opened the Sonos S1 app instead of the Sonos app to control the Era 300, Era 100 and One SL speakers. Because it wasn’t working, and it shouldn’t have been because I opened the wrong app, I ended up resetting the entire system on the Sonos S1 app. Immediately after resetting the Sonos S1 app I realized I totally screwed up because I was using the wrong app to control the Era 300, Era 100 and One SL speakers. I should have been using the Sonos app which would have worked but was using the Sonos S1 app. When I got back home I tried to use the Sonos S1 app and there is no system to use. When I
Hi, I was hoping you could help me with an issue.I have the latest Sonos soundbar connected to my TCL TV via an HDMI cable. It’s plugged into the correct HDMI eARC/ARC port, and I’ve enabled all the necessary settings on the TV so that the soundbar should be controllable with the TV remote. The problem is that I can currently only control the soundbar using the Sonos app on my phone or the IR remote that came with my set-top box. However, I’m no longer using the set-top box because I’ve switched to watching TV directly through the TV’s built-in tuner, so I won’t have that remote anymore.I also have the original TCL RF remote, which should be able to control the soundbar, but for some reason I can’t get it to work. The soundbar doesn’t respond to it at all, even though everything suggests it should.I’d really appreciate any advice on how to remove the old remote from the soundbar (it doesn’t even appear in the TV settings anymore) and how to pair or add the new one. At the moment, the so
I generally play imported WPL playlists from my library of MP3s, unshuffled. I recently opened up the queue during playback to see the name of a prior song and noticed that the song order shown is not at all correct. I found that the order of the songs being played is accurate per the WPL playlist, however. Is this a known issue with the Android app?
So over the last week, I have had my ERA 100 randomly connecting to devices that have never connected to it, connecting and booting me off of it. I have made extra it's not an office prank, anyone else having issues like this?
My Sonos move is missing from app, usually fix probs myself but unable today. Sonos te h tell me to interfere with my Sky router reducing 5 ghz to 2.5 GHz. I’m a not tech savvy woman aged 75 who is terrified of interfering with router. Sky says I shouldn’t, Sonos says I should. HELP! I’ve NEVER been ask by Sonos to change anything in router, they have ALWAYS managed to get my system up and running by having me running from room to room switching this on and off, you all know the procedure, exhausting. Extra exhausting today, still without my old beloved MOVE! Any help out there?
Volume keeps turning down on Bluetooth whilst using Spotify
