Dear Sonos - as a pro user, and former beta tester, you have destroyed any confidence that I have in recommending - or for that matter procuring and integrating your products into my client projects. As the saying goes, “you break it, you buy it”. You need to fix this ASAP!
Playbase does not support Apple Music's Lossless sound quality. Why? Why? Why? This is unfair to Playbase users!
I have over a dozen Sonos products in my home and have been a loyal customer since 2016. I’m a huge fan of Sonos speakers and use the app daily. One thing that is incredibly annoying is Sonos Radio. How do I remove or disable Sonos Radio from the app? I use Apple Music, so Sonos Radio just complicates things when using voice control or the app to search for songs. There has to be a way to disable it, right? Thanks in advance!
I personally was not impressed with the OEM case for the Sonos Ace. I’d like to share with you the case I prefer that was designed for Apple’s AirPods Max (of which I own a set); but works quite well with the Ace headset. Speaking of Apple’s AirPods Max OEM case...that IMO was a joke and ½ 😂.Getting back on point...the case I prefer is a bit on the pricy side at $99 made by WaterField Designs in San Francisco, CA. Materials are Leather and Ballistic Nylon with moisture proof zippers. As you will see my choice is black leather; but for the more adventureous there is a white leather option. It’s not as compact as the Sonos Ace OEM case which may be a problem for some. However, IMO its AIO nautilus chambered design is a more complete package for protection, travel and/or EDC. Below are pictures that show a comparison to the Sonos OEM case for the Ace and features of the case I prefer. Enjoy!Side by Side Comparison Height Comparison Volume Comparison Interior Fit and Battery Compartment
Wie kann ich Sprachsteuerung auf meinem Sonos Beam 2 Aktivieren? Moderator Edit: Google Translate-How do I enable voice control on my Sonos Beam 2?
Hello all,I’m seeking help in setting up a Sonos Arc, Sonos Amp (which are connected to ceiling speakers) and Subwoofer to my Sony Bravia TV. Here’s how my set up is:I have 2 amps, that are connected to each other Each amp is connected to 2 ceiling speakers (1 amp family room and 1 amp kitchen) I also have a subwoofer connected to the family room amp via wifi or bluetooth (can’t remember) I have 4 HDMI slots on my Sony Bravia My current set up is the HDMI cable connected to the amps is plugged into the HDMI Arc on my TV When I turn on the TV, the sound comes through the family room speakers and the volume can be controlled by the remote If I want TV to play in the kitchen speakers, I connect it with the Sonos App This set up works fine I now installed a Sonos Arc Soundbar and plugged it into the HDMI Arc on the TV I have the Sonos Amp HDMI cable plugged into a regular HDMI port on the TV The TV sound now only comes out of the Sonos Arc and I can’t figure out how to have the sound also
With the prior app, I always saw a link to activate my TV connection with my Sonos equipment. Now sometimes I’m able to find a TV link, but when I do, I cannot get my Sonos beam, sub and One SL speakers to function with my TV. Is there any chance we can all go back to the prior app until the new one is functioning properly?
Has anyone noticed the Amazon Music queue only loads 100 songs from a playlist? I've noticed that Apple Music works fine. The issue only appears with Amazon Music.
Here is the posted email address for CEO Patrick Spence: ceo@sonos.com I doubt he personally sees or cares about what we say. But worth a shot. I will say, when a company tells you who they are, it behooves us to listen. Personally I hear Sonos loud and clear, they do not give a hoot about its customers.
Please let the developer know your feedback!
Just FYI…The Ace charges at about 5 watts and gradually drops as it reaches a full charge. The cable being used is Baseus PD 100W USB-C to USB-C cable ($15.19) with a 128W GaN PD charger by Pxwaxpy ($28.95). Both products are on Amazon.
Successfully added the music library to my Mac desktop app. But with zero content.Suggestions? I noticed that Sonos finally updated the support guide for adding a library, the solution that had already been posted by users multiple times. But still, nothing to play.
Don’t get me started on the way Sonos has treated our own music collections in the new app. Despicable, and instead of being excited about buying new Sonos hardware this year, I am now looking elsewhere.I was finally able to add my network music files back, that had oddly disappeared after the new app update (using the desktop app). Now, I browse to a location and “pin” it to my home screen (which works fine) - but when I go to my home screen there is an error saying the pinned collection is no longer available, and should be deleted. WTF??Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
Since I updated the app at the weekend my Sonos roam SL will not connect to my account. Switched off and on WiFi, factory reset have been tried. It gets discovered, links but when it gets to adding I getThere was a problem linking your Sonos Roam SL to your account.!Try again can anyone help?
In light of this new app complete disaster (100% of my customers hate it, not to mention all the missing features, and the fact that Sonos continues to spend money marketing their stupid headphones instead of rolling back the app until they actually have a working product), I am considering other options. Does anyone here have any first hand experience with Blusound (or an alternative)? They have some interesting products that fill the hole in the products Sonos is lacking. But I would really like to hear from some folks who actually sell and deploy alternate systems, preferably largeish ones (20+ amps) per job. How's the app? Ease of use compared to the bulletproof S1System hardware reliable?Deployment easy?Anything else? Thanks in advance.
Hello, My Sonos app is not controlling my Play 3 speaker anymore. The app is constantly showing error messages that there is no product found, yet it finds the product after about thirty minutes. I then play a song and half way through the song the app just shows the error message that there is no product! Yet it was playing the song!? I press the volume but there is no immediate response. Three minutes later the volume adjusts! There is tremendous lag with every single function on the app. Also if I press a function in the app (like Spotify) the whole app freezes and I have to try and close everything and start again. Also the app will not shut down, as it doesn't respond to commands in the app (as the app is frozen). I go to the 'force stop' command on my phone and this doesn't even work to stop the app. The app is completely unusable and it is not communicating with my Play 3 properly. I've rebooted all devices and nothing helps. I don't want to factory reset the Play 3, as I'll los
The new app doesn’t react when I want to turn off music, change volume and source.Any one who experienced the same?
I keep on getting "something went wrong" when trying to play music
I have read several of the concerns about the apparent removal of the music library and the related 913 Error Code. I’ve tried the solution that was posted about adding sharing to the files that I’d like in the music library. I have four files that previously made up my library. I added sharing to each file and still couldn’t add the files to the library. I tried updating and rebooting my computer and got the same result, a 913 error code.Is there something else I can do?I have added Sonos products over the years so I could play my music from my libraries. I’m really not interested in the streaming services. I read the email from Sonos about the changes coming and thought that libraries on your own computer would still work. Thanks for any help.
Still waiting for the promised RMA Email after several calls and chats. This is not a good service. Since one week I am in contact with Sonos.
After last app-update on Samsung Android in June 24 the albumcover got lost when music is played from NAS (Synology). It is only possible on Desktop version not on mobile device. Compared to older app-versions there is also no function for new-reading library. May I hope that future updates will solve these issues?
Surprising of what Sonos did some time ago - releasing a complete new app approach without a detailed testing. This is at least how it felt, and what the short release cycle right after the rollout just proves! When trying to get in dialogue with them, Sonos is really skilled in just replying again and again the same text-phrases. “Thanks for your understanding”, … Individual dialogue isn’t possible at all. It seems like Sonos support is still overloaded with this crazy rollout-procedure. Each email contains apologizes for delayed replies due to huge amount or requests. The manager being responsible for the development process just needs to get fired! How stupid can it be to do an rollout like this. The switch form S1 to S2 was already strange, but users at least have had a chance to choose. Why hasn’t Sonos done the new release in a similar way? Just rolling out in parallel to S2!Strange promises about delivering missing features step by step are still not fully fulfilled. Or has anybod
Today I rushed through a change to my companies financial reporting system. Unfortunately it caused a considerable number of users to be locked out. Those that weren’t locked out had massively reduced functionality. It caused absolute uproar amongst our user base, they were not happy at all!Initially I thought I had been utterly incompetent and was deserving of the sack. However, it turns out I wasn’t being useless at my job. I was in fact being “courageous”. I look forward to telling my boss this on Monday. I might even ask them for a pay rise. Thanks Sonos execs for showing me the way!
I’ve had Sonos in my house since around 2015 and I’ve noticed the app has, in the last few years, become less and less reliable. It’s gotten to the point where if I want to listen to music I have to tickle the app (by accessing it then shutting it down a few times) around 20-30 mins before it will actually find my system. I can be standing a metre from my router and one of the speakers and it still can’t find it. I give up trying, come back in half an hour or so and it’s finally managed to find it. So essentially it takes 20+ mins for the app to turn on. It was never like this until a few years ago. What’s changed ?
On the new Sonos app, the "Shuffle All Uploaded Music" option, on YouTube Music, will provide a mix of 100/25,000 songs but only gives you the option to play any one of those songs at a time.Is there a way, through YouTube Music, to shuffle and play my entire collection of uploaded content without interruption?
