I just purchased my Era 100 to connect it to a Samsung Monitor. The speaker connected to my iPhone and iPad perfectly but not with the monitor. The monitor does not have bluetooth so I bought a bluetooth transmitter and it works perfectly with my AirPods and Sony earphones but not with the speaker. The Sonos app indicates that it's connected to the BT transmitter but there is no sound. I also tried to connect the speaker with a 3.5 mm jack and nothing, no sound. do I need to buy a better BT transmitter? I bought a random one from Amazon or do I need the Sonos in-line adapter?
EDIT: I made a mistake, it's not a Gen 2 but a Gen 1! I don't have Bluetooth on it. Hello,I changed my Wi-Fi network, so I wanted to reconnect my speakers. I can't do it via the app, even though I connected them directly to the router using an Ethernet cable that I had tested and confirmed to be working.I then performed a factory reset on my speakers.I left one unplugged, wanting to set them up one by one.I tried the wireless setup—nothing worked. So I plugged the speaker into Ethernet, directly into my router, and attempted to set it up via the Android app (I'm using a OnePlus 11 in perfect condition, with the latest version of the app, which I even uninstalled and reinstalled to test).I also tried with my Samsung S5E tablet, but got the same result. The speaker is blinking green, everything seems fine.In the app, I tap "Add a speaker," select my Sonos One, and the app stays on "Preparing your Sonos One" for a while. Then, after about a minute, the app says, "Connection to your Sonos One
When I select a Spotify song in the Sonos app and checkmark all or a subset of the Sonos speakers on my wireless LAN, the speakers will randomly mute and unmute before gradually settling into the specified song and configuration. This process can require almost a minute, presumably while the network services finish negotiating?Across my townhome I have seven (7) Sonos Five speakers, plus a small theater with an arc ultra, sub mini, and two Era 300s.I have a relatively high-end wireless router (a Nighthawk with 40-50 device capacity).I’d like to be able to select a song, check a subset of the speakers, and have the music reliably begin on the target devices without latency.
Hi all I have what I guess is old tech now in a Play 1, been a superb servant for many years. I have a problem connecting wirelessly after changing broadband providers. Factory reset it, and sets up fine with Ethernet cable, but I'm having trouble updating network ( saying no product found) whilst wired up with the cable. If I unplug from router it simply doesn't find the device. Any help hugely appreciated
Hi all, I have an issue with error 913. I run S1 and S2 Windows 10 and android apps. S1 can add library from NAS drive (Dlink DNS323, Old but still kicking), but S2, comes up with error 913?Looked things up, but still confuddled!Cheers for advice.
Im using Sonos app (v 80.16.33 ie the most recent version iOS released 2 weeks ago as of agent 15, 2025). When attempting to use the horizontal sliders for Volume Control of speakers individually or as a room, I find it extremely difficult to adjust with my finger the volume in small increments eg (+/-1 increments) - especially attempting to reduce the volume.I happen to have a surround setup with Sonos arc, and controlling the surround setup’s volume settings in the surround settings → “Surround Volume” for “TV” and “Music”, there are much appreciated “-“ and “+” buttons to the left and the right of the finger slider volume control. I suggest and kindly request that the Sonos app (at least for iOS) throughout the app adds the “-“ and “+” to the left and right of the end of all all the volume sliders in the app (ie for all speakers playing music) - to make it easier to adjust playing volume in small increments.
I'm experiencing difficulties with the Arc Ultra and Alexa built-in volume/sound/audio vs TV/music volume control. There's a mismatch in the audio between Alexa and TV or music. Specifically, the Alexa speaking volume is almost inaudible. If I turn up the volume I can hear it fine. When I switch to TV/music the volume is way too loud forcing immediate action to turn it off or turn down the volume. I've had the Ulta Arc for about a week. Alexa is not usable if I have to turn up/down the volume for Alexa then the TV.Are there separate volume controls for Alexa vs TV/music? If there are separate audio controls I've not been able to find anything in the app or instructions. Are there any other options such as equalizing Alexa audio to match the TV/music?
just got eras100 2 of them. how can I get both to play from my computer. it only lets me have 1 output??"
Hi! I have an Arc with Sub (Gen 3). I’d like to buy Era 100 as rear surround, but I can’t position them vertically at ear height. Can I position them orizzontally about 15 inches below the ears?Of course, TV & ARC are in front of me!Thank you
Hello. Since 10 days all my Sonos speakers can’t play Spotify and stream Spotify via Airplay. I have been in contact with Sonos support 5 times and yesterday they said that there has been a lot of users with the same problem. I have also been in contact with Spotify and they were not aware of the issue? I have updated all devises, re-installed Spotify and Sonos and done everything the supports have asked me to do. The only thing which is working is Sonos Radio and other music services but not Spotify.I told Sonos support to put this as an issue so other users could be aware of this enoying issue. But not seen anything posted. I guess they prefer of spending hours of support of people like me contacting them instead...
Sonos forgetting all my speakers... why
With setup Era 300 + Ultra Arc have you notice a significant difference (musically speaking) between spotify and apple/amazon music Apple/Amazon have HD music. In the other hand, not spotify. Although I enjoy the music discovery from Spotify, I wander if it is time to switch to a music provider that has HD music. Knowing the lossless quality is better, can we actually ear a difference from the compression format offered from Spotify? Thank you in advance
I have a turntable connected to my Era 1 with the line in cable, but as soon as the record stops and I change sides the app loses all the rooms, they are greyed out, I have to close the app and wait around 2/3 minutes for them to re-appear, it only does this on the ERA with a turntable, its so frustrating as you lose part of the first track, the ERA 1 is grouped with an Arc, sub and two play ones
Hi. The News Agents has disappeared from Sonos and News Agents US has never been able to play. any fix for this does anyone know? Thanks
My Sonos is up to date. It’s a Sonos one. When radio is playing through Alexa it skips in the track
I have 12 ports and while i airplay or use my android phone to airplay to any of the zones the connection will play and then after a few minutes it drops and disappears from my samsung S25 or any ios device. i can restart and only get a minute or two of streaming.i havent tried on the Sonos app but i really want to stream music from my device (Spotify and Tidal)i see many post over the years regarding same issue, has anyone found the solution?TIA
The Sirius Xtra channels (not the live DJ’d channels, but the shuffled themed channels) seem to sometimes (but not always) skip to the next song prematurely, like after 3 minutes into the song, so before the song ends. This doesn’t happen when I stream from the Sirius app, only when I’ve started playing the Xtra channel from the Sonos app. I’ve confirmed this behavior with other Sonos users I know. Does anyone have a solution?
Hi all,I have a Sonos Beam that I’d like to connect with a turntable by a phono sound amplifier. The connection between the the turntable and the amplifier via RCA cables works well with other sound speakers.Since the sound amplifier output cable is an RCA 3.5mm I need a kind of connector to hdmi. I tried with one bought on Amazon, but it didn’t work. Any suggestions? For reference, this is the connector I bought on Amazon: ABLEWE RCA to HDMI Adattatore, Convertitore RCA HDMI 1080P Mini AV a HDMI Composito CVBS Video Audio Supporto Pal/NTSC per PC/Laptop/Xbox / PS4 / PS3 / TV/STB/VCR Telecamera Dvd : Amazon.it: Elettronica ThanksSamu

No sound from Playbar after connecting to new Bravia 8 XR80 using Optical Audio adapter connected to eArc HDMI port on TV.

Hi, I have a question about the Sonos App (on Android).I’ve hooked up my LG OLED48CX6LB TV to a new Beam Gen 2 Sound Bar via HDMI. I’ve configured all the settings correctly. When I play a Dolby ATMOS test video from Youtube (on the TV) and look at the “whats playing” section of the App, I can see the audio formats change depending on what I’m watching. My question is when I play a Dolby Atmos test video, it says Dolby Multichannel PCM 2.0, is this correct or should it display the Dolby Atmos logo and say Dolby ATMOS?Thanks
While hunting down a problem with Music Library files not being recognized by some of my components (after installing a new Asus WiFi router) I found folders on the music library hard drive with names like:FTOY07~G_OLYYS~F_WTT9Q~PThis is shown in Finder on macOS when I browse the drive. If I insert the drive directly to a Mac, these folder names are not shown. Instead I find that they have unusual characters and quotes. Possibly also long file names.Names like:[RI028] "Mu"'Ignacio'Fax|Nmlk If I index the Music Library with only ‘old’ Sonos components (like Connect) active there is no problem on these components. If I index the Music Library with only ‘new’ Sonos components (like Play1 & 3 and Sound Bar) active there is no problem with these components. However when I mix ‘new’ and ‘old’, one of the categories will fail to find these folders when I try to play on these components. Which it is depends on which I indexed last.Maybe long file names will also produce these errors.-Previou
I share a SSD HD on my WiFi using USB to Asus AX WiFi router. I have my Sonos Music Library on that disk.I used to have an Airport Extreme router, using this disk. With Asus some players does not find the Music Library, actually they don’t even find the HD.Since I have older components I use S1. I’ve read that it might have to do with Samba version. Could that be the case when some components still can find the Music Library and play the files? Not sure if the Asus router lets me change Samba version. Also, which would be the recommended file system on the shared disk for Sonos compability?
When I try to connect my play1 to the system, the play1 do not play the sound-pincode. Is there a way to connect the speaker without it?
