I’ve had a Sonos Beam 1st Gen and several other Sonos speakers for a few years; they worked fine with both the Sonos App and Airplay. For the last few months, however, while all my Sonos speakers continue to work fine with the App, and my other Sonos speakers continue to work fine with Airplay, the Beam no longer works with Airplay. I’ve power-cycled the Beam and restarted my router several times, but the Beam still doesn’t work. Everything has been updated to the latest versions. I’ve noted that there have been several other posts with the same issue in these forums. Is there anything else I can try?
On opening the controller this afternoon after non use for a couple of days the controller window opens but its empty, Windows 11 with latest updates. I did a system restore to before the latest update thinking it may be the culprit but its not that. I deleted the app and reinstalled to no avail. It works fine on my Windows 10 machine, tablet and phone. Any thoughts anyone?
I have a Sonos play 5 gen 2 speaker that I love but recently I haven’t been able to connect it to my app with out the use of a Ethernet cable. The speaker is outside of warranty so is there something you can do or am I out of luck.
Hi, I'm joining the club of people whose Sonos app doesn't play podcasts on Youtube Music. This issue is also valid on Android12 (S10e), Android15 (P9P), Apple IOS18.3 (iPhone14) and Windows10. I’m facing two problems:1) the new episodes list is empty, but only on mobile apps (Android +IOS),2) when I start a podcast episode in the podcast's library, it reads through the entire library and then says it can't play any of them randomly. This is also true for the Windows 10 version. If I uninstall and reconnect to the YT Music service, it's fine for about 1-2 days, then wrong again.Any solutions for that?Thank you.Ferenc
I have classic fm live station set as my alarm. When it’s via Tune In it works - but announces ‘welcome to tune in’ every time. When I use global player, there is no annoying announcement but the alarm doesn’t work. Why doesn’t the alarm work with global player?
I wish to be able to change what time my alarms are set to and it would be super convenient if I could just have a widget which displayed the alarm times set on my Sonos App.I am aware there is a 3rd party app which allows this due to using shortcuts but the price is far too high and I feel this feature ought to be in the native app.Currently I have to go through a few submenus just to get to the alarms (I change them everyday as I have a job whereby I have a different start time each day which is dictated to by my boss so its always last minute notice).
Yieaouwl! I usually just turn it off and on again, sometimes I have to hard reset it and re-add it to my system, yet now I'm attempting to re-add it through my iPhone iOS app, it does show up as an option, yet I'm being prompted with a message in Portuguese-Brasil demanding me to login as the system's owner, although I'm already logged in as the owner. Router is usually fine and with a stable connection. Feeling lost and confused. Need help. What should I do? Thanks and all the best, a.k.a. _wonderwiz
In the long list of problems with the app, this is the top one for me right now. When I use the search function, I get the below message. When I click on it it says everything is functioning (and it is) but I can only search in apple music. If I go to my library to search directly there it crashes and brings me back to the main menu. This means, since I don’t have the letter index on my album list anymore, that I basically can’t listen to any record I own that begins with anything after like E without scrolling for fifteen minutes. Any way to fix this?
Hi all,I have bought a Sonos Amp which will be connected a total of 6 Sonos in-ceiling speakers: 4 x 8” in the living room, 1 x 6.5” in the kitchen and 1 x 6.5” in the bathroom (all playing in mono obviously).I need to be able to select (= switch on/of) 3 zones: living room, kitchen and bathroom. Since Sonos does not support zones, I am thinkng of using the Taga Harmony TS-4 (see here) as a speaker selector. What worries me, since I am not very knowledgeable in the subject, is if there will be any issues regarding currents & impedance that could destroy the Sonos Amp, speaker or even the Taga Harmony! Could you please advise me regarding this issue?Thank you!
L application ne retrouve plus le système après etre sortie et donc reconnecté au wifi de la maison. Toute la procédure d installation doit être refaite à chaque fois.Je regrette tellement d avoir acheté ce système il y a qq années. Moderator Edit - Translation by Google:The app no longer finds the system after logging out and reconnecting to the home Wi-Fi. The entire installation procedure must be repeated each time.I so regret buying this system a few years ago.
The end of the ‘old’ Tunein has terminated the custom radio stream for a too long time already. There is a very cumbersome way to get it back, but it requires far too many steps and the custom links are sent to the favortires where they cannot be edited. The feature still exists in the Windows App but it is useless.I went to Sonos because of this feature and I’m not the only one in this case. So, WHEN WILL YOU HAVE AN ELEGANT SOLUTION to the infuriating lack of this feature???
Hi,Not sure if anyone has asked that already (couldn’t find any posts) but why the ERA300 cannot be used with the SONOS amp and SUB as surround speakers. Why do one need to use the ERA100’s ??I didn’t expect that one would have to get the ARC in order utilize these great speakers as the surrounds
Hello, I’ve had issues for weeks…I moved from the US overseas- obviously requiring a new network. I finally had a person via chat tell me that I needed to update my Vodafone setting to split the 2.4 and 5G. So now I have the WiFi split. Finally getting some momentum in not having to connect my be via the Ethernet in order for it to be recognized. However, when I go to update the network, to the new 5G, all four products I own appear, and all connect except for the beam. It is recognized, then at the very end of the work flow states something went wrong, please select your product again. I then go to search again, and it doesn’t pop up a second time. If I kill the app. Then the beam pops up and I restart the process each time with the same error message. Any advice?? Thank you in advance
I am used to stream the local national radio stations - for witch we already pay concessions - listen add-free. But with sonos I allways have adds when starting up the radio stations. In general the software interface from Sonos is Not Open for normal radio streams.
I purchased 2 sonos move 2 olive green at a goodwill. One works great the other was open box in a beta test box that says prima evt and has a flower pit on the front as well as a disclaimer sticker. Both have the same serial numbers A100 2301WC ************One works great the other from the beta box wont register or update. Any help would be great. I called sonos and they have no serial # like that. Want to know if i have a giant paper weight or if theres a fix. I was not able to connect Soundbar with my iPhone using the airplay. It keeps asking me Airplay on screen code which I never had it. Please advise. Thanks
After the November 18th Sonos update it appears that the Alexa/Sonos integration skills no longer work. After disabling the skill in the Alexa app and then adding it back, Alexa cannot find any of my Sonos devices. However, my Sonos devices from within the Sonos app work just fine. It appears the API is having issues?
I haven’t used my Sonos for a few months. I trued to use today and only one of my speakers are working and n one room. The other won’t sync—it’s on. Account tells me to sign in and sign out. Having trouble doing both/either so I can’t get anything done Moderator Edit - Edited thread title.
I have an iheartradio subscription, however on my android phone Sonos application, iheartradio is not listed as an available service. Called customer service twice. Rebooted router, phone ,all my Sonos speakers,un-installed and reinstalled the App with no luck. Sent Sonos diagnostic info x 3. All my info on Sonos.com is correct. Live in Illinois. The iheartradio App works fine on my phone. Any ideals?
Posting this to make sure I am not missing something. I am a long time Sonos customer. Recently decided to add a Turntable to my system. Looked at Victrola Stream Carbon sold by Crutchfield and Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable sold by Sonos coupled with the Era100 and line-in adaptor. I went for the Pro-ject T1 and Era100 combo. Got the Turntable and Era connected after receiving the separately ordered RCA -Y male to 3.5mm mini jack. Everything working fine. Era100 (my first) is very nice sound! But there seems to be some shortcomings on both the Turntable and Sonos app which is why I am posting this to get some perspective from others. First, it’s been many years since I owned a Turntable so I had assumed a modern Turntable would have a few standard features like auto return once it reached the end of the vinyl side or the platter motor would idle once the arm is returned to a resting position. What I discovered is that I have bought a very, very basic turntable. Must p
How can I set the volume higher on my two play 1?Al the sound comes out the ray and only a little on my play 1 devices
I’m on the latest Plex Media Server and Plexamp versions, and I’m trying to Cast a music playlist from my PMS to various Sonos devices via Plexamp. I know this can be done internally via the Plex plugin on the Sonos app. I tried that and it works flawlessly besides I really miss Loudness Leveling in PlexAmp.So, I’m playing the playlist from Plexamp, streaming it to Sonos. All the connections are “working” – I see the Sonos devices in the Cast icon of Plexamp and the Plex metadata is reaching the Sonos UI in the form of song titles, but music isn’t playing. Instead it beachballs for about 10 secs when I start a playlist and then moves to the next song in the playlist. It does it over and over. If I stop casting to Sonos, Plexamp is fine again. It’s got to be something between plexamp and Sonos. Has anyone else dealt with this?
Just finally caved in and added Spotify to our Sonos.Have Sonos Playbar, a pair of Play3’s and a Sonos Move. Spotify within Sonos will not play on the Play3’s, alone! Have to play Spotify tracks on the Playbar first and add the Play3’s!! Then they’ll play the music?? If I then remove the Playbar. Then they’ll play music will STOP playing!!REALLY SONOS!! apart from a really slow system l, how much more useless is this system going to become?
I recently bought a projector and a sonos beam gen 2 soundbar to connect both to my PC and have a cheap home-cinema setup. Eventhough I can connect my PC to the Beam, I cannot use the beam as a speaker, I can only cast music on it from the Sonos app. Is there a possibility to do what I have in mind?
Trying to connect Sonos to Alexa but when go to settings to add component or speaker it won’t let me click on add button. Why is that?
