Era 300’s need an Atmos capable device to command them as surrounds - in a surrounds set up all sound is managed by the soundbar/Amp. The Amp isn’t Atmos capable.
So Era100 doesn't need atmos amd 300s do need? Where the logic in it?

Era 100s are, to a degree, the equivalent of the previous Ones.
Era 300s have up-firing speakers and are more advanced. You would usually buy the Era 300s to 1) maximise the potential from Dolby Atmos/Spacial music playback, and/or 2) generate a Dolby Atmos home cinema set up which would already include a Dolby Atmos-capable soundbar.
If you don’t have an Atmos-capable soundbar then there is no reason to buy the Era 300s for your surround sound needs. The Era 100s will perform incredibly well as surrounds with your set-up.
