I have 3 stereo pairs. Eras in kitchen and bedroom, Play 1 in study. Have had all speakers drop out except one of the pair in kitchen twice, and today all but one in bedroom. It’s exhausting trying to repeatedly fix things. I always have to break the stereo pair in the involved room to start restoring sound to all.
How to return in application "new" feature - the ability to enable Auto Trueplay in Android application? (If you have turned off Auto Trueplay in the app, you will not be able to turn it on again either in the app or via the touchpad on the speaker) I have Sonos Move×4,Sonos Roam×2.
I absolutely hate how the volume control on the app is set up, the mute button is so close to the slider and makes it near impossible to lower the volume below a certain level without accidentally hitting the mute button. And don’t tell me you can use the slider to move down lower, it’s so sensitive you can have the volume all over the place until you fluke the level required. A simple fix would be to leave a wider gap between the end of the volume line and the mute button to avoid unnecessary taps.PS - 1st world problem 😊
I’m having an issue with my system and playing to multiple speakers together. I have two Ones in a “backyard zone” and an individual Play:1 in my garage. In my basement I have an Ultra with 2 100s that are bonded for surround sound. i can play to any of these systems individually. And I can go into the Sonos app and tell my Backyard zone and my garage speaker to play at the same time. No problem. I can also play to my Basement bonded system. What I can’t seem to do is have the bonded Basement system play music together with any other speakers. If I want to have anything work, I need to disconnect the surrounds from the basement system. Then I can use the Sonos app to play to the two 100s, backyard zone and garage. is there not a way I can just keep the bonded system together so I don’t have to remove the rounds and re-add them all the time?
Hi, I need help with a persistent AirPlay issue that now only affects my Roam SL.What works:Era 300 appears in AirPlay after router reboot. HomePod Mini works normally. Roam SL is reachable on LAN by IP. Roam SL responds on Sonos API port 1400.What does not work:Roam SL does not appear as an AirPlay target. Roam SL does not appear in RAOP browse either. Factory reset + firmware update did not fix it.Network and device context:OpenWrt router, subnet 192.168.5.0/24. Era 300 at 192.168.5.226, Roam SL at 192.168.5.172. Mac is on same subnet, direct reachability is good. Router reboot restored Era behavior but not Roam.Diagnostics already performed:dns-sd browse:Era/HomePod show in _airplay._tcp and _raop._tcp. Roam missing repeatedly.Roam direct checks:ping OK. HTTP on 1400 OK. AirPlay service endpoint on 7000 responds.Sonos API checks:DeviceProperties schema contains AirPlayEnabled. /status/airplay returns 200. /reboot endpoint returns forbidden on current firmware.Comparison result:Era a
Not as great as I expected!!
At about 0830 hrs GMT today my Sonos S1 system suddenly stopped playing. I was prompted to open S2 app as the only device found was my Roam 2 which uses S2. I have done all the usual things several times: Unplugged router, unplugged all devices and then re-connected them all, pressed buttons to get orange lights flashing, but this time nothing resolves the issue. It appears that something may have been initiated by Sonos, by accident or design, to encourage (force) S1 users to move over to S2. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Ubiquity UDM Pro, 8 access points, 3 switches. It is configured well and per Sonos’s recommendations.Network has been reliable and the other 100+ devices work perfectly. Sonos speakers are working, but they no longer show up in the app and I am unable to “find” them in the app. Sonos support goes through their script, then says call support - they want to dive into my network, but this was set up and working for months on the exact same conffiguraition so I don’t suspect the network. Support has not yet had any insight why the setup is gone in the app. There is not way to save the configuration and I did a lot of setup on the sound bar.Frustrated. Anyone have a solution? Same issue? I have power cycled the Sonos speakers, what else can I try? TIA GEON
Tonight I have just cancelled my Sonos Hd subscription (only had it a few days) as I cannot get it to work… I have tried rebooting the router and disconnected everything to no avail tried updating the app etc honestly I think I have exhausted everything….. thinking why am I getting this mad over something that should work without any issues…. So I cancelled it… no HD whatsoever… even though it says I am subscribed to itunless anyone here has a solution I have missed… I bought a pair of Sonos 300 era speakers that sound ok… thinking they’d would be better in HD but obviously no good if it doesn’t work.. I still have just over 3 weeks subscription left can anyone help.. then I may re subscribe….. When I look at the forums I see issues… so it’s obviously not just me..
Is there a simple way to pair my Sonos speakers with my iPhone? Reviews of the apps indicate difficulty, costs and primitive development.
I am not sure where this topic now sits in terms of complaints, but I have now cracked connecting my Music Library to my Sonos app.1 - Your music library must not be in a sub folder. I save my Library directly to the D drive on my computer2 - Go to your Music Library and right click so that you can see the properties 3 - Go to sharing 4 - Click on Share and ensure your system in “shared” and must be set to Read/Write - you will get a 913 error otherwise 5 - Ensure or system is sharing Media 6 - You should now be able to add your Music Library to your Sonos app 7 - Your Music Library should now be visible on your app
Spotify’s “mix” feature has been out for over 6 months now, When will this be usable for Sonos? IMO, It’s pretty wild that such a game changing feature for Sonos-Spotify users is not even on the radar for Sonos. Prove me otherwise please 🙌(I have searched for some time to find if it is even on Sonos’ radar)
I have arc ultra, era 300 as surrounds and brand new sub 4 (which replaced sub mini) . I had mixed feelings regarding sub 4, comparing to sub mini, so I tried frequency sweep with surrounds off. I found that sub 4 works perfectly at 30hz but then there is hole between 33- 45hz, there is almost no rumble (in fact sub drivers stop) Checked in some places in room (sub crawl etc), with on and off trueplay, with loudness off and on - there is always poor response between 33-45 hz. Sub rumbling at 30hz, the rumbling is gone and then at circa 45 returns….To be clear: made multiple tests (after full factory reset, fresh advanced truplay calibration and after last update), and tested sub with stereo par of symfonisk bookshelf gen 2. Always there is hole around 35 - 45 with total lack of drivers response at part of frequency range (in music when cutoff frequency matters and in only LFE (dolby 5.1) sub frequency tests.I understand that room geometry matters, and maybe truplay must be repeated, b
My Review: My audio journey has spanned almost every configuration imaginable: basic 5.1 wired sets, LG soundbars, Sony AV receivers with Bose systems, and eventually the standard Sonos 5.1. I recently took the ultimate leap, upgrading via Sevenoaks to the full Sonos flagship setup: the Arc Ultra, two Era 300s, and a Sub Gen 3.Moving from a standard 5.1 to this 9.1.4 system has been a revelation. Here is my honest take:The Positives (+)The Gold Standard of Sound: Sonos is undoubtedly the king of the sound world. It offers a deep, premium quality bass paired with a crispness that is a joy for anyone who listens with "attentive ears." Once you go Sonos, you can’t live without it.Simplest Setup Ever: This was the easiest system I’ve ever used. Connect the Arc Ultra first, then add the other pieces one by one—the whole system bonds flawlessly. No tech-headache required.True Dolby Atmos: To truly enjoy Atmos, you need this specific kit. The Era 300s and Arc Ultra work together to create a m
I've disassembled my Sonos ZP90 ZonePlayer to replace some capacitors on the power board that I believe are preventing it from powering on. However, when I got inside and inspected the board more closely, I spotted a couple of things I'd like to get some advice on. The red circles show where some solder has bridged between some components. Is this intentional? Would this be enough to stop it working? Can anyone check their power board to see if they have the same? On the left, the three pins are for a TLV43 transistor. Thanks
For my home theater, should I go with the ultimate immersive set with Arc Ultra or with AVR? I don’t know if my rooms 7 ft drop ceiling with a 24-inch wide AC trunk running through it(covered with drop ceiling) will allow for the speakers to perform their best.
Is there an option in the app to change a single tap to play to a double tap to play? Too often when I’m fiddling around in the queue my finger starts a track when my intent was to scroll up or down a bit. If I could choose Double Tap to play that would not happen while scrolling.
I have two Era 100’s I have in a stereo pair that will loose connection with each other causing one of the speakers to quit playing. Opening the app and looking, they are still paired together, just not working. why isn’t SONOS doing anything about it since they know about it? Or am i not seeing their solution? i have tried everything possible and nothing, they keep cutting off. Come on SONOS why is there a community forum, do you not look at it?It’s doing it now as i write this Forum...
This post has information culled from the internet via AI and my less capable brain.Sonos is moving into a new era of audio streaming associated with music and video. Twenty years ago, in 2016 the prevalent audio for a wireless solution was two-channel stereo. Later in 2013 Sonos introduced the Playbar as it transitioned into the Dolby Digital 5.1 audio for movies. WiFi 4 (802.11n) was adequate as Dolby Digital 5.1 is a compressed, lower-bandwidth audio format (typically around 384-640 kbps), which is well within the capabilities of a Wi-Fi 4 network.Today whole-home audio is a growing trend to listen to music in any room or multiple rooms at the same time. Wired components utilizing amps and speakers are a last resort. The average consumer wants a Wireless solution (like Sonos) to provide whole-home audio entertainment. As, I mentioned at the start of this post two-channel audio was the prevalent audio medium in 2016 for a Wireless solution. Although Dolby Atmos has been around since
I followed the instruction on downgrading (Swedish version) and they are not entirely correct.https://support.sonos.com/sv-se/article/downgrade-a-sonos-product-to-s1For starters there are important aspects missing in the information. There are steps not described where you have to guess, the big one is the connect to wifi at the end. Am I supposed to do that or not? No info. Answer is yes, connect to wifi. Then there’s step 5 where I was supposed to “swipe away” a pop up window. That was not really possible on the iPad version. I tried many times swiping but the window would not go away. It had to be solved by going out of the application and in again. Then we have the step where a code from the Port is supposed to be entered. The design is complete disaster, see image. Almost completely transparent and numers 3, 6 and 9 almost unreachable. I mean come on, have you even tried yourself to follow these instructions and steps like a novice to confirm it’s correct and works? There’s “room fo
Hi. Is anyone else experiencing dropouts, skips, etc with Apple Music since Apple Music moved to Lossless? Before Lossless was introduced, I never had these issues. I have tried Amazon HD and Quboz in the past - both high-res services - and experienced the same behavior. Eventually my system will realize it’s not working and then downgrade back to non-Lossless music, but then it will try again 5 songs or so later. We really need a toggle in the app to downgrade to non-Lossless streaming for the systems that can’t handle it.
I’ve been thinking about a somewhat unconventional Sonos setup and wanted to see what the community thinks.Imagine placing four Sonos Sub Mini units, one in each corner of the room, to distribute bass more evenly across the listening space. The idea isn’t about making the system louder — it’s about achieving balanced bass response across the room, reducing dead spots, and smoothing out room modes. In theory, multiple distributed subs can improve low-frequency consistency because bass waves interact heavily with room geometry. Spreading smaller subs around the room can sometimes produce more uniform bass compared to a single large subwoofer. However, from what I understand, Sonos currently limits the configuration: Only one Sub Mini can be bonded to a single Sonos room/zone. Some home-theater setups allow up to two full-size Sonos Subs, but not multiple Sub Minis together. So the question becomes more theoretical (or experimental).Let’s assume pricing is completely out of the context an
Just moved into brand new apartment. Started by having my 65 inch TV hung. I've purchased the sonos arc ultra, then added 2- 300's for surround sound, and finally a mini sub.At times - from the start it was perfect, and I could get it to work perfectly. But mainly through my phone, not the TV remote.Spoke with sonos support was told the internet was an issue. However I have excellent reception of internet and speed. It's worked many, many, times and failed just a few. However, now after the phone call and the testing, I can't get anything but the ultra. Excuse me, arc ultra to connect to the T. V please, can anybody help with any suggestions ideas? I'm wide open as I'm a new user. And I know I have a lot to learn. Thank you so much.
How come there is no Accuradio album art on the Sonos app? It shows on the Windows controller so I know the artwork exists.Any ideas?John
Moderator edit:Google Translate-Hello everyone,I'm having frequent Bluetooth disconnection problems with my Sonos Ace headphones. I've tried connecting them with different devices, and the same thing happens. It's not a pairing issue, but rather disconnections after the headphones have already paired with these devices. This happens when I'm close to the paired device and
