I set up 3 alarms for my Move. Finally got one fired up, set the duration for 2 hours - 2 hours and 10 minutes later - it is still playing!! What gives??? This is on my S2 system. I have an alarm set on my Play5 on an S1 system for later, will have to watch that one now
I’ve been reading numerous complaints about Sonos update failures, but I consider myself quite fortunate. Having recently transitioned from a high-end, complex music system with an array of cables, countless remotes, and endless subwoofer calibrations, I am thoroughly impressed with my Sonos setup. The simplicity and richness of the sound, coupled with the seamless experience, have been truly remarkable. My setup is running flawlessly, and my enjoyment of streaming music has never been better. Remarkably, I made this switch at the age of 65, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. No regrets at all!Thank you SONOS, you guys made the difference!
There are a lot of post claiming that Android is having severe issues with the Sonos app. Granted there was a bug that caused the app to crash on Android (approximately 2-3 weeks ago). That appears to have been fixed. I’m an iOS user (iPhone 15 ProMax) however, I wanted to experience the Sonos app first hand in Android so I purchased a Galaxy Tab A9 plus 11-inch 2024 model. It a relatively inexpensive model compared to other Android and iPAD tablets and/or devices. My iOS is running 17.6.1 and Android is on Version 14. The Sonos App is 80.06.03 and 80.06.04 respectively. My iOS device and Android devices both mirror the same in the Sonos app. It doesn’t matter on which device I make a change; the mirroring is not lost.
The latest Sonos iPhone app update (80.06.03) and the latest Sonos IPad app (in landscape mode) has an issue with an “overhang” of the “Search Music Library” box on top of the “Folders” button. When I go to “Music Library” and then scroll down to “Folders” you can observe from the screenshot (from an Iphone 14 Pro Max) above that a “Search Music Library” button now overhangs the “Folders” tab. So if I try to click on “Folders” to navigate to my various music folders, it instead opens up the “Search Music Library” window.Sonos needs to space this out correctly and leave some room between the two buttons.
The Sonos Ace is an exceptional set of Headphones. They’re very comfortable and perform in every way Sonos designed them to.I’ve used/tested every feature that is listed on the Sonos Ace landing page at Sonos.com; including making and receiving phone calls. The music and cinematic experience is top notch either through a compatible Sonos soundbar (Arc, Beam, Beam 2, Ray) or Bluetooth using your device to listen to music.Quite a few people expected them to act like a Sonos speaker and work over WiFi. I’m OK with the fact that they don’t. Frankly, I expected the theater experience using Audio Swap with a Sonos soundbar to be the path taken. Just call me Psychic 😊 I also like the fact that you can set the Ace to use multiple soundbars and select the one you want to use afterwards. I use them with Arc x 3 and Beam2 depending upon the room I’m in. The Ace works with my iPhone, iPad and Android tablet. Can the Ace be improved? Yes. However, for Sonos’ first generation headset there’s very l
I spent HOURS getting my older sonos speakers set up (after being advised to by newer ones - no thank you since we have 5 speakers around the house) which were working perfectly. After the last app update I had to re-setup all of them (like from factory rest). All connect (not reliably) and one in particular say it’s been made available to the group but I cannot see it at all. I’ve done a factory reset 3x. It’s time consuming and very frustrating.

Hi everyone, I am considering getting a Sonos AMP to work with my existing Beam (Gen 2) soundbar and would like to clarify my intended setup.Question 1: Is it possible to connect all of the following to the Sonos AMP?Beam (Gen 2) One passive subwoofer Two passive speakersIf not, is it possible to connect the Sonos AMP with the passive subwoofer and the Beam (Gen 2)?
Turned on the TV this morning, no sound from Arc. Pressed TV on IOS app and got volume control but still no sound. Diagnostics sent. Would like IP:1400/reboot back. Getting too old to do the hands ‘N’ knees unplug. Some time back this was a common occurrence. Lately though it’s been better until today.
I’m having a lot of trouble since the new app just like a lot of you guys. I’m though having a problem where my Arc keeps disappearing in from the system. First sign is that I can’t find it under Airplay. When I open the Sonos app I’m meet with the message seen in the picture (system found and Arc and asks if I want to set up). If I then wait a few minutes the Arc completely by it self comes back to the system. Anyone else had this problem?
I’ve had enough. I’ve been a loyal customer of Sonos for many years, but the latest app has turned a rock solid product into a beta product.Reliability is now intolerable. Dropped songs. Dropping Atmos tracks half way through. Not being able to add albums, it’s a shocking, shocking state of affairs. How can a global, well respected company do this to its customers???? I have had enough. These speakers are now paperweights. I will invest in some other technology. These speakers are now only good for the trash can.
I am having this exact problem.Radio Paradise Skill on Sonos One repeats the same few songs | Sonos CommunityIt has happened on both a One and Beam. Today, it repeated the same 2 minute section of a song over and over. When I pressed skip, it kept repeating the “thank you for listening to Radio Paradise” announcement over and over. Unfortunately, the above linked thread does not seem to offer a resolution.
The current version of the S2 app includes the capability to downgrade to S1. Go to “help and support” and you'll find it.Your products have to be downgraded one by one, and they need to be 2020 or earlier.I recently downgraded my two Play 3 speakers to S1 and now all the features are back and the response is instant, as it should be.Simply reset your products to factory settings, then follow the instructions on the S2 app.Once that is done, install the S1 app and create your Sonos system. If you use the PC app as well, uninstall S2 using Windows Control Panel and download and install the S1 app in its place. It will then find your downgraded Sonos S1 system and connect to it. Everything then works as it should.A note for those of you who use Samba on Linux to share your music library, if you use Samba version 4, you need to add two settings to your ‘sub.conf’ file, then restart ‘smbd’ and ‘nmbd’.The settings are:server min protocol = NT1client min protocol = NT1Your S1 system will then
I can’t tune my brand new Arc and gen 3 sub with Trueplay because the app gets stuck on the “turn your phone around and point it at your TV at eye level” screen; the Continue button does nothing. Because of this, my new system sounds hollow and awful. I have heard that the new app released earlier this year in May is the culprit. I have tried restarting my iPhone 14 Pro Max, and deleting and reinstalling the app. I thought maybe I could get around this issue on my iPad Pro but I can’t even get get passed the license agreements screen, even after reading everything, the Accept button will not allow me to proceed. This app seems fundamentally broken. Does anyone know of any work arounds to get Trueplay working so I can enjoy the system that I paid nearly two grand for? I was really excited about finally getting a Sonos system for my setup, but unfortunately this debacle is making me want to take everything back to Costco and get something else.
The new sonos app on MacOS and iOS do not have a 15 second (or 30 second) rewind button option, or a forward button option which was on the previous app. When listening to a audiobook it was frequently used to replay by a 15-30 second jump backward. Using the scrollbar is difficult when going back a short distance
How do I attach the in ceiling round speaker grills. What for the magnets attach to?
I was about to buy my first SONOS speaker(s) and just came across the comments about the latest App and the issues with it. Of course , now I’m struggling. Should I wait or buy something else. How bad would it be for a first time SONOS user? Is it more a problem for a longtime SONOS customer that lost some features / functions he or she used to have? Thank you.
In my household, apparently it is only possible to have one system owner. If I want to use Sonos voice assistant, it is not possible for me to use my OWN playlist. If the system owner is not present, I cannot add a new Sonos device nor edit my OWN Sonos device. I think this is A very poor thought through concept as everybody should be able to edit the Sonos household, or at least let the System owner give the rights to different Sonos users that are in the same household. Because now I cannot use my Sonos to my full extent and have an incredibly limited use of my own Sonos. I cannot even wake let my Sonos wake me up with my own music. And I cannot reach the Sonos customer service if I don’t wait at least 30 minutes on the line. Also, the chat feature is unusable as you start at at least eight place and have to wait extremely long. The Sonos customer service is one of the most exhausting and customer unfriendly list services. I have tried to reach in a long time.
According to the Sonos ‘Support’ team, I am the only customer they have that has the following issue…Since the recent App update, I was unable to access Apple Music and had to ‘reauthorize’ this. Tried, failed, reported, advised, tried, failed etc. Uninstalled, reinstalled, repeat etcI was told that I could only access Apple Music if I had a paid monthly subscription, which would seem to me to be an illegal practice given I have a fully owned local library of 26,000 songs stored on Apple Music and indeed I can listen to that content on my Mac, iPhone, in my car etc. After testing that theory, it was indeed correct. Only by restarting a monthly subscription to Apple Music would it get past the Sonos gateway, which I don’t require as I subscribe to Spotify. On closer investigation, access to Apple Music through Sonos was then only limited to a minority of my library and playlists. Most tracks are ‘greyed out’ and can’t be accessed. Not just tracks I’d burned but also ones I’d paid for and
Hi. Yesterday we had a terrible thunderstorm, and a lot of the technical equipment was destroid. No light on sonos. Is it possible to repair, or do we have to buy new ones?Thnks in advance. Morten
Down again you idiots my whole system is off line .. what I am now trying to rebuild from scratch.. this I BS !!! Stop breaking your software!!
Well our Play 3 speaker is dead!!!! Troubleshooted with Sonos and they stated yes indeed the speakeris dead! Unbelievable! Thought I was buying a good quality product that would last and last. Speaker is7 yrs old and well taken care of. Instead it is junk. Only recourse Sonos would do for me is have me send the old speaker back and give me a 30% discount for a new product. I am not sure if I will do that or wait for our other two speakers to die and go with another brand!!!Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
Hello everyone, I just got gifted a Beolab 8 (Bang and Olufsen) and plan to buy a Sonos multirom system.I would liek to use the beolab 8 for the TV and connect it to the Sonos multi room system.I have two questions, please be kind my technical knowledge in sound system is limited : How do I connect the beolab 8 to Sonos ? From my understanding, to connect an other loudspeaker to the Sonos system I need to connect it to the Sonos port device using RCA cables. What I don’t manage to understand if this is the only right method and if beolab 8 has an RCA input (input or output I’m not sure what’s the right one) How do I connect the beolab to a TV ? I’m not sure but seems like I need to connect a beoconnect core device to the TV using HDMI ARC cable and then either connect beolab 8 to the beoconnect core with a cable or using wifi if the beoconnect core is connected to a wiza device. Please connerct me if any of my statments is wrong. Have a nice day !
Not sure what happened but it take way to long to finally Develop a connection with Bluetooth to my home system been a couple years. It has never been this difficult. Are usually try to connect to Apple Music on my phone.anyone else experience issues like this?
This is a new thread on a topic that was previously marked as ANSWERED but for the life of me I couldn’t find it!My iPhone app happily connects to my SONOS system, as does my MacBook app. However, my wife’s iPhone could not find our SONOS system on the app from her phone. I did all the recommended actions like rebooting the network etc. to no avail. None of the iPhone settings like private relay, blue tooth connectivity, LAN connection came into play. Our two phones are configured the same way! I even removed the app and reloaded it without success. In the end, I removed the app from her phone once again and power-cycled the phone. Then I reloaded the SONOS app and it worked. I could speculate on why this worked but I would just be guessing. If this works for you, I’m glad I could help.
