Trying to get the app to find my Play 1s after I changed the router. Successfully reset it to factory settings and set it up with one connected to router and the other on the same wifi channel. Linked as a stereo. System found the registration etc. All good until I unplugged and moved to my living room. Now app can’t find the products.
The playback indicator (the little animated graph) that moves when a speaker is playing a source is no longer being displayed in iOS app.
Roam 1 once the battery failed the device was useless. It will not work even with the power cable connected.
Wer weiß was? Viele Grüße
I changed my broadband provider today, as expected, non of my sonos devices work, none of the instructions in the app on line fix, the device works with an ethernet cable in, remove the cable and it doesn’t. Why on earth in 2024 are Sonos products completely incapable of working whereas everything else does, how can they get it soo wrong. Wasted hours and hours of my day for nowt.
I have 6 connects here and 2 amps. I factory reset all of them. I Downloaded the s1 app and when it tries to set them up it says some of them run s2 sw and then wants to uograde me back to the pos app that doesn’t work. does anyone have a solution. This is a unfunny joke thats been played on me by sonos for 5 yrs now.
The Libby program will NOT start at the same point of the book. The old APP did do this If I listen to a Libby book on JUST my phone for 1 hour and pause. Then I move to the new Sonos APP, and choose the Libby Book - the book starts over. The Sonos Controller for PC version 16.2 STILL works correctly. The prior Sonos APP did work as well. The new APP does NOT work.
Its more of a statement than a conversation but i would welcome any input if i havent quite worked the system out since the update.I swapped from Bose to see what all the hype was about but soon realised i had a little more control with my Bose and the sound was on par in my opinion.I use Android and could bluetooth my phone Which contains a great music library from way back when..... no age jokes... haha. All i would like is to have nothing on my home page other than what i choose ie my favorites in the order i want them instead of what sonos think i should see.The option to put on it what you want should be standard, if this is possible and i havent quite got to grips with the system yet i would love to know.
It is not getting any better. The new app instead of improving as promised now it is in fact getting worse. We lost access to the system, the system states always shows up as unconnected, we try to update the network and nothing happens. We have now a set of speakers that we relied on and were part of our routine that do not do the basic function, playing music .So disappointing, how can an app upgrade go so wrong.
I don’t know what you are experiencing, but from my point of view, Sonos took a perfectly good working app and screwed it all up.The new Sonos app almost makes my system unusable. It rarely identifies all my speakers, rarely connects to the speakers I want it to, and, when I try to control the volume it is almost completely ineffective.Being a tech person, I know these are software glitches that can be easily fixed with some resources and effort but Sonos does not seem to want to do that. Unless it is fixed, in a year or so when I choose upgrade my system, Sonos will not be on my list of options.
Like many others, I’m having difficulties connecting my Sonos speakers to a Google Nest Wifi Pro mesh network. My Arc, Move, Five, and Amps are connected fine. My Sub and two Ones aren’t.Tech support had me factory reset speakers, reconnect them, restart my Nest routers, round and round for about 5 hours, and eventually everything connected. That was two weeks ago. Today the Sub and Ones are off the network again. I factory reset them and tried to re-add them but that failed.I’ve read the threads on this topic but they are all closed so I thought I would start this new one. Here are a couple details I think make my situation particularly difficult:Not all of my Sonos are close enough to each other to see the Sonos network, so I can’t rely purely on SonosNet. Instead, I have wired two Nest routers to each other over a long distance. All Sonos can therefore see my wifi network. I also have Nest routers that are not wired together. None of my Sonos are close enough to the primary rou
This business of trying to blame everything that’s not working with your Sonos on the S2 App refresh is getting out of hand. Missing features are a legitimate concern and should be brought to the attention of Sonos. However, there are other areas being thrown into the fray that are not warranted. Here are three (3) examples:1. If the app is loading slow IT’S YOUR NETWORK AND/OR YOUR DEVICE.2. If speakers are missing IT’S YOUR NETWORK AND/OR YOUR DEVICE. 3. Interruptions with a streaming service is not and app issue (although Sonos may have to collaborate with the partner/provider as they post when they are down) it’s most likely a SERVER CONNECTION FAILURE.Interesting fact on #3. I had the pleasure to assist a member who all of a sudden couldn’t see their Spotify service on all devices. As I suggested (and they later realized) they had exceeded the number of registered devices for their account. It wasn’t an app issue!Bottomline…stick to what has actually been identified
Attn: Sonos CEO Patrick Spence, I’m writing this to give my thoughts on where Sonos has got it wrong with the new app and concerns on the companies direction. I, like many people, are Sonos lovers. It started with one device which convinced me of the dream of a single system running music through the house. We all listen to music in different ways and Sonos fulfilled that. I quickly became a marketing tool for the company because whenever anyone came to my house they would experience it. I was a big endorser of your product. But that’s all charged with the new app. It’s not irreversible which is why I’m writing to you, because I want my Sonos back… The biggest frustration for me with the new app is that I’ve been convinced to have a Sonos in every room, but I now struggle to use Sonos in my bedrooms because the new app initially didn’t include alarms but more so that it doesn’t include the sleep timer. This was used nightly in three rooms in my house. I now go to sleep listening to my
HelloIf you have the technical knowledge; or know someone who can assist, I highly recommend setting the QoS priority for your network assuming you can access the settings in your router. ISP supplied equipment may not allow this level of customization.Below is a general explanation of QoS as found on the internet:If you want in-depth information on QoS click the link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quality_of_serviceQuality of Service (QoS) ensures bandwidth for prioritized tasks and applications.Adaptive QoS ensures inbound and outbound bandwidth on both wired and wireless connections for prioritized applications and tasks via pre-defined, drag-and-drop presets: gaming, media streaming, VoIP, web surfing and file transferring. Traditional QoS ensures inbound and outbound bandwidth on both wired and wireless connections for prioritized applications and tasks via manual user-defined parameters. Bandwidth Limiter lets you set limits on download and upload speeds.I use Adaptive QoS and Aut
Dear Sonos team,i noticed this aspect with soundbar Arc: in music or films, every now you have to exceed half the volume to hear well and i have to increase the volume up to 60/70. If i set it to 20 for example, you can hear very little and it is too low. I believe that it’s essential to improve this aspect correcting the volume scale. Is this improvement expected in future updates?Thank you and good work.
Once again, instead of fixing bugs, the latest update has broken more things as I can’t even connect. What sort of QA testing is done before updates are rolled out? Cannot believe it!
Hi all! Before this big update, when TruePlay was activated, Surround speaker distance and Sub phase control got automatically grayed out, as they were set by TruePlay.Yet, after this update, even though with TruePlay is activated, Surround speaker distance and Sub phase control are also available, which seems to defeat the purpose of having TruePlay activated. Is this still to be fixed? Did anything changed regarding this, and from now on it is supposed to have these settings available?Hope I can get some faeecback, specially from the Sonos staff.
Sound cuts in and out when Roam is paired with Beam and watching a Prime movie
Since May, there have been lot of problems with the new app. Meanwhile, it seemed that things were moving for the better at last. But with the latest update of July 30, 2024, again a new problem has arisen for me.Now it is almost impossible to select "Folders" in the Music Library view of my iPhone app. Since "Folders" is on the last line in this view and the Search window is right below it, when you select a “Folders”, "Search Music Library" opens instead.Would it be possible to leave an empty line between "Folders" and "Search Music Library" so that the finger does not accidentally touch the Search button below it?Another option would be to make the order of the buttons in the Music Library view user-changeable, so that "Folders" can be moved up from the last row, if desired?
Before I get into how SLOW it is, let’s talk about the interface - TERRIBLE. Alarm - missing. Search - terrible.play list maintenance- missingi completely regret adding multiple SONOs devices to my home. hey SONOS - get your act together and FIX IT!
I can no longer select specific speakers to play specific music. Instead, each speaker plays something that was cued up days earlier and won’t shut off! My four speakers are now worthless. Anyone else have this problem? Were you able to fix it.The new app needs to be retracted and the old app reinstated.
Today...for the first time after spending months trying to follow confusing and incorrect ‘support’ via the community after the app update basically bricked my system...after calling...chatting...with others...I got Dana...finally (after spending 1.5 hours on the phone) got my system operational! I want to thank them for their unbelievably patient and personable support!I have asked them to screen shot what we did. In real terms all of us could do this ourselves...if we had clear guidance. Not words and links but images and steps. The full library integration is still not there...but that I can wait for. Not being able to listen to my music for months...was unacceptable. It is a lovely sunny day here made even better with the excellent support provided today by Dana!!Just call them...and they will screen share...and they will sort it out...or at least Dana will ;)
Latest (08/06/2024) app and firmware.Browse library to a song and start playing to a device, or group, with the play button. Music starts, confirm the queue by expanding the device from the bottom screen, view the queue list from the bottom left list icon. Queue shows the playing song. Return to the library and browse to a 2nd song (or album). Select "Add to End of Queue" or "Play Next". Dialog pops up with "Added to Queue". Expand Device from the bottom again and select the Queue list from the bottom left. The Queue list shows "Unable to load. Please try again".No matter how many times you 'try again' the queue is not displayed. The music plays on and even the newly adding song(s) will play. There is no way to get the queue to show up (and no way to clear the queue on Android), adding new songs doesn't do it, selecting a song to "Play Now" doesn't do it. This view of the queue will persist. What will 'fix' it is if you select a new song (album) and select the play button, or select "R
