Can someone please tell me I’m not the only one with no alarm still? Got an update for the crApp today but still won’t let me set an alarm! I’ve been late to work 3 times now. 3

Seriously? This new app sucks. Worse than Microsoft Bob. I’d be much better off with an eight dollar alarm clock from Walmart. A shame as your hardware is decent… hard to believe you’d introduce a massive software uograde without testing it. The second I dig up the Bose Wave Radio and plug that in, the Sonos is going to sit on a shelf as part of my hardware has been collection… and chances are low that I’ll think Sonos when I want an upgrade or music in a new room.

Do the edit-alarms feature was added back into the app, but I can’t edit times on them.  I select a new time & press Save…. But nothing saved.  Anyone else?

Alarms are apparently editable but for existing alarms when I change times or source of music, nothing is saved?

Regrettably I feel the same way , I have about 10 zones over both S1&S2 , I’ve been a customer since the ver fist units 18 years ago. This new app has ruined the user experience and makes Sonos no longer worth the premium price. It needs rolling back and rethinking!

As reported before: go to settings ( the gear symbol) and then click on “manage”

Thats it!

Be aware that , in my case, alarm times are set in GMT, so the alarms are 2 hours late: I’m in CET

I would recommend to check that out

Many issues with Alarms in the new Sonos app. Glad to see the Alarms function is back, but it's still broken:

  • I find that the time picker to set the alarm time is horrible to work with. Tiny font, hair trigger scroll wheels. Olympic eye-hand coordination needed.
  • When I want to change a repeated alarm to a one-shot alarm, in the previous app that was a matter of unchecking all weekdays. Now, when I uncheck all weekdays, the alarm won't save. I have to check a single weekday, and then the alarm saves as one-shot, and I return to the configuration, all weekdays are unchecked. Which is of course counterintuitive and just wrong, but also means it's impossible to change a repeated alarm to a single weekday!
  • When I save an alarm, it's not automatically switched on, like it was in the previous version of the app. So changing and setting an alarm requires the extra step of switching it on after save. Should not be needed, why change perfectly good behavior?
  • ALARMS SOMETIMES, RANDOMLY, DON'T GO OFF AT ALL!!! This happens almost on a weekly basis. I've literally overslept three times since the new app was released. (And no, this has nothing to do with the previous point. It also happens with an all-weekdays alarm that never changes and is always on in my config.)

Is any of this on the radar of the dev team? Will fixes be available any time soon?

My alarm function is mostly working now but it takes so many steps to get there it's ridiculous. For such a commonly used feature, it's really buried. Why not just include an alarm button on the main page?

Hallo

When I set an alarm in the new app, It will not save that it is too include group rooms. This became a problem only after I changed the time. It’s quite annoying, especially since I use it to wake up every day, so the music starts in all bedrooms, bathrooms, and the kitchen

After I got “upgrade” to the new app, I struggle -as everybody- with the alarms.

I managed to use the sonos app on a Mac to deactivate them due to having holidays here in germany. Yesterday I reactivated them, so it seems. According to the Mac Os App they are active, but none of the six alarms played this morning.

I also tried to create new alarms and none of them did work.

Any ideas what I can try?

Alarms don’t seem to work. My selected playlist doesn’t start. Today I tested it on chime mode to check and the alarm went off exactly two hours later (?). Any suggestions?

Hi, since the new app update I couldn’t understand why my alarm was not waking me. I have been to my Windows PC where it is easier to set the alarm and I have noticed that Sonos is showing the UK time as 1 hour behind the actual UK time. My Windows PC is showing the correct time, as is my iPhone. How can I correct the Sonos time? I never had this problem in the previous Sonos app, remember that one, the one that actually worked :o)

My phone force a SONOS update and now Sonos has suddenly no longer able to locate any speakers in the house and we can not.use it. We can find 1 speaker.via Spotify APP and zero speakers on SONOS APP.

Also, when it.did work the alarm function disappeared and we use the alarms a lot.

This is a very bad user experience. Any tips on how I can get this system working again?

The last two mornings, June 5 and 6, the alarm didn’t fire.

Still unable to set alarms - try installing June 4 update 80.02.04 - again this should have alarms (and all the other missing features, local library, playlist etc)  -  now the app won’t even load -  splash screen displays - exits.

Have uninstalled and reinstalled.  versions are as current as they can be.

The app has been removed again.

tried to open a chat last evening, says people are available - great- complete summary to outline issue (in chat window), sorry no one is available - end chat.

Why is this app even available?

Hi

Another frustrated Sonos user since the update.

My alarms no longer work at the scheduled time from online or my local NAS source.

I am working with Sonos support who advised I do a few things, one including reinstalling the App which I have done, previous to the app install I could see Alarms option in manage however since the re-install and logging into my account, it’s disappeared??

I am on the latest version of the Android App?

Anyone know what the hell is going on? I know Alarms feature has been resolved so why is it no longer appearing?

Any help on this is most appreciated.

Thanks

Certainly no one at Sonos has a clue.  They think it is better.  I don’t know that Alarms has been resolved, none of the 80.x.x version I have tried have had available.

The system is becoming more unstable with each new 80.x.x release. (iOS)   With the app now reinstalled (again)  at least it loads past the splash screen again, About the only thing that works however is volume control !!- everything else is now also gone, including streaming services..

This crap (I mean app) needs to be withdrawn and the older version made available again.

App is uninstalled again..  I can do volume control by walking to the speaker(s) and taping the button.

Shocking service, agree, I suppose on android I could side load back on again but my speakers are all now updated to latest update, not sure using an old app against the new updates would work?

I’m yet another person who’s app still isn’t allowing me to see or edit alarms. It doesn’t show up as an option in manage settings and I’m running the latest version (build 80.02.04, version 16.2 / 79.1-53290 for all speakers).

Overall, a surprisingly poor experience with still no resolution.

Why does the “live station” option for alarms result in the Sonos chime playing? I used to be able to have radio stations play.

Hi,

So ever since updating my sonos app, my alarms have not been going off. I’ve tried checking for updates, resetting the speaker to factory setting - everything i can think of, but no matter what, I can’t seem to make it work. Has anyone tried this before or know how to fix it?

Since today / tonight I get only chimes instead of the selected playlists or albums (from whatever service, including Sonos’ very own radios….) when alarms are set  or modified with the mobile app. It does work normally when doing the same through the Desktop app. But guess what Sonos: i do not sleep with my desktop next to my bed… yet another addition to the beautiful, collection of s….y ‘improvements’ to the fangtsatic new mobile app
