Controllers and Music services

I’ve seen similar posts with this issue, but cannot find a resolution to mine.  I have iTunes library stored on desktop PC, with the entire library synced to DS220+ NAS via Synology Drive. The synced folder on the NAS is what my Sonos app is synced to for my music library. All the songs appear as they should, and playback no problem. However, when I go to the Imported Playlists folder in the Sonos library to access my iTunes playlists, some of the songs show as the file name: “Artist - Title.mp3”, and won’t playback as Sonos app shows error message:  “Unable to play (Song file name/location), cannot be found”. But the song appears and plays normal when going through the Artist folder and the file name doesn’t show with the .mp3 extension like it does in the playlist error.This obviously appears to be some issue with the playlist file iTunes is generating, but I don’t know what it could be...since the playlists sync fine and some of the songs will appear/playback as normal, but som disp

For reasons not relevant here I had to resubscribe to Qobuz with new account credentials.  Sonos is still showing playlists, albums, etc from the old account and the new account at the same time. Since I don’t remember which was on which account, I frequently start to play something from the old account and Sonos goes all algo agro on me.  “No can do” it seems to say.  Except it says it in far less poetic ways.  How do I get rid of all of those defunct sources from the old account? I would think that Sonos would just sync with the credentials it has NOW, and not show stuff from an account that is no longer active, but sadly it ain’t doing that. And, of course, I can’t go onto the Qobuz website and manually remove that stuff because, well, the account doesn’t exist any more.  

Hi. I use You Tube Music on Sonos and like scrolling through the 25 or 30 new albums on “New Releases” but for some reason about a week when I go to “New Releases” on Sonos it only shows one or two new albums. Does anyone know if this is a Sonos problem or a You Tube Music problem?  And more importantly how it can be fixed? I tried re-installing You Tube Music on Sonos but nothing changed. Thanks! 

Hi, my wife and I both play our Shazam tracks via our iPhones through our Sonos amps. For some reason a few weeks ago it started only listing and playing her Shazam tracks on my app. I have no idea why it has stopped accessing mine as the Shazam app has them listed correctly. It is really annoying as I can no longer just play them as a playlist, as I used to.  Any suggestions as to how to solve this would be much appreciated!

This appeared two years ago as Deleting ghosts from my Sonos Music Library but the answer doesn’t work for me.I use my iTunes music library as the source for the Sonos music library.  I regulary update the Sonos music library when the iTunes library changes.  ITunes imported an unrecognizable album and named the tracks: Track 01, Track 02, etc.  I used the iTunes Find Info to change the album name.  Everything went into Sonos including the ‘Track 01’ ‘Track 02’ song titles.  I then went into iTunes and used Find Info to manually enter the real Track names.  I used iTunes to delete the Track 01, Track 02 files and confirmed they were not in the iTunes Music folder.  Everything looks correct in iTunes AND the iTunes music folder.  I then reupdated the Sonos music library.  Now, for each song I have two selections: The track name I entered (correct) and the original Track 01 . . .  I can’t see how to remove the Track 01 . . . from the Sonos Library.  These don’t exist in the iTunes librar

Having an issue for a couple days now. The app doesn’t load completely. My system works when I choose to play through the Spotify app and my network is working.  I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app and signed in and out several times. Same outcome of dead screen.   

Hii am looking to switch over from Spotify to Tidal.but one of the main features I use is Spotify Connect, where I can select my Sonos speaker(s) from within the Spotify app.i read that the same should be possible from Tidal app, but my Sonos speakers don’t show up in the app.. (Screenshots above show Spotify app and Tidal app next to eachother).And I KNOW that I can use apple AirPlay but that is not what I want, because my phone doesn’t always have good Wifi reception, so I want the music to be streamed directly from the Tidal Server to the Sonos speaker and not going through my iPhone.  BONUS QUESTION:Is Tidal integrated with Sonos Voice command? Currently it is still not possible to search for Spotify music via Sonos Voice command.

When opening FE: soundcloud likes in the sonos app it does not show the full title of a song/liveset.See 500 - the boom room and 503 - the boom room. Would it not be possible to show the title scrolling horizontally un the app?

Anybody else experiencing laggy performance on the S2? Mine’s horrible, volume control takes an age to adjust and going back the app after songs have played, it takes forever for the song that’s playing to update on the app.  I’ve had Sonos gear for the past 10 years and honestly long for the days when everything just used to work… 😢

Feature RequestHello! I’d like to make a request to see a music service added to the list that Sonos offers. I’ve searched and it doesn’t seem to be there. It’s called Aimi.fm and they have a dedicated iOS and Android app as well.I use this streaming service all the time, but I have to play it via their native app because it’s not available on Sonos, which causes some streaming problems since the speakers aren’t being recognized as a “group” like they are when you play something through the Sonos app, and eventually they fall out of sync with each other.It would be awesome if this service was added to the list. Thank you!

In the Sonos app, spotify works for Playlist and Numbers and all others….but when I select Albums (my libary) I recieve a time out failure…..spotify connection renewed, sonos app reinstalled, chatted for hours with Sonos and Spotify….no resolution…..issue occurs on Desktop (W10, Iphone, Ipad)

I use to be able to stream the playlist on my phone through my house system (Amp) and the Sonos app.  Not sure if an update eliminated it or not, but I can not stream the playlist that are on my phone anymore.  Is it just me and I need to do something different / new or has that been eliminated?

Je n’ai pas trouvé de réponse. Play 3 configuré en Wifi à partir d’une box fibre Orange et un répéteur wifi. la configuration du Play 3 se fait sans problème je me connecte à partir de l’app S2 sans problème sur le Play 3 pour faire des recherches et lancer de la musique. le problème une fois la musique en cours message « connexion impossible remédions à ceci…. »j’ai suivi le re-configuration mais toujours même problème. j’ai déplacé le Play 3 plus près de la box orange toujours même problème. Sur l’app j’ai supprimé le Play et refais l’installation complète, toujours même problème. une fois la musique en route perte de la connexion et impossible de reconnecter le Play 3. seule possibilité pour arrêter la musique est le bouton pause sur le play 3. j’en suis arrivé à me dire que je vais changer mon plat 3 par une autre marque. Quelqu’un a t il déjà rencontré se problème ?une solution ?cdtJean-Pierre Moderator edit:Google Translate-Good morningTh

It's sad to buy a Sonos product in Portugal and not have the Google Assistant or Amazon Music that other devices brands have. Is Tidal on Sonos expected to be equivalent in quality to Amazon Music someday?Thanks

Moving House is hard. Packing all the stuff, moving it and unpacking it all.But I discovered something way worse… it is installing your new wifi network. It is easy for most devices which need it, like iPhones, Laptops, Smart Lamps and etc etc.But.. reconnecting a Sonos Playbar and Sonos One’s. Man of man.. that is truly a nightmare..My wife wanted to move back to our old place to solve it. And some smart people helped.. but it took us hours. I will not move again or leave my Sonos products and get something else.. it was an horeous experience…And all the people who helpend moving us.. THEY WILL NEVER BUY Sonos products… 

Late in March 2024, my iPhone S1 app stopped seeing my Sonos devices.  I found earlier fixes that don’t help.  I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max with iOS 17.4Settings->Privacy & Security->Local Network->Sonos S1    is ON and was always ONSettings->Sonos S1->Local Network    is ON and was always ONI toggled the settings, rebooted my iPhone, and deleted and reinstalled the Sonos S1 app, to no avail.The same settings and symptoms are true on my wife’s iPhone X.  Sonos S1 used to work, now cannot find any devices.I know it’s the controller because the whole system is seen and works from the Sonos S1 PC app and by Python sonos macros on my Linux PC and my wife’s Windows PC, but it’s cumbersome to not be able to control from my phone.

How do I add the mlb app to sonos?

The info about Deezer via https://support.sonos.com/en/services/deezer  suggests that podcasts and live radio are available via Sonos.  Indeed, the current notification about Radio France leaving TuneIn & Sonos Radio states that Radio France is available via Deezer. (https://status.sonos.com/) The Deezer service has NO menu options for podcasts, or live radio - only music sources are available.  😁   

Hallo allerseits,ich versuche DLF Nova als Weckermusik einzustellen und finde es sehr unpraktisch, wie man bei Sonos Radio nach den Sendern suchen soll. Es gibt dort scheinbar keine Suchfunktion, sondern man muss sich durch endlose Listen durchquälen (auf denen ich dann am Ende DLF Nova nicht finde….)?Auch über TuneIn habe ich keine Suchfunktion entdeckt, sondern wieder nur endlose Listen. Gibt es da einen Trick? When I click on add service nothing happens.It looks like it is trying to do something but there is not menu. I'm on Pixel 7a fully updated.

Sonos S2 App quits while trying to add new service.(scrolling down the list of services halfway, app closes)I am using IOS 17.4.1any info on this issue?

I have a question regarding Spotify and Sonos. I have connected to Spotify but can't Spotify to play through a room on Sonos, what am I doing wrong.

I am a long-time Sonos user and have quite a bit of content saved in My Sonos.  Must of the content is composed of links to songs and albums in Deezer, my primary music service.  Several days ago, while attempting to browse Deezer, Sonos informed me that the service was no longer active and that I would need to re-connect to the service.  So I proceeded to delete the Deezer service and re-add it, which completed successfully.  However, when the service was deleted, all of the links in My Sonos became instantly invalid (i.e. they are now greyed out).  Re-adding the service did not re-activate the links and I am now faced with having to re-create the entire contents of My Sonos.I don’t recall ever receiving a warning that My Sonos links could be wiped out like this.  And there has never been a way to back up the My Sonos content to avoid an unfortunate event like this one.  I have always been a happy Sonos user, but not so much any more. 

Hello there,  Sonos Radio seems unable to launch some of the TuneIn stations anymore. For instance, all the stations from Radio France (french national network) are unresponsive : franceinfo, France Inter, France culture… When selected and launch, nothing happens.  This does not happen with other Sonos radio stations nor with other TuneIn stations. 

Crossfade feature on Sonos when streaming Spotify works on every other song. It will play one song, crossfade correctly, then play the next song for 20 seconds and skip to the next song. That song will play in its entirety and crossfade correctly then skip the next song after about 20 seconds. I see this topic has been posted many times before with no resolution. Any help???I use Sonos quite a bit and this feature helps the mood for events. I will need to switch to other services if this persist. Thanks!
